awesome teacher, very nice

This teacher is off the hook! She is awesome, if you love geography and you want to learn this is the teacher for you!!! there are alot of extra points, you are involved, and she always helps.

She was very cool, total would tel ya to take her. Test are not to bad if you pay attention a little bit, make you laugh the entire time. Tell Mrs. M to let you watch the email with europe and italy. Tell her you know the guy that couldn't stop laughin in class and she'll love ya lol.

Really cool teacher...very nice and tries to explain as much as she can what she is talking about.

She is a very nice lady. She does not give a lot of work, and if pretty easy going. However, her tests are fairly difficult. You have to study really hard to do good on them.

This has been a great class and I would recommend taking Prof. Mormino to anyone. The classes are interesting and the presentations creative. I am disappointed at the lack of respect & bad attitude of some of the other students (esp. the the comment before mine). Some juveniles in class put in no effort but expect A's. Disregard.

This professor is awesome just like the earlier comentators say. Disregard the last two comments from obvious underacheivers who do nothing but expect A-grades. These students make us all look bad. I know who they are. This class is great.

Can't say anything bad about her or her class. Tests are a breeze if you do your reading. Hardly any homework. Final was a breeze, took me 10 minutes to complete. The only advice I can give is don’t just rely on what she is teaching in class to get you an A. Class is easy as long as you take some sort of responsibility on your part. -CJ

This was my favorite teacher this semester (spring 06). Her accent is cool and she's funny to top it off. You learn about some cool places and she really does know her stuff. She'd be a fun ass person to travel with I think. Not mean at all. If she's not in the mood to teach, DISMISSED! If you want to learn a lot you can, or skate by if u want.

Mormino is amazing!!!! She's a fun, energetic teacher, who cares about her students and wants them all to do well. She doesnt like to hand As to undeservers, but if you put in your best effort, you will walk away with a great class experience and great grade. Plus, she has an awesome brasilian accent!

There is a lot of different requirements in the class. First of all, there are test(study hard especially for two first ones), do all journals, and map quizzes and you will pass the class. Make sure that you buy and read the textbook because the tests are based on the readings. The teacher is over all realy nice.

She is a great teacher, I too her during the summer, and all we had to learn was countries and the physical features no capitals unlike during the fall and spring semesters. What an awesome teacher! I took GEG101 (teleweb) with Professor Mormino last Summer. She is an excellent professor who cares about her students. She posted announcements every week, sent emails to the entire class and allowed to re-take exams. Tests are not easy. If you are organized and study, you will do well in this class! I just completed GEG101 Teleweb! I took 5 classes this semester but the class I learned the most is this one. The entire class is on-line. You can re take the exams. The teacher is great and communicates with the students all the time. A lot of info but is worthy!!!! I want to take more geography classes now.

I took The Developed World this semester and loved this class!!I did not what to expect at the beginning of this semester but the class is super interesting. You have to read the textbook in order to pass this class. But, if you study and come to class, you will become a Geography fan. After taking this class, I am thinking in minor in "Geography".

I enjoyed having this teacher, being in her class would brighten up the day because she is always optimistic and a great teacher. Some of the material you will have to research on your own but it's not a big deal, especially since the material is interesting. She also looks young and very pretty too ;)

Very funny, sweet woman. A bit disorganized but is very passionate about her subject and definitely knows what she's talking about. Attend class every day and pay very close attention to the reading and lecture as she asks obscure questions on the exams every once in awhile. A lot of work is required but you are rewarded for the effort.

Prof. Mormino is a sweetheart. Sometimes misunderstooded but so nice I love her! very good sense of humor. A lot of work, reading material and homework but so worth it. If you put the time you will be fine she a very fair grader.Definitelly recomend her.

Pretty cool teacher, tests are covered in class and questions are basically the same as the ones on quizzes. Homework is easy, discussions boards are very easy, and map quiz is as easy as you make it. I ended up with a high A and only put in about 1 or 2 hours a week outside of class. I would recommend to everyone.

