She's nice and helpful, good professor. About half of the test Q's are multiple choice. When hw is due we ask questions before we turn it in, etc.
Here is the deal with this teacher...Attend her class...TURN OFF YOUR CELL PHONE one of her pet peeves she will take off points off your test..She is kind though giving you mulitiple choice questions She doesnt give a review for your tests but gives a final review which is helpful

Doesn't review for test very well, test aren't over the material you are told to study, not very good at teaching you especially if you don't understand math very easily.
This lady actually tried to tell me that the reason I wasn't understanding what she was trying to explain was because I was sitting in the back of the class. I was unaware that my understanding of the subject had anything to do with my location in the classroom.
Good professor. Willing to help if needed. Study hard for tests because she does not give a review.
This teacher sucks!! She is unhelpful and unorganized! Would not recommend.
Pay attention to the frowny faces. She is bad. Doesn't communicate. Expects you do get the material when she stumbles around the explanations herself. Knowing the material and teaching it are 2 completely different things.
What a ridiculous waste of students time when a teacher comes to class unprepared. She knows the material but absolutely cannot teach. More proof that some people shouldn't teach even if they know their stuff.
Did not go over sufficient amount of problems in class. So it made homework extra difficult having no examples to refer back to.
This teacher is not interesting, not organized, and obviously doesn't care about teaching. She became frustrated when I asked her questions which made me reluctant to participate. I feel cheated after taking this and feel I have wasted my money and time.
Valeri Bond is a piece of work. She is possibly one of the worst professors I have ever had. She is disorganized and rude. Not to mention lazy, bad at explaining things and speaks in this unenthusiastic mono-tone way. I made sure to ask my classmates if they felt the same way about her (they do.) She doesn't seem to get the hints from her students
This teacher was extremely booorrinng and totally unhelpful. She doesn't know how to teach algebra so if you aren't good at it, don't take her as a teacher. Half of my class failed and the other half was in the tutoring lab at least twice a week. Tests are impossible and quizzes are not relevant to what she taught in class.
She's the worst teacher ever, bitter and worthless
She has you do 3 sections of hw & instead of taking it up, she gives you a FOUR question quiz!?So many were failing these quizes so once she had us turn in the hw.Even if you compeleted ALL hw she grades you off of the four she randomly picks. She's nice, but the class is hard, and is even harder with her grading.Even w/tutoring.
Funny and takes the stress out of math. I work my class schedule around her class....
i liked her a lot, shes really easy going. lets you text in class. doesnt give you a review for test, doesnt take up homework, but the test is out of the homework, therefore do it!!
She's a great teacher and you understand what she's doing right then and there, and then when you get to the test it's like HUH?!?! I feel like she teaches you informally and gives very formal tests. But her class was very enjoyable.
I am a straight A, Phi Theta Kappa student. I absolutely hated this class. I have never had problems in math before. The quizzes have very few questions and I failed almost all of them, even though I got most all of the answers correct. Completely bombed the first test. I was scared to ask her questions..she gave cold and rude answers.
Excellent prof. Very willing to work with you & doesn't believe there are any "stupid" questions. Strict & to the point, but do the homework you'll do well. Had review day before tests, but did not give review sheets. Tests are from homework! Quizzes were short & to the point, also mostly homework. Great professor! HIGHLY recommend!
Been out of school for 10+ years..hate math...but this class was great. She was hardly unorganized--very confident in her teaching and made learning it all over actually fun. No reviews, but it's not highschool...you have to crack the book open on your own. She was great, wish she taught the other math classes I need.
Dropped her the first week. She would write things on the board but would verbally explain something else? Talked very fast and not clear (maybe she is a nervous or hyper person) and didn't seem thrilled with people asking questions. Only worked book examples- no extra insight. It's a developmental math class, more tips or less confusing explanations would have been helpful.
I have been out of school for 15 years. I didn't need this class, but needed as a refresher. I love this teachers way of teaching. She is visual and does a lot of relating to help students understand. She does move fast, but if you don't get it, you can stop her with out being scorned and she will keep trying just for you.
Very willing and helpful during office hours. Very confusing during class. Not interested in your comments. HATES cell phones. Demands you be on time. Tries to be funny, comes across very demeaning, like you are stupid. Expects you to understand her math before you come to her class. Reviews are TERRIBLE, they don't help you on the test.
I had her for my business Calc class and all I can say about her is that she was amazing! She was the best math prof I've ever been with. We were all lucky with the class itself, because we were very interactive and she enjoyed that a lot. We found her to be entertaining, as well. She's not the typical stick in the mud math prof.
