In an area such as math, it's relieving to meet a teacher who can not only break it down elementary for you but who can also give you easy ways to remember how to find the answers. TAKE THIS TEACHER'S CLASS! (cute & has dimples!!!!)

MR.P IS THE BEST MATH TEACHER AT DBCC HE IS VERY HARD BUT ONLY BECAUSE IF THERE IS 10 DIFFERENT WAYS TO SOLVE A PROBLEM HE WILL ASK FOR ALL 10 IF YOU STUDY AND LEARN YOU WILL BE PREPARED FOR MANY MATH CLASSES IN THE FUTURE.

He is a very popular person at ATC, you can ask anyone at school...they will tell you about him. He teaches great and he makes learning fun! you never get bored in his class (he is just so hot! and has dimples!!)

He was very helpful and always kind. Keeping a laid back atmosphere almost at all times but got serious when he needed to. If you ever need to take Math I would highly recommend Victor. He is a bit fast but if you ask for some help he will take as much time as you need to help you!

This guy is passionate about his subject. He is very knowledgeable. He really cares about his class, but you better keep up. He wants to teach those who want to learn. Unfortunately, some really hold back the class because they require a great deal of attention. If you are willing to do the work and attend you will do well in his class.

Victor is an excellent instructor. He is very passionate about math and has the ability to make his classes interesting and fun even for those of us who do not like algebra. Professor Pareja is very enthusiastic in all of his classes. He is a great professor and is always willing to help. He constantly encourages his students to do their best and is very reliable during office hours. You will definitely learn a lot from his lectures. There's always room for improvement!!

I can not say enough about Victor. He was truly born to teach. I live in Palm Coast and drove to Daytona to take Victor's class and it was worth every mile! I have a hard time understanding math & whenever someone ask a question he says "Good Question!". This class is not easy but, with Victor's teachings & willing to help makes it a little easier!

Very cool teacher to have, its just his work is hard. His assignment and quizzes are very hard. I studied and still made C's. Have a study group and if you pass this classes you will look at all the other classes like jokes. He really try pushing to where you will know everything you need to for next class. I would take him again

He will let u text him as well if you get stuck on your homework and assignments. Not a lot of professors do that. Very helpful just hard but he will do everything to help you get through.

Awesome teacher... you will get a good grade strictly because you have to do the homework... Hes really nice but he does make sure your following along and doing your side work to get a good grade... you learn it and you earn it... but it helped because now I understand Algebra! :)

The online MAT1033 class with Instructor Pareja is the one to take! I was nervous about taking the online Math class. However, Instructor Pareja is there to answer any questions. Taking the online class gave me more instructions and time to work on my studies at my pace and time. TAKE PAREJA's CLASS!!

Victor is so helpful. He is always avaiable and will work around your schedule. He makes math fun and less complicated. No question is stupid, and he will explain things until you understand. I reccomend you take his class. I really enojoyed him, and his good looks make it easier to enjoy as well ;)

Mr. P. is an awsome teacher very clear and works with you till you understand.He has office hours and does not mind if you come to him for help even by phone.Mr P even post class notes of work outlined step by step he is the best!! Practice Practice though is the key to any math however.

If you are serious about your studies show up to class and ask questions because he will teach the material until you understnad it. He won't give you a grade.

I failed this class, twice, before taking him. As of now, I have gotten an A on every test hes given. His tests are harder than the other teacher's tests. However, he is a much better teacher. By far best actual TEACHER I have had at DSC... even though I've liked other classes much more.

One of the most difficult classes I have had, and by far one of the best teachers I have ever had. He expects you to learn, not regurgitate. The assignments are difficult, but not impossible and are made to make you think and use the skills you have learned. His instruction is very clear. Mr. Pareja is a boon to DSC and I hope they realize this.

Victor is an incredibly helpful professor even when you're done with his course. He always makes himself available during office hours and is willing to help if you're willing to learn. Showing up to class and actually doing the homework is the key to doing well in his class! He is a great professor and I highly recommend him for any math class!

Not really an easy teacher and his personality can be a bit of an acquired taste. But I have met very few teachers who are as helpful to their students, also once you get past a certain point he loosens up because he's 'driven out the students who don't care' I'd recommend him over just about anyone on this campus.

