Parker made this class so fun. I loved this class. The current events were interesting, and so were the lectures. I loved it so much. Avoid Dr. Grant and take Parker for Business Law.
I came to class every once in a while and those times were fun. (☺Dr. Parker take a drawing class☺)
Soo funny! He makes it interesting too. Just watch out for his tricky test questions
funny, handsome, and intellectual. He's got it all!
Piece of cake class. Study a little, pay attention in class, participate in class discussion and you have it made. He love law and had excellent, real life examples. I would recommend to anyone! (Buy him a coke and you'll get an A!)
Great teacher that I would recommend to anyone.
great
he's a great professor he makes business law interesting
Dr. Parker knows a lot about law but heaven forbid you disagree with him. He asks for examples or suggestions and when you give them, if thats not what he was looking for he makes you feel like an idiot. Test questions are tricky. Best if you just listen and keep your mouth closed.

The class was interesting, informative and useful, never boring. However, Mr. Parker's tests are geared more toward those seeking a law degree than those seeking a business degree.
Great teacher. Pretty easy. Take this teacher before any other.
take him over anyone else - do NOT take grant for law. pay attention to lectures, did not really use the book. he likes to ask tricky questions so be prepared to read the fine print
Parker was funny and nice. Tests are all application (read the study guide-test questions are from there). Do the extra credit and you will be fine.
Great Teacher...actually looked foward to class. STUDY THE STUDY GUIDE>>>>
Parker is fair and tries to help students. Tests are a bit tricky, but he will curve grades if everyone misses something. Could apply Business Law more to business rather than those going to law school. Go to class, study your notes, and do the extra credit. no worries.
He is a very nice teacher! His tests are tricky though! He needs to spend more time teaching to the test rather than trying to trick us into getting the answers wrong! Sometimes he curves grades. Overall he is pretty easy.
He makes class interesting, and loves to talk about current events. He likes to try to trip us up..so be careful. Overall I like him!!
parker is great. i would recommend taking him
Great Teacher. Genuinely cares about students and learning. Highly recommend.
Great teacher. If I didn't wait for the night before to read the material, I would have an A. Tests aren't wildly easy, but just reading the notes is enough to get a B in the class.
Mr. Parker is a great guy. His tests are pretty easy as long as you study his notes. He is very funny and works hard to wake us up at 8:00. I really enjoy his class and would recommend him to everyone.
Great teacher must take!!!!!!!! Gives notes to every chapter. If you study the notes he gives you and pay attention in class, there is no way you can get any lower than a B in his class. I read about 30% of the chapters in textbook and still got a high grade. Book is not necessary if willing to pay close attention, take notes, and read his notes.
Dr. Parker is by far one of the best teachers I have had at NGCSU. He is funny and makes law as interesting as possible. He put the notes on WebCT and the only graded stuff was tests. However, that doesn't mean its Ok to wait till the last minute to study, it is a lot of information!
Really laid back and makes the class interesting. Very lenient on grading (if you attend class, try your best, he will help you out). Take this guy for Law! I highly recommend him!!!
i believe if he was just teaching this class alone (without dean burns) this might be an interesting and useful class. with dean burns, its useless and I have not learned anything. Parker is way better than the dean though.
I am prelaw major, and the 2810 class had a lot of review from other classes I have taken. I would still recommend it to learn a little about contracts (perhaps the higher level bus. law is more appropriate). Parker makes class fun (though summer class got long at times) and tests involve application to situations- my favorite. Highly recommended.
Parker its the best teacher in the business department!! Real clear about his material and he makes things easy to learn by various teaching methods. Shows support to athletics and he is someone you can go up to outside of class and talk to him
Mr. P is great. His lectures make sense, and easy to understand. One of the biggest things is he wants you to succeed. He tries to make the class easy while also doing an effective job at getting his point across. NEVER BORING
Mr. Parker is a great guy. He's really funny and tries not to make things too tough on his students. He still manages to teach pretty effectively while still getting the material across. He was also my advisor before I transferred from NGCSU and was genuinely interested in my plans and very helpful. Great guy. Very approachable outside of classtoo.
TAKE HIM! He is really cool and you don't need to buy a book. he tests over EXAMPLES not definitions, dates or numbers. when he gives you EXAMPLES take notes on that and that alone. his tests are 100% examples of hypothetical situations he has mentioned in class.
Mr. Parker used a lot of real life examples to help us understand the material, which made everything easier to remember. He cared about our success in his class and was interested in our lives outside the class well. He was the funniest professor I've ever had and a great person. If you want an interesting and helpful professor, take Mr. Parker!