The first time i took MATD 0370 I failed the class because i didn't quite understand how the profesor tought but when i took Bond.she was a great deal..i passed almost all her test.shez a great profesor!!
You must have an interest to learn if taking this class. She is a great instructor, but tends to set the pace according to the students who are quicker at solving math problems, if and only if you do not speak up, so if you do not understand ask. She does have to do a lot of homework online and monitors it so beware of that when taking otherclasses
She is highly UNORGANIZED and the students pay the price. There is sufficient homework and quizzes, even with doing these I bomb her short tests; which compose the majority of one's grade. Her tests are unreflective of what she teaches in class, most of which is wasted by her talking.
Professor takes forever responding to emails. Also, on her second tetst she only puts half of the problems on there then puts the rest of the problems as extra credit online but even if you make 100% on the 50 problems of extra credit she only allows up to 5 points added. She also takes forever responding to emails and is rude.
Teaches easy examples in class, then when you try to do homework is very different and confusing. Takes forever to answer emails. Do Not Take this teacher. She is nice, BUT i don't think she really knows how to teach Statistics! I had a 4.0 until I took this teacher.
didnt grade any of our homework and didn't grade any of our tests, end of the semester is 2 days I have NO clue what kind of grade I'm getting Teaching an online course shouldnt be that hard You have to spend an extra 100$ for My math lab for 5% of your grade You have to do homework from the book AND on my math lab it takes forever and unnessessary
I don't suggest this professor to anyone, unless you are willing to spend more time going over the notes in the book many times. Her lectures are boring, she does not explain things clear and the examples she gives in class are way easier than the ones in test. She doesn't know how to explain the notes, she talks more about her personal life.
I would not recommend any one to take this teacher, she does not teach well, she is very unorganized. All of her test are confusing. I love Math and I have always had a A on all of my math classes, but this teacher made me not like math anymore and I withdrew from her class 8 weeks before the end of the semester. I went to class every day.
Took her for the 5-wk summer course and only made an A by the skin on my teeth. She gives baby-level examples in class and then the test is 5xs harder. I spent many hours in the learning lab even though I've never struggled with a math class before this one, and the tutors saved me. Don't take her if you need clear instruction.
DO NOT TAKE HER!!! I spent hours doing the homework and quizzes, when I got to the exams it was nothing like the homework and quizzes. She does not give reviews except for the final and it was NO HELP. What I know now is not because of her in anyway. I staying in class thinking I could pull it off with hard work but I doubt I will get above a C.
Had to drop her class because her direction was awful. She never explained things thoroughly and expected you to know how to do something the first time. Extremely fast in explaining things and acts like you are stupid if you do not understand something.
What really got me about this teacher is how nit picky she is. Shes teacher that wants you to read all the instructions carefully and keep them in mind when answering. On the first couple assignments I got a zero because of rules i missed in submitting the assignments. The extra credit on the first test was circle the first word. Shes rule oriented
She is very particular on the way things are done. If you deviate from her rules you will not do well in her class. Personally, I got a zero on the first couple assignments because of how they were submitted to her, and she didnt allow me to resubmit them. She didnt respond to emails promptly and often gave me incomplete answers to very specific?'s
Teaching styles vary among faculty. This professor does not hold your hand in this class, and she expects a quality understanding of the prerequisites' concepts. She will adjust her grading criteria if she notices that the class is struggling, but come prepared with external tools and study aids if you're not an algebratrigonometry ace
I've had her for 7 courses now over the course of a math minor. To be brief: She makes you work for your supper but by god do you know the material at the end. Tough Grader? Sort of. Will you hate math (frequently)? Yes. But when you show up in her class next semester ominously labeled "Advanced Mathematics" you know you'll be fine. She's the best
Has a ton of rules regarding the way things are submitted, deducts points for every day an assignment is late however, does not hold herself to higher standards. Test 2 was due before I rcvd my grade for Test 1. It is now day 12 that I am waiting for my grade for Test 3. Took class online - book is also online & HORRIBLE! Basically self taught.
Been out of high school 20 years. Took this class as part of my degree plan. Never was good in math and over the years those coming out of high school are more technical than I am. Your first day if you have never taken math with statistics, this class will be extremely hard. I'm hanging on since this is the last math I will need for my degree.
