Grades pretty hard. I somehow got an A in the class. I can't say the same for the people that sat around me. Pretty cool teacher though. Papers aren't that long.

She is a tough teacher, but is will to help you.

Very straight to the point type teacher. She says what is on her mind and has no problem telling you to shut up in class (laugh). Tells you everything you need to know to pass...I got a 'B'. Gave a project and best group project was exempt from final!

You definitely have to be willing to work. If you're lazy and want to sleep, don't take her. I made an A, but it's because I worked hard on all of my papers. If she sees that you are willing to work and don't mind doing it, you'll be fine.

She is a very good transitional teacher from high school to college. She is willing to help if you need, I got a B and didn't stress or work overly hard in her class.

VERY helpful teacher. She will sit down with you anytime if you have problems writing your papers. And she grades very fair! sort of funky at times, as in not very southern.

Wow, a wonderful instructor!!! I am taking Ms. V's 102 this quarter and so far, she has been extremely cool. She will make you work hard for an 'A', but is more than willing to help you get one.

You want a GOOD instructor? This is the one. VERY Helpful! She is not affraid to joke in class. Be prepared to work for a good grade, but expect Ms. V to do anything to help. <HOT STUFF!!!>

She is probably one of the better English teachers at Tech but she is pretty hard. She expects alot out of her students and does not give anything away for free; she will make you work for your grade and she grades fairly hard. She will help you as much as you need her help though.

By far the best English teacher at La Tech!! Loved her...was a lil hard, but gave a lot of bonus. Go by her office if you need any kind of help and believe me, she will help you out!!

She is a great teacher, but if you want an easy A don't take her. She makes class fun and will help you in any way she can.

She's a great teacher. Her tests are a little hard, and she's hard to take notes from, but she's fun in class and gives bonus on occasion.

Ms. V is freaking the shiznizzle! She is a little tough, but not too bad. She is the funnest teacher I have had at Tech! And she's always willing to help out.

She is a very helpfull teacher. I went to her for every assignment and she really helped me out. It is alot of work but now I dont mind taking English. You should take her every chance you can. (And shes not that bad looking either)

Ms. V is an awesome teacher! She's a hard grader, but fair. You have to work in her class, but she's very helpful. If you go to her office and ask for help, she'll drop what she's doing and spend an hour, if that's what it takes, until you fully understand everything. She's great and I recommend her if you want a challenge and to actually LEARN. :)

She loves what she does, and she is a little crazy. Kinda unclear on assignments sometimes but very helpful. She doesn't like absences so try not to miss too many days and you'll be fine. In my opinion she is a hard grader. If you write well you will do fine.

This is one of those classes where you get out what you put in. You have to keep up with the daily reading/writing assignments and participate in class discussion. If you don't show interest in her class, she doesn't show interest in your grade. I didn't like all the reading, but I liked the class.

She likes to pick her favorites, but if you go to her office, she will love you.

Make sure you make yourself known to her(in a good way).As long as she knows you(and likes you) she tends to grade your essay easier.One major piece of advice i can give that is very valueable for Mrs. V is...GO TO HER OFFICE!! Ask her what she thinks of your paper. Talk to her about random stuff. She will love you & you will do good in the class

Shes a great Prof. and will help you out. Don't make her mad and watch for the final. I did well decent on the midterm and bombed the final because it was completely essay, 700 words per all 4 questions.

She's a pretty good teacher. She LOVES poetry. If you don't like poetry, i don't recommend her. The majority of our quarter was on poetry. Your research paper is on poetry. Her grades are based off of 3 papers that you write. She does show favoritism and is usually unclear.

she is a wonderful teacher! i absolutely loved going to her class! she made it interesting and does alot of work, but if you just do the work and make a point to try hard, then she is willing to help. we wrote alot!!!! overall her class is fun, but you have to give it effort.

she is very nice. its hard to understand what she wants sometimes in her essays. almost everything in her class was strictly writing. there was hardly any grammar, just writing.

I took a couple of years ago for a Poetry class. She really stimulates interest and used an awesome text book I still like to go back and read. Her little comments make the class hilarious ("lesbians and keg parties don't mix well") and I still use knowledge learned.

I think she is an exceptional teacher! She really cares about her students and is very helpful!

Great teacher! Pretty laid back with grading. As long as the requirements are met, you get a C. I recommend taking her class. She's pretty cute too.

If you don't get what she's saying and doing, then you're just too stupid or too lazy to try. She's brilliant, she's HOT, and she WILL teach you exceptionally well. If you think she's biased, you are just pissed that you didn't get a good grade, and you probably didn't read or write what she told you to.

Best professor I've ever had also the hottest on that taken as well.

Ms. V is awesome! If you need help or want some extra time all you have to do is go to her office. She is very fair and will allow you second Chances. Take her if all possible. You wont regret it.