Best and most fun teacher at north ga! Test questions are pretty much the online quizzes and he's extremely helpful. He posts all the notes online and you don't need the book, just pay attention in class. The examples he uses are hilarious and we watched a lot of YouTube. And he's super hot ;)
Mr. Parker is extremely helpful and easy to listen to. Study his quizzes and his notes in order to do well on his tests. His tests are a little tricky and worded to confuse you. He is funny and easy going, and I highly recommend his class!
We were his 1st online class- so he was working a few kinks out. You must stay on top of your work for his online course, or else you will not do well. You need the book for the tests. Layout: weekly discussions, quizzes, and 4 tests and a final. EC paper-- DO IT. It's six pages but it helps so much. He is super helpful and is fair. Recommended.
Love this teacher! He is super funny and helpful. He is also super hot!
Awesome professor! He's funny and is really good at explaining the material. I'm pretty sure he is the only professor who teaches BUSA2810 on the Dahlonega campus, so every business major will have to take him. Don't bother getting the book, but do the online quizzes and print and study his notes!
Dr. Parker is by far the BEST professor I have ever had at UNG. I have had him for Business Law and Labor Management and you do have to study to get an A but he makes class so fun it's worth it. I actually enjoyed going to his class even though it was MWF at 8am. TAKE HIM!
Dr. Parker is by far the BEST professor I have ever had at UNG! He loves people who sit in the front row and who attend every class/most of them. He is funny and always shows random YouTube videos. His tests do require some studying if you want to make an A. He only gives tests. no quizzes/ hw assignments. TAKE HIM!!!!
Took the class because it was required. Never went over anything and had numerous problems on tests and quizzes. Also never engaged the students on the inlines discussions. Had us buy a book we were never gonna use.
Victor Parker is by far the best professor I have ever had in School. If you stay involved in the class and ask questions you will learn a ton. He is very awesome and out going and helpful when you ask for help. Please if you have to take BUSA 2810 take this man. Not a better teacher or Professor alive.
The online course is harder than the traditional course, but Mr. Parker provides his lecture notes so you understand his points on the material. There are weekly discussion posts and quizzes. The quizzes are the hardest part of the class. If you don't study you won't do well on them due to the time limit. Overall, a tough but great class!
Hes a little goofy to me but hes pretty informed about law and he gives a pretty basic powerpoint lecture and tells boring stories, except for his kitten story, beware.
Wonderful Professor who actually cares about what his students learn. He makes class interesting to go to and is actually pretty funny. It is a tough class and I fought for my B, but if you write the 8 page extra credit essay you will do well in his class. Take him if possible because he will go pretty fast. If you cannot get him as a teacher WAIT
A nice, fair professor with a fairly tough topic. If a test or quiz question isn't accurate, he let me argue my case for why I should get credit, and often gave me the credit. Overall, I highly recommend him.
Parker makes the class very interesting, but you have to put in the effort to get a good grade. Would take him again in a heartbeat.
Mr. Parker was a great professor. Even though his tests were fairly difficult, students were rewarded by their efforts. Class felt like a small group, making it much more fun. He makes you earn your grade, but genuinely wants students to succeed and will do everything he can to make sure you don't fail as long as you show effort.
Mr. Parker was a great professor! I had him for an 8 am, and he always made lecture interesting. Test were on the easier side, but still had to study. You don't need to the book, never even opened it. We used mylab online, but it wasn't for a grade. Study the power points and look over his notes and you'll do just fine.
Awesome professor. He was very nice and seemed to care a lot about his students. We had 4 tests. This is what your grade consisted of and that was it. There was a decent extra credit assignment at the end of the semester to add 3 points to your final grade. Would take him again!
I took him online & he NEVER once replied to a single email I wrote all semester long. Idk how he gets away w/that. I think he's rude b/c of it but apparently he's nice in class from other reviews I see. Don't expect to feel like there's an actual teacher in your online course, it feels like a machine & no person is there. It was an easy A though!!
If you show up to class and go to his office hours there's no way you won't pass. Participation means a lot to him, and he's always willing to help. He's honestly the best professor i've ever had.
Lectures are awesome. Hes hilarious and engaging. He puts all his lecture material online in the form of the power points he uses and a much more detailed word document. If you study those and do the quizzes he puts on D2L (not mandatory, just to help you study), youll pass the class easy. You have to really try to fail his class.
