Dr. Bondzie can sometimes be difficult to understand because of his accent so you really have to pay attention. The work load is heavy, but it's a physics class. One thing is for sure, you will understand the physics by the time you're finished. Do the work and go to class, his love for physics makes it easier to get excited about it.
A clear-cut-physics-enthusiast-and-professor is the man by the name of Victor A. Bondzie. If there's a trivial or conceptual question about physics, he's your counselor. Prof. Bondzie is professional and assertive with the weakens of answering questions that exercises the extents of his knowledge and accidentally consuming course time.
If you want to learn and understand the concepts of physics professor bondzie is the teacher to take. He has an accent, but you get used to it. If you do the homework and review packets like he asks, you do good on the tests. The tests come straight from the quizzes, homework, and review sheet. He makes the class very interestingandcurves sometimes
Bondzie is a great guy. His accent makes it hard to understand at first, but after a while you can easily tune into what hes saying. Like others have said, tests come from review packets, homework, and quizzes. Lots of busy work but an easy A if you just do the work and try. Final is the same as the previous short answer questions. Take him! =D
I never took time to rate a professor before, but in the case of Prof. Bonzie I really have to do it. He is an EXCELLENT professor, and he is there to make students understand physics.
Dr. Bondzie is a cool prof. He loves what he does, and gets you involved with the concepts in class. His hw are problems out of the text book, but little or nothing from there shows up on his quizzes or tests; these problems are also sometimes a little more challenging than what you'll see on tests. Take good notes in class and study any examples he does in class or any problems he specifically refers to from the book.
Great Teacher!!!Easy to understand and deal with.
Thick accent, but ultimately a good teacher.
Very good professor. He is so passionate about physics that would make you love the subject. He is very clear and helpful. Just be on top of the material and the homework and you will get a good grade
Excellent professor! A+
Great teacher. Explains concepts thoroughly. 2049 is a hard class but his clarity makes it much easier. Wish I had taken him for 2048.
Do his review packets, read his notes and his quizzes then you will be fine. Labs are so much fun and easy. He is the best physics professor in valencia.
The cutest professor ever! loves to make fun of students and mess with them. makes random jokes! easy professor! H.W has nothing to do with tests, just copy ot from Sol Manual. to get an A on the test, just study the review packets and his notes. hes just gonna change the numbers. lab reports are also easy, dont think bout it too much,he doesnt car
Excellent professor. For physics 2, learn your review packet inside out upside down!!! His test questions are in the review packets; don't spend too much time on the hw. However you still have to know your hws though. Easy lab.
His test is much more esasy than the hw, focus on the review, you will get a high grade
Extremely hard to understand. He means well, just difficult to focus on the material when you can't understand him. Hard to read his handwriting. Review and HW is mandatory and extremely tedious.
Physics II is a highly conceptual class. Doctor Bondzie provides formula sheets with each test, homework and review packets are mandatory. The homework will familiarize you with using the formulas. You will do poorly on tests if you do not practice on the homework.
Prof. Bondzie turned out to be a great teacher. I struggled early in his class because i didn't focus on the important materials to be successful. After realizing the review sheets were his main source of testing material i brought an extremely poor grade up to a mid B. given a second chance i would have easily gotten an A. Take this Teacher
Aleluya for Mr. Bondzie. Greatest physics professor I have ever had. 4 tests and a final plus quizzes labs and homework... Do review packets and homework and you will get an A in both of his classes. Highly Recommended.
Dr. Bondzie is a great, knowledgable professor who really teaches you to think outside of the box when solving problems. I highly recommend him. You MUST be willing to work though. This is college level physics!
There is no doubt that he is interesting in physics and knowledgeable, which make the lesson much more fun and easier to comprehend. However, in return for his flexibility, his teaching schedule hardly stick to the plan, which make the latter course move very fast. Listen carefully, do homework and review then A+ is pretty much easy as pie.
Professor Bondzie is the best! His tests are very predictable and are just a copy of the worksheets and the review packages that he goes over in class. If you believe in numbers, 60% of the class got an A in one of the tests!!!! and there's always a 15-points bonus problem !! Plus, he is very nice person and very respectful. TRUST ME .. TAKE HIM !!
he's not interesting at all .. can't understand his accent and his hand wring is so bad .. very hard exams and too much stuff to do .. was a big mistake to take him
very good professor, learned a lot in class, had to type labs but there where easy, very challenging, best physics teacher I had compared to other physics teachers.
