Great !! very entertaining

Made me learn without even knowing it until I was tested on the material. She was nice and funny and didn't waste time.

Very interesting teacher. Her tests are clear and short. She does not waste your time reading the entire book in class. She lets class out early, let's just say that she only teaches what the class needs to know no nonsense. listening + good notes= an"A" in her class. I have taken her twice.

She is extremely helpful and understanding of life in general and doesnt lose sight of that in her teaching. She's very smart and takes you on a journey and all you have to do to do well in her class is listen and pay attention.

Excellent teacher. She makes the subject material interesting and fun. There's a lot of wrinting though, and she isn't easy on grading. But she seems to really care about students and what they learn. I got a lot out of the class.

When you take her class, you'll understand why students call her "the goddess." The woman is highly intelligent, humorous, inspirational, and makes the class fun--and she aint hard on the eyes, either! I enjoyed her class and improved my writing by taking her comp classes and American Lit. Great!

Known as "The Goddess" this professor is highly intelligent, funny, caring and a true teacher! Doesn't live to grind down students and understands that we have lives outside of the classroom! If you don't take her classes, it'll be your loss! She's not called "the goddess" for nothing...take one of her classes & you'll be hooked!!!!!!!

I liked this teacher for ENC1101 and ENC1102+ AML2020 but had to work VERY hard. We had alot of papers in the comp classes and she's NOT a easy grader. But she's fair and communicates very clear and is funny.But DONT be late for class or with your papers!She won't accept that!!!

She is the best english teacher to have. She takes time to review basic skills,gets involved with class discussions. You only write about 3 papers. Her finals are just easy grammer skills, bout 10?'s. You get out of class extra early. In ENC1102 u mainly watch videos and do 3 papers incl.the reasearch. U should get no lower than a B in her class.

I don't think I learned to much but I did pass with an A. She was so easy! Everyday we get a 20 min story of her life. Then a 10 min learning session and your out the door. And I thought English was hard?!?!?!?!?

The person who bragged they got an "A" had misspellings in his rating--so I doubt it! I've taken her class and have seen her fail people and give them "D"s. She's a cool teacher, but she doesn't play either. Turn in stuff that's mispelled or badly written and she'll slam you. I got an A but I worked hard for it.

Jesus! What a bunch of whiners! If the guy below can't get an A on a 10 question test, then HE sucks! Prof. Scheurer is a terrific teacher, and PBCC is lucky to have her, but she doesn't play. She gives you what you earn. Quit crying and take some responsibility for yourself. I got an A.

i can't beleive some of the students that post here are in college....Lord unbeleivable. This woman is the best teacher ever. grow up people we are no longer in highschool....I think Pbcc should get this woman to teach other teachers on how to be a good teacher...and stop whining college life isn't easy.

What a nice Lady. She is flexible to a point as long as you dont plagerize(trust me i've seen these people try):-( its not pretty. You should listen because you will learn something, even if it's not english. Other than that its a piece of cake.

Very nice lady, great sense of humor. But you have to know how to write well or is goiing to be really hard to pass the class.

good teacher. u get out of class early. not strict on attendance. final paper was a piece of cake. her quizzes arent too bad. just remember the authors' works, gender, and themes. def a 1st round pick for any english class!

What a sweetheart! I love this teacher. She is my favorite of all-time. Great teacher, you are always interested and feel so comfortable with her. She is understands that students have a life and she tries to make college as comfortable as possible. Her classes go fast because she is an AMAZING teacher and deserves a raise!

I thought this class would be boring and hard. Yet, the professor was great. She's very helpful, kind, understanding, and funny too. "Test" were easy, as long as you took notes in class and studied them. I greatly recommend taking this class with professor Scheurer. Easy A!!!

She was excellent + very fair but you have to do the work. People who rate her bad must of failed because they didn't work at it and couldn't write a good paper. Hey this is college! She doesn't give out As.There's so much this lady teaches and she's very funny and very real. It's not always easy but nobody is more fair and helpful.

Really easy class. Not alot of work, a couple quizes and, an oral report. She also lets you out early.