He gives you extra credit and helps you on the test. I took him online and he replied back to me fast. I defiantly recommend him!!
I took this class online and it was great. I learned so much and didn't have a hard time on the quizzes or tests as long as I read the material as I went. This class was great. 10/10 would definitely take Parker again.
BEST PROF EVER! just listen in class, he puts notes on D2L. Only 2 papers and they're fairly easy. I wouldn't say "easy A", but he is really great at integrating real-world examples into class. he's fun to talk to, and his tests are straight from powerpoint, notes, and quizzes he puts online (for practice)
Dr. Parker's extra credit opportunity can give you three points on your overall grade. Its a lot of work but not difficult, do it! He does take attendance but doesn't off for absences unless you're absent A LOT. He is very funny, helpful, and understanding. Do his optional quizzes before every test, they really help! Take this class FOR SURE.
Mr. Parker is amazing! I loved having him and felt like he actually wanted to teach us material instead of try and trip us up on tests. Would recommend taking his practice quizzes before the tests. Four test grades with up to 3 extra credit points on your final grade. Needed the book for half a second for part of test 2. Can miss a couple classes.
He's wording in his tests can be confusing if you don't reread it, and the practice quizzes are a must if you want to do well. He has a extra credit case brief thats pretty easy do that and you should be alright.
Only has 3-4 tests through the semester, to include the final. But He is very informative and funny.
Parker is the best professor I've ever had. He makes his class super engaging, and he makes it easy to understand. He's also very caring and funny. It's also easy to make an A in his class if you take time to really understand the powerpoints.
One of my favorite professors on this campus. He's very amiable and wants everyone to do well, but filters out those who *clearly* don't put in any effort. I found his lectures very engaging, as his commentary is both hilarious and relatable. I had the class that was scheduled early in the AM, but never loathed wanting to go like other classes.
Professor Parker was a really funny dude. His classes were interesting enough that I didn't mind going each Friday afternoon. The class is easy, I never opened the book that I bought and still got a B easily. He lets you bring a cheat sheet of a page of notebook paper to each test. Tests are just like his practice quizzes on D2L.
Only 3/4 tests but they're *detailed* so STUDY THE PRACTICE QUIZZES!! He's super funny & really cares. Participate in class, he gives EC for never missing a day & for other things. Only 2 papers, 1 is mandatory but not graded & 1 is EC if I remember correctly. Print off & study the PPs, you'll write a lot bc he doesn't approve of computers in class
TAKE HIM! I absolutely loved professor parker. He's amazing and very easy to work with. You'll actually learn something, test dates are reasonable albeit short notice. Just do your work, participate in class discussions, and listen. PS. you get a page of notes to bring in for each test, handwritten, back and front 8.5 X 11. Amazing!!
Parker was an awesome professor and very funny. His lectures were based on a powerpoint/textbook, and it is very important to take notes and memorize terms to better understand the material. We only had 3 tests, which could be very difficult to understand, but I would use practice quizzes to get used to the way he asks questions.
Professor Parker has lots of experience as a lawyer and businessman. He really knows what he's talking about and always has interesting stories to go along with the concepts. Most of our grades came from tests with a small group paper at the end of the semester. The test are pretty easy and come mostly from the lectures. Great professor!!
One of my favorite professors at UNG! His lectures were always so fun to listen and participate in and I actually enjoyed attending his class. Take him 100% in class!
One of the best professors I've ever had, and one of the best professors at UNG. If you're taking legal environment of business, take it with this professor. He has great lectures, and a lot of real world experience. I only wish i could've been to more of his classes because I took the class during COVID.
He's a good guy and a decent professor, it was just difficult to have a heavily online version of the class. If it had been fully in person, I probably could've managed an A. He tells great stories in class!!
Parker is a great teacher and very clear with his lectures. class is not mandatory, but you get a lot out of class if you go. Easy online quizzes and discussions every week. only four tests, but they can directly from quizzes. If you are a business major, Parker is a great option. you don't really need the text book, but it does help.
As others have noted, I too took this class in the spring of 2020. The lectures were terrific, but I did not get to receive the latter half of them. The class was an absolute hoot. It makes you feel like you're just listening to fun stories instead of learning. The exams can be tricky. He will tell you the first day that you don't need the book.
His lectures are full more of him telling stories that relate to the content from his days as a lawyer than just reading off the slide, and it's great that way. Weekly quizzes and discussion posts (I hate discussions so the only reason why this class is a "3" difficulty for me) and test questions come directly from the quizzes.
