She's very nice and cool. Her exams are easy too

Very nice and helpful. Not really that difficult, although I totally messed up in that class. Tells interesting stories and is extremely down to earth. I did poorly in the class but I still like her. I would take her again.
Probably one of the best teachers I have ever had. Very interesting in class lectures and prepares you very well for the final. I completely recommend taking the class. However, it is required that you take notes and read the book in order to do well.
She can give quite a few problems for homework but her tests are extremely fair. The class goes by really quickly, never a dull moment. Received an A in the class.
she is an awesome teacher, i messed up on the first exam, but if you do all the problems you will get an A in the course, she is a very good teacher, she is able explain everything cleary
i think her exam is not that easy and she is a bit harsh
She is a great professor. She knows how to make class fun and you don't even notice the time pass by. Her tests are based on problems that were covered in class. Great teacher.
I thought law was going to be hard, but she made it seem easy, and i also enjoyed the class, she made it fun rather than just all business, or something that she wants to get over with, shows very much dedication and appreciation for students and work.
Great professor. She makes it so fun with her stories. Explains everyhing very well. Didn't collect a single homework, but its recommended to do it. If you listen and take notes, you'll do great.
one of the best profs i have ever taken. makes the class very interesting. you should take her, especially if you are interested in law.
The best professor ever. She explains things so clear. If you take her you won't be disappointed.
her tests are not as easy as she makes you think. She expects you to know all her little terms.
Very caring and very nice teacher. very concerned for students
Her tests are not as easy as you may think.
Very nice but very picky. Exams are tough cause you're supposed to remember a lot of little details.
Amazing Profeesor. I was fully prepared to get bored but she actually made it very interesting. Study what she does in class and the questions she discusses - u should be able to get an A. Shes a bit picky on details though so be careful!
She was one of the best professors I've ever had. Great explanations and examples. Tests are ok if you study. She is very helpful. Attend the last day of classes - she'll review for the final and trust me: you don't want to miss that.

She's nice and she explains stuff ok, but her grading isn't fair.
Carefully read the textbook and statutes, do the chapter-end questions, and you'll be fine. Pay attention to details. Try to tune out her irrelevant tangents about her personal life, the classwork is very straight-forward.
she is such a good teacher but she is an EXTREMELY unfair grader. you can work your butt off and still end up with a B. if u take her, get ready to make sure ur exams are perfect! BOOOOOO
She is an extremely smart professor and her class work is very easy to understand. You just need to come into class ready to listen and practice the homework problems. Tests are straight out of homework and nothing tricky.
Easy. Wish I had more classes like it. Easy on the eyes too, if you like older ladies. ;)
Exams are from the textbook and chapter questions, know all the little details and nuances.
She is an extremely good professor. Take notes in class. Tests are straight from the notes and end of chapter problems, which she does in class...you dont really have to do them at home. Fair grader, contrary to what other students have listed here. Good professor that teaches you material you can a
very good prof very nice woman She gives u sample questions exactly what like what is on the test. She also repeats important stuff over and over so even if u dont come everyday or sleep like i did u should be ok. I got an A in the class. just do well on the department final and that is not to hard.
great professor, gives problems for hw and she goes over them in class; clarifying everything. problems are the best way to learn law 3102 in my opinion, reading the textbook doesn't really help all that much. emphasizes which probs you need to know-ones that show up on tests.
Great Professor!!
Great professor!!! I took her for LAW 1001, and liked her sooo much, that decided to take her again for 3120. She is very easy, very fair, all the tests are exactly from HWs, and she goes over every HW problem in class. With good notes, easy A in this class. Wish there were more professors like her!
Watnick may seem like a difficult professor but she is not. She explains clearly the answers to the assigned problems and her lectures are easier and more understandable than reading the book. Definitely take her class if you really want to learn business law and enjoy the class at the same time
EXCELLENT Prof!! Learned a lot from her class. Come to class and take good notes and you will do fine in her class. Gives lots of examples in class that are like exam questions. Took her for the first LAW class too. Would take her again.
Great professor, goes over all the questions for the exam and clarifies everything. Shes a really nice person and I would definately recommend taking her.
If someone is going to take law, take her. Consider yourself lucky if you get into her class. She is so intelligent and finds easy ways to explain hard concepts. TAKE HER CLASS!
