Macro Econ. It was hard. He covered a chapter a week and just read through the power point slides provided by the book company. The tests were hard, with essays. The online hw was my saving grace. Didn't use his office hours, so not sure if he was helpful. I changed majors because this class was so bad.

tough class, but good grades are possible. Very condescending teacher and has loudly called out students who went to him for help. He also swears a lot, and throughout the semester called students very insulting names. I felt very uncomfortable attending his classes

He enjoys watching his students struggle. He tells you the first class that he purposely gives impossible tests and quizzes. In class quizzes are once a week and there are a ton of online homework's and quizzes. Homework are assigned before the material is even taught so you pretty much just have to guess. Cancelled the class before the final

He gets pure enjoyment out of seeing students struggle. All of his tests and quizzes consist of confusing essay questions. He hands out a million hand outs and doesn't explain them or go over the answers. In general, I think he is very rude and unprofessional. I'm a straight A student and i barely passed with a B. Proceed with caution folks.

Dont take gerety. He is definitely the worst professor i have ever had in my life. Doesnt care about his students and shows up late to every class. Honestly dont believe the reviews below cause gerety defintely wrote them. If you take this class i would try to switch professors right away and if not goodluck with the semester lol

Do yourself a favor and do not take this professor. Most sarcastic guy that I have ever meant and thinks everything he does is right. He definitely makes you work for your grade and you have to be on top of all the assignments because there are a lot. Take advantage of online quizzes, they take up a lot of time but are worth it in the end.

I have never had a more frustrating/stressful experience than taking this class. Prof. Gerety will laugh at students when they don't understand something. He isn't the professor that I want to learn from and I am appalled WCU lets him teach here. If they would listen to students reviews from him cause I know my entire class hated him, he'd be gone.

Please "DO NOT TAKE HIM" for ECO351 or FIN325, you will regret it. If you want to succeed, do not take him. He does not care about your success. He curse in class, and very disrespectful to students. You basically have to teach yourself. He does not respond to emails and do not care about your emails. I repeat "DO NOT TAKE HIM" Take someone else.

Well Gerety is very interesting to say the least. I ended up getting an A in this class because I worked my butt off, but there are honestly a lot of better options. My man is very narcissistic and almost seems to enjoy when people don't do what he wants which doesn't make sense unless you take him. Overall, I wouldn't rate him highly at WCU.

He just goes through slides and class is over, basically no teaching at all. I would 100% recommend to drop his class because you will have to teach yourself.

DO NOT TAKE GERETY FOR ECO351 UNLESS YOU TAKE HIM FOR 251 (which I still wouldn't recommend). Our class met once a week and he called us his "stepclass" and gave us 0 attention. "If you don't understand, go to office hours or a tutor. I don't have time to answer these silly questions during lecture" HE'S HORRIBLE. DON'T DO IT

He is actually a terrible teacher. He does not take kindly to questions and is always getting corrected by students during class time because he is doing something wrong. The project required for this class is extremely difficult and an unnecessary amount of work.

Gerety is an unapproachable "professor" who makes very little effort to teach the material in ECO351. The class is done entirely on Cenage, so very little effort on his part. I've heard Dr. Isgin is a much better choice for ECO251 & ECO351, so save yourself the agony and take a competent professor.

Do not take Gerety, take any other teacher. Very rude teacher, all class consists of is him upfront going through a powerpoint. Do not ask questions or you will get yelled at for needing help. At first he seems cool because he jokes around and always says he doesn't care about anything but towards the end of the year he is a a different person.

He's by far the worst teacher I've had in my life. He is a self-described d*ck. He's creepy, touchy and calls his male students "Babe." He yells at people for asking questions when he's unclear and doesn't admit when he's wrong. The only thing keeping him in the classroom is tenure. AVOID AVOID AVOID.

I've never took the time to write a review on a professor ever, but Gerety is just that terrible. Extremely rude, does not know how to talk to his students, & will not admit when he's wrong & He would make you feel dumb for asking questions. If I could Give him a negative rating, I would! He is not good with responding to emails, and I have seen a few students go up to him after class stating that they went to his office hours and he never showed up. He is unwilling to slow down and answer questions, he is all over the place with requirements, deadlines, and inability to explain material.

