Mrs. Gatewood is one of my favorit math teachers at TCC Northwest. She actualy takes the time to work with you after class and in her office. Very helpful, and I've followed her for about three classes.

AWESOME teacher! Helps anytime you need it. Very clear and precise. If you are someone who math does not come easy to, I would definetly recommend her.

She managed to get me through algebra so she must be good ! I can't say I enjoyed her class because I hate math but she did her best to break things down and help us to understand. The exams were hard but I would still recommend her as she is very helpful and a very nice person. She also managed to have some fun with us which helped us to relax.

If you dont want to study ALOT then DONT take this teacher. Her final is comprehensive and isn't even multiple choice. There is no way to pass this class unless you study your ass off. Also if you have a 89... dont think that she will bump you up to an A! because she wont

She is the nicest teacher at TCC!!! She is great if you are a VERY SLOW LEARNER. She teaches like her students are in first grade, which can be very helpful, or very frustrating if you already get the material. I was a little frustrated because we did move kind of slow, but she was still great.

Mrs. Gatewood is an awesome math teacher! She is extremely nice and wants all of her students to succeed in math and is willing to do whatever she can to help you. She assigns alot of practice problems however there not taken for a grade and they really do help make it easier to understand the specific type of problems your working on in class

Prof. Gatewood is an excellent teacher. She will help in any way possible. On tests she gives credit anywhere she can to help you get points. So if you don't get the right answer, she doesn't count the whole problem wrong. I hated math but she made it bearable. Her reviews are very similar to tests also. She is very nice! DEFINITELY take her! there are one or 2 homeworks a week but theyre relatively easy, and if you dont want to buy the book they have one avial. to check out in the library, which is what i did!

Definitely take this teacher if you have to take ANY math class. She goes over every thing very well and really cares about her students. Ive taken the same class about 4 times with different teachers and passed hers the first time with an A. I will only take another math class if she is teaching it.

To give you an idea how much I love professor Gatewoods class, I arrange all my other studies around her schedule. Math is my one hard subject but she is such an amazing teacher I passed with A's. She is so organized and you can tell she really cares for her students.

College algebra seems hard but she made it soooooooo easy and crystal clear. she is very nice and helpful. I took her in Summer-2 in 2010 & I made A in summer class. She goes over the stuff from 0350 class also,if you haven't took that class. She is very nice. I ask her one question 4 times in class but never get upset and goes over and over.

Easy, funny, and helpful

Math is NOT for every one, but Mrs. G. takes a difficult subject and makes it as easy as it possibly could be made; for even the least excited student to catch on. I had her for three semester's with three different math classes, she is truly Awesome/Amazing! I made it through because of the way she teaches. I saw her at Graduation Friday night! :D

I was failing this class last year at NE campus, so I dropped it. Now I am getting A.Her homework is not mymathlab on computer. It is 10 questions directly from text book. She will give you test review and real exam is similar to review.Exams are not multiple choice. She'll give you partial credit. If you hate math, take her. You will be changed.

She is one of the easiest math teachers I've ever had. She takes it at a pace anyone can get it. She is always avaliable for her students and she obviously enjoys math. If you're capable at math, her pace may frustrate you a little just because she caters more to those who are having difficulty with math. Not a bad thing.

Is one of the best math teachers I know because she loves her subject and wants her students to understand it so that other people will enjoy math the way she does. Very fun and the material is pretty easy, especially the way she explains it.

Mrs. Gatewood made me fall in love with Math all over again ;-) If you, are not that strong in Math, I strongly recommend her as your instructor for Math 0302/0304/0350! She teach with clarity different techniques in solving problems. Homeworks are mandatory, no quizzes! We had 6 Tests and Final Exam. Extremely helpful with student(s)too.

Holy cow! Like she really needs any more praise, but I am blown away by how wonderful her class is. I flunked Algebra and now have a 99 in her Statistics class. Go to class and she will explain everything you need to know in the sweetest and funniest way. She is crystal clear. If you have to take Math, take her Statistics class, it's a breeze.

One of the most helpful teachers I've had. Responded to e-mails quickly and gave extra time when needed. She even opened up old assignments to work on when I didn't understand the criteria in order to achieve a better grade. Tests were over the right material, no surprises. Would take another class of hers if I needed another math credit.

Gatewood is one of the best professors I've had by far. She's willing to help, kind, and very good at what she does. Unfortunately, I took this class online for trig so it was hard for me to stay focused. She is the head of the math department at NW. She also drops one test grade out of 4 and drops 6 HW grades out of 30-ish. I RECOMMEND HER!

Took Mrs. Gatewood for a Maymester Statistics class. She was wonderful! I have been dreading statistics for years and she got me through with no tears. Explains things thouroughly, gives excellent notes in class which she posts to blackboard right after class. Test reviews are same type of problem as on the actual test. Awesome Teacher!

Mrs. Gatewood is an amazing professor for an online math class. She always has your back, as long as you explain your circumstances. I highly recommend Mrs. Gatewood because she is speedy to reply to emails and extremely helpful and flexible with your schedule! I'm sure she is a great teacher in the classroom as well.