Demanding class but reviews are given. Very helpful professor. You must be willing to devote time to the material in order to succeed.
Professor Bondzie is the most amazing professor I have ever had. He is helpful, respectful, intelligent and fun. He cares about our success and our performance. He does not downgrade nor does he make things difficult. He allows us to think and comprehend the material. He knows physics inside out and I would recommend him to anyone and everyone.
This is physics, so you wont be able to find an "easy A" class, anywhere. This is college and you have to grow up and do the work now. But Bondzie is great. Very nice, respectful, knowledgeable, helpful, caring man. Great teacher. Really cares about what he does. Somewhat of a workload, but a pretty lenient grader. Gives points when can. Take him
If you need to take Physics at Valencia, it would be foolish to take any other professor. THIS IS NOT AN EASY "A"; physics is a demanding course that requires your performance. Professor Bondzie is very clear of his expectations, and cares about every single one of his students performance. Awesome professor, regretting not taking him for 2048c
I loved Professor Bondzie. He's super helpful and understanding. The material is not easy so anyone who says the "class is hard," it's not the teacher, it's the actual class. As long as you do the homework, STUDY THE QUIZZES & WORKSHEETS, you'll be good to go. Final is pretty much a summary of all exams.
Bondzie is a nice guy. Loves math and physics, has accent. Study your ass off! Do your homework, and make a study group. Find his old tests and study from them, and keep your quizzes and tests. Those are your best assets for passing tests. Class avgs for tests were in the 70s.
As a student for Dr. Bondzie's PHY 2048, 2049 his courses are challenging, yet rewarding. As a professor, he expects the best from his students and you can plainly see his eagerness when you succeed. The concept of "be in class to pass" is a definite as his lectures are intricate and all the examples he performs are usually on a quiz or a test.
He really knows what he's talking about and does his best to help students understand the concepts. He transmits his passion for physics. I took PHY2048C and PHY2049C with him, and it was one of the best decisions that I made at Valencia. The quizzes and worksheets are very helpful when you have to study for the tests. If you have questions, ASK!
I was a Physics teacher back home , so I know how Mr. Bondzie is. He gives all what he has in his brain to the student, so he expects the same. Give more, get more. Go and study after finishing the class, then you will not need to study for the tests. It's not easy A class, but it is possible A.
Professor Bondzie is the best teacher I have ever had. This class was extremely difficult for me and I in no way would have passed it if i had a different teacher. He is able to deliver the information in such a simple way. He is not easy though he really wants you to learn and grades how you think and your processes. He grades fairly though.
Professor Bondzie is a great teacher. He designs his test to make sure you understand the underlying concepts. His graded criteria consistent. The cons include: Formal lab reports, which become even more difficult if your lab partner is lazy. I would recommend taking this class by it self if you want to learn everything in the book. Lots of time.
A solid choice for physics. Few quizzes, never unannounced-good to study off of for exams. Hints on test questions. Requires formal lab reports, tedious but doable. His exams are easier than the homework. Some grade buffers-hw,labs,participation. He's very nice and lets the class be heard. Sometimes moves due/test dates around. Will take again!
Overall a fantastic professor who knows his stuff. LOTS of homework all for a grade, can be time consuming and frustrating but in the end it's helpful. Labs almost every week, helps keep your grade up. Gives you a ton of resources to work with for exams like sample tests which helped insane amounts. Cares about his students and their futures.
Liked how labs were in sync with lectures to see the concepts in real life. Took me 3 hours per homework assignment, but only 1 assignment per chapter. Seems intimidating at first, but gracious with extra credit on tests & always willing to clarify concepts (in & out of class). Teaching is effective, but need to practice outside of class to master.
Professor Bondzie is amazing. He genuinely cares about his students and does a great job trying to make a hard subject more understandable. Provides review worksheets that are similar to tests. Lab reports and homework due every week. He's a fair grader encourages students when they aren't doing well.
Prof. Bondzie is a nice person and loves Physics. If this is your 1st time taking Physics or if you need someone who explains the material well, do not take him. It was my 1st time taking Physics 2 and I ended up getting a B but that was only b/c I learned from other professors on YouTube. His lectures did not help me.
