Dr. Mirmovitch is passionate about Biology, this passion is infectious! She makes biology very fun. Her classes are interesting and well prepared. She relates the topics to everyday life, in a way that is easy to understand. Her class is challenging, but well worth it! She is one of the best professors that I have ever had!

Dr. Mirmovitch is a really great professor. All of the information she gives you is clear, thorough, and understandable. She puts the information in a much simpler form and is very good at explaining and answering questions. Her slides are based off of the book. I recommend her as a professor for the Biology LECTURE she is AMAZING.

I took Dr. Mirmovitch for Bio3A & 3B over the summer. It was a VERY fast-paced course! If you take it over the summer be prepared to completely dedicate yourself for 6 wks. She really cares about her students learning and will work with you in office hours, if you need to take a test late, etc. Gave extra credit for final and bonus Qs on tests.

Professor Mirmotvitch is the BEST!!! She showed her true passion for Biology and teaching. I took this class over summer and wished I hadn't because I wished I had more time with Professor Mirnotvitch. She opens your eyes to the world and how you can become an active participant in preserving your planet. Her teaching style is extraordinary!!!

Very nice professor and she seems genuine but PLEASE take someone else. She admitted that this is her first anatomy class and it shows. Lecture is everywhere and contain way more information than the book has. She doesn't allow a lot of lab time so most of my class failed the first exam. Bottom line, DO NOT TAKE HER FOR ANATOMY!!!

Great teacher! The lecture exams are not easy and will require a lot of time, but the lab portion is pretty straight forward. She's willing to help and take the time to go over any questions after class.

An amazing professor! She truly cares for the students which is a quality that I wish a lot of teachers should have. This class is indeed a difficult class regardless of who you take it with because of the material itself so be prepare to work for your grade! Take advantage of study groups as well since they really do help in learning the material.

Very sweet lady who wants you to pass. Easy to talk to. Happily answers questions the best she can. Tests are killer, so study at least 3 times a week for high scores. If I could pass with a B while dealing other life challenges, anyone can. Be prepared to read a lot on your own. Lectures available online! (also, download test bank and study it!!!)

Take her for anatomy 1. She's an amazing professor. She gave a lot of extra credit as pop quiz and on the exam. She's willing to help students who are struggling in the class. Lecture are long, but she always try to make it easy for you to understand. Test (MC question) aren't hard & straight forward as long as you spend time to read the slides.

Great Bio teacher

Class met once a week every Wed., sat doe 3 hours. So long lectures are involved. All you need to know is in the book and modules. Testing it's hard to have an opinion on due to the fact it was her 1st time teaching environmental science.

Dr. Mirmovitch is more helpful than most professors. She genuinely wants you to do well in her class as well as in your college career in general. Ask for help when you need it and she will happily respond. Show up to class on time and engage with her lectures and you will find it hard to get a bad grade!

Took her for environmental science 1 and offered good extra credit opportunities that I fully took advantage of and well worth it because it pushed me over the top to get an A even though I thought a B was reaching high. Tests are really based on combo of lecture and assigned readings. Taking her again for Bio 3A! Awesome professor!

Dr. Mirmovitch made it evident she cares for her students, she even remembered everyone's name by the second week of class! She wants students to succeed- so early in the semester study the handouts and slides she focuses on to get all the extra credit points available! Those come in handy as the material becomes more challenging.

I was dreading having to take a science class but Professor Mirmovitch made it enjoyable for me. At first she was difficult to understand but if you sit in front and pay close attention, she explains things very well. She's very dedicated to her students & will spend hours helping one student alone. I plan on taking Bio 10 with her in the fall! :)

Dr. Mirmovitch is a sweet woman. She can sometimes be disorganized, but that's because there's so much to teach. She gives tons of chances for extra credit and is always open for questions, even for HOURS after class. She's very knowledgeable but knows how to teach those who don't understand. The powerpoints help, but def. read the book. Love her!

Excellent teacher! Inspiring, passionate and aware. She is no push over but she definitely rewards and encourages those who try. She does not tolerate nonsense however so don't try it! Read chapter before class, take notes, and study and you will do well.

Professor Mirmovitch is challenging but fair. She expects you to learn (no easy way out) but she really wants all her students to be successful and is always available to help students outside of class if you need it. She also gives some extra credit. She knows her stuff, has clear expectations, and is well-organized and thorough.