She's the worst teacher you could possibly have when it comes to taking an online college algebra class. Not everything is online. Of course you take an online course in expectations of that because maybe you work a lot or etc. , but no. You have to go to a acc campus to take your exams and on top on the hw you do online you have handwritten hw
This was the worst professor i ever had. She is very disorganized and her lessons are hard to follow. If you like to teach yourself then this is the class for you. Most students were going to You Tube to learn lessons. I'm a good note taker and it was nearly impossible to take notes. Don't waste your time.
lectures not understandable, reviews should be like tests, just different scenarios
Took her Distance Learning course due to the fact that I work 40+ hours a week, not only does she give a ridiculous amount of work each week, it's basically a self-taught course as she provides no help or explanations. She's not prompt at grading/replying to things nor is she helpful when you reach out for help. Worst professor I've ever had.
Worst professor I've ever had. The lectures are almost impossible to follow. There is a ton of work online for it being an in class course. Reviews are completely different then the tests. The course is only good if you like teaching yourself everything. She doesn't respond to emails in a timely matter. If you fall behind might as well drop.
the only reason I passed is because I used my AP stat notes from HIGHSCHOOL. Proves that she can't teach. She mumbles a lot and is all over the place. Worst teaching skills, she reads off from her notes and if you ask a questions she mostly doesnt know the answer. She doesn't even teach so If you miss a class it wouldnt make a difference.
Tests were nothing like the lectures, homework, or reviews - generally, much more difficult. There were two sets of homework, only one of which was ever graded. Took a month to give me a test back one time. Often rushes through lectures to avoid answering student questions. Real dreadful stuff overall.
Will not reply to your emails, and if she does it takes so long that you'll either have figured it out by yourself already or you'll miss the deadline. Not good at communicating, not very good at explaining what to do for the class. Good luck, you basically teach yourself.
Absolutely terrible, I missed an exam because at the time I was still in high school and couldn't skip school to take it and she wouldn't even let me retake. 5 exams, with the exams being 88% of your grade, a 0 for an exam and you practically cant pass. Does not work for you to learn.
This is the worse professor I have ever had. She cannot teach at all!! I am practically teaching my self! I do not recommend taking her class.
Horrible professor. She mumbles like crazy and you can barley hear her. She has a very strict no pictures of the board policy. She writes so much that by the end of the 2 hour class when I'm done writing I have no idea what I've just learned. DO NOT TAKE unless you want to teach yourself. I'd rate her 0 but the site makes you put a put at leasta 1.
Horrible. Tries to act cute while rambling and teaches at a mind-numbingly slow pace, or skips steps without telling you what she just did. Very poor at informing students when things are due, so very disorganized.
Pretty sarcastic. Great side stories, but always to the point and finished day's objectives. Everything from integration to series, so be flexible with subjects jumping around. Valleri has a ready wit and thoughtful answers. Have your homework and questions ready at the beginning of each class. Progressively tougher, so around sequences buckle up!
AVOID. This teacher does not understand the material. She is extremely disorganized, she copies the answers to all examples from notes and cannot explain how to get the answer. She skipped more then half the material we were supposed to cover in class. She didn't show us our grades, nothing ever gets grade and returned. WORST TEACHER EVER.
She is really nice but it takes her forever to grade anything and she goes so quickly through lectures that is hard to keep up. She gave us one day to go through an entire unit (6.1-6.8) and then we had a test over it the next class. You have to teach yourself.
Valleri in Calculus II at ACC has been a fantastic Prof. She wants you to understand the material. Curves are good. Funny Tangents and just a tad dis-organized.
AVOID!!!!! I could never understand her. Her notes never made sense and the test never correlated with the notes. Stuff that we never learned appeared on the test which made it extremely hard to get a good grade on the test. Never available, hardily ever responds to emails, and returns test back late.
This course is difficult if you struggle with math. But professor Bond really encouraged us to ask questions and made sure to help whoever needed help. She was even willing to meet with me outside of class for extra tutoring and it helped tremendously. You can tell she cares about her students grades and she also has a great sense of humor!
Easy A. Super approachable professor. Just ask what she knows that you dont, thats how learning works. She tests over material thats been covered. If not, you didnt study. Test Reviews are not your Tests, folks. Calm down, your grades will show up eventually. DLearning is self-teaching, duh. She cant do everything for you. Grow the hell up.
She is hard to understand, tests are different from reviews, weird rules.
This is instructor does not grade your homework and give you feedback in a timely matter in order for you to know what you are doing wrong prior to testing. Syllabus needed multiple corrections, online links were not set up prior for an online class, and over all she seemed not prepared for her own course. Little to no feedback was given ever.
