This teacher is the best. She is very helpful and extremely nice. This can be an easy A if you do the work on time.

I think Doctor Pantoja is an exceptional professor! She teaches with a fresh attitude, and I love that she is completely approachable. Some Profs are stuffy and snobby seeming, but Dr. P isn't like that at all. She's a real person and very willing to help which is the main reason I have recommended her to all my friends who need Comp I or II!

She is a wonderful teacher. She is very helpful and you can get extra credit if you go to the writing center (if you need it). This class can be an easy A if you do the work on time and try to attend every class.

Great teacher! I would recommend this teacher to anyone. The papers can get a bit redundant, but it is a very easy A! She also has a great personality and is willing to help you. We got out early multiple times.

She's the best! Every thing that is required to pass the class is to do the readings, make sure all essay are done by the due date, and put effor into the class. This is a fun class and the novels were of a gothic/horror genre. Class was never borning, she's an unbeat professor and will help if you ask.

Love Her! Always smiling unless she knows you didn't read your material! Lots of writing but it's Composition so to be expected! Our books were horror genre (classics), which made it more exciting. She is very helpful, whether you do well or not is up to you. She offers extra credit if you visit SWC which will also improve your grade so win-win

Dr. Pantoja is an excellent instructor! I took her 1301 class during summer one and passed with an A. Since it was a 6 wk course it was all relatively quick, but she Explained everything thoroughly and was very helpful. Her peer writing groups are a great idea and are beneficial if you actually do them. LOVE her, she is the best!

Dr. Pantoja was an awesome English teacher. She knew exactly what she was teaching, and was always there if you had a question. Her work was pretty tough, due to the fact that the papers are pretty long, and you must clearly understand you career path, to get through this course. I enjoyed her class, and would definitely recommend her to anyone.

Dr.Pantoja is a great teacher. I enjoyed having her for 1301 so I just had to have her for 1302. I took her online course,and although it was a bit harder, I really enjoyed reading the books assigned to us. It was HORROR and I enjoyed the discussions we had as a virtual classroom.

I loved Dr. Pantoja. She is fun, has a good sense of humor, and can be flexible with assignments. Her horror theme was the best and she is extremely helpful with the papers. It does require work and reading but she makes it fun and worth keeping up with.

Dr. Pantoja is a great teacher! Now there is reading involed but she helps and breaks down the chapters with the whole class in a way that anyone can understand what's going on in the novels the papers she ask for are a bit harder but it's 1302 so you should expect to put out good writing overall she is great and goes far and beyond to help you

I really do miss taking her class :-( it was the funniest class I have ever took at delmar but that class did require a lot of reading and she is a brilliant teacher so she expects great papers (which is fine for me I made a A on every paper turned in) I overall suggest everyone take her class she is a great teacher!

Absolutely adore her! You can tell she loves her career! The work is time consuming, but when you have a teacher like her, you just want to finish it. She's always there if you need help. Loved her class overall.

Taking this class during the Summer was a mistake. English shouldn't be rushed. I figured the theme would make the class more enjoyable, but for me it just adds a level of difficulty that I'm not sure I can handle. But If you have loads of free time and can write a focused 3-5 pg researched essay in 1-2 nights, go for it. P.s. Pantoja is cool.

I loved, loved loved her class! It is definitely a challenging class but so worth it! She is always willing to help and always gives back excellent feedback! Take her class you won't regret it!

Veronica Pantoja is a very amazing professor. Really wants to help her students do well and succeed. Assigns 3 major papers that are mandatory and you can't pass without them. Go to the writing center to earn extra credit! Has peer review before each papers due but Not hard though. The final is a paper written in class. Great caring teacher!

Dr. Veronica Pantoja is a great instructor. Homework is given but it helps to complete the essays. Extra Credit opportunities are given by attending the stone writing center. This is a very organized class. I would take this class again and recommend to friends.

I loved her class. Took it online... If you can meet with her or the writing lab she will give extra credit. If she offered her 1302 class online I would take it! She has a theme for classes. 1301 was your career choice. And then her 1302 is monsters, vampires and werewolves.

I took Dr. Pantoja online and the class was really enjoyable. Like others stated, she did wait until the last day to grade a couple of the major paper assignments but I didn't have an issue with it. She gave back great feedback on assignments. Assignments due Wed and Sat. I felt the class was easy as long as all assignments are completed. Take her!

Dr. Pantoja is a cool woman. English is my weakest subject so I was not looking forward to the class going in but this professor lit a fire in me and I found myself determined to do well in her class. If your lazy, her class is not for you. I took her class a year ago and still read my own papers, astonished I wrote them.

Dr. Pantoja was great and I really enjoyed being in her class. The only difficult thing was trying to read so much in a short period of time but starting early really helps. She makes the class really fun and interactive and really helps you understand the text during class.

I absolutely enjoyed taking her class! Her assignments were easy to understand. You honestly shouldn't fail this class or get lower than a C if you don't do your work (which is a given) and follow directions. Though she does take a while to grade back main papers. Overall, I would take her class again :)

She is a really good teacher. You have to work for it. I took her for 1301 online last year and I slacked off just a little and wound up dropping a letter grade. Her 1302 is themed for monsters vampires and madmen. My book list was Dracula, Frankenstein, and Dr. Jekyll Mr. Hyde. She's laid back and funny.

English has always been my favorite subject. I took this same course last semester with another professor, received a D, and became discouraged. I retook the course with Dr. Pantoja and received an A. She is an amazing professor that gives great feedback on your papers, and she is always there to help with the papers and prompts she gives.

