Stephenson is the most hilarious man alive. You can't help but love him and love his classes. His wit and humor is unmatched by any other faculty on campus. You can't help but love his classes because they are so entertaining.

This class was really good! He loves teaching and is good at it. He makes the subject really enjoyable. You HAVE to do the homework assignments because the quizzes will kill you if not. He has a great personality and teaches the subject well. It's kind of challenging; just study for the tests and you're good!

Vaughn is the man! Im actually offended and shocked when people say he doesnt care about his students. It is quite the opposite. He is very smart, and hilarious. He loves to have fun in his classroom. You will learn alot. He will help you if you show him you wont take his class for granted.

Vaughn is THE MAN!!! I went on the European hum. tour with him and he was great! He's a sweet, eccentric guy with a very unique sense of humor. Our class was taught for two weeks before we left on the tour in order to prepare us for the works we would see. When I got home from the trip I had a lot of homework but I got it all done fortunately!

The only reason I did not do good in this class is because I sat next to my boyfriend who talked to me the whole hour. Brother Stephenson is so nice! He is hilarious to. I am positive that there was not a day I didn't laugh in his class. Very nice guy and head of the history dept. Take him!

The class was very easy. He gives quizes in class that are worth a large portion of your grade. Much of the material on the exams is not in the reading materials and is only given in class. Be sure to take lots of notes. I got an A in the class and studied about 4 hours a week.

Very entertaining and fun classes. The quizzes and homework are not hard if you do the reading which varies throughout the semester on the amount that you read. The Tests are pretty hard. Everything is weighted so a missed quiz is like 10 pts. off of a test. There are about 700 points per semester.

The most important thing about his class is that it's not just a normal history class where you have to memorize useless facts. He makes you think about life and about politics and history. He really cares about you learning the main points and the big themes.

Everyday there is a quiz on the reading (pretty much ur whole grade) and I could never do well on those. If you're horrible at quizzes/test, you're going to have to work harder for a good grade.

I really enjoyed his lectures. I only had problems with ever getting an A on the tests. There is not a study guide so you never know what will be on the test out of everything he says. So, though enjoyable it's considerably hard to get an A in the class. Do NOT miss class.

Br. Stephenson knows his stuff. His class is hard until you figure out how to study. Anything he writes on the board will be on the exam. He will tell you exactly what will be on the exams if you ask and he will tell you the answers. He grades exams on a curve which will always boost your grades. NEVER miss class or you are missing exam info!

Brother Vaughn was my comedic relief in college, it was so much fun to listen to him rant on about the arts in correlation to the gospel in his class. He was hillarious, and I loved being around someone who was so happy.

Awesome teacher! Sometimes makes cheesy jokes, but still entertaining. Some say he's uncaring, but he's really a teddy bear. If you put in the effort and follow instructions it's not a hard class. If you have questions or trouble, talk to him about it directly and tell him specifically what you are struggling with. Don't expect him to coddle you.

Brother Stephenson is amazing. When I first started I realized it's basically an art appreciation call, so I almost dropped, but I'm glad I didn't. Brother Stephenson is a gifted teacher and requires an average workload. My roommate and I always looked forward to his lectures and talked about them frequently, and that almost never happens.

This is largely a discussion based class and he keeps it fun & interesting. You will have to do some reading, as with any upper course Humanities class, but his assignments are usually not too difficult and he's flexible with assignments and grading if there are ever any misunderstandings. I got a lot from his class w/out ever feeling overwhelmed.

He was very good at teaching clearly, his lectures always had nuggets of useful information. The down side is sometimes I felt his lectures didn't really discuss what was on the tests. Also he gave no leniency if you had something come up that prevented you from doing the homework, even if you talked to him about it in advance.

Let me start off by saying that I never liked any humanities course I have ever taken, until I took this one. Professor Stephenson not only taught the material, he helped me to get exited about it. His assignments are all geared towards exposure, as well as understanding. You will not regret taking a class from him.

I have learned so much from taking his class. All of his assignments were logical and impactful. He knows so much and doesn't teach from slide to slide but instead really explains to the class.

Makes learning fun

I had Brother Stephenson for French 1 at 7:45am. His enthusiasm and caring attitude made me want to be in class.

Humanities 202 is set out to be an interesting an enjoyable class but Stephenson made it even more enjoyable because of the energy he brought. He gives enjoyable lectures, and it is easy to tell that he enjoys what he teaches. Study for the tests and you should be fine.

I went into this class dreading it because I hated art. At the start, I decided to give Brother Stephenson a shot and do my best. I actually loved it and have used the knowledge when traveling and in social circles. He is full of dad jokes and is pretty funny. Just do your homework and practice for each quiz and you will be fine.

Lots of humor, and you can tell he is very educated and knows a lot about a lot. Classes are a blast and very engaging. The lecture is never boring, and he does a great job of relating things to real world applications. Honestly, if you just show up and pay attention, the grade will take care of itself. Nothing is too insanely hard.

Took beginning French with him in the fall and loved his class. Language classes are difficult, but he loves and cares about those who try. I was able to develop a great relationship by speaking with him outside of class time. I personally did not find learning French easy, but I did have a great teacher for the class. He LOVES to sing.

Very inspiring and engaging lectures. Learned so much & he made it very fun! The course was in the process of being redesigned, so it was a bit bumpy with the assignment due dates and descriptions, but the overall lectures were amazing. Not many assignments. The exams weren't too bad, a total of 4 including the final.

He was awesome and hilarious and I always loved his lectures. He's really easy on grading, so long as you turn something in. Also, everything in the exams is something that was talked about in class, but not necessarily on a PowerPoint or anything, so make sure to take really good notes and pay attention in class and you'll pass!

Brother Stephenson's HUM110 class is a blast! Though the tests can be tricky, his lectures are engaging and he genuinely cares about the subject. Unstuck study was a lifesaver for exam prep.

I am not very interested in the humanities, but it was obvious how passionate Brother Stephenson was about the class. He is very funny and super chill. He didn't seem to be too difficult of a grader. I didn't love the class simply because of personal interests, but I think he was probably the best professor I could have had for it.
