he is a very good teacher , but he does give hard tests! make sure you study!

Took Meteo over the summer. You must study for the test and quizzes. Pay attention to the Power Points. Hard tests and quizzes if you do not study. Weighted class, which is ugh. But if you are trying and want to pass the class, he will give you every opportunity to pass with a C. Overall, not a bad teacher. He is just a hard teacher.

I greatly enjoyed his class and I am pleased to learn so much about the world. The Professor has inspired me to travel the world. I really appreciate all the knowledge you bestoyed to me. Great class.

Very challenging course as 16 weeks were scrambled into 8 weeks. Nothing bad to say at all, Smart guy, very approachable, very helpful. Online tests are very hard and takes a lot of time, but he is there to help you every step of the way and rewards your efforts

Mr. Meledge has a good set up for his online class. Each week follows the same patterns and it is easy to make deadlines. Each student knows where they stand all the time.

He is, by far, one of the BEST Professors I ever had. He is engaging, funny, and charismatic. If you pay attention and do the assignemeny, there is no reason why you shouldn't do well in his class. Professor Meledge-Ade was one of the best instructors I had in my two years. Although some of the material is dry, he does the best he can to liven it up including using personal experiences and humors. Love the jokes on Friday Definetely take this class, you will enjoy it.

Pr. Meledge is the best.Not only is he extremely knowledgeable and intelligent but he articulate easy for students to understand and teach his course with clairity. Exams are straight from his lecture. Yes he does have an accent, but doesn't impact his ability to teach. He keeps class extremely interesting. The BEST so far.

This class was very informative. Mr. Meledge-Ade wants to see every student succeed, and he pushes you to do so. Test questions are taken from powerpoints, assignments, and quizzes. He's a nice guy and knows his stuff, for sure. One of the better classes I've taken online. You have a do a good amount of reading and his tests are little tough, but will do anything to help if you try. He is a down-to-earth kind of guy. His class can be tough, but I'd recommend him.

The class was interesting and enjoyable. The professor was extremely knowledgeable. He was always willing to schedule office time to help students if necessary. The whole class had his cell# just in case. Tests were challenging unless you memorize tons of detail from chapters and lecture. But if you attend and do the work, you'll get a good grade.

By far one of the funniest people I have been around. He was born in Africa and grew up in France, so he has lots of interesting cultural experiences and interesting stories to share which fits well! He is very good at interacting with the class and keeps it interesting. The tests can be challenging. Spend most of your time studying the ppt.'s.

Tests seemed impossibly hard. I had the highest grade in the class at one point, which was a 76. Gave us a huge amount of extra credit to bump us up, then had us do a 10-minute speech at the end of the semester, which was another grade-booster. Barely ended up with an A. Really nice and likeable guy, though.

Prof. Meledge-Ade was extremely nice and helpful. Two consecutive semesters with him. He was willing to meet outside of class if there was any confusions. He was also a fairly easy grader and class lectures were fun and well organized. If you read the PowerPoint and pay attention in class, the exam will be easy and you'll do well.

This class is actually a really good class. There is a lot of note taking but as long as you so up to class and listen to the lectures you will pass. He is also really funny so that is a plus. I would definitely take one of his classes again. He says you need the book. But you really don't. Everything is in the power points.

I have had a very difficult semester for personal issues and while all my professors dropped me from missing classes, Mr. Meledge-Ade was the only professor who reached out to me. His softness, caring and professionalism really strike me. He has worked with me and really helped me. This man is more than a teacher. He is a very caring human being.

Don't get the book, all of his information you need will be from the power points. So print them off, you will need them. Keep all your exams and quizzes, you will need them at the end for you final. This class was pretty cool, to basically travel around the world from your chair.

He has a great sense of humor and easy going. But its not an easy A. His lectures have a lot of great information. I only used my book for assignments not actual reading material.

Victor was an amazing professor. He truly cares about his student's well being. It felt as though I was in the country as he was lecturing about it. As long as you take good notes, and do your assignments, there is no reason you should not pass.

I took this class for the second 8-week course. Obviously it was a fast-paced class, but he did an amazing job making sure that we covered everything & were prepared. He is an amazing professor! I thought Victor was great. Definitely knew what he was talking about when it comes to cultures from around the world, most of his powerpoints have pictures he's taken which was nice. He can be kinda unorganized when it comes to due dates, the textbook is completely unnecessary, and teats can be hard, but he's passionate, funny, and overall great!

I have had 3 classes with Dr. Meledge-Ade and can only say that i would have taken all my courses with him if i could. I have recommended his courses to others. In response to the comment below, yes he does speak with a strong french accent but this is far to be a broken English. He is very articulated and very knowledgeable about his subjects.

Great class, nice and caring professor. Although the class material can be intense, If you can keep up, you will learn a lot. He gives you the chance to expand your knowledge beyond what was learned in class. He will give you so much opportunities to increase your grade by the end of the semester. Awesome! This class and Prof. were great. One of the most interesting classes I have ever taken. I had no prior experience in Geography but he made me learn so much. The lectures and power points will be all you need in order to pass this class. His test are easy and straight out his power points. Really and easy and fun class. I loved it.