Great professor. She explains difficult concepts and outlines the book. Her examples make the tests a lot easier. I highly recommend taking her class.
She is easy. She teaches you exactly what you need to know. Forget about reading the book, study her slides and problems in class. She always repeat herself to make sure you know everything. I feel asleep 1/3 of the time and stll manages to get an A- =)
good professor! only i can say is i got only a b in the first law class and got an a in the second law class just because i took a right prof.
Although her tests might seem a little hard, she tells you exactly what to do to succeed. Her class is interesting. Just listen to her and take notes; you finish the semester having learned a lotttt!
She's tough, and you have to study a lot. I was expecting an A, but I was shocked when I got lower than that. Maybe you'll get an A if you like Seinfeild :::shrugs:::
please, do yourself a favor and listen to her when she says "read and do the homeworks",write more than she asks, and you'll get an "A", she tries to be tough (sometimes is), if you want nice - take prof.Kaminer
you dont even have to take note in her class...she repeats everything at least 5x and does so many problems that all you have to do is study the prblems and you will pass with a good grade
Great professor and remarkable lady. All I have to stress is come to class, listen and pay attention to what she focuses on and most of all do all the problems, it makes life so much easier when it comes to taking the exams. She explains everything very clearly with good examples.

Don't fool yourself, if you think this is an easy A forget it. You have to earn it. Come to class and take good notes, try to do problems on your own, its a good way to learn the material quicker
come to class, do the problems and you will do fine.
AWESOME professor! She rocks! ***COME TO CLASS*** Take good notes and study your notes hard and you'll do fine on her two midterms and the departmental final. I ended up with a B+. Take her if you have a chance.
LAW is a hard subject in general. The exams were not hard but they are also not easy! Prof. Watnick has a lot of energy and enthusiasm in every class and cares a lot about her students. Highly recommend her!
AWESOME professor my favorite in this school so far. Gives two midterms and a final. Her tests are not that hard but you do need to go to every class and take lots of notes. For the most part all you need to do for her tests is study the questions. The final is departmental and counts for half of your grade, study for the final it’s a killer.
Talked too much about her personal life. Otherwise, fair. Study the questions from the text and go to class.
She is soo cool..THe best law teacher.... goes from the book and notes, i got a 91 on first test and i really studied ....you must study at least 10 hours. go over chapter problems. n you'll be fine.....
Very helpful professor. She goes thru every problem and prepares you well for exams. She does have a slight tendency to just scream at students, out of the blue, on rare occasions. Nevertheless, is because she cares about her students doing well.
One of the best professors at Baruch. She's clear and goes over every problem necessary. She's very helpful and intelligent. Got an A on the first exam. The final was a department final so I think it was harder than what she would've given as a final.
She repeats everything at least twice and all of the problems are repetitive up until the midterm. Her midterm is very fair and you should have no prob getting a high grade on it, however she flies through the 2nd part of the course (BCL laws) which means you wont do good on the dept final, but that means a curve. Got slightly higher than expected
Attend all classes b/c she goes over all HW problems in detail. Midterm was easy, but the dept. final was very tricky, and we probably had a nice curve. Start studying for final early by reviewing the questions periodically. Prof. Watnick is a wonderful professor, very helpful and clear. I typed out all the Qs and answers, which helped me get an A
IF U WANT TO LEARN AND GET A GOOD GRADE TAKE HER...MIDTERM EXTREMELY EASY BECAUSE SHE GON MAKE U LEARN IT...TAKE HER...FUN CLASS...TIME FLIES
God she is so good. I loved her class and if you want to get an A copy all of the problems that she writes on the board and redo them yourself. She gives a Great review for the final.really easy quiz, and midterm. The final was a piece of cake too.
Prof. Watnick is one of the best and most caring professors at Baruch. I truly enjoyed her class and she really takes time out for her students. Be prepared to do work. The class isnt for slackers...but after your done youll feel like it really paid off. Term paper consumes almost the entire semester...so you better do well on it.
One of the greatest professors in the Law department, and probably the whole college. Class is great. Must pay attention and study to do well on the exams. With some effort getting an A is not difficult.
Great. Under New York State Law, I wished she also taught accounting courses.