Easy class. She let us out early a lot of times. Rarely used the books, so don't bother buying them if you can borrow 'em off your friend. You'll only use it a couple times a semester. Easy papers, mostly one pagers. The occasional 2 page papers, maybe twice. REALLY EASY CLASS.

Her class was super easy! All she did was sit there and talk about life in general and sometimes made anecdotes about the actual material. She made the material fun and easy to learn. No notes, no stupid busy work, and we didnt even use the book! just like 2 tests and 1 big paper due at the end. EASY A!!! TAKE HER!!!!

This professor is very knowlegable and interesting. She has a very great style of explaining and is helpful, but we had a report, 2 exams,a final paper + had to read the stories and know themes + characters ect.She's fair but gives few A's! And if you plagerize your final paper, your dead meat!LOL!

She is VERY nice ... its not a class you go stressing about and hoping that shes not there today... She has fun topics to write about -As long as you do your assignments she's cool with it. She is super nice and super easy. Defiently take her! Class is usually only 30-45min and sometimes she doesn't show. She's really cool and talks about life and relates to her students. The books are not needed so don't even buy them. She wants to see you do good and be successful...love her.

Class was cut early everyday. Didn't even open my text, i dont know why i even bought it. Her class seems very easy until you write a paper and you are almost guaranteed a B or C, well unless your a proofreader. Just write ENGLISH and you'll pass... Shes pretty funny though. And she isn't a man hater, I got a B

I felt compelled to rate Ms. Scheurer because anyone taking her class must understand that 9 times out of 10, the day WILL be cut short. She has a great personality, teaches well, and answers all of your questions. Still, I don't to pay full price for half of a class.

I have taken 2 classes with this professor and think she's the best teacher I ever had.She taught me more then anybody about the authors, stories + themes and made us think.She doesn't give easy grades.But if you read the assigments you do very well. I think she's awesome. Students who complain + write bad stuff on her are just the lazy loafers.

I went to class maybe a third of the time and got a B. I did very little studying, only thing I had to work on was one presentation. Easy B, annoying A. This class was a great relief from my other classes.

She is my hero in disguise. I have taken two classes with her and both were honor classes. If there is anything better than the best, she has to be that! She talked about life and reality more than the text book topics, and all that she talked about were eye opening. I's a dual enrollment student, but for her classes I was never a bit tired.

OF COURSE U LEARN FROM TALKING AND WATCHING OTHER PPL REPORTS (WHICH U CAN DO FROM UR SEAT)! EASIEST HONORS CREDIT. HAD HER ON THURSDAYS 6:30-9:15 AND SHE DISMISSED US AT 7:30. TAKE HER!!

I don't think you'll find an American Lit class on campus worth staying awake in unless you take Vicki Scheurer's class. She's the best and the easiest. You'll pass and you'll learn. My GPA is higher because of this class. Don't miss out because her classes fill up quick.

SHE IS THE BEST!! She makes class fun and interactive. i hate english and all that grammer stuff but she really helps you break it down so you can get it. Also you dont have to write your hand off in her class. She grades papers very strictly but after you understand what you did wrong.

This professor is really passionate about what she teaches. When she tells you about a story and an author, she makes you feel like you are in that story. Will take again!

Ms. Scheurer is the sweetest professor I've ever known. She deeply cares about her students and it shows. She treats you like an ADULT so you must take the initative to read in her class, she does not baby you with endless reading/writing assignments. What you learn is your decision. I recommend her if you want a relaxed classroom environment.

This professor has taught me more about literature then any teacher I've had. She teaches life lessons thru the stories + poems, but you have to read the assignments. I wish she would teach Math and Science! She's a remarkably gifted teacher.

I'm just finishing the most wonderful literature class with Prof Schuerer. I never liked literature until her class, but she helped me so much and is understanding with students. I'm an older student, coming back for a degree, and I'm SO happy I've found this teacher. I wish she taught ALL my classes. I would never drop out with teachers like her!

One word.. AWESOME...I didn't care for reading or literature until this class. Now I love learning reading the early authors. Prof Scheurer is so much fun and makes class enjoyable. Just do your readings and speak intelligently about the authors and you'll be fine.

If you're taking this class I honestly think that you should take her class no matter what time it is at. She is very intresting and a helpful teacher. There are only about 3 essays for the whole semester and you know about it weeks before you actually have to do it. She is probably one of the best teachers here and you'll enjoy her class.