Mirmovitch is amazing. If you are looking for an easy A, she is not the one. You will have to put in a lot of work to get an A, but she teaches you how to actually be a successful student in terms of studying and your study habits. I would recommend joining a study group during the first week! Her exams are difficult, but fair.

This is not an easy class, but around 10 % of the class ended with A because Dr Mirmovitech gives extra credit in the end of every exam, and helps students that show hard work and commitment. Some questions in the exam are hard. She is nice and helpful but her exams are not easy at all. not an easy A class at all.

In this class, you need to work for your grade. so be organized, read the slides before coming to class, write your notes using your own words, and do the online tests to prepare for the exam. You need to understand and to memorize. Do yourself a favor and participate in the SI leader study session, you are going to receive extra credit for that ;P

Attend class and take notes. She doesn't give homework just expects you to study but gives you good lecture and explanations. She is very passionate and takes pride in her subject, students, and the school.

not an easy A, however, she does offer a lot of extra credit on exams and field trips. Need to work for the points though. If she sees you care and are trying she takes that into account. Read the textbook and do lots of online practice exams and you should get at least a B.

Professor Vered Mirmovitch, is a professor you want to take if you really want to understand what you're learning. She explains lectures in great detail and is available for students before and after class. She is passionate about the material she teaches you. Not an easy class, but if you put it in the work, study, and use slides you will pass.

P. Mirmovich is one of the kindest professors Ive ever had. Her lectures are very long and detailed which means her exam questions are specific and not easy to guess if you truly did not study. That being said, there is so much extra credit available in her class to help out if you didnt do the best. Study her slides, read, and do the E.C.

If you are hardworking, productive and motivated student. you will love her class, she is a good professor. she will help you to understand the subject well & answer clearly to students questions. I took her class on winter 2019, it was interesting and fun class however it's a very fast class, so beware. you guys have to put effort in this class.

I took Bio 003 Lec. & Lab during winter 2019 with professor Mirmovitch and learned so much from her. She is FULL of knowledge, she cares, she's accessible outside of class and gives a good amount of x-credit opportunities to boost up your grade. It was tough but as long as you're committed you should be fine. MUST study! She's amazing!

I took Bio 3AB over the winter. Professor Mirmovitch is extremely kind and BEST Bio professor. I RECOMMEND YOU ALL TO TAKE HER CLASS. You have to work hard and study everyday. DO EXTRA CREDIT. Read the textbook, slides, and go over lab. Everyday you need to study. Do practice Exams. AFTER THIS CLASS YOU WILL HAVE GOOD STUDYING HABITS AND SKILLS.

Dr Mirmovitch is an amazing and caring professor. I took her spring 2019 class and got an A. She loves what she teaches and she gives everyone comprehensive study guides for exams. If you do the study guides and take the time to review them youll pass the class. She also gives extra credit assignments and extra credit questions on the exams. The

She's very passionate about the subject and it shows through her teaching! I took bio 7 with her but do not expect an easy A. Her exams are long but she understands no one will get 100% so she offers extra credit through field trips and essays. If you show her you care and put in the work there is no reason not to get a good grade

I took her bio 3 class in the Spring and I had never taken a science class before. I wasn't doing so good at first but she was really there for me. The study guides and the links she gives you through canvas really helped. I started off with a C in her class and ended the class with an A with her help. If you slack off in her class, you won't pass.

Professor Mirmovitch is a true gem. She is very knowledgable and teaches with enthusiasm which is nice in a 3 hour BIO lecture and lab. Please preview chapters, study at home, and use her study guides and powerpoints. The class can be challenging if you don't keep up but she cares about her students and gives many EC opportunities.

A real gem! Honestly, she is the best professor I have ever had. She tries her best to be helpful to the students,VERY approachable,would spent as much time with students, as needed. I took Professor Mirmovitch twice. Once in Fall 2019 (failed due to not showing up!). I met with her to see if I had any options and she recommended me to take her class in Winter 2020. BEST DECISION EVER. Get a study group and go to class on time. Heavy lectures and you must have all the materials! She is really sweet and never gave up on me.

I just finished taking her online summer class yesterday. Lectures took place on Zoom and I stopped going after the first week. Instead, I just studied the lecture and lab powerpoints she gave us. She also gave us practice quizzes that helped with the lab exam. Lecture exams were hard, but there was so much extra credit in her class.

