Law&Econ - his lectures are fairly well organized with pdf slides. Sometimes hard to understand what he is saying. Textbook used by Friedman SUCKED, repetitive, long and confusing explanation of the concepts. Assignments were 'thinking-type' of question. Midterms were fair and final he marked easy. This prof is the worst as he doesnt give out any clear information, neither does he explain important concepts. He expects you already know everything, get ready to study on your own. Best to avoid this prof.

By far the worst professor I have ever encountered. Avoid at all costs. I would give him a zero if I could. How this man has a job at a university is beyond me.

Maybe he has the knowledge but he is definitely not qualified for teaching. The worst prof ever in the history. He will not respond to emails of all kinds. He seems nice and easy going but don't let that fool you. He only cares about his soccer games.

Professor Vasyl or Basyl was the worst prof I've had at SFU. He is an irresponsible professor who gives a rats ass about the students. Clearly he is busy with other priorities and doesn't seem like he is interested in being a professor. He is supper unaccessible to the students, will not reply emails! He does not communicate well about anything.

Although exams are not difficult compared with other courses, the professor is disorganized and does not communicate with students very well. For example, he did not upload assignments and quizzes until the due date, and he makes many mistakes during lectures. I even found mistakes on the answer key of assignments but no announcement. horribleprof

Dont take any class with this professor. Never replys to emails, late or forgets to post assignments and quiz, office hours are very inconvenient, no powerpoint and notes, doesnt take students seriously, and makes difficult tests to lower grade.

Honestly, avoid. Vasyl did not respond to emails. Teaching quality is okay but has no notes and is disorganized. Obviously did not want to teach/care about student concerns. Would have given 1.5/5 if it was an option.

He was the worst professor I have ever studied before. He's tough in grading. There were no activities during online class and no sense of motivation while you were studying. some professors motivate you to pass the course or involve you in some kind of activities regarding the course but he doesn't do anything like this.

Does not provide any kind of notes, I would never take his classes ever again. His classes were confusing and basically told you to learn from a textbook, doesn't provide actual help for getting through this course.

Basil at first was really hard to understand and since I was a first year student, his lecture style intimidated me at first. After taking the first midterm however, his class became a lot easier since his tests are straight forward and relate to the material from the practice exams. TAs honestly make or break this class, get ready to read a lot.

This class felt like it was made in the 50s before professors had access to technology. The lack of actual teaching in this course is baffling. The standard of teaching in this course would be too low for Somalia. The fact that SFU is contempt with this level of teaching shows why they're in a financial crisis. Nice guy though

This guy is soooo old school. His lectures are done with a projector using a piece of paper and a pen. None of his notes make sense and you can barely understand what he says with his accent. Dont bother going to lectures. He doesnt post anything from lectures but you can learn everything from the textbook. Its a big snooze fest.

Basil seems like a cool guy but his lectures are hard to follow. If you intend on showing up to class sit close because he doesnt even speaks into his microphone. The textbook is very good and will be your best friend. TA is also very helpful but attendance was not mandatory. Exam included questions that were on none of the practice material or hw.
