Best bio teacher I've had at FMU, I'm looking forward to Genetics.

the course is hard as hell, but he gives you great notes, and tests are based on notes. study your a$$ off and you'll do fairly well.

I liked Bauer; he seemed cool to me. The class is difficult, but it is an upper level class. Go to class and review your notes and study like you're supposed to and you should do well.

Dr. Bauer is an excellent teacher! His notes are very thorough and he is always available for questions or explanations. Most of the kids in this class are freshman. They don't understand yet what makes a professor a good teacher. They will at some point!

The class is difficult but if you start hard, and I do mean hard, you should at least get a C. Plus he gives opportunity to earn extra points and the final is based on previous test. Very fair professor.

overall good teacher. hard yes lord! but . . . he will help you, even though i never went for help. give blood and get perfect attendence and you will probably pass. i got a "D" and i was never so happy to get a D in my life!!

Bio 105 was hard, but Dr. B. was just preparing us for tougher courses at FMU. Thank you Dr. B for a great semester.

It's not that he is a hard teacher, it's just that the material covered in this class is very complex. Dr. Bauer is willing to help you if you need it, and if you work hard you will get a good grade, but just remember it is a grade you have to work for

Genetics is the second course I've had under Dr. Bauer, and he is far and away the best teacher I've had at FMU. The subject material is difficult, but he takes the time to make sure that you understand it. He's very helpful outside of class too.

His Biology labs were easy. The lab reports weren't hard and you can re-do them for a better grade (at least the first one, but we only had one due to an ice storm) His quizzes are a little hard, but he usually offers a little extra credit to help out.

Study your notebook, it is your bible for this class!

Dr. Bauer is a GREAT GUY. I've only had him once, but he is cool. If you don't understand it he will explain it to you so you will. If you don't study and keep up you won't last in this class. It is hard, no joke. But, he is cool and the BEST.

I really like biology and Dr. Bauer. He has a great since of humor.

He was a very great teacher. He presents the notes on power point which was a plus. He explains things very well. His grading is a little harsh but if you study the notes from the power point well you will not have any problem. There is really no point in getting the book for the class at all either

Dr. Bauer Is an easy A. All you gotta do is study the easy notes that he gave you in class, your lab, and the vocabulary for the experiment you'll be doing that week and you're bound to easily pass it.

Dr. Bauer is really a good teacher and his notes and lectures is pretty easy if you study.

His class is easy. He's ready to go home the same as you. But his quizzes are sometimes unclear. You don't know what to expect on them.

One of the easiest and most interesting classes I've taken. We didn't have to take any notes or read the book. Everything came in the notebook you have to buy.

He was such a cool guy. I learn so much! He used PP and interfaced with the students using the latest technology. I felt like I could really relate to him. He was very available for help after class. I would take another course from him in the future.

My lab class was at the end of the day so he was always ready to get the exeriment over with. We skipped one experiment. A class did the lab before ours left it on the board, he let us just copy their info and use it to answer the questions in the lab maunel. He's an easy A if you study the notes he give.

he is a good teacher but his lab quizzes are hard. good thing is you always get out of lab early.he will help you if you ask him

A very nice guy and always willing to help you outside of class. TESTS ARE EXTREMELY HARD!!! You study for days and days and still can't break a low B. Questions are tricky and require a lot of critical thinking.

Bauer is a fairly nice guy, but the tests are horrible. You can know every thing there is to know about each answer, but still not be able to pick the right one for the question.

He's a really nice guy and the notes are typed but you take ALOT of them. The tests are EXTREMELY hard. No matter how long you study, you're still probably not going to past. The last test I could recite all the notes to but i still got a bad grade.

The material presented in this Embryology class isn't hard material, Dr. Bauer just makes it hard. You only have 3 tests and 6 quizes so there is alot of material to study for one test. If you study A LOT you will do pretty well.

Seriously guys, why are you in school? If you have a hard time in Dr. Bauer's class, you will fail miserably at your career in biology unless you think flipping burgers is a career. Yes, he makes you think. (it is not illegal yet!!) Yes, he challenges you. I'd rather learn the material than to regurgitate it. Go whine to your employer....

He is a good teacher, but his tests are extremely hard. They are mostly essay, so make sure that you know your notes! It is an essential for his class.

Just wanted to give Dr. B his first Chilli Pepper!!!! For everyone else this class was not hard at all..no need to be in a class like this unless your a Biology Major..then it would be difficult and not enjoyable...and if you don't enjoy it maybe you should look into another major!?!

Be sure to write great notes, highlighting the key points helps. Study for 2 or more hours and you are gold...and be sure to study directly from his study guide.

Very good teacher, genetics is a hard class but he makes it easy to learn. If you are willing to try he is willing to help. Does give alot of homework but it helps.

Dr. Bauer is amazing! I love his teaching style. He seems... odd at first but he really isn't. If your a Bio major check out Ars Medica too. He leads that. He gives you all the notes online so you don't have to copy everything down in class. It really helps you concentrate. I really don't use my book other than the figure, which are useful.

