An absolute wonderful teacher! She is always willing to help you and has such a positive attitude. There are no surprises in this class, she is straightforward. She makes public speaking less nerve wracking and reinforces ALOT. Awesome teacher and good person. Just put forth the effort and you'll get alot out of this class.

Very sraight forward and is genuinely interested in how you do in the class. Class included a personal presentation, group presentation, two exams and two papers. It may sound daunting but the work is fun and the people in the class get to know each other.

Great professor! One of the best I've had at KSU. She makes talking in front of class easy and straight forward-plus she grades extremely easy. The two tests are directly from her powerpoint and are also extremely easy.

Prof. Jersey is SO sweet. She understands that people are intimidated by public speaking and makes every efford to help students with it. She had us play games and do group work, so our class really bonded and enjoyed each other, making our speeches easier. I describe her this way: caring, nurturing, kind, and understanding. Definitely take her.

Tests can be difficult but she goes over material the class before the test. If you show up and give an effort, you should do fine. Not an easy a, but an A is very manageable. Offer to be a class leader, there is academic compensation.

I took her during Maymester.You got Self Intro(50pts).Midterm(300).Group Pres(200).Vista Discussions(100).Final(300).Attendance(100)/1000. Never needed the book she has Powerpoint. Helpful reviews b4 the exam.NOT a tough grader but work has to be done. Never stay for the whole 5hrs.TAKEHER!

VERY easy, very sweet lady. However, if you have low patience then i do not recommend this class. sometimes i felt as if she were teaching a 5th grade class...

Prof Jersey was extremely sweet. She is very approachable and grades easily. All you have to do is turn in your work, attend clas and participate in the group projects and it's an easy A. She goes over everything that will be on tests and always posts a study guide. In order to get that A, studying is highly recommended for tests.

WARNING!! if you get stuck in a bad group, you are thhere for the entire semester and your grade WILL suffer! its the luck of the draw, too, unless you know a bunch of people in the class. the end of sem. lots of emphasis on peer evaluaitons. dont buy book

Jersey is THE BEST! Take her if you can. Easy class, make sure you pick your group for 2 projects wisely. 3 exams, study powerpoint notes from WEBCT, and if you miss more than 3 days she takes off points. But the class is interesting, and easy so go! I have the book and will have used it twice the whole semester. You should buy the workbook though.

If you don't mind chipping in for some group project work, I guarantee you this will be one of the easiest classes you take. I was lucky enough to get in with a pretty cool group for the semester. Mrs. Jersey is extremely nice and has a fill-in-the-powerpoint-blanks style of teaching. Tests are easy, final was a breeze. Easy A for sure.

She is awesome!! TAKE HER IF YOU CAN!!! Her class is interesting and so much fun! She puts a new spin on Communication. Her tests are straight from the power points. There is a cultural group project at the end of the semester but if you get in a good group it can be fun!

Ms. Jersey is a very nice, pleasant lady. The class is not really hard, but be prepared to do a lot of group work. I thought the tests were a little harder than they should have been, but there is a pretty decent amount of extra credit.

Professor Jersey makes the course interesting with many video clips to emphasize chapter points. A generous grader. 4 tests (non-cumulative). An easy "A" if you do the assignments and get in a good group for the team project. Bonus points galore available! If you have to take this course...take it from Prof. Jersey!!

I took her for Human Communication- I signed up for group leader for the extra 50 bonus points. The class was great- just do your work. You do have to show up because it counts against you at the end of the semester- but the class is worth showing up for. She was great- easy A. No need to buy book~ the final was a piece-of-cake. Very nice teacher. She had interesting subject matter and class time. Always nice when you get to watch the office. But she was not always clear about how things were to be done or what she wanted performance wise. All in all a good experience.

She was a pretty awesome teacher. Overall the class was easy. The intercultural project at the end of the semester was not that bad, just make sure you choose a good group. Make sure you do your work and come to class. If you pay attention you won't have to do much studying for the tests. They're really easy. Don't bother to get the book.

Jersey is such a nice teacher and very approachable. She has power points posted online so it is very easy to follow along during class. Make sure you pick a good group otherwise it can be a little stressful. She has review sessions before each test which basically tells you what's on the test. If you don't pay attention in class, be ready to study

I love this professor....she is interesting and reasonable...one of the best I have had so far....everything is almost handed to you...u must just read the material, pay attention in class, and PICK A GOOD GROUP. If not....ur screwed(a little). Lucky me...I had the best group ever.

One of my favorite teachers in college! Professor Jersey is so enthusiastic about teaching communications, and really wants her students to do well! There are a lot of group assignments, so if you don't like group work, don't take her class! She is very helpful! I finished with an A+. I definitely recommend taking her class!

She is an awesome professor. Very fair grading style. Tests are easy, all answers are from in class powerpoints. You have one group project and one essay, but they both are a piece of cake. You can exempt the final if you have a 95 or better. Overall, extremely easy class.

The nicest teacher I have ever had. I dreaded this class but its actually totally easy. She gives you all the resources you need to pass. There isn't that much speech in it other than a group presentation.

Class is somewhat interesting she shows videos and does class activities/games. Tests are hard you have to know the power-points thoroughly. As long as you know every term on the power-points you will do OK.

Love her! Attendance is mandatory, and you definitely need both of the textbooks. Her class is so interesting, and as long as you do all of the work (which is not a lot at all), you will get an A. Take this class!!!:):)

Professor Jersey is such a sweet, cute lady. Definitely go to class, because you can only miss 2 days without penalty. There is one group project. Lectures are pretty interesting, and most of the tests are online. She makes the class fun. Not hard, but study for the tests. I really liked her.

TAKE THIS CLASS! She is easy, gives many examples, willing to help you, and she is FUN! Definitely not a boring lecture class. She does a lot of group projects. Jersey is a great lady. She wants you to get a good grade. Apply to be a group leader. She gives 40 extra credit points to her group leaders and she learns who you are so if you are borderline on a grade, she will bump you most likely. Her tests are online and if you use the powerpoints you should do just fine. I highly recommend her.

If you do poorly on a test go to office hours. You will go over test questions and by the end of the session earn points toward your overall test grade. Do the Concept Review Sheets for the tests! Public Speaking summer class. 5 speeches total, classes in between include powerpoints and lectures and activities with the class. She's a fun teacher and class is entertaining. doesn't grade hard on your speeches and she gives great feedback if you go talk to her. GO TALK TO HER after your speech is graded!!! She wants to help. When I sprained my ankle and could not go to class for a day, she took my late homework and even gave me a hug. She is the sweetest and is a great person. She is funny and tries to relate to us young people. Not an amazing teacher but a great time. Just review the powerpoints and you will do fine.

This class is pretty easy as long as you do the coursework. Lectures are long, but you are put into small groups to help with the load of material. Fill in the blank ppts - word for word on the test, which are online. Textbook/workbook not necessary, she lets you type it out on word.

This is a class I actually enjoyed. Professor Jersey makes class interesting by showing funny, relatable video clips and having student volunteers act things out. She makes the class really easy while being a great and memorable professor. She canceled class probably 1/4 of the time and I was actually bummed bc her class is that enjoyable

I have never had a professor as willing to work with her students as she is. I took this class based on a personal recommendation. She expects her students to come to class or if you must miss just let her know. I thought each class is very engaging and I was constantly laughing. Leaned very applicable knowledge for real world.