I took the online version of the class and I didn't learn that much mainly because I'm not self-disciplined. She offers a good amount of extra credit though. If you want to learn something in the online version then you better be self-disciplined or have strong interest in the subject because you can still get an A without learning anything.

Easiest online class I've ever taken, memorize maps and take a trip to the testing center to get the map quiz's out of the way right away all 11 of them... then go on blackboard and do all 11 of video assignments... this will take u quite awhile but then all you'll have to worry about is studying and exam taking...

I took her 8 week online course. Go to her orientation, it's very helpful as to how the class works. Map quizzes are fairly simple, but must be taken at the testing center. Tests you take on your home computer. She has 1-2 video quizzes a week and a review for every chapter. Final is at the testing center and can be taken twice.

Not an easy class to take online, you read the entire book and a lot of work is to be done. do not take if you're lazy. lesson is pretty straight forward read and take the test. read ahead! some questions arent from the same chapt. study the maps early. she emails you back quickly. hard grader, misspelling states or countries is wrong so study hard

Prof. Mormino is the dept. chair of Geography, she's nice and helpful. As long as you read the book and participate you should be fine. I took her completely online, but met her once and she is there to help. I would recommend her, but know that online is a lot more difficult than sitting in class!

I take the class on-line so is difficult for me to find the time to stop by Professor Mormino's office But it really worthy it. She has responded to ALL my e-mails the same day. The online class doesn't do her a justice, in person she is a wonderful human being, very knowledgeable, intelligent and caring teacher. With an online class you are losing on the face to face experience, and communication can become impersonal. If you have a problem, see her. She is great!

Professor Mormino is EXCEPTIONAL! I had a question regarding something, I emailed her because I am in her online class, she responded within less than 24 hours. I was able to meet with her that same week. She was very understanding and so easy to talk too! I would recommend her for either online class or in class room!

I think she was pretty fair! This online class was A LOT of work, but it was totally doable! She lays out everything she wants in the syllabus so you know exactly what to expect and what is due when. The only thing I would say is I thought her tests were challenging and sometimes they did't reflect the study guides. Other than that, she's fair.

By far the most genuine and caring instructor I have had. I had a difficult semester due to family issues and she was very understanding & supportive. Even though the syllabus had exact conditions and due dates, she was more than willing to make accommodations for me. She is extremely approachable. Class material was relevant, informative, and fun.

I took Professor Morminos on-line class. She was very helpful and responded to emails promptly. You have two attempts to take each exam. Do the reviews on-line because you will see similar questions in the exams. Professor Mormino is very understanding if you have a problem e-mail her. Highly recommend to take this Class!

I took Mrs Morminos Geg 100 online course. The class for me was a bit harder because I got a C. As long as you do the work and study its a sure pass. Her online course did have difficulty but as long as you came to her with the concern she would try her best to fix it. I liked that I was able to come to her and she would try her best to help me.

I took Professor Mormino The Developing World class and learned so much. The topics for the discussion boards are super interesting. You take the vocabulary quizzes, maps and exams on-line. There is a lot of reading but I love Geography! If you meet the datelines and do not fall behind this class is for you. Love Professor Mormino!

I really enjoyed Professor Mormino's online GEG103 class. Professor Mormino sends several reminders every week for what is due, and although the readings were long, they were very interesting. Took her for online geography. You will have weekly map quizzes and a weekly 30 min video to watch with a 10 point quiz after. You really need to watch the video to answer the questions. Keep up with the due dates. No discussions besides an introduction one. Easy.

The syllabus makes it very clear what you need to do to get an A in this course. An A is definitely attainable if you do the work, and she even offers an extra credit opportunity at the end if you need the extra points. Discussion board posts and replies almost every week along with textbook reading. Online exams are timed. I definitely recommend.

Professor Mormino is a fantastic teacher. I took her GEG103 honors class last Spring. The class was so informative and fun. She keeps class interesting and covers all the content you need to know from the textbook. I learned so much in her class. She gives an extra credit opportunity at the end and is overall a great teacher. Highly recommend her!

