She's challenging, and knowledgable. Everyone should take her at least once to know what a really good teacher is.

Whitley knows her stuff. Yes it can be hard, but it is eng. 102 not 100. She will help you out when every you need it. I am learning a lot and that is what it is all about.

She knows what she is talking about and is very willing to help you if you are having difficulties with something. She gives a lot of examples of everything she goes over to make sure you understand.

Very hard. Grades students papers on her education level, not a college level. It is kind of funny how only half of the students attend her class anymore.

Ms. Whitley is the greatest English teacher BHC has!! She proof-read EVERY paper I wrote and went out of her way to be helpful! She wants her students to do well, and if you put in the effort, you will be rewarded. It's like anything - you get out what you put in!! Stop your whinning!

She is a great teacher in everyway. Take her if you want to learn to write the correct way. Just be sure to have a good dictionary. She loves students that know how to use big words.

If that smiley face is not a frown, don't get me wrong. She was easy to understand, not that hard and quite helpful. I'm a good writer, but she didn't agree with my topics, so I got a C in her class. She teaches grammer and writing at a level I learned in middle school. She bored me to tears!

Great teacher. She proof reads everything for you and tells you what she wants. Her tests are hard but the rest of the class is easy and her jokes are funny. FYI.... she loves baseball.

I think she was a wonderful teacher. Yeah, she is very hard but she taught me alot. You won't be able to slack off in her class, but if your willing to do well in her class you will.

I've really enjoyed her class. The reason a majority of people on here that complain about Mrs. Whitley is because they lack commitment and can't get over their huge ego. The class is tough but if one is willing to work hard, they'll get the grade they want

Is a hard class, but does teach you how to write and I would take her again for 102.

If you make the effort she is a great teacher! She will actually teach you how to write. Comes off a little harsh at times, but only wants the best. She will proofread any of your papers and it will make a huge difference whenit comes to the final grade! I reccommend you take advantage of all she has to offer!!

This is easily the best and easiest teacher you can have. Most of the people who fail her class are slackers who got by with too much in High School. She tells you exactly what she wants and even at times gives you template papers to base a paper on. There is no reason why you should fail her class unless you do not put in the effort.

She's a great teacher. You will become a much better writer after taking this class. Lol at all these kids saying they were honors such and such in high school. High School teacher's must suck balls because Ms. Whitley is on point with everything she is teaching.

The style manual she uses is really helpful. She sticks to the syllabus. And you can always ask for help.

Each essay/paper is handed in, graded, handed back for revisions, and graded again; so you can fixed what she wants fixed and get a better grade (she records the better of the 2). AND she is willing to look at papers before you turn them in and give feedback. Work and you'll pass.
