This is by far the best math teacher at SPC. Even though, I had to dropout (which was totally my fault due to work related issues), I will definitely choose him again as an instructor. He is very understanding and helpful. I highly recommended him.

Professor G is the best professor you can think of. Very smart and good mathematician. For each test he gives you test review and he goes over each question. Questions on the test is exactly the same from the review. If you don't get A in his class you didn't try at all. He curve test grade and always gives extra credit questions.

Great office hours, allows use of graphing calculator on exams. H.W. optional but gives credit. Great teaching style, he knows his subject! Offers exam reviews similar to exams. Patient, great sense of humor. Gautam is a hidden gem. I finally understood and enjoyed Pre-Calculus. I highly recommend him, just do the H.W. see office for help!

Math isn't an easy subject for me, but Professor Gautam made it easy! He really cares if you understand or not and he will go out of his way to help you! I found him on RateMyProfessor and I don't regret taking him! He's fabulous, funny and cute too! :)

Great online math class!! I did very good in this class, but I'm also a math expert. You get 2 tries on the quizzes and the finals are almost exactly the same as the practice that he provides. I think he is a great teacher, he gives plenty of opportunity to make-up your grade and he actually cares that you do well. TAKE HIM!!!!

Professor Gautam is such a great teacher! I took him online and he gives his students many opportunities to receive better grades. I definitely recommend him! There are quizzes every week that you can take up to two times and discussions every other week. He responds to emails within a day!

Best math teacher I have ever had. Doesnt tolerate talkinin class but will do anything to help student understand. Funny, very lenient. most quizzes on line, answers all questions and will be taking him again in the future.

Took Mr. G for statistics in Spring 2012 at Gibbs Campus. I am not at all a math person, he made this class somewhat painless. He is extremely helpful, and gives lots of additional chances to improve your grade. Highly recommended!!

Great teacher! He really works with students to make sure that they will pass. Math is not an easy subject for most. Math comes easy to me only when I have someone explain the concepts well and he did. If people need help hes there, and does give extra points if the whole class struggles. I wish I could take him again!

Professor Gautam very polite, really cared about his students grades and gave you a lot of chances to bring your grade up. Proctored Midterm & Final. Homework and tests was not overwhelming. I recommend Professor Gautam for Elementary Statistics.

Mr. G's very laid back and likable. The material can be challenging, but he's not a tough grader. Make sure you double check your graded test though because he makes mistakes sometimes. He gives out reviews that are very similar to the exams. If you do those and understand everything you'll ace every test! P.S You can download the textbook at TPB!

I took him online and it was great for a math class that I took twice before on campus at two different schools. Read your emails, do that mathlab over and over for practice because his quiz and test will mirror them and don't avoid him if your late or need help with work COMMUNICATE and he will work with you. I recommend him Good Luck :-)

Ask questions, it helps. He is passionate about the work he does. Home work on mymathlab, 25 question test all multiple choice. A review the class before (sometimes). Drops the lowest test grade. There's a total of 5 tests you take in the class. He's a good guy, very funny can go off topic sometimes but just to get you smiling.

Mr. G is the best math teacher i've ever had. Follow along and take notes in class, do the onine homework, and do the study guides for the tests and you'll do good! He is nice and funny but doesn't like when people talk in class, whch you shuldn't anyway.

This is a math class. If you follow the material, you should have no problem passing. Professor Gautam presents it in a way that is humorous and makes sense.

Great Professor! I would definitely recommend him! I was nervous about taking this course online, however he really wants you to succeed. He gives two opportunities to retake quiz to bring up your grade, including a grade curve on the proctored midterm & final exams. Very prompt on responding to email, and very encouraging!

Not a math person but I think I'll end up with an A. A lot of weekly work (of course) but it is not overly difficult. The chapter tests are annoying because the reviews are sooo long, then you have to do a follow-up, THEN the test. But it isn't terrible. He is very encouraging. Proctored exams with a formula card!

Professor Gautam I would recommend to everyone who hates math but has to take it. He is very helpful and with Statistics, since everyone has to take it, he makes it as easy as he can considering the course. Excellent teacher with a good sense of humor.