Watbick is one of the BEST teachers in Baruch. I didn't know if I was going to like this class because it was 3 hrs on a Friday, but she somehow made sure I did. She explains everything fully, rereads things if you have trouble, and helps you get everything. Doing the readings and HW helps you keep up in class. She also puts slides on blackboard
Not a class for people who need clarity and organization. There's lots of confusion, from the very first day. One paper w/ three drafts and two presentations is what you focus on the entire semester. Better have flawless grammar or you're not going to do as well as you could.
Go to class take notes and you'll be fine.
She is absolutely helpful to students who really want to do well in her class. You do your readings and the cases and you will be fine. She is a fair grader too and very knowledgeable of her profession.
Wonderful professor. She makes class so interesting that you just want to go to class! She teaches in a way where you can learn and the material she teaches can be taught in under 1 hour! The class is suppose to be 2 hours long but she lets us out like 1 hour earlier! And YES you still understand everything. She is also very funny!HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
She is a great law professor and really cares about you passing the final and knowing the material. Although she may seem very strict when you first meet her, once you get to know her, she is very nice. The slides she posts on blackboard are very helpful for taking the class notes. I would recommend you to take her class.
the class was very fun and interactive. not only does she explain examples from the book but she gives real life experiences of her own. shes very experienced and knowledgeable of this subject. you wont regret taking this class with her! she makes law easy and entertaining. you'lll love the class!
I love her, she knows how to teach and explain in in a consumable way, if you do the hw (quite challanging sometimes), you will be very prepared for the class. She always review before exams and give fair grades
She is very helpful and makes funny jokes. We laughed a lot! to get A you should read the chapter before class she is going to discuss it. and rewrite all problems' solutions by hand before exams, those done in class and handout problems she gives you. if you do you will get A. I am so happy I taken her! she made it fun to learn
Makes class seem easy and laid back at first and once she grades the tests, she's very tough and wants to hear WORD FOR WORD what she taught, if it is in any different form she will take of points. Won't even help you out on your grade, her method is BS. Don't take her...
she's tough, but by far one of the best explainers i've ever seen. breaks down every topic into details for students and gives examples. she grades very strictly though, make sure you read the book and remember everything, and go to her class EVERYDAY. practice every single problem she assigns. things should work out fine then.
She is a great professor. Her classes are a lot of fun and the exams are pretty easy as long as you answer the questions in a specific way. She tells you all the time how you have to answer them. If you pay a little bit attention to her lecture you can easily get an A. I studied for 3 hours on average (even for the final) and got an A.
not bad to look at ;) she loves teaching and knows an incredible amount about the subject. she wants to see her students do well but she makes them work for their grades. all i did was pay attention during class and last minute review before the test and aced it everytime. shes also pretty funny. take her now!!!
Even though I got a C+, I somehow still really enjoyed taking this class. She was crystal clear in her explanations, and I learned A LOT. Exams are kind of difficult because she expects very thorough answers with meticulous detail. Great professor who somehow made Law fun to learn.
I lovee her! Professor Watnick makes everything crystal clear. She has this aura that forces you to pay attention which is great because a lot of what she teaches in class is seen in the exams. Just pay attention, take notes, practice the problems and an A will be easy peasy. I will miss Professor Watnick's class. :(
She's very enthusiastic about what's she teaching. Law is definitely not an easy subject but she manages to help us understand it the easy way. She uses slides to make everything organized. I just love sitting in her class and listen to the lessons. Sometimes I even use the law terms I'd learned against my friends just for the fun of it.
Really fun teacher, i loved her class and miss her. She makes me want to take higher level law courses, really good teacher. Tests are pretty simple and relatively easy, her tests are much harder than the final, just listen and do the hw and reading and an A is easy. Shes a fun teacher to have and will answer any questions, cool and just so nice.
Prof Watnick is a great English professor........What? This isn't English class, cuz that's what it felt like.... the whole semester she was trying to show off her grammar knowledge, which was extremely annoying. What a waist of my money and time.
very hard course but the teacher is great, she MAKES you learn, want it or not
Professor Watnick is great! She really cares about her students. She wants you to learn and will work with you if you do not understand something. She is the type of professor you do not want to disappoint. You will want to go to class and learn. This course was very enjoyable. Definitely will take another one of her classes.
