Her accent is really hard to decipher. Very condescending to students, unless you're a suck-up. Answers questions with more questions; makes you feel stupid if you don't understand something. Does not grade & return stuff in a timely manner. Her quizzes are ridiculously hard. She can be funny at times, but as a teacher, she really is not great.

Gives weekly quiz and homework. But you won't give them back until the week of the test. She barely covers material she actually quizzes you on. Constantly changing her mind about assignment due dates and syllabus changes at the end of the semester. Missed some assignments because she changed her mind so many times and expectations weren't clear.

As a lecturer was good, passionate and good at what she does although her accent can be difficult to understand. Exams and quizzes extremely are hard, they are both only a few questions long but worth tons of points and does not give partial credit. Does not update grades or pass back examsquizzesassignments on time. Avoid if possible.

I would rather teach myself than ever have to even communicate with Vania again. Unfortunately as students we find ourselves doing everything to attain success and have a good future, but classes like this and people like Vania stand in the way. Ultimately the reason I will not succeed.

Dr. DePaul was not a good lecture person because she did not seem to know what she was talking about. She has no control of her class! She is under the control of the board of directors, and when I communicate with them, I find that she is to be in charge. Regrettably, she is incapable of making decisions that help students.

Vania is a member of the Chemical Department of CSU. This department lacks ethics of a normal institution. There is ideally reasoning, flexibility, and understanding with a business. The Chemical Department of CSU, led by Vania, does not show any of this. She is not fit to be a person in charge of such a pointless Department!

Dr. D is literally the best professor I have ever had. Ignore all these awful ratings about her. I promise you if you work hard, pay attention, arrive at class, and do lots of practice, this class is an easy A. Dr. D is so passionate about her job and will do anything to help her students. She is willing to even stay later during office hours.

Honestly, she was a tough professor. She makes sure you understand ochem and chemistry in general. Her class is DEFINITELY worth to take especially if you want to take the MCAT. She is very personable and will make sure you succeed. She was my favorite professor to take at CSU. Make sure you take the time to study. You will need it.

She's a great teacher and her tests were very fair. Ochem isn't an easy class but it's also not impossible. Her tests and quizzes came from the lectures and the lectures are all you need to be able to practice concepts. Practice and review as much as you can and you will be fine. She gives extra credit if you need to make up a bad test day.

I do not recommend taking this course in the summer. Dr. DePaoli is confusing, she jumps around in the text book, she doesn't follow her own syllabus. I am preparing for the MCAT now and I feel this time was wasted. I will need to re-learn all this material on my own.

Dr. De Paoli does a fantastic job presenting complicated topics. Organic Chemistry 2 is probably one of the hardest courses you can take as an undergrad, and I could easily imagine a lesser professor making it impossible. One of CSU's best professors, if you need OCHEM2 I recommend taking it with her.

She cares SO much about her students and is very fair. She provides practice exercises which really help. Downside is there are very few points in the class so not much room to mess up. She doesn't curve but does offer occasional extra credit points. Honestly orgo isnt easy, you have to be willing to put in the extra work outside of lecture.

The OCHM series is brutal. Friends who had 3.8 GPAs got C averages. The homework often times is just busy work and doesn't assist with learning material. Mechanisms briefly covered must be understood in depth. I would spend days studying for Ds. Find friends, go to tutoring, and find some luck along the way.

Dr. De Paoli is a nice professor, but that does not mean the class is easy. The concepts that she teaches MUST be understood very well for the exams that she gives out because the PowerPoint slides only scratch the surface. Practice as much as you can out of class. Her teaching style reminds me of Dr. O'Connor's (Underlining, Highlighting).

Professor De Paoli is nice but I'm not a fan of her teaching methodology and the way she did quizzes/exams. She only goes through concepts superficially in class and utilizes Respondus with camera on which I hate. The homework she assigns on ALEKS does not always correlate with the teaching material, making you question why do I need to do this?