Took this as a hybrid class over the summer. Totally the best call I ever made. His notes help you with StatLab and he is very forgiving with deadlines. He opens up all material to give you a chance to redeem yourself on StatLab before the end of the semester. Study guides actually prepare you for your tests. He always helps out.

Online equals a whole lot of MyMathLab assignments. It can be overwhelming the amount of stuff on there plus teaching yourself. Totally doable though. He responds to emails and helps out. Focus on the reviews he gives you in mycourses for midterm and final because its pretty spot on the type of questions he will ask. Not hard just a lot of HW.

Prof. G is by far one of the best Professors in SPC. The way he explains math it really makes sense. He is very approachable and understanding. He is a hidden Gem.

If it weren't for how generous this professor graded this semester, I might be taking this class again in the fall. I am NOT a math person, and I decided to be brave and take this class online and in the summer! Professor Guatam was very good about answering e-mails and helping out. He really wants his students to succeed!

This guy is a must take. Although it was pretty tough for me, I definitely wouldn't have passed if it weren't for his generosity. He will warn you to not fall behind at the beginning of class or you will not pass (I fell behind lol) but he gave out two homework extensions throughout the semester to catch-up. Take him regular if possible.

Professor Gautam is by far the best online math teacher I have ever had! I was going through some tough times and I missed a few assignments quite often and he was totally understanding and would constantly help me out!! His homeworks were long and the quizes only 5 questions which was annoying but other than that HE IS THE BEST!!!!!!

Amazing Professor. I never thought I would find such an excellent professor at SPC. His lectures are great. I like how he knows the math crystal clear. I took him for differential equations this semester. I learned tons of real world applications. I did not know until I took Professor G that Math can be so powerful and useful in real world.

I had a great time during summer courses 2015. He is very helpful and will stay after class if you need additional help. He also makes himself available during his office hours. You need to study, though he's a great teacher, putting in the work is necessary. I would highly recommend.

I took him for blended online stats. Awesome professor! I have taken him for online College Algebra and now for Calc 1. Probably the best math instructor Ive had.

Midterm was alright, final was the hardest thing I have EVER taken and i studied straight for 3 days. Six modules with a test, practice quiz, and a discussion post due bi weekly. No homework for a grade. Had an A up until the final. But, in many situation he seems to care and does want you to succeed. Also is fairly good with answering emails.

very flexible about HW due dates. Tests are all multiple choice. study his reviews and do the homework and he's an easy A. He drops your lowest test score. I've taken him for three classes so far, and I plan on taking more if he's teaching them!! He understands that stuff is new, and will explain it to you--as a class-- in a very easy way(no fancy mathematical terms). Just an amazing professor!

This man is a gift to SPC! He is a physicist so he knows his stuff without having to read from slides like a robot. He is hilarious and kind. His tests mirror his reviews near perfectly, and he even takes the time to explain basic algebraic concepts to those who needed it. There is hardly any reason why anyone shouldn't earn an A. I didn't show up to class 50% of the time and I still got an A in the course. He was hilarious and made understanding the material easy. You need to teach yourself but he's always there for you. The only downfall would be that he goes over the material really fast . He provides guides and you get to have a notecard on the test!

Loved Professor G. He goes kinda fast but if you ask him to explain he will. He likes to joke around and make jokes with the material to help you learn. To me the content was easy-ish but the tests is what got me. Would recommend to take. and if you miss a test or HW he's willing to work with you.

This is the best Statistics/Calc professor iv ever had. Literally makes things so much easier to understand by teaching you how to use a calculator properly to get your answers. Very good explanations of whatever topic he is teaching. I would take his class over and over.

When you take Gautam's online class, it's like you're teaching yourself. You can email him if you have a question, but for the most part you're on your own, and that's probably how it is with all online classes. I don't mind math so I really liked that aspect, but if you feel like math isn't your strong suit don't try to take it with him online.