Professor Watnick is amazing! She is so interesting and always uses funny examples to help students remember the material. Two midterms (fairly simple if you study and pay attention in class) one departmental final. Take her!
Excellent professor. As are a rarity. She is sincere and passionate. She's intelligent, amiable, and beautiful. She holds her students in high esteem and expects them to excel. She can never praise without adding a captious remark, which is helpful. She's flexible, human, and her course is a big time investment.
Annoying prof.... Couldn't wait until the end of semester to never go to that class again.
Strongly disagree with the previous review. The best professor ever. Her classes pass so fast that you won't even notice. Very fun, enjoyable, passionate. Highly recommended!
She's an amazing professor! She genuinely cares about every one of her students. She goes over problems thoroughly and makes sure that everyone understands them. Her midterm and the department final are relatively easy. Do the problems she assigns and you will do well on the exams. She's really awesome! You do not want to disappoint her!
Professor Watnick is honestly a great professor. The course is challenging but she motivates you to try your best. She is a great recommendation to anyone who has to take this course.
Professor really cares about her students. The honors section was relatively small and everyone received individualized attention. The class is difficult and the entire course is spent writing. Books read in class were actually engaging and enjoyable. She is recommended if you want to put in a lot of work and get something valuable in return.
Honest Review: By far in Baruch Business Law is going to be redundant! That being said Prof Watnick is very clear on what she needs from students READ READ & READ she will go by quickly be very careful don't get on her bad side Attend 2 midterms Dept Final
she really is an awesome professor. respect her and she will respect her. she expects a lot from her students and has high standards. she will push you to do your best. if you want to challenge yourself you should take her. if you put the effort, work and dedication you will come on the top with this class.
Professor Watnick is awesome! At first I was kinda intimidated by her b/c a)I was forced to take this class even though I'm a lib arts student and b)she's really exuberant LOL. Seriously though, she's a passionate person, and she really cares about her students-you cant tell she wants everyone to pass. It's not an easy A, but she's a great professor!
Amazing professor. Former lawyer who is very enthusiastic and knows that material better than anyone else. Pay attention and put the work in and you will do well. Willing to do whatever it took to help out.
Great professor. Engaging and makes sure that students know the material. Do your work and you'll find that Professor Watnick makes Business Law interesting and engaging. Make sure that you do the questions that she assigns and take many notes when she goes over them in class. Lovely lady. Would take again.
Awful experience. Class is a struggle for absolutely no reason. Believes that students actually care about this Macaulay class but we are in fact forced to take it and really don't care. 20 page research paper and annoying final. Pick a different professor or risk wasting time going to useless field trips.
One of the best law professors you could take. Her lectures are incredible but fast-paced. If you don't understand something, don't hesitate to ask for help! She will stop and put concepts into perspective to make it easier. Law has never been so interesting. Clear, tough and a prime example of what a model professor is. The best I've ever had!
Professor Watnick genuinely makes an effort to help students become articulate. Her lectures were clear, concise, and self-contained, much like the papers she expects throughout the semester. If you put in the effort, getting an A is incredibly easy in this class, and, on top of that, you actually learn instead of having to memorize.
Extremely frustrating professor, very one sided and grades incredibly harsh. Don't know why other reviews called her caring, went to her after receiving a bad grade and didn't help me whatsoever. Extremely picky in her grading of the papers, a lot a reading and didn't learn anything new about law.
she is very strict but is well-organized and makes you feel that you've learnt alot through her lectures. Definitely not a self-taught class, she can give you every help you need!
Professor Watnick is purely amazing! She cares a lot! She gives a lot of good examples and explains everything well. A total of 3 exams and easy quizzes on Mindtap. Just brilliant!
Professor Watnick's environmental law class was amazing. It consisted of three papers, 4 quizzes, and a final. The three papers are fairly simple especially since she will edit your rough draft for you. The quizzes were easy and she encourages students not to study for them if they have done the reading. The final was really easy as well.
SHE'S AN EXTREMELY HARSH GRADER, and I cannot stress this enough. She explains the elements that we need to prove but she also requires so much other excess information to be written. A positive is that her lectures leave you full of information. A suggestion I would make to her is to be more specific on what she asks of us on the case essays.