I just took this class and I loved it. Lectures did take a super long time, but I felt like Vered also tried to talk about life skills and important things to do in order to succeed in her class. There was a textbook, but I would advise against buying it. She provides slideshows and they were the only thing I read prior to taking the examination

I just needed to pass this class and I did! I wish I had done more studying so my grade would have been higher but I was taking another class and had a full time job. Definitely a challenging class, the questions really make you think. You really have to know what is going on. Luckily the tests are curved or most the class would have failed.

Dr. Vered is hands down the best teacher in the WLAC Biology department. My pro tip for doing good in the class is to do all the extra credit. They are all easy and fun. My average grade for the lab and lecture exams was a B- and the extra credit assignments boosted my grade to a solid A. If you study hard and do the extra credit, an A is easy.

I loved taking her. Took her in the Spring when we transitioned to online classes. It was a tough transition but she made it really easy for us by giving us so many chances to receive a good grade. She is super caring and wants you to understand the concepts. She doesn't just copy and paste from quizlet, so listen to her lectures and take notes!

This class seemed very hard in the beginning of the semester, but it got much easier as we went on. There were so many extra credit opportunities in this class! They include filling out the lab notebook, watching biology related documentaries plus filling out a worksheet, and bonus points on tests.

Took her online zoom classes cuz of covid. Zoom calls were used as review for notes since you're supposed to study before the call. Labs are somewhat easy and she provided most data for it (can't collect some data for ourselves since we're not in class). Offers a lot of extra credit but they take some time to complete. Never used textbook.

Even though I only took Vereds Biology 7 class online, she is still my favorite biology teacher (maybe even science teacher) that I have ever had. She prepares students very well for her tests with practice quizzes that ask almost the same questions. She also gives us access to her PowerPoints. The tests are all multiple choice.

Professor Mirmovitch was one of the greatest professors Ive ever had. She was very kind and offered a lot of EC. We took 5 exams including the final. It was 5 lecture exams and 5 lab exams. All lab exams were straight forwards and were similar to her practice quizzes. The tests were straight forward but the lec final was a little hard. Easy class

Prof. Mirmovitch is very Knowledgeable in her subject, and the best of all, if you are working for your grade, she will work you to success in her Class, very good at answering emails if you have questions. It's not an easy class if you want to learn, please dedicate the time to study (No pain, no gain). I took her for winter 2022. Recommended.

It was a lot of work! I took her class during winter for 5 weeks it was daily labs/quizzes and exams every week. If you do all the work and put in effort to study you can get a good grade. She's a very caring professor and responds to emails quickly.

I took bio 7 in summer of 2020, but in middle of the semester I had to drop the class due to the family emergency. I notified her and she was very understanding . I retake the class in Fall 2020 and got an A. Its a challenging topic, but she is always there to answer any question you have, extremely caring and whats u to really learn the subject.

Lab manuals are not online-friendly, however, if you watch the recorded lectures, you should do great on the exams. Exams are lengthy and closed notes. You need to study or you won't do well in the class. Not easy but I learned a lot.

She's such a wonderful teacher and is willing to help any student out. She cares for her students and wants us to succeed and be able to pass the class. You have to want to put in the effort to pass her class by reading the chapters and doing a lot of studying. Exams are very difficult.

One of the best professors I've had at west la. She genuinely cares about the success of her students and will go out of her way to help them succeed. But she puts in a lot of effort and expects the same effort back! So expect to work if you want an A

Dr. Mirmovitch did not come to play. I took her 5 week class and it was intense, but she was ALWAYS willing to answer questions. Everything in the exams comes from the lectures and labs so take good notes and be ready to learn. She has a lot of knowledge to pass on and is enthusiastic about teaching, but you have to be willing to put in the work.

Professor Mirmovitch is wonderful and genuinely cares about the success of every student. The course is rigorous (as it should be), but there are numerous opportunities for extra credit. Those who may struggle in one aspect of the course have ample opportunity to demonstrate their competency in other areas. The most impactful professor I have had.

Hardest class I've taken, but most caring professor I've ever had. She goes above and beyond with office hours. I started off the semester getting high D's on tests, and ended with A's and B's. Lots of work, but she helps you so much if you're willing to put in the time and effort. Truly has made me a better student!

Dr. Vered is one of the best professors I've had at West LA. She truly cares for her students and will work with you to obtain the grade you are aiming for. It is a heavily loaded class (as any STEM class is) but just put in the work and ask questions, she is always happy to help. Take her if you truly want to learn and become a better student!

I *love* Prof. Mirmovitch. She's challenging but wants everyone to learn and provides ample opportunity to do so with extra online content and assorted extra credit to maintain a good grade.