She is a very interesting teacher that loves to here others opinions. She gives fun work so it isnt' very hard to do. The research paper was long and kinda hard but she will help if you just ask. Overall-Good teacher and good class to take

Mrs. V is awesome. 'nuff said. make sure you sit near the front of the class and get involved in the conversation. she definitely has favorites. if you go by her office, she'll TELL you what she wants you to do. follow her cues.

Mrs. V is a great teacher. She likes to drop f bombs sometimes but other than that her lectures are enjoyable. She makes the class interesting--we had some great discussions. Papers are graded fairly. Easy B, work-for-it A.

I recommend taking her. If you need help go to her office. She's always there during her office hours and will help you out if you talk to her. I thought I was going to have a C but I ended up with a B.

Mrs. V is GREAT. She explains to the best of her ability and if you still need help, she sits down with you and helps you. Very sweet and comical. More teachers need to be like this!!

mrs v is a great teacher. The class period seems to fly by because the class discussions are interesting. She does require alot of writing and she hates bad grammar. She will help with anything if you are willing to ask for it.

Mrs. V is a great teacher. She is very helpful as long as you make an effort. She is very approachable and understanding. She is also opinionated so if you are not open minded you may not enjoy her as a teacher.

Ms V is really wonderful, she is funny and little bit crazy which i think is a good thing. She is very intelligent and passionate about literature and writing. If you have a problem she will help you work through it, especially if you meet her in her office. It is a 'work for it' A class though.

I loved Mrs. V. She is awesome. She is very helpful. The best way to make a good grade in her class is to go to her office when you need help. If you get to know her, she will be more sympathetic towards you. Dont have an attitude with her. Ever. She is sassy and doesnt like attitudes. Go to class, be respectful, and do your work.

Mrs. V is honestly one of my favorite professors at Tech. She curses like a sailor and does everything she can to make class as painless as possible. Very highly recommend taking her.

If you aren't the type to be interactive then i don't recommend her, but i am very interactive so i no doubt loved her and would take her again. She rocks. does grade hard but is very helpful. participate and you are set

I loved Mrs. Shuder! Her instructions were not always clear, so you can't be afraid of asking for help. Once you ask for help, she is very open to you. She has a dry, cynical sense of humor that I personally enjoyed. If you don't whine and do the work, you should be able to pass.

Overall a good teacher. A little weird but fun.

Mrs. V can be weird but is a great teacher who cares about her students. If you show her that you care about your grade she will like you and help you out. I recommend taking her! You write 3 essays a quarter, and that's about it!

A really good teacher, but she gets off subject really easy. She genuinely cares about each of her students. You can ask for feedback on your paper, & she will basically write it for you. She's a really tough grader, but all you have to do is 3 papers and a portfolio for each paper.

Mrs. V grades by rubric and writes detailed comments to explain what you did wrong and need to improve on.

If you do the work in her class you will get a good grade. If you just kind of go through the class with the "meh" mentality you will not learn anything and you will struggle to write papers

Ms.V is a tough grader because she knows what she wants. When writing, try to appeal to her interests because shes your audience. Shes very vocal about her views on things. Shes a teacher that cares once you get to know her. You only need the plagarism form tbh.

Professor Schuder understands if you are taking this class because you have too. She is very helpful on the giving feedback on the papers you write and really can improve your ability to write. Her grading is geared towards people who are new to writing papers and she genuinely hopes to help you improve.

I don't know how she has such a low rating; she's just a sarcastic, little hippy. As long as you speak up in class when she wants to have discussions, she will love you. Best advise: follow directions. She basically walks you through exactly how to write the paper. She can be a bit scattered, but just go with it; she's still a great teacher.

She was fun and enjoyable to listen to. She seemed to care more about content than technicality. I am a natural creative writer and I love analyzing poetry. My technical skills are lacking but my writing is creative and interesting. I participated to a T on the forums and all the analyzing work, made technical mistakes but made an A. AWESOME HIPPY

Professor Schuder is a good teacher. She enjoys teaching and has a passion for what we she does, and it shows. Mrs. Schuder expects a lot from you and grades accordingly. If you want to get a good grade, you will have to work for it. Overall, if you want to grow as a writer and person, take her. If you're lazy or want an easy A, avoid her.

She was the best teacher I've taken here so far. She is a hard grader, but she is pretty funny and pushes you to work hard and bring out your own creativity. I learned so many new techniques and the discussion atmosphere of the classroom made me feel included and helped with my work!

It breaks my heart to see so many bad things posted about her. She can be a little confusing or scattered every once in a while, but all you have to do is ask anything you need to know and she will be more than happy to help. Hell, I told her I didn't know how to write a story for her class and she gave the whole class a packet and help. She's good

This prof goes above and beyond to help students become better writers! She will work with you and give you detailed feedback. You can tell she has a passion for the subject and, as long as you put an effort into the class, she will work with you. I highly recommend!