She's the absolute sweetest. She was still able to teach well even during the COVID period. Her lectures are super informative and can be a bit quick at times, but she's very accessible outside of class and is always willing to help answer questions. Solid choice for LAW1101! I loved her :)
This is a hard class but the professor Watnick makes it bearable. At first you may be afraid of her but she is actually extremely caring. She teaches the subject in detail and gives examples and tests based on the final. Definitely go to tutoring sessions and you will get a good grade. You just have to work for it
Professor Watnick is an amazing teacher. The beginning may be scary since you enter the class knowing very little about law, but you end up leaving with lots of information. The best advice is to take really detailed notes and make sure to refer back to the textbook. Don't be afraid to ask questions if you're confused, she likes participation.
I went into this class not knowing anything about the law but I finished with so much more knowledge. I had her Spring 2020 and I'm coming back to write because she is just so amazing! She gives a lot of practice problems and makes sure all her students understand the concepts. Reading the textbook is definitely helpful! We had open book exams!
Great lecture but do not take her class online if you have online test anxiety.
Aweful
Requires you to be highly alert during class. If you don't like to be called on randomly don't take her class. If you have harder classes you have to focus on don't take this one with it because she requires a lot of attention. However, she does seem like a nice person and would send us scholarship and job opportunities.
This class is so worth it. Prof Watnick is a strict grader but she pushes you to be better. I felt like my writing improved a lot after taking her. She genuinely cares about her students and is by far the best lecturer I've ever had. She is engaging and makes you want to learn. Even brought in some guest speakers for us. Readings are interesting!
Professor Watnick is one of the most memorable professors I had. At the start, I got frustrated with how tough she and the class were. However, after every assignment, I saw noticeable improvements in my writing and critical thinking skills. Her feedback was key, and the skills I learned from her have since helped me in many areas of my life.
Took her last spring and she was great, very knowledgable and provided a lot of examples in class for scenarios and terms. Allowed a cheat sheet for short-response exams that helped with the tougher concepts. Be ready to read and take good notes, especially of her in class examples because she will use some of the same scenarios on the exams.
Her class is insanely difficult but you learn so much in the short time you are in the class. She truly wants everyone to get a good grade and pass. Very passionate teacher. She makes the exams, so WRITE DOWN HER EXAMPLES, the only way you will get a solid grade.
Prof. Watnick is very knowledgeable, passionate, and accommodating to her students! The course itself is easy if you pay attention, participate, read the assigned work, and write notes. There is a lot of reading but it's a law class so it should be expected. Overall the class was really interesting and I left knowing way more about the environment!
Literally the greatest professor I have had in my entire college career. She cares for each individual student and even met with me 2 weeks after the semester had ended to discuss my grading and to give me insight for my future career. She is clearly knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the subject she teaches. She is also heavily respected.
She taught well and I learned a lot from her class. Law is a very detailed matter and she takes that very seriously. Even the smallest error in your writing will be penalized.
Professor Watnick is unforgettable. Her lectures are engaging, and she truly cares. Do the reading, take notes, and show up—this isn't a class you coast through. She's made a huge impact on me, and I'd take her again in a heartbeat. You won't regret having her! DO THE READING and PARTICIPATE. You will learn so much from the class and her!
This class is unnecessary difficult. You'll be writing papers & I tried my best and still kept getting bad grades. She seems to be biased. I wonder how she calls herself a Professor, she doesn't teach either law or how to write papers, but expect us to do good. Her rating on RMP seems artificial. She is the reason I hate law classes now.
Challenging but rewarding class with a great professor who truly cares about teaching environmental law. You'll engage with varieties of books, articles, papers, and even a podcast. Grading is based on 2 short comment papers, class participation, and a final exam or paper. To succeed, do the readings, attend class, participate, and take good notes.
Tough grader!!!
Difficult class, but very engaging. Watnick expects a lot from students and teaches general reading comprehension/writing as much as the law itself. Reading is CRUCIAL (2 full books+other articles), but as long as you put this work in you can do well. At least 2 papers and either a final paper or exam (I had exam). Participation was 15% of grade.
Was the class hard- Yes Did we have to read a lot - Yes If you pay attention, will you get good grades - Yes Did the class make me a well rounded person and good writer - Yes Was I stressed because of this class - Yes DID I LEARN ALOT AND WANT TO TAKE IT AGAIN - YES!