Victor is freaking AWESOME! he is really GREAT he doesnt give extra credit or check homework for this class. to me itsseems impossible to get less than a b in his class! he teaches GREAT adn i would reccomend himto anyone taking a math course

great teacher! He really tried to get us to understand logically what we were doing before we attempted the problem. I think sometimes he used shortcuts that actually confused us and sometimes i had to go back to the book and see what they said about it but other than that he was really helpful. a little into himself but nice to look at ;)

Moves way to fast. Most Math comes easy to me. I had to work to pass this class. If you want to pass this class you MUST attend and PAY ATTENTION

Attendance is not mandatory, however, it is mandatory if you want to pass the class! If you skip one class, it's your loss. I consistently got B's on all of my tests but I missed one class and the next test I got a 67% on. Pareja is an amazing teacher. He's a lot of fun!

He is by far one of the best instructors I have had. His assignments are hard but I am not going to college to be entertained as some kids expect. Half of the class dropped bc half of the class didn't wanna work. Don't waste your time if you don't wanna learn. Precalc is not easy so don't expect it to be. I am good at math and had to work hard.

Awesome teacher,may seem uptight in class,but if you visit him during office hours he seems like a totally different person. If you show effort and ask for help he will help you! No matter how long it may take. Very good teacher!

Prof. Pareja is a very motivated professor and he motivates his students to study hard, learn and pass his class. He wants his student to succeed, however, one must study to earn a good grade at his class. He is availabe office hours and at ASC, he is willing to spend a lot of time with a student that wants to learn and improve his/her grades.

I'm a bit older than the average student and I'm extremely glad I took Pareja's class. He makes it very clear from the start that hard work is needed. He's got high expectations which younger students dislike. My nephew took algebra last year, got an A, and cannot add. Go figure. I earned a B in Pareja's class...earned! Take him if you wanna learn

PROF PAREJA IS SCARY SMART AND IS HAPPY TO HELP STUDENTS WHO WANT TO LEARN, BUT IF IT'S AN EASY A YOUR AFTER YOU MIGHT BE SHOCKED TO REALIZE THAT YOU WILL HAVE TO EARN YOUR GRADE. THIS WAS ONE OF THE MOST CHALLENGING OF CLASSES AS WELL AS THE MOST REWARDING FOR ME. I HIGHLY RECOMEND HIM, WAS AN HONOR!

After being on a math hiatus for 20 years, I took Pareja's Statistics class. I could not have picked a better instructor. It is NOT an easy "A" so don't expect that. For me, it was a well earned "B" and I've never been more proud of a grade. He's great. EXTREMELY intelligent! Great class.

Professor Pareja is great!!He is super helpful and wants for all his students to succeed. I have taken both MAT 1033 & MAC 1105 with Victor. MAC 1105 can be semi-difficult, but if you just do the hw and ask questions you will be just fine. I wish anyone taking this class the best :)

Hard subject..great teacher. Would not have passed this class without him. Should've taken him for previous classes, will take him for all future. The easiness rating is what you put in. You don't care, you'll fail. You work hard, you'll pass.

Mr. P is excellent. He says it how it is and doesn't feed you with BS. This is college and this man is a great instructor. He is not going to pat your back telling you how great you are. I like the no nonsense approach. If you don't want to apply yourself don't take him. He teaches by discussion. You will learn if you pay attention. End of story.

Mr. P is great. I don't understand how anyone would not appreciate him. He only gets upset if people are disrespectful loud or try to get away with not working. I love that he doesn't lecture. He speaks to the class as a conversation. what a concept! He gets frustrated with poor performance but that means he cares, not that he doesn't.

Pareja is very helpful during class hours, but the exams he administers are close to impossible to succeed on. The material he covers does not always match up with the tests he creates. Good guy, no nonsense type, but very very difficult examinations. Tends to talk down to students that do not meet his expectations.

Professor Pareja is a great professor and if one is willing to work hard and not give up he is going to be there for the student. He is very helpful in his office hours and responds to his emails as soon as he can.I truly believe that DSC is privileged to have him as part of the school. Trigonometry was a difficult class but I highly recommend him.

