Vicki is an excellent instructor. The technical speaking class is a good course for anyone who has a lot or little of speaking experience. You will learn some good skills that you can use in all areas of life. Vicki was always very helpful and if you put the effort in you will get a good mark.

Speech 2003 tech presentation delivery. There were a lot of hands on rather than textbook, which I found extremely useful to learn presentation delivery techniques. She's candid yet professional. I really enjoyed the class.

Amazing professor. Bubbly, so informative & such a fun class. Really easy to approach, answers emails quickly and will help you to succeed any way she can. LOVE this class and highly recommend.

Vikki genuinely cares about her students, whether it is academically, or personally. She is full of energy and smiles. She made class fun and interesting to attend. You never knew what she had up her sleeve for the day. I would highly recommend her.

She's a good teacher but this is a really easy course was well. You do 5 speeches, I midterm (took 10 mins) and some outlines. All you have to do is show up to class listen to what she says and you'll get an A-. A+ is extremely hard because in that department you have to get 95% or over for that. Overall a slack course.

I took the 3000 level with Viki and the 2001 with someone else. I learned a lot in the 3000 course. It is not easy but she makes it possible to get a good mark if you try hard. Viki makes the lectures really interesting to listen to.

Love her. She is a real sweetheart.

Finally, a prof who knows how to teach! She related to us as real people, communicated in such a way that made us actually care about the material and gave meaningful advice on how to do better. I have never seen a prof that really seemed to love teaching. I loved going to this class even though it was at 8 am on a Friday morning.

I had Vicky in my last semester. After being a student for 5 years, and switching programs mid-way, this class was the most memorable of all of them. Vicky is great and she went beyond the call of duty by helping me outside of class too with some stuff I had going on in my personal life. I am pretty sure that wasn't part of her job description.

Vicki rocks! 6 speeches of varying length throughout, but she's super chill about the marking of them. As long as you cover her points in her outline, you'll get a good grade. Got much more out of her feedback post-speeches than any other class - improved my public speaking immensely. Also, her classes are super fun and engaging. Fun icebreakers!

She's amazing! A really kind person, and does not give very much homework at all. I looked forward to going to her class because not only did you get to improve your own speaking skills, you also go to listen to the other kids talk about what they enjoy. For the 5 Question midterm, she gave us the questions and the answers, so easy.

Vicki is amazing. As long as you show up and do the speeches you're asked to do, it's a guarenteed A, but it's worth showing up anyway because she's got a LOT of great tips, and she's pretty entertaining in the process. If you're gonna take a speech class, take it with her. Accept no substitutes.

You will learn a lot in class especially confidence in public speaking. She gives good feedback. She creates her class where everyone cheer each other up. Easy A if you put effort.

Vicki was the coolest prof I've ever met. She lets out class early, doesn't give homework, and really relates to students. One thing I didn't like is that she doesn't do powerpoints, all her notes come from her head, so if you're not listening closely or miss a class, other than talking to someone else, theres no way of getting that information.

I liked Vicki a lot. I had not had her previously but I came to really enjoy her classes. You must show up for classes as your participation grade rides on it and being present on your assigned speech date. She seems intimidating at first but she is such a great professor I would take her class over again if I could. Take a speech class with her!

Very engaging. Quirky. Lots of exercises in each class so don't be shy! BB is never updated. She grades your speech right away on paper. I think she would make her life easier if she input the grades in Blackboard the same day she gave the grades out. No powerpoints, no textbook. You need to be in class otherwise you're screwed for the final.

Favorite class and prof.

Took a summer class with Vicky over Zoom and it was perfect. I was expecting a speech class to be pretty bad online but it was really fun. We did some presentations over Zoom and some we had to tape ourselves. She made the classes interesting and useful. She is a really caring person and shes funny. I loved Vicky!

Vicki is one of Mru's best profs in my opinion. She has taught me real life skills in terms of how to present and techniques that I believe will be beneficial in the future. She is a caring person and wants all of her students to do well. I would highly reccommend her to anyone!

Vicky is the best. This was my 3rd class with her. At first I was a bit scared of her, but you realize quite quickly how honest and funny she really is. In the second class I observed her care and compassion for us and how badly she wanted her students to be great speakers. She is smart and creative. In this third class, honestly I just love her.

Vicki is a sweetheart! You do need to show up for the lectures, but she makes them light and fun. She cares more that you take something practical out of her class that you can use in your own life, than shoving the course requirements down your throat. Easy grader, makes expectations very clear, allows you to re-do assignments.

Vicki is one of the kindest professors I have ever had! I learned so much in her class. Her instructions are clear, she is very understanding and always there to help. Attendance is mandatory but 100% worth it as her lectures are always fun and relatable. There is group work, but the assignments are not difficult to do. Loved this class!

Vicki's one of the best profs I've had during my university career at 3 different universities. Being inundated with content in other classes, I liked how Vicki shared the course content. I feel like I learned useful skills while still having fun. She's funny too and I appreciated that she made everyone feel like they are important.

One of the best experience I had in the school thanks to her. She is caring, very fast emailing you back if you have questions. The book though is expensive and I had to purchase the e-text instead of the physical one, wish I have that.

EVERYONE DESERVES A VICKI IN THEIR DEGREE. She is the best prof to take any speaking class with - she sets you up for success and allows you many accommodations to achieve the grades you want. It is very clear that she cares more to empower her students with the content than to penalize students with grading.
