I took her internet class which was very interesting. The topics she throws out are very thought-provoking. Not an easy class but the challenge is worth it.

This is the best class I have taken in college. Ms. Marie loves teaching the course and knows a lot about culture. She helped me find extra information about my culture. She's fair and I am learning a lot.

She is easy and fun. Her class goes by fast, but you have to do a project all semester that takes up a LOT of your time, and the project is worth half the grade, so if you have an A going into the project due date, and your project sucks you could get an F

I can't believe how much I like this class. I was so scared to take a speech class. Mrs. Marie makes it fun and she helps me with my speeches. She knows I am scard and she makes me feel confident.

She gives a ton of homework, but a ton of extra credit as well. She says no late work, but that is not true. She works with you to help get a good grade. She does demand respect though, get on her bad side, and you'll know about it. I really like her and I'll probably take her agian.

About 2 monthes before class I recieved her mass emailed syllabus. I was scared by the amount of work read all of the books before class started and started on class materials before class started. The only thing that saved me was that I was prepared. tests from the texts. Everything else is "discussed" in class. Lots of work, but good class.

Great teacher! If you really want to prepare yourself for the future take her because she is awesome. She really wants you to learn how to talk in front of people. I took her online class and you would meet up when you have a speech to do. Take her! You won't regret it!

I took her class last semester. she is the best teacher I have ever had. If this wasn't my last semester I would take every class from her. And she cares about you.

Her small group communicaition class is heckafun. You play lots of group games and challenges. she lays everything out. If you follow it you will get an A.

Vickie Marie is great. I took her speech class online and her intercultural communication class. Follow the course outline and the examples and ask for help if you need it. I thought the class was easy but mostly it was extremeley interesting.

She is one of the friendliest, coolest most open teacher I have had at Delta! The toughest thing in this class was the ethnography on another culture, but if you pick a culture that interests you, then it wont suck. You have 4 tests (can have 3X5 notecard), and a bunch of easy hw! You learn and talk about really important subjects, take this class!

I dropped Speech class twice before I took it from her. VM makes feel confident and she makes it fun. I didn't even think I would ever finish this course but I am getting an A.

Cool teacher. You have to do three-two page ethnography's. It sounds hard, but it's not. There is a lot of EXTRA CREDIT, so even if you do poorly on the test or reports you can still pass. Also the test can be done in groups of 5...cool.....

I just got back from a trip to Europe. I used everything I learned in this class. Loved the class because it makes you want to meet everyone around the world. Loved the teacher.

Best teacher at Delta College. Ms Marie maps out the speech making process and even teaches you the "puca shake" to get rid of your nerves. If you think speech class is going to be torturous, give Ms Marie a try. She'll make a believer out of you!

Really cool teacher. It seems like a lot of work in her class but it really isn't. There's 4 exams and 3 mini enthography. She give lots of extra credit. This class keeps you interested with the topics.

Ms. Marie is very considerate and gives you plenty of chances to make up work.

Whomever said she treats this class as if it is a graduate level course is seriously out of tune. She is a great teacher and offers lots of extra credit so even if you do horrible on the tests but do all the rest of the work its an easy class to pass with an 80% or a B. Take her online but just keep an open mind about different cultures.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with the level of work in this class... you guys are just plain slow or lack the skills required in college if you think this is too much work or that she is a tough grader. It is true however she will give you a bad grade but only if you earned that grade. There is so much opportunity in this class to get an A!!!!

Awesome teacher.. Very organized and helpful with assisting her students. If you stay on top of the class assignments and follow her instructions you will easily get a "A" in her class. She provides lots of oportunity for extra credit assignments. She strives to make sure all her students suceed. Learned a lot about myself and many other cultures.

i loved her class. she is a fun teacher, as long as you pay attention and do your hw and do the extra credit you will do good. I did not do too good on my test but i did all the extra credit and i passed with a B....i recommend her!!!

I am currently in her online class. Not very clear at all. If you have fear of public speaking, shes not very comforting. The test are hard, unnecessarily out of order.I have a high B currently. I'm very disappointed in this class, i was looking forward to it. Her instructions are confusing. PS. everyone Ive talked 2 from class agrees with me.

She is an amazing instructor. I'm taking her online class and she went out of her way to help me on my Ethnography. Not many at Delta College would do that for you.

She's really positive and encouraging. I was really dreading this class but it has been much more fun than I expected. The online class works well if you work because you only meet a couple times a month.

The ecollege platform was not my favorite by any means. But I dreaded taking a speech class like most people do. Mrs. Marie is an excellent teacher. She makes the students feel comfortable and does not grade harshly due to nervousness. Any time extra guidence was needed she was able to lend a helpful hand. Take this class.

Very interesting teacher. Definitely has the background in intercultural Studies to teach on the subject. She wants you to succeed, however I did find her teaching style to be an on your own approach. I did take the class online however, that may have had a bit to do with that.

Great summer class; jammed-packed with information. Prof is very interactive and offers to help at every turn.

I am taking university courses concurrenly with Delta classes. This class was equally challenging and interesting and especially practical in today's world. Ms Vickie was jonny-on-the-spot every time I asked for help on the ethnography term paper. I was hesitant about the term paper but it turned out the be very enlightening.

Had this teacher a long time ago. She really made an impression on me and I want to take another class from her but she is no longer in the catalog.

Marie is in my topthree teachers at delta. Every class has something interesting and there are interesting exercises that make the topic more personal. She gets your papers back to you in one class time and she´sfunny and nice.

I understand how some can say she is rude. She's nice, but can be randomly strict. She really hates answering questions that she's already answered or has written in her extra materials book. That being said, she seems to be an easy grader - or I had brilliant classmates.

Ms. Marie's class is hecka fun. We all know each other and she is really positive and supportive.

This is THE professor you want for your speech classes! Mrs. Marie was very helpful and motivating when it came to getting up in front of the class to give speeches. As long as you do what you are asked, you will do great. It may even become your favorite class, it absolutely became mine!

she is a awesome teacher. Understand the issues, teaches with Passion, respect. She give really good extra credit assignments that you can choose from. You must follow exactly when it comes to the term paper she assigns . Test are not that hard. the term paper is a big part of your grade. make sure you do the Discussions

In 2013 I was attacked in the stairwell. I reported the incident to the campus police but nobody ever contacted me to see if I was OK. Ms. Marie was the only person who seemed conserned. She referred me to a counselor and checked with me the next few weeks to see if I was OK. I did like her class but mostly I appreciated her humanity.

Great professor! Be ready to read and learn. Be engaged in discussions and plan for your term paper. You work for what you get.

This was a great class. The prof has been teaching this class for a long time. She travels and is able to give true-life examples. I took this class online, there is a lot of reading, and the weekly discussions require time and participation, but she's a good teacher who wants you to succeed in the class. I learned a lot, and know it will be information that will excel me in my career.

Cultural Com and Ms Marie were my favorite class and teacher. I love the subject and the way she teaches. My major is early education and she has the characteristics of a good teacher; she participates in class, she provides clear explanations of the assignments, she uses repitition. and she is available if you need.