Makes a tough subject very doable. His notes are very crucial because he reworks his examples onto the tests. Tests are fair and come with bonus. Theres a few quizzes but never surprised. Provides with alot of review packets full of questions for every chapter and sample tests for every exam. Tons of resources while also engaging in Lecture. TAKE!
He does his best to make a very tough subject doable for a persons first introduction to general physics. Little extra credit, but adds points to test that act as a curve. Tests are extremely difficult, but he measures where the class is and adjusts his curve. He enjoys questions, and is very receptive to helping people in office hours.
Prof. Bondzie really cares about his students. Unfortunately his class is fairly difficult and you will need to spend lots of time studying to understand it. Its not a fault of the prof., but more on the actual class. Physics is just ridiculously hard. He curves his tests generously though. STUDY!
If you like a professor that doesn't explain things clearly, that rarely gives examples and works them out on the board, and gives the most irrelevant test reviews on the face of the earth then Bondzie is your guy. Had to learn the concepts and how to do problems properly from youtube because all he does is ramble instead of working things out.
Exams, Labs, Quizzes, HW, Participation/Project. The exams are difficult, but doable. Study the worksheet notes we do in class. Labs are EASY grade boosters. Quizzes arent too difficult, as long as you prepare. We only had 3, 1 was dropped. HW sucked, but theyre a big grade booster too, so do them! A GREAT curve too! LOVED Bondzie!! Very kind.
Took Physics 1-2 with him. Typical lectures consist of derivation after derivation. Now while this is generally effective as he is very thorough, he doesnt spend much time explaining the underlying concepts behind it all. Despite this, I truly enjoyed his classes. Workload can be intense but he provides a plethora of resources to help you succeed.
If you need physics in your degree, Bondzie should be your #1 pick. He will show you how different equations are derived to be sure you understand what's happening beneath the math. Labs aren't the strong suit here, but his lectures are engaging, fun, and if you're paying attention, you should do well in his course. Lots of partial credit on tests.
Prof Bondzie is absolutely AMAZING! He makes his material appealing to you and is not afraid to call you out for not doing something. You can just listen to how much he cares about teaching Physics through how he talks and explains it. Tests are very difficult but not impossible. Make sure to study and piece multiple concepts together for test Q's!
I took him for Physics with Calculus 1.
He's great! He really cares about his students and wants everyone to learn. You do have to put in all the work to understand and do well. He is very understanding though and regularly gave us more time if we expressed we were struggling with a concept. Take him you won't regret it!
Professor was very respectful and caring. Although, his lessons were sometimes hard to follow. His exams are extremely difficult and long even if you studied, he doesn't provide feedback for it. He did give us many resources such as reviews and lesson outlines. Homework could be frustrating at times. Sometimes slow and forgetful with grading work.
If you haven't taken Calc III or any other physics class beforehand, I'd recommend waiting or finding a different professor. It's relatively easy to pass, but don't expect an easy A for this class. Do note that I took his class online, and he is tough to understand in the virtual meetings, so if you're majoring in physics, maybe find a tutor.
DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR - we were supposed to get through 14 chapters, only got through 9. I got an A+ in the class, but it was my entire life all semester and I had to pay for tutoring/self-teach. He doesn't grade on time, his tests were divided into two portions: Part A - 3 hour multiple choice and Part B - 5 hour free-response. 8 HOURS. NO.
maybe this guy can teach in person, but not online. couldn't do the last lab cause it used flash player, and the tests are awful. don't count on the lectures if you actually plan on getting through the material or the homework (there's a lot of that, and it was all 'due' at the end of the semester cause he had to push it back more and more)
I am technically a junior and this was my worst experience with a professor in 3 years at Valencia. DO NOT TAKE HIM. He doesn't communicate, doesn't answer emails promptly, doesn't teach properly, has an accent (nothing against it but it plays a huge role when lectures are online), he also doesn't know how to use basic tech CONTINUED
In spite of there being some EC on his exams, I had a poor experience with this class. I personally really enjoy physics but the class's disorganization forced me to learn the majority of the material on my own. His lectures can be helpful but most of them consist of derivations and not conceptual explanations of what the concepts mean.