Professor Vernon was one of the best professors i have ever had!! He is very helpful! If you ever need help with anything he is always willing to help. His tests are pretty hard, but if you study and ask questions you shouldnt have any trouble!He also gives extra credit towards the end of the semester.

DR BAUER IS BY FAR MY FAVORTE PROFESSOR I HAVE HAD AT FMU. HE IS SO HELPFUL AND UNDERSTANDING! YES, HIS MATERIAL IS DIFFICULT BUT THIS IS A SENIOR LEVEL COURSE AND IS NOT SUPPOSED TO BE EASY! IF YOU STUDY LIKE YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO AND ACTUALLY ATTEND AND TAKE GREAT NOTES! THEN YOU SHOULD BE FINE! YOU HAVE TO REALLY EARN UR GRADE IN HERE!

Dr. Bauer is by far one of my favorite professors at FMU. He is very difficult and his tests are never easy, but if you come to class and pay attention you should be okay. I still remember everything that I learned, and I'm not even a biology major. Take Him!!!

if you are good at taking notes then take his class!!! his test come straight from the notes!! just study the notes over and over. I barely opened my book!! and he's a piece of cake for bio 115, he doesn't make you do all the extra lab stuff!!

Class is hard simply because its bio. He is a tough teacher. ALOT of notes. He tries to help "freshman" understand how to take notes. He talks fast. He is extremely smart!! No extra credit and you need your book for futher studies. OVerall hard class, unless you study more then the usual.

He gives lots of notes and goes a little fast during class. If you need any questions answered he is more than willing to help. He really cares about his students more than most professors do. He makes you think but if you want to be ready for a career in biology TAKE HIM. If you study a little bit along and along youll do fine.

Bio 105 is tough no matter what, but I'm glad I took it with Dr. Bauer. He's a really good teacher and he gives you lots of chances to be successful in his class.

Masteringbiology account required e-textbook included. I didn't need 105115, but I took it anyway because Dr. Bauer is a great professor. If there are concepts you don't understand, youtubecrashcourse or kahnacademy. He posted the answer key after each exam until the following exam. ^^^Primo way to ace the final. Interesting lectures!

Dr. Bauer is the best Biology professor at FMU! His tests can be tricky but if you study the notes he gives in class you'll do fine. He is very lenient when it comes to homework. If you forget to do the Mastering Biology homework, he will open it back up for you to retry it. I would definitely take Dr. Bauer again!

Very good professor. Very easy to talk to if you don't understand something. Emails back very quick. Expect a good bit of homework. Tests are tough, you will need to study for them, but it is worth it by the final.

Dr. Bauer is awesome ! Attendance is not required , but serves as extra credit if you attend class daily . Tests are pretty much directly from the notes and study guide . Also make certain that you do your homework, do not shrug it off . He is very helpful , and clear cut with his lectures .

He's a great teacher. Really helped me out when my life outside of school got really tough. I am dyslexic and he went through the trouble to put the test in Dyslexic friendly font just for me. Trusky a 10 out of 10!

Dr. Bauer is awesome! He wants you to succeed & it shows. The class itself is hard, but he's able to break it down to where you understand. If you still don't understand, don't be afraid to ask because he will help you. Homework is a huge part. Do your homework and study for his test. You will make it!

This is a 400 level bio course, so of course there is going to be some work. However, you will actually LEARN and be able to apply the material afterwards. Dr. Bauer is always willing to help you during office hours as well.

Great Professor! Gives you plenty of opportunity to get grades and is willing to help out if you do not understand.

Dr. Bauer is amazing. Only has a lecture notebook which is cheap. He gives second chance points on the first two exams. He explains material clearly and doesnt rush. He always is there when you need help and shows you exactly where to find the correct answer and examples. 3rd exam isnt cumulative and is the final; will help you out if you try hard

Took Dr. Bauer a few years ago and I'm currently in graduate school. Advice to everyone, if you go on to a graduate program SAVE YOUR LECTURE NOTEBOOK AND ALL HOMEWORK!!! They are a complete life-saver in graduate school. He taught me so much when I took him. Yes, Genetics and FMU Bio classes are hard in general, but you will thank them later on!

He is an AMAZING professor and I lived in his office asking him questions every single day! He always helped me when I asked. He encouraged me throughout the year to succeed in his class, he believed in me when I didn't believe in myself! You have to buy a cheap notebook with all the notes inside. STUDY EVERYDAY. grade is earned. Gave extra credit

No doubt about it, he is one of the best teachers at FMU, but also one of the most challenging as far as course content is concerned. He is very good at outlining what will be on tests and labs. He is understanding and will accommodate anyone if need be.

He is a very good professor. He teaches by having his slides on the board, then explains the material without repeating what is on the slides. His notes and labs are found in little books that he made himself, so you do not have to write down all of his info again. Test can be hard as he can make a multiple choice question difficult to answer.