At first I thought her class was hard but it wasn't at all. It was the usual and gives great feedback and will speak to you one on one of you are having trouble with an assignment.

I really enjoyed this class. I took her horror section class and the novels she selected for reading material grabbed my attention and kept me hooked. I liked this instructor because a lot of her stuff is objective. Just USE PROPER GRAMMAR.

I have taken her ENGL 1301 AND ENGL 1302 class. I really like her and I felt that she was a great professor. She really cares about her students and whenever you need help, she will help you. Yet, her ENGL 1302 was a bit tough with lots of reading and 3 main papers.

I love to read, so I had no problem with that part of the assignments. A paper was written for each of the 3 books read and a power point presentation for the last book as well. Final was pretty easy but a lot of writing. Dr. Pantoja has a great sense of humor and the class was fun and entertaining. She has a lot of grading to do, be patient.

I had a great experience in Dr. Pantoja's English 1301 online class. Just follow the syllabus, and use proper grammar. She gives you handouts, and power points on anything she does not want used. Dr. Pantoja is willing to help her students and gives great writing advice. Again just follow the syllabus and a student will be good to go.

This was by far one of the most interesting English classes ! Shes awesome you will not regret taking her !!!

Dr. Pantoja's 1302 class was my favorite class out of my entire college career. She is incredibly smart, witty, and actually teaches you how to read and analyze literature, and write amazing papers--if you pay attention. The source packets may seem like a pain, but they are beneficial in the long run. She is the best teacher I've ever had.

Just read! Extra credit is given for going to the writing center when it comes to essays. Take Dr. Pantoja for 1301 or 1302, you'll be sorry if you don't.

LOVED Dr. Pantoja! She is passionate about literature and horror! I took her for 1301 & 1302. Her style of teaching is easy and fun! It's a COMPOSITION class for a reason, writing and finding sources are part of it - take her up on office hours if you are unsure about an assignment and use the writing center as well, again it's an LITERATURE CLASS!

Absolutely would 100% take this class again. It has been one of my favorite classes so far and Dr. Pantoja makes it interesting. She makes it very clear what she expects and gives all the tools necessary to pass this class.

Dr. Pantoja has a highly developed pedagogy for ENGL 1301. Unlike other professors, she systematically provides everything needed to succeed in her class. Take every assignment, large or small, seriously as each task in the sequence builds the skills required to complete the next one. She is transparent with expectations and offers great feedback.

I took Dr. Pantoja spring of 2020 and she was amazing! Lectures were really fun and she explained everything. Three essays lots of mini assignments that contribute/help with the major essays. Do not hesitate to email her regarding questions, or even reviewing parts of your essay! She is my favorite teacher so far, wish I took her for English 2!

Dr. Pantoja is an amazing professor, you wont regret taking her. She provides you with clear material on what she expects from you and how she wants it. She provides great feedback for making you a stronger writer. Im currently taking her summer class and your grades are heavily based upon 3 essays you MUST all complete or you will fail!

She cares if you do forsure. Expect to have something due M/W/F. She is easily accessible, she replies insanely fast, but her grading takes a little bit of time. You have quizzes here and there along with 3 papers. Shes super lenient with grading IMO, extra credit in different forms.

Dr. Pantoja works very hard to teach you to write well in the college setting. If you take her class, and you study every single resource she offers, including her very informative announcements, you will develop the writing skills you need so that you can make better grades in all of your other classes (papers) for the rest of your college career.

Dr. Pantoja is honestly an amazing professor. Shes very detailed in the assignments we have to do. Confused on something? Shes an email away. Theres not many professors Ive had that are as good as she is. Extra Credit is available if you take her class online. Just had her this Fall 2021 and she is by far the best English Professor Ive had!!!

Professor Pantoja's 1302 class was a lot of fun. Dracula was my favorite assignment. I would gladly take her again. However, be prepared to really put in the work. You have to read at least 5 chapters to be ready for the quiz. She has her writing pet peeves so I advise you follow her guide. Also, use an audio book option to help with the readings.

The best professor I have had at Del Mar. I took her during the summer and enjoyed the class. It was a small close so she was very hands on and had clear instructions. I would love to take another one of her courses!

Dr. Pantoja is a great professor and is very knowledgeable in her field of both English and the horror genre. This class requires a lot of time and effort. There will be many days where you are up at night having to read 5 chapters before the next class. There are a lot of quizzes on small details in the books so PAY ATTENTION. DO NOT FALL BEHIND!

Dr. Pantoja is the best English professor I've ever had.

She is a very good professor, and I enjoyed the class content. However, I did not feel comfortable being in the class because she would talk about men having bad intentions to society. I felt very oppressed, and left out and it really had a mental impact on me. Her teachings are very good, and she grades fair with the papers and allows revision.

Dr. Pantoja is easily one of the best English professors I've ever had. It honestly is a lot of reading and working on essay's but if you stay on top of it, you will be fine! She has a great sense of humor and it's clear she cares about her students, and only want us to succeed. Take advantage of her office hours! They're a huge help.

Writing has always been tough for me so I was worried but she made the class enjoyable and inspiring. Decent amount of homework, only 3 papers but you work on them in advance and assigns worksheets to help brainstorm. They're a lot of work but definitely help! I recommend utilizing her office hours because they are beneficial. I would take again.

Just finished my semester with her she was amazing ! Listen I know a lot of the reviews say tough grader and they'd be right but listen she's a great English teacher. She's not gonna give you a bad grade and not tell you why. Loved her class she was always ready to teach and kept the class interacting and interested :) I recommend