She always lets us out early and only gives 3 papers to write the whole semester. She doesn't give any homework and reviews how to use commas and sentence structures at the beginning of the semester.

Great professor. Very easy if you know your punctuation. only gives 3 essays which are not that hard. Great class. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

She is very thorough with teaching punctuation and sentence structure. However, if writing is not your strong suit you should stay farrr away from this class because she will pick your papers apart like nobodys business. I am a good writer myself and the highest I got on her papers is a B+. I do think she is a very easy and chill teacher though.

College is expensive on all levels. Professor Vicki helps out by bringing snacks! She cares about her students and the education the receive. Ask her the same question multiple times, she'll answer with a smile every time. You have to be dedicated because she does have high expectations so be prepared to work. She grades on a +/-. Phenomenal woman.

OMG I loved this teacher and class even tho I'm not usually a great English student. This teacher is very inspiring, makes you really think and loves her subject. She is very respectful to students and Its the only class I looked forward to. I wish all my teachers would learn from her!!!

She is very friendly and funny, and a pretty laidback grader as well, at least in the honors class. Our grades were based on one take home quiz, one paper, and one presentation where we basically just talk about a couple author's stories. She does go on her liberal rants sometimes , but also cancels class often and gives us food. Overall awesome.

My VERY favorite professor in the world! I wish she could teach Math and Chemistry. She was very real and funny and fair in grading. She likes papers to be handed in on time but she was always there for students. She cares and is the BEST. If you can take her class JUST DO IT!!!

This was a great class at PBSC. The teacher made the class fun and I learned more about writing than I ever thought I would because I never liked the subject. I really enjoyed her book of student essays. She was very patient and understanding and never embarassed anyone and wanted us to get good grades. GREAT CLASS + GREAT TEACHER

She wants all her students to do well and to enjoy her class. I like the way she grades your papers, you receive a grade for the content and a grade for the way it was written. The only homework is really papers but you're usually allowed to choose the topics.

Professor Vicki is one of a kind. Most of the time in class is spent discussing concepts of literature and how they relate to us as students. She is an awesome speaker and I left class feeling inspired everyday. She grades fairly and gives great feedback on papers (which account for most of your grade). If you get the opportunity, take her!

Most of class is kind of spent with her talking about random things. She talks a lot, and it could get boring. But when it comes to teaching, she makes sure everyone in the class understands what she's teaching. Minimal work. If you want to take a writing class that you won't fail, take this one!! We do only 5 essays the whole semester.

Professor Scheurer was so kind and understanding. Only had a few essays and THEY ARE EASY! Basically creative writing for all of them. No research papers!! Gives out lots of hand-outs but helpful if you want to do them. Few (2-3) quizzes that are EASY if you've been to class and understand the concepts. Goes over the same thing many times for help

Professor Scheurer was so great for my first time taking classes at PBS. I took her class as a dual enrollment student and I was a bit nervous going in, but this course was so easy. She's very understanding and caring and only gave 3 creative writing essays. I learned what I needed to, while also feeling at peace with the workload. Recommend!

Amazing professor, her lectures are very clear and the feedback is always great. She is very clear and funny, she is very objective when it comes to grading and will give you nice and clear feedback on things you should improve.

MY FAVE!! She is the BEST, I wish she had an ENC1102 when I needed to take it in my second semester. She gives great feedback on the papers that you hand in and is overall just such a great professor. Took her my 1st semester of college and was nervous, but with her you do not have to be! Such an easy A.

Professor Vicki cares about our grades—such a loving and caring professor. She was not strict in attendance. All of the assignments are on paper. Most of the essays you will write are about 1st person stories, but super short essays. We wrote three essays throughout the whole semester. Would definitely retake her class again!!!!!!

I loved her. She's such a compassionate and funny professor. The assignments were easy to complete, and the topics she chose were easy to talk about. She never asked for more than 300 words. I would 100% pick her again.

She is amazing. She explains everything so well, and if you are confused about anything, she will go over it again. She is very nice and a great teacher. You really just have to attend the class and complete the assignments that she covers. Once in a while, you'll get an essay you have to write on your own time.