World Geography with Professor Meledge-Ade was a very good experience. He is fun and makes lectures entertaining. I took his summer class, so it was fast-paced, but we stayed ahead the whole time. The class consisted of 5 Google Earth assignments, 6 quizzes, 4 tests, and a Final. Tip: Study the PowerPoints/make flashcards. I barely opened my book.

A real gem, thank goodness he has tenure I plan on taking more classes with him. He has clear powerpoints that he posts on blackboard for studying, google assignments are easy points, DO THEM! Quizzes and Exams are easy if you study and the questions derive straight from the powerpoints. Don't expect an easy A, you must earn it! Awesome Teacher!

Dr. Meledge-Ade was tough but fair. Take him even for an online class. Very interesting individual and well put together. He is very passionate not arrogant Do not skip the classes. Exams are not the easiest-you have to earn it. Great sense of humor and sarcasms. I enjoyed this class and learned a lot.

Very nice guy, I would definitely recommend him! You don't use the book in class, I just used my notes from his power points and still did fine. Only complaint is how much information is crammed into the lessons, but I know that really can't be helped. You have a new assignment & quiz each section & a test every other section.

I took this professor for an 8 week online GEOG 113... SUPER easy. Easy grader if you just do the papers and discussion boards. Quizlet is your friend! He akes a while to reply and is pretty short with replies but overall would take again, he opens two weeks at a time to do at your own pace. One proctored exam.

Professor Ade is my favorite professor I have had at longview. His tests are a little difficult but he tells you during his lectures what exactly is going to be on them. Make sure you come to class every day because it will benefit you in the long run! Hes super funny and really cares about his students!

Vic was a good instructor. Always let you know what was going to be on the test ahead of time. DONT BUY THE TEXTBOOK. I could have very easily gotten the A in this class had I read the powerpoint a few more times or recorded the lecture. The textbook is only good for homework assignments, which are very easy to check using the internet.

Highly recommended! Looked forward to his class. He's funny and has lots of story to be told about his trips. Gives you good visuals to help understand culture of some countries. Professor is straight forward with lectures. Everything that is told in class during lectures are on the test. Relaxed fun class for sure!

Professor Meledge-Ade is clear in his expectations and strict about his attendance policy. He is fair in his grading. He has so much knowledge and it is easy to see that he truly loves teaching. He's very animated and comical most of the time. He's difficult to reach outside of regular class time, and only responded to one email all semester.

His online assignments were a bit irrelevant and random, as well his tests were pretty stressful. But, if you show up to class, he uses your attendance points at the end of the semester and it works wonders for your grade. He does teach very well too, you're able to understand what he's talking about. His tests were just a little out of whack.

Very well organized class and responds super fast. The work is pretty easy. Do the discussion board before the last 24 it's due, he will drop that grade by 50% if you do so. If you don't get a c or higher I would be very surprised.

Not a necessarily ''hard'' course, but a LOT of material. If you don't pay attention in lectures and study the slides before assignments, you won't do well, simple as that. There are a lot of quizzes, but they're pretty easy, and at the end of the year a lot of chances for extra credit. If you miss class, you need a really good reason. Super nice!

He is a very personable person and is a good professor. He is very reasonable and cares about his students. I enjoyed his class. Make sure you go to class and listen when he says something is important.

Super awesome teacher and very hilarious. Lectures during class are important because he lets you know what slides are going to be on your quizzes and tests. Pay attention and take notes. Gives extra credit for attendance. Quizzes are short answer questions and tests are multiple choice, true and false, and some short answer questions as well.

Made learning about meteorology really fun, also gave students plenty of opportunities for extra credit.

I thoroughly enjoyed everything we covered in this class. Most of what makes a class enjoyable is the professor, and Prof. Victor is one of my favorites I've had. I think he was super interesting and expressive with his lectures which made me enjoy the class way more. I think very highly of him and I wish I could take a class with him again.

An easy professor to work with, read your textbook! I didn't take many notes while reading, Quizlet flashcards helped a lot. Homework is always the same, you have work due each month, usually consisting of 2 assessments, 2 quizzes, 2 google earth exercises, 2 discussion posts, and 1 exam. It seems like a lot, but you have a whole month to do them.

This was overall a fun class! The teacher gives you hints in lectures, so you won't miss it on quizzes. He also drops all your lowest scores of any assignment, quiz, and test. He makes the lectures fun and entertaining. I would take any class with him again.

Professor Meledge-Ade is a proficient teacher. He is very knowledgeable in his area of study. Personally, I really love geography, and he brought out that love of that subject for me. The assignments were pretty easy. The course I took was an online 8-week course, and it went better than expected. 1000% recommend!!!

If you listen to ANY of these ratings, let it be this one. Professor Ade is one of my best professors, he leaves plenty of room for you to pass his class and tbh you would have to be incompetent or give up to not pass. He's very chill and kind. He makes class fun and makes you laugh while also taking his job & students seriously. Highly recommend.

As long as you pay attention and ask questions you will be fine. It is a hard course and I really struggled at times but he made a real effort to help my grade out. That can't be said for a lot of professors.

First of all, I strongly disagree with the statement made above. My mom took his class a decade ago, and I have taken two of his classes, including this one, without any issues at all. He is very knowledgeable, willing to answer questions, and takes the time to walk students through the material. He is a great professor and I highly recommend him.