Professor Gatewood is so helpful, understanding and doesn't judge you for not knowing the steps on how to do the problems. If needed she will show you step by step. She is very understanding if you can't turn it in by the deadline she will extend the homework for you. All you have to do is communicate with her. She will help as much as she can.

I took her online course. The first half of the semester I was doing great, but I think towards the end I just got burnt out and could't find the motivation to work on MyMathLab any longer. I made an A in Calculus but Trigonometry just isn't my thing. Needless to say, Gatgewood is super nice and always willing to work with you, gives HM extensions

Teacher is best online teacher I have had. Algebra is unfortunately very hard after not taking it for a long time. If you put in the effort you will still pass no problem but starts off hard.

Math scares me half to death she works with you, drops a test grade and 3 homework assignments. She makes math so much easier, the lessons may seem hard, but she changes it into an easier step-by-step. On test if you get a question wrong she still gives you points if you show your work. She made math less stressful and I'm horrible in this subject.

She is an amazing teacher! I took her for a maymester, and although there is a lot of homework, she drops three of them and one test grade. Professor Gatewood is the absolute best teacher I have ever had. She knows when the class begins to struggle, so all you have to do is ask her to open a homework back up and she will. She cares a lot about your future, and is a great person to vent to if you are stressed out. Don't assume she is weird, she's only trying to make it fun.

Fairly easy online class. Homework tends to be repetitive but it prepares you for the tests. Four tests (lowest score is dropped) & comprehensive final. Test reviews are helpful. Ms. Gatewood is easy to reach by e-mail and nice. The second half of the semester is more difficult, expect to spend a little more time on it. Highly recommend!

Professor Gatewood Is the BEST ONLINE Statistics teacher. Honestly, this course alone is tough no doubt. As long as you finish do your homework and her test reviews you will be successful on your tests. We did not use the book, but we needed the access code. Math isn't my strongest subject, but she makes it really easy to comprehend and if you don't understand something she will go over it with you until you understand. She knows how to solve problems in many ways. Has a joke/story almost every single class, and it will make you giggle.

I have failed stats 3 times!!! Finally 4th is the charm and it took a professor like Gatewood to reach different learning styles for me to pass with a B! I actually enjoyed this class, she is very accessible, drops lowest test grade and drops 5 lowest HW grades. Watch the videos or power points, do your HW, test reviews and you should be fine!

I took this online during the summer. She drops the lowest test grade and the final is comprehensive. She is available to help and she answers emails quickly. Lots of homework assignments but they help to learn the material.

Coming from someone who sees math as a foreign language, Mrs. Gatewood was the only professor that I was ever able to learn something from. I HIGHLY recommend her.

I passed elementary and intermediate algebra by 2 points with other professors; with Prof. Gatewood, I passed college algebra with a high B and didn't study much at all. She is extremely caring, believes in everyone's ability to learn math, and welcomes students to study near her office so she can help. I cannot recommend her highly enough!

It was my first semester in college and Im glad I had Professor Gatewood. She moves at a steady rate, gives time to ask questions. She teaches you everything clearly and tries really hard to make the classes not boring. She also gives review packets before the exams. If youre taking College Algebra, I suggest you take her!

Gatewood grades tests fairly, for the homework there is a lot but she gives you enough time for all of them to get the work done. She does notes in class that are very helpful study tools and homework help.

I took Mrs. Gatewood for the NEW combo class for 362 and 1314.I AM SO BAD at math like learning disabilities get in my way bad. This was my 4th time taking 0362, Right now, I'm passing both classes! She is beyond amazing and has sat with me at her office 4 Days/hrs helping me. Take this class if you're horrible at math, its hard but she will help!!

This instructor is very professional, answers your questions quickly, and is always available to help you. I took a Statistics class, and Statistics is what it is. This instructor takes time to give you problem examples and helps any way possible. If you are insecure with math like I am, she is your professor of choice.

Gatewood is a great math professor. I enjoyed her teaching style as much as meeting her outside of class. She's flexible with you and sometimes she allows to extend the homework deadline if you need it. Has clear expectations in stats but you need to work for it! Elementary stats isn't always a walk in the park. Wished I had taken her for algebra.

Professor Gatewood is amazing! She's super sweet and anxious to help. She is responsive to emails and actually answers her phone during her office hours. She extended several due dates when students were struggling. Her test reviews are very similar to the test, so just do them right before and you'll be fine. Lets you use a formula sheet on tests.

Took her online Stats class and made an easy B+. Weekly homework that allows multiple attempts. Gives a review before every test and is almost identical to the test (just different numbers). Get to drop 1 test grade and 1 homework. Great responding back to you promptly. Really cares about her students learning. Would take her again if I had to.

There is a lot of homework, but it is stats so that makes sense that there would be a lot. The homework is all on my math lab, but the notes she gives us and goes over step by step will make the homework very easy. there are 4 test, but she drops one. the note packets help a lot, the tests are never mean to trick you, just make sure you study hard

Algebra is algebra, but this class wasn't too hard. There is a lot of homework, but it is easy to work through and you get unlimited tries on all of the questions. She also gives lots of extensions if you need them. Almost every assignment was extended. She also drops 4 HWs and your lowest test grade. Overall a great professor and a great class.