She is the best math professor! Communicative about the processes of problems, receptive to your questions, very accessible outside of class & via email. She meets the student half-way and really provides resources to make it possible to be prepared for your exams! She's very sweet and funny, making math way more enjoyable.
Avoid her at all costs. All I can say is good luck if you take her and expect to be taught anything. She is inaccessible and does not respond quickly if at all to emails. She expects you to self learn or work in groups and does not explain clearly. She was preoccupied all the time and late to class much of the time. I had to drop last part of class
By far the worst Professor I've had for math. Exams count for most of your grade, but she gave them back so late that there was no time to get help if you failed. Did not respond to any email I sent asking for help, nor was available during office hours. Often skipped steps when working problems, and skipped adding points on tests. Avoid!
Avoid Professor Bond at ALL costs. Seriously, I've never had a worse academic experience in my life. She responds to about 10% of the emails you send her, and in a COVID world where email communication is vital, she is non-existent. My anxiety levels reached new peaks. Not accessible outside of class which will make your life miserable.
5 exams and the last one she lets you replace with your lowest test grade. grades super slow and gives no good feedback. tons of homework. didn't read the online hw but watched the student interactive videos each lesson. we didn't even get a review for the final or test before that. Discussion board once a week and YOU TEACH YOURSELF.
Prof Bond doesnt respond to your emails quickly and most of us struggled to do well in the class. She puts off upgrading grades and assignments, which messed us up when the optional exam came around. All that being said, she is also very kind and will often meet you in the middle for grades and assignments if politely asked.
This prof is really nice. Like everyone else said, shes inaccessible outside of class, so make sure to ask important questions during class. She gave us extra credit and good curves on tests.
I definitely wouldn't have passed without my mathematics-major roommate to help. 3rd-party website to do homework on is confusing and hard to navigate. Can't look at textbook and do hw at the same time. She'd often forget to post quizzes and give us 100s on them as an apology. Tests were much easier than the homework though.
So, she never actually gave us our final exam results. She said she had them marked, but she never uploaded them. I could list off other grievances against this teacher, but I think failing to upload the results to the final says it all. She is really friendly, but has a tendency to talk instead of actually teach.
She's very nice, but as someone who struggles with math, she was not professor for me :/ Her grading policy makes it difficult for redemption if you fail an exam. She goes super fast & it's tiring telling her to give us a minute to write the notes every time.
I took professor Bond for a summer statistics class. Math has never been my forte and this was an asynchronous class. I am specifically writing this because even though her lectures were thorough and clear, she made an impact by being incredibly kind and understanding for something I was really not anticipating. Faith rEstored in humanity.
Awful Awful Awful!!! Who "read" for Math class. I don't understand how she still has a job... Avoid at all cost!!
Professor Bond gets a bad wrap. If you connect with her and work hard in the class there is no reason you should fail. She puts in the effort and if she makes a mistake she makes it up to you later. Ignore the bad reviews and give her a try with an open mind.
Takes forever to grade anything, up to a month for exam results. Very disorganized, it's clear she did not write the class or review it before just posting it up on Blackboard. Have had to email multiple times for clarification. The exam review had content on it that was not covered in the assigned chapters. You teach yourself from the textbook.
I swear to God, she is my worst professor ever.
She makes math so harder. She is the worst. THE WORSTTTTTTT.
Never answers emails. Teaches 2-4 units each class and goes way too fast. Lots... of homework.
TAKES MONTHS TO GRADE EXAMS! She does not teach, just tells you what chapters to read. Online HW is ok. She does not actually grade the written HW and provides no useful feedback. Exams are confusing but not too hard. Overall not a good professor.
Professor Bond is an extremely sweet lady, but I would not take her again. She goes super fast during her lectures and doesn't explain well. She goes over 2-3 sections every lecture. She teaches like it's an eight-week course, and doesn't communicate at all. I feel like I would've made an A if she taught normal pace and explained more thoroughly.
I like her as a person, but she's really hard to contact and moves extremely fast. If you end up being able to meet with her, she'll try her best to help with any concerns you have.
Took her for business calc was a total disaster I spent 12 hours a week studying just to end having the test be 10x harder. Always gives easy questions in class and hard ones on test she also has a terrible habit of doing problems wrong and needing to be called out. Could not stress enough do not take. Will be no help what so ever!
Hi reader. I took Calc 2 for credit (I already studied most of the stuff but didn't have credit for it), but it went kinda terribly for me. Written HW takes SO long to grade (maybe ~1 month). About exams, she has a habit of not grading stuff correctly. I had to call her out like 3 to 4 times to fix it. The exams also take a while to grade.