This was the only math class I've ever actually gotten an A in. There is a TON of homework each week, but it does help to know the material on the test. He goes over the study guide for the tests and they are exactly like the tests. He always curves the final test grades as well. Never really took attendance.

The best math teacher I ever had. Amazing lectures, caring, good vibes, makes things more simple and very helpful if you are having trouble understanding. I took stats and will definitely take his calculus class next semester.

Professor G is so funny and makes sure you're not falling asleep during his lectures. In a good way! There's not a ton of homework, and study guides are practically the test. His tests range from 20-25 questions, and the final was 30 questions. He drops your lowest test score and assures you understand the work. Study! He helps with calculator use.

Only peeve is that the mid and final are weighted insanely heavy. That being said this man is an absolute saint! I am NOT great w math but I've taken him for all 3 classes. Lots of homework, videos, tutoring prompts, links, instructions like ALL of it. Fr this is math for those who hate math. Vibhor will literally get a Xmas card from me!

I suck at math so I was terrified to take STAT, especially online. I quickly learned that JUST BECAUSE YOU SUCK AT MATH DOESN'T MEAN YOU WILL SUCK AT STAT. Stat is very different and I found it much easier than algebra or calc! Great professor, very encouraging. Midterm/Final are 70% of grade though so make sure you study. Not too much HW either

The absolute BEST stats professor. I took stats at FSU my first time and FAILED. I took it at SPC with this professor and got an A+. He explains things perfectly and is super nice. Before the midterm, I put together every question I have ever gotten wrong on homework and quizzes, and he went through ALL of them with me. Super helpful... an ANGEL

Professor G has great lectures. They're really helpful, so be sure to attend those. He's nice and he cracks dad jokes. He explains things very well. As long as you study the material to a degree, you can do very well in this class.

Class is very easy to pass if you do your work. There is homework and a quiz due almost every Sunday at midnight and then there is a module test that goes over everything about every other week or so (6 total). Test questions are provided BEFORE you even take the tests. There are 2 exams. Exams are almost identical to tests! Very easy class!

He was a pretty nice guy and did a good final review. Also gave a lot of extra credit and also curved out the final which was really nice. The professor does write on the whiteboard to give you all the information and picks problems from the ALEKS textbook, so it's sometimes a bit hard to understand what he writes. But is willing to help you!

He was a good professor! Made the class really fun, was super easy to work with if you didnt do an assignment. The class was also really easy, it was basically just algebra 1 all over again. But he explained it all very well. Strict about phones, but thats it.

Funny Professor, keeps you engaged with the dry content. Makes jokes and tries to keep the mood light. He will go the extra mile to make sure questions are answered and you understand the content. You will learn to hate Stat Lab.

I've always been anxious taking math classes but he made the class fun. All the chapters he shows how to work out the problems using the formulas and calculator functions which save you a lot of time during the homework/tests. Also, do the midterm and final reviews they are very similar to the exams and help a lot.

Overall good easy teacher especially for me who struggles in math. Homework and quizzes are graded on separate website have assignments due every week. Tests, midterm, and final on mycourses online. Pay attention in person classes as much as you can because his lectures can be all over the place sometimes so take good notes.

This is my second time taking statistics because the first class i took was horrible. This professor actually made me understand statistics and lectured very well. This class was very well structured but it can be easy to fall behind if u don't keep up. Overall it was pretty easy if u pay attention and i would recommend to others.

Very good and caring professor that wants to see his students succeed. Truly cares to see his students understand what they are being taught. Mainly test grades but they are average difficulty and he grants partial credit. He works out all problems on the board himself. Not a PowerPoint teacher.

Professor Vibhor Gautam makes statistics engaging. While the midterm and final are weighted heavily, using tools like unstuckstudy alongside the textbook helped me stay on top of the material. Overall, it's a manageable course if you're willing to put in the work.

My favorite math professor at SPC! Prof. G is generous with homework and exams. His lectures are engaging and really help you learn difficult concepts. I took him for Calc 1, Stat, and Calc 3. Pretty good with responding to email and encourages you to ask questions during lecture. He does have a bit of an accent and is fast-paced. Very manageable!