Ill keep this short, Prof Bondzie does not follow his syllabus, gives you about 3 days in advance for a test, at max post things a week in advance for you to plan (including labs and test), he does not respond to pertinent emails about scheduling, he takes weeks (about 2-3) to grade, when he does grade you do not get feedback on what you did wrong
Never do I ever complain or write reviews for anything, but I had to write one for professor Bondzie. If you are a person who follows a clear schedule then this class is not for you. The professor took 2 weeks to review chapter 1( probably the easiest chapter) and now its almost finals and he is trying to cram 5 chapters in 1 week.
To sum things up, professor Bondzie is the worst professor I ever had. He doesn't reply to emails until it too late to matter. He doesn't post announcements. All of the class information is in the lecture, which he doesn't post right away. His pacing is way off from the syllabus, so he ended up squeezing 5 chapters along with hw into the final week
The worst class I've ever taken while being at Valencia. He doesn't reply on time, never notifies you, and keeps you in the dark regarding due dates. He has an accent which can make it difficult to understand him. If it's your last resort, then you should either take it the next semester or take the bullet and suffer.
Regular tests are Part A - 10 multiple choice, and Part B - 5 FR problems + a bonus over the span of 8 hours. THE FINAL; however, is 20 multiple choice and 10 FR problems with NO bonus over the same time. Dont forget the HWs that arent due till after the final because this professor didnt teach the last 4-5 chapters.
Maybe he used to teach in-person classes okay, but do NOT take him for online classes. He crammed nearly 2 months worth of work into a week at the end and then doubled the content on the 3rd test as compared to test 1 and 2 without changing the time limit. Terribly disorganized, never grades, doesn't give feedback. Don't take him online.
So this man was one of the worst professors I have ever had. THERE IS NO organization, being proactive, grading done on time (I am writing this the day before the grades are due and he still hasn't graded the final and the last 5 homeworks), no understanding or professionalism. He will interview you for each test. Just dont take him, save yourself!
Professor Bondzie was a great improvement over my Phys I prof. He gave great lectures (which were recorded and posted the same day), and showed that he cared about his students. Tests and quizzes are only open for 24 hrs, and tests can take a while to do. As well, he could be hard to reach outside of class. But, he does care and worked with us all!
Very disorganized. He is passionate about his job just not a great teacher. Make sure you do the sample tests and hw review before you take the tests.
Prof Bondzie is a very nice guy and will try to work with you. His test is very tough and your best bet is the interactive questions and sample tests. There a quite a few homeworks but they are worth little and almost never on the test. His lectures are very good except for when he tries to prove stuff (not on tests) then I got lost. Solid choice.
The class felt more like a self teaching class, rather than a class with an actual teacher who teaches. If you take this teacher BEWARE, heavy amounts of homework, and tests matter a lot. It was to the point that a family member passed away the same day of my first exam and he wouldn't let me retake it. He will grade things as a 0 without a notice.
I had to fortune to take professor Bondzie in person. His lectures were insightful, he taught the course material excellently, and related it to real world application flawlessly. He took time to really talk to his students, remember the names, express interest in how they are doing in the course, and assist us with any issues.
Prof. Bondzie is simply amazing. He is very passionate about what he does and he can explain everything thoroughly. Very funny and caring guy, very lenient with due dates (will extend them all the time). Tests are 60% of the grade, but all of the questions come from the interactive questions and practice exams. Go to class to not fall behind.
Good at explaining complex concepts in class and always made time to answer questions. Homework assignments are not representative of what is on the test, so don't spend too much time on them. Quizzes are easy and open-note but Tests are very weighted and hard. He drops the lowest Lab, HW, and Quiz grades at the end of the semester.
Bondzie is undoubtedly a caring professor but I found it very challenging to understand his explanations during lectures and instructions for labs and other class assignments. He'd often tell us about an upcoming test at a week's notice. I wish the lectures, homework, and other classwork had truly reflected the test.
Horrible only took him cause he's so highly rated absolutely miserable He always should up late consistently to every class and always leaves early. solves the easiest example in class and expects you to be a master at by the end of class his tests are unbelievably hard and he treats physics1 like everyone has been studying physics their whole life
Professor Bondzie is very kind but his course is very disorganized, the homework is very difficult and different from the tests and doesn't help you at all for the tests. His class isn't easy so you need a lot of time to practice, especially if you already struggle in math which already complicate your situation in this course
He showed up late multiple times and says so after class, lectures are all proofs and he has some good explanations yet not good enough for many problems, AKA gives you formulas and expects you to learn the problems on your own, very hw heavy and test are huge for your grade.