I love her so much, and she seems care her students. She make break down so easy to get understand.

Professor Gatewood is by far the best teacher I have had. She is very kind and understanding when I had questions and was willing to move around due dates to help me out. It is Math so it's not easy, however, she is willing to go the extra mile to make sure you understand. She responds quickly to emails and accessible outside class to explain more.

Ms. Gatewood is seriously the best math professor/teacher I have ever had... I have never been good at math and have had to work super hard to get the content. Ms. Gatewood is beyond caring and kind. She will help you with whatever you need help with in order for you to pass. Just talk to her! She is very accessible outside of class. She's amazing!

Mrs. Gatewood is absolutely one of my favorite profs ever!! I took her for College Algebra and then again for Stats. You will not find a more caring, committed prof out there and she will 100% do all that is possible to get you through her class as long as you are willing to do the work!!

Professor Gatewood is a blessing. She went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed to succeed, from giving us example problems and recording lectures to work out particularly difficult problems to moving due dates back to be more flexible. She truly wants to see everyone succeed and will do she can to help you get there. Take her !!

I have taken algebra 3 times and dropped every single time. I took it again with Gatewood and let me tell you how dumb I feel for dropping so many times. Gatewood made this course so easy for me to understand! She explains things so well. She is available on the dot. I would recommend 100%

Mrs. Gatewood is a gift from above. She is extremely kind and patient and her teaching allowed me the first A I have ever had in a math class in my life. She will extend due dates if needed and she is always ready to help. Multiple live sessions a week that are optional then she posts the recordings. It's a lot of work for practice but not bad.

Very kind and fair. 4 tests and one final (all proctored), which you cannot skip. Lots of homework, but I felt the repetition is very helpful in preparing you. Provides practice tests, which, if you learn those inside and out you will do fine. Tests aren't to try and trick you. Lovely, helpful person. You will succeed if you put in the time. Take!!

I was nervous about taking Pre-Calculus online, but Professor Vicky made the class very enjoyable. She breaks the material down very well!!! She will work with anyone who is having a hard time and will even adjust test dates if multiple people are struggling with material. She made this class very worth while!

Prof. Gatewood is easily one of the best math teachers I have ever had. She is so sweet and her sense of humor is adorable. She will let you know when she is out of the office, but she is almost always available via email, and she emails back pretty quickly.

Mrs. Gatewood was good at answering questions when I wasn't sure with an aspect. The videos that accompany the chapters were extremely useful, it made the process so much easier and being able to watch her work through the problems cemented the learning. Her enthusiasm for statistics made me want to get the formulas correct and engaged me.

I hate math and panic generally when #s start getting thrown around but elementary statistics with Mrs Gatewood may have changed my mind. I made a 92 in this class! Professor Gatewood made statistics easy to understand. She breaks everything down and explains it in different ways so you can understand the formula. She really cares about her students and is quick in replying to emails. It is a lot of chapters that are covered and formulas to learn. However, she gives homework AND test extensions if needed.

Vicky Gatewood is the best professor I have ever taken a class from she was kind, funny, caring and very responsive. There is no way to fail this class unless you absolutely do not try at all. She offers so many extra credit opportunities not to mention, she really takes her time on making sure you understand the content she is going over.

She is the biggest sweetheart ever. One of my favorite professors I had. I'm taking her summer course right now and I've been out of the country flying taking trains everywhere with no service and she extended my assignments along with my test. No other professor would do that and she always emails you to make sure everything fine. TAKE HER.

Mrs. Gatewood is my favorite professor of ALL TIME. I took her for stats online over the summer and she made lecture YouTube videos from her past class that had printable guided notes. Those lectures plus printing the notes helped me ace all the tests and homework. I got a 99! She really cares about her students and is so devoted to helping others.

She completely deserves her 5/5 rating. The overall class average was 82%. There is a lot of stuff but is completely manageable for a 5 week class. She responded to any questions quickly, and the quizzes/reviews reflected the exams. The grading criteria were completely reasonable.

I literally can't express how amazing she is! I heard stats was suppose to be hard or possibly worse than Algerbra. I SUCK AT MATH. haven't taken math in 4 years so I was scared. however I made a 95 in that class. she is literally an angel. super understanding and wants you to succeed! tests are exactly like the reviews. such a sweet little lady!

Professor Gatewood is the perfect math professor. I did the 8-wk course and it was easy to get an A. She is SUPER understanding and caring, so she would extend some due dates. Test were super easy if you did the review before. She drops at minimum 4 homework grades, and 1 test grade. I was scared to take an online math class, but she made it better

This was my second time taking this course and professor Gatewood was wonderful! She teaches really well and is so nice. There was a lot of homework assignments but she would often push the dates and reopen them if asked, she truly wants you to succeed in this course! For the tests, she gives you detailed reviews that are exactly like the test!

She is very nice and also easy to communicate with, which is important for an online class. She's understanding and will work with you if anything comes up or if you're confused about something.

I would take this professor again. Attend classes, participate in after class math studies, and do all the homework studies and you will do just fine.