His class is pretty hard. A lot of people did drop out of his class in the beginning. He kind of gets all the lazy people removed and helps out those who are willing to try in his class. I am not a math person. I was about to drop myself but decided I could do it. He is very helpful.

Prof. Pareja is an excellent teacher. I have taken intermediate and college algebra with him. He is very helpful, he answers all questions and reply to emails. The class is pretty hard you must put time and effort into this class but with his help is doable. Thank you professor and it was a blessing to have you.

Professor Pareja is one of the few instructor that actually TEACH. He is super helpful and if you need extra he is always there. Excellent professor. Tests are a little difficult but test you actual knowledge. I would take another course under him if I could.

I found this the best Math class so far, I took it online. The Prof was very helpful, he got back to me via email asap, he seemed very understanding. The hardest part of this class was the Discussion Labs and he was very helpful in making things clear for me/us after saying something. I am no longer a Math hater or failure at Math!

This guy prepared me very well for trig. No nonsense kinda guy in the classroom and a lot more relaxed in his office. If you work and study theres no reason you cannot get an A/B. If you dont learn its bc you dont want to.

Take him if you're in college to get an education and know your tables of multiplication.

I agree with the person below. You'll hear a lot of bad stuff about him but the reality is that hes there to teach math not be your buddy. In this age of grade inflation your grade in this class will actually indicate your mastery level. Come to lecture, do your homework and be an adult. I got an A in this class by doing the above.

I didnt like him at first then I went to his office and he literally spent hours helping me out. Wish I would of gone earlier in the semester. He sounds rude sometimes but only when someone asks stupid questions from people who didnt care to take notes or study. Overall no complaints. Best of the math people in the campus.

I took this class twice before taking Pareja. From the beginning he almost begged for people to start off the course with good notes, reading and asking questions. Most people dont bc they never did it in HS. Thanks Florida education system! I can tell you that I got an A in this class with his help. Hes there for you if you're there for yourself!

Great course. It was extremely easy becaus he uses the TI83 calculator which makes exams a breeze. I hear the other instructor does not use calculator. Easy A.

I'm not so great at math, and Prof. Pareja made the course much easier for me. He explains everything in-depth and will go over it again if someone just asks. He also goes over hw exercises in the text for illustrations, and will solve more if a student asks. There are discussion boards, which were a HUGE pain, and chapter tests and a final.

Lots to cover and plenty of work, but nothing impossible. if you struggle in math, probably best to take this in a classroom setting.I passed with some studying. If you're a self starter, save yourself the time and hassle with an online class.

Prof. Pareja is by far the most intelligent person Ive met. Hes probably not the best if you want to just get by. He expects you to work but it is college, right? You can't get better than him to express concepts and ideas tho. He's really sarcastic and doesn't hide his emotions well so think about what you want to say before saying it.

I had professor Pareja since I started at DSC first with Intermediate. Hes great and is always there to help/explain if you seek him out. Those who say he isnt are those who simply don't care. Even now that I am taking him for online college algebra, it literally takes him less than an hour to get back to me with a reply. Take him if you can.

He expects you to use critical thinking skills in his classes. His test are mostly word problems that are difficult to get through. If you do the suggested homework, ask intelligent questions post homework, and study a lot It is possible to pass with an A. You will earn the grade you work for. Office hours are worth it. He helped me for hours!

I hadn't taken a math class since high school, and I started off pretty rocky in the beginning. To make a long story short, my final grade was in the 90's when I was done, after completely failing the first test. He loved what he did and he propelled that onto his students with excitement. By far the best college professor I've ever had.

He'll intimidate the math skills out of you! His enthusiasm is obvious the 1st day of class. He is brutally honest and from day 1 tells says if you don't do the work, you will not pass. I took his course after 8 years of NO math (also my worst subject), I spent hours at home and the ASC. 2 F grades on tests and I managed to fight back for an A!

Got an A in the class. He's funny and attractive so that didn't hurt either.

Professor Paraja is hands down the best teacher I have ever had! I am not good at math and I completed his class with an A! He explains math in a way that makes sense to everyone! He is hilarious and all around a great teacher!

Prof. pareja took the time to help me with a lot of the understanding in precalculus. Like others have said he will not give you a grade just bc you show up. The majority of people that go to class are lazy and make dumb excuses for failing.