It is super fast paced, it's hard to understand anything. The homework is crazy hard as well, it doesn't even reflect what tests or actual questions are like in his class and they take a big chunk of your time. And on top of that, you may need additional study time to do his practice test questions. He does not explain concepts clearly either.
Professor Bondzie has great lectures and uses good examples to help understand the concepts. The tests are the bulk of the grades in his class so study well beforehand, they are difficult but fair. He has worked examples on potential test questions. There are labs as well.
He was consistently late by 30 minutes to an hour. Accused students of lying about directions he told. Would berate students for not knowing what he was specifically thinking on problems. He barely taught anything, would instead just gloss over topics. 3 tests make up nearly all of the grade. He didn't grade labs till the class was almost over.
Thick foreign accent,so pay close attention to his lectures. Attendance is not mandatory but if you go to class you'll pass. Lots of homework, but don't waste time on it bc it won't help you on the exam. Instead, practice his interactive questions and sample tests. HW is 10%(get help from google) labs are 10%, quizzes 10%. Three exams make up 70%.
Bondzie is an excellent Professor. While he assigns a lot of homework, he's always willing to extend deadlines if needed. Exams are directly based on his interactive questions and practice problems, so reviewing those is key. The class is challenging, but with consistent practice and asking questions, you can succeed in his class.
His tests take up a major amount of the grade about 68% and homework's can be around 20 questions taking hours to complete. On the homework's some stuff on there do not match the problems he has practiced in class and takes time to figure out, making it extra long to complete. The ending chapters were brushed over due to a lack of time.
DO NOT TAKE HIM. He did not teach us about lots material from chap 9-14! He does berate students and holds some students higher then others. He is 30 mins late. DOES NOT CURVE! GLOSSES over topics all the time. NOTHING on the homework's is on his test and its just wases your time. He is nice but he is a bad teacher. Grades lab last minute.
SAVE YOURSELF. He is a horrible prof, the lectures are confusing and he is rude when you ask questions. He shows up 15-20mins late then spends the lectures vaguely solving proofs for physics formulas, barley does application questions. The homework take hours and are completely unrelated to anything you learn/will learn. be ready to study for hours
Overall, he is a very good professor. His accent does not get in the way, he's approachable and open to taking questions, but sadly, his grading leaves very little room for error. Sometimes, he would show up around 10-20 minutes late for class though. His exams weigh VERY HEAVY. Be prepared and study a lot. Labs are good. BEWARE. THERE IS NO CURVE.
I wish I had more than 350 words. Victor is by far the worst professor I have ever had. I have no idea how this guy got a phd. He could not care less about his students, he is rude, and he bullies his students if a question is asked. Hw have nothing to do with what we do in class. His lectures are a time waste, tests are impossible. DO NOT TAKE
Bondzie is rude and dismissive to a majority of his students. Tests are very different from what was covered in lecture, HW is pointless, lectures are rambling sessions. Take a different prof
Intelligent man but bad professor. Knows his physics however fails in the relating to the students. If you ask a question he doesnt feel like answering, he wont. Homework has nothing to do with rest of course. Take someone else if you dont already have physics background to lean on.
Most of the reviews are buggin, Bonzie was not a bad professor. Really, as long as you lock in on his interactive questions that are similar to exam questions ur straight, def look over notes tho cause it'll help for the exam, and the hw is free, labs are free too. He doesn't have an unmarketable tomato accent and he does not bully students.
I think Prof Bondzie was one of my favs at VC. His accent isn't bad at all. His lectures are informative, great at explaining complex concepts IF you pay attention. This class draws a lot from Calculus I topics. So know your stuff beforehand… He does not bully students at all. Yes he's late sometimes but he also ends class early sometimes!
Professor Bondzie was an absolute joy. He really tries his best to make the topics relevant to real world applications. There is A LOT of homework, it's by no means an easy class. Attendance is not mandatory but highly recommended. Grading was pretty fair, and he is more than happy to help his students where he can. We need more teachers like him.
