She is extremly funny, always fun to be in her class. She actually uses real life examples to the work we are doing.

Best teache she know s what shw is doing, she prepares you for an university. One bad thing about the class is that there are many essays but all of them are easy. I recommend this teacher she is awesome.

Attendance is mandatory and you can't be late or she deducts points the third time you are late. The textbook is used a lot so you must buy the book because you use it in class almost every day.

Great Teacher! Very informative! Does not baby students. Explains all assignments at beginning of semester and simply reminds students of due dates. No busy work, just essays. Only 5 pages. Really easy. Enjoyable class. Laughed atleast once per class session :) Loved Ms. Diaz!! I recommend taking her!!

The fact that this teacher asks for 4 drafts for each essay, doesn't read drafts to help her students, and is unavailable weekends before essays are do really angered me. I got a great grade in this class and love English, but this teacher really made the subject seem like a chore.

Ms. Diaz is amazing and helpful. Her work is clearly stated and she will explain it more if you ask for help in class or during office hours. She does give 4 essays and 1 research paper, but it isn't to much to ask for. She is overall a nice lady and you should take her don't believe what others say.

So far,good class. mostly assigns essay, which are a big part of ur grade. Shes helpful, and tells u everything u need on knw. Very rare to get lower then a C on papers, even if u BS it. Her biggest pet-peeve is short essays when she says 4 FULL pgs, she means it. Make sure you have a good intro,thesis,&conclusion & ur good. cuz thats all she reads

If your planning to transfer to a four year college I suggest this class.It improved my essay writing skills and challenged me academically,but it definitely took the most time out of my schedule compared to my other courses

Professor Cox is an amazing teacher. There are very few left that are like her. She will not baby students and push them to do their best. I personally enjoyed her class; never left without laughing once. I recommend her if you want to learn, but if you are like "whatever" don't waste her time.

She's a great professor! The one thing that you need to understand, when taking her, is that when she asks for 4 full pages, she means FULL or it will affect your grade. I enjoyed her class and learned alot.

MS Cox is the best instructor she really pushes her students to succeed.She does give a lot of writting assignment but it is worth it i really improved my writting skills in her class you will learn a lot from her.Take her if you really want to learn (sit in front of the class she likes it)

Prof Diaz is actually a great profesor. Yes, she is strict & her class can b challenging, however, she wants her students 2 learn. She makes u feel like an adult. If u want 2 learn & want a challenge,take her, yes, there is alot of writing, but stay on track u will not regret it. She allows u 2 rewrite ur essays. It's an investment n2 ur future.

Her classes are easy if you go in already knowing how to write well. She's very set in her ways when it comes to writing. She talks down to you and makes inappropriate comments. Her assignments are all very similar, which can get boring. If English isn't your best subject, I would suggest taking a class with Barbato, Daly, or Grant.

The Pilot Program was a bit challenging. Considering there was 8 papers due, 18 journals, 2 midterms, 2 finals, and a research paper. MLA format is important! Great professor. A lot of time needs to be dedicated to her class. Not to mention, she is funny! Cares a lot about her students. I would totally recommend her, you will learn a lot!

I have taken Professor Diaz-Cooper for 3 semesters, 28, 101 and 102. She is an Excellent Professor! You learn to write great Essays! The material of literary criticism was a bit challenging but she was always available at her office hours if we needed more help understanding the material. She is a very smart and inspirational Professor!Take Her!!

Professor Diaz-Cooper initially seems intimdating, but she is not. She is very blunt and outspoken. She has a good sense of humor. She does not mind answering questions and giving good examples for your essays. As long as you do the work and do not procrastinate, you will do fine. She is a tough grader, but she is fair. i took her in engl 28, engl 101 during the summer, engl 102. i would say the best english teacher i have ever had. she explains over and over again if i did not get anything, she didnt get mad at me. she makes a lot of jokes and talk a lot, but if you pay attention you will see she is giving you topics for your essays. DONT PROCRASTINATE!

I took her class for 28 and 101 and honestly, yea she is pretty tough because she makes you do a lot of work but she is a really good teacher. The harder something is, the more you try, and the more you grow. I dont understand why people are complaining about her. I got an A and a B for her two classes.

Professor Diaz-Cooper was very detailed in the way she gave notes. Everything she taught was to make people better at writing. Her feedback made it easier to see the mistakes and make sure the students did not make the same mistake again.

Professor Diaz-Cooper was very clear on what she wanted in an assignment. She expects proper mla format, a solid thesis, and you must attend class. You must also bring all of your materials to class or she will dismiss you. Overall, she was a great professor and has taught me a lot. I do not recommend her if you hate reading and writing.

Professor Diaz was an amazing professor and I had the pleasure of taking her twice once for Eng28 and again for 101. The first rule in Professor Diaz's class is follow directions trust me this goes a long way. One thing I will say is she is very picky when it come to MLA format so make sure your papers are properly formatted before submitting them

I ended up taking Professor Diaz-Cooper for two classes and I do have to agree she is one tough gal. From the beginning she will let you know what is expected from you and will even advice you to drop her class if you like to procrastinate. Her class is only difficult if you expect an easy grade. Follow her rules and do the HW and you should be ok

I took Professor Diaz-Cooper's class this past winter semester and I have to say it was tough. She is a very nice teacher and very professional but don't expect her to baby sit you like a kid. Do the work how and when she wants it done and you'll do just fine. Expect to go into this class ready to work and learn.

Just do your work and you will be fine. She will help you as long as you ask for it and is open to revising your papers before you turn them in. You will have to turn in 3 drafts before you turn in any paper. Be prepared to revise your papers.

She is a tough grader and is also clear on what she wants, and if she isn't then she is twice as clear when you ask a question about whatever you are confused over. A lot of students dropped the class because they were not willing to put in the effort.

I took this professor for 3 semesters straight for my English requirements. I absolutely enjoyed her classes. I felt like I learned a lot. I have never had a professor who provided so much feedback. She was very kind and you could go to her any question. If I could take her again I definitely would. She really helped me become a better writer.

Prof. Diaz-Cooper is tough but follow her instructions step by step and you will pass. She may be intimidating but her lectures are fun & She'll help you if you ask for it. I don't recommend if you procrastinate or won't try you'll fail if you do so.