She has many discussion boards that must be answered every week. At first I didnt think she helped me too much when I had a question but by mid semester she definitely proved me wrong. Shes a great professor and her class is very intriguing, and this is was a social science elective for me and I enjoy it. The work is reasonable and pretty cool

If you do all your assignments and all the readings, this class should not be a burden on you.

Professor Morminos online class is very organized! Some online classes are sometimes a challenge to navigate, but not hers! She communicates frequently throughout the week. She always responds to emails. Very detailed syllabus and her expectations are very clear. Highly recommend her!

Besides her not answering emails super fast, still would recommend. Super easy & straight forward course including, weekly map & vocab quizzes, and discussions. She offers powerpoints, which make note taking easier for the exams. Take the extra credit, it is super easy. She offers a light work load which is great & she gives a schedule to follow.

Veronica is a great teacher. She is funny, intelligent and knows her stuff. She is also very approachable and organized, so if you need help or anything you can ask. She offers online office hours which are very helpful. She responds to emails right away. Highly recommend her!

I have taken Professor Mormino for Geo 100 and Geo 101 and these were two of the easiest classes Ive ever had. Light workload. Easy material. She gives some extra credit, too. She should be rated 5 stars. If you need a Social Science course, take one of her Geography classes- you wont regret it.

This class is great as long as you do your homework. If you do the homework there is no way you will not pass. There are quizzes or tests almost every week but only worth 10 points so even if you bomb the test, the homework will make up for it. The homework is simple discussion boards that take no more than 20 minutes. She also responds super fast!

I am currently in the 4week online summer class. The class has a total of 550 points, 200 of which are your 2 exams. So you can get an A on every single vocab & map quiz, including discussion boards, 60% on the exams (ridiculously hard)but still finish with a B like me if you are lucky. If you're just looking for the credits and to pass, TAKE IT.

Professor Mormino has very clear expectations posted on the syllabus. You know from day one what to expect in her class. She is super caring and knowledgeable about her subject. I love to read the textbook and use the PP presentations and study guides for the Exams. Do the work and you will just do fine. Highly recommend to take her GEG101 class.

Best teacher at Harper! I took two Geography classes with Professor Mormino, GEG101 and 100. You need to read the book and I have no problem doing that because I am a college student. She is super organized and very caring. I got an A in both classes. I highly recommend taking a Geography class with her.

Honestly, I don't understand the bad comments toward this professor. Yes, you have to read the textbook. However, all the resources are there for you to succeed. Mormino is passionate about the topic and so organized. If you ask for help, she will do her best to assist you. Use the study guides and PP presentations and take notes.

Professor Mormino is a great professor. Her assignments are so clear and she gives good feedback. Her Blackboard page is well organized. She does not do any lectures which are actually nice because I had other lectures to watch/attend. As long as you do the work well and on time, you should definitely get an A :).

Professor Mormino is a gem. Her Blackboard shell is so organized and clear to follow, and she gives plenty of practice quizzes so we can learn the material. You MUST read the textbook. I completely disagree with the review that says that GEG101 is like a 400-level class. The class is very organized, and Professor Mormino makes four weeks available at once on Blackboard. Yes, you are in college, and you have to read the textbook. Amazing professor and I would take her again!

Awesome Professor. Once you get to know her, she'll break her back to help you. You have one test, one map quiz, one discussion board and one vocabulary quiz each week. There is no final in this class. Easy A if you do homework and study for test. Very respected professor. Funny too.

Professor Mormino replies to questions super-fast in an email. Cultural geography is also about sociology, and this aspect was most beneficial for me. It was extremely interesting course. Blackboard is super easy to follow and lay out perfectly.

Professor Mormino's GEG100 online class is great. There is an easy to read book and multiple quizzes each week. There are also special assignments like Discussion Boards scattered throughout. There are 3 exams and a Final but the lowest exam score is removed. She gives the opportunity for extra credit. There is no reason not to get an A if you try.