Never once wrote a review about a professor, but like the other reviews say...This guy shouldn't even be able to call himself a professor. If it weren't for tenure, he'd be long gone by now. He is the most classes, rude person I have ever met. He has no spot in the education system and it's a huge question to me how he even got this job in the first place. Constantly uses profanity and derogatory terms. By far the most unprofessional professor I have had and will ever meet. He puts a terrible name on the university.

Unwilling to help students with a basic question about the Stat Project which is 30-40% of your grade. He wants you to refer back to his outdated videos on excel for the whole project. The test are also very difficult. If you have the option to take eco 351 with someone else do it.

This class made my semester so stressful. My friend was in another class and passed with an A and everyone in my class is struggling.

I have spent hours and days on our Final project and still receiving terrible feedback, even after watching all of his lectures following step by step. He does not help. I scheduled office hours with him to help me, and he never showed up. I would steer clear from this class if there is another position available.

He's incredibly rude to his students and is reluctant to help them. Overall, I just don't think he's good person. I recommend you to take someone else.

WARNING, do not take this professor's class. This professor barely teaches anything and has you waste your time all year on a meaningless stat project. Do not go to class late or you will get disrespected in front of the entire class and singled out for the rest of the semester. If this professor doesn't like you he will make it known.

the most arrogant professor at WCU by far. ask a question he'll legitimately make fun of you and won't help. so unorganized. about 6-8 homework assignments per week. Quiz every week in class. 3 paper exams. Doesn't teach, every class u sit down in groups of three and do in class assignments teaching yourself

I thought about ignoring previous reviews about this guy and decided to take the chance to take his class. It turns out that he is the worst professor I have ever had. He doesn't teach at all, and on top of that, he is rude to everyone. You can't ask questions, or else he will clown you. Please take my advice, and do not take this guy's class.

Find someone else. This guy is the worst professor I've ever had at WCU; he makes you feel dumb when asking for help. The class average on exams was around 60%, and nothing on the exams correlated with the lectures. He is an insanely tough grader, with three exams, a final, and a project.

Be ready to teach yourself this entire course, this guy runs through lectures super fast and expects you to learn it all and is no help when asking a question. Questions on exams and finals will be things you never went over in class. dude needs to be fired.

Business analytics 2 is a hard class in itself but this professor doesn't help whatsoever. He essentially expects you to learn it yourself, he rushes through lectures and will embarass or laugh at students for aksing questions. He will very rarely re explain or show any grace with not understanding topics.

This professor is genuinely mean and dismissive. Asking questions is met with irritation, and lectures are rushed, unclear, and disconnected from the textbook. D2L is disorganized, and the class environment feels stressful and discouraging. Easily the worst learning experience I've had at WCU. If you take this class, prepare for 16 weeks of anxiety

No clarity from Vermin. D2L looks like my dirty laundry pile, you can never find what you need. Homework's and quizzes are not based on what we do in class. He is always late to class and doesn't hesitate to swear at students for simple misunderstandings. Vernon (Vermin) needs to be TERIMINATED from West Chester IMMEDIENTLY. He is an EMBARRASMENT!!

This is a terrible teacher don't waste your time going in person. He changed how much tests were worth, he shifted homework assignments around every class period. He made fun of me and other students literally for just being there. He refused to help me with assignments. He needs to be reported and fired.

His snide remarks and walking away when asking for clarification have led me and many others to just get help from each other and/or get help somewhere else. With 3 intensive exams, a final, and a semester-long project, he offers next to zero support (he gives just a bit of help during office hours). He should've been fired by yesterday.

Absolute Horrendous Professor. Extremely rude to students pursuing clarification, and tests are extremely difficult and nothing like the material from class, which you have to teach yourself. 3 exams throughout the semester that make up 60% of your grade, and a semester-long project with the most work possible on it. This man doesn't deserve a job!