He is a great teacher! He listens well and teaches and answers lots of questions. He is excellent. I would highly recommend.
Victor Parker is a very engaging teacher and knows his stuff when it comes to business law and putting them in real-world examples. He tells fun and engaging stories that relate to the topic. Definitely one of my favorite teachers!
Parker is the best professor. While the tests account for alot of your grade just study and you'll be fine. He tells awesome stories and keeps you engaged for the class. No need to get the textbook he even tells you that. There is an extra credit that you can do for 3 points on final grade. Take him you will not regret it. I would take him again.
Parker is probably the best professor I've ever taken. He's incredibly funny, naturally. He cares a lot about his students and gives the best examples for what he is teaching. I never missed a day of class simply because I loved hearing him talk. The content is not bad, pretty self-explanatory. Tests are harder but manageable.
Professor Parker is absolutely hilarious. He is the most entertaining professor I have ever had. He makes you want to go to class because of how funny he is. All quizzes are on socratic and are easy grades. Test are all in person, and can sometimes be kind of difficult. Overall, great class with a great professor.
Man is the absolute best teacher I have had in college. His material is not easy to understand but he really works with you. He rounded my grade from a high C to a B. He also offers 3 points of extra credit to your overall grade.
This is definitely the best professor I have had. He has an example for everything he teaches and he tells you what is important to know for the test. The quizzes, which are ungraded, you can redo as much as you want and the test is setup the exact same as the quiz. Posts lectures and notes online. Im going to take him for as many classes as I can
Professor parker is awesome Hilarious lectures, and great real-world examples, the course covers a lot of material but he'll even say you don't need the textbook, you only need to buy the ethics book which wasn't much. His tests can be pretty tough but utilize the practice quizzes and video lectures and you'll do great. Very caring and informative.
Dr. Parker does a great job of presenting the materials in class. If you want to pass the tests, use his practice quizzes because they use the same format for questions as his test. Read the textbooks to supplement the in-class content he tells you to, especially the ethics content. Overall he is an outstanding professor.
Parker is super funny and such a nice guy. Not too difficult of a class and offers extra credit. Do the weekly discussion and you will be fine. Also you can bring a cheat sheet on all tests and final!!
Best teacher at this school hands down. Hilarious and actually teaches you in an interesting way. Learned a lot about real-life stuff. If you use the cheat sheet he lets you have and you do the practice quizzes I don't see how you couldn't get an A. Packback, four tests, an easy ethics assignment, and extra credit is only grades. TALK IN HIS CLASS!
Professor Parker is one of the best Professors at UNG. His lectures are very interesting and make the class relatable to anyone who shows up and puts forth some effort. His tests were in-person and more conceptual-based. Follow his PowerPoint, take notes, and you'll be fine.
Professor Parker rocks. His lectures are extremely entertaining. If you come to class and take decent notes it should be easy to make a good grade. His tests can be challenging but he gives a lot of extra credit opportunities and bonus points. Extremely fun class, I highly recommend.
He talks A LOT. He uses powerpoints and they wasn't too difficult. The tests were based on the lectures. He tried to use drawings too. Interactive with the front row. I got a C but feel like I should've got a B. Attendance isn't required but he takes it and looks at it for grade rounding.
I enjoyed Prf. Parker's course He was an amazing professor and made the class really enjoyable There are discussions to turn in every wk and he goes into a lot of depth about ea. unit to help you understand the material
Honestly great guy but not a great teacher. He spends up to half of classes just telling his personal stories then you have to take home a bunch of work or watch additional lectures because there "wasn't time" in class to go over them. Also makes you purchase additional materials outside of class that adds up to about $100 but is essential to pass
The best advice I can give is TALK IN HIS CLASS!! Prof. Parker thrives when he can interact with his students and is very personable. Helps with some questions on the test and even posts "quizzes" (not required) on D2L that will help you get a preview of the concepts on the test. Listen to lectures, take notes, and do the weekly discussions.
Great professor, his class was a lot of fun because he used good examples to describe what we were learning instead of just reading off a power point. The practice quizzes are almost exactly like the tests and he lets you have a page of notes.
Professor Parker is one of the best professors in the school of business. If you talk to him in class you will do good. He loves to get to know his students. 4 test that were super easy if you study just a little bit and pay attention in class. Overall super easy class and excellent professor
There is nothing but positive feedback for this professor. Dr. Parker is hilarious and engaging. Fantastic class atmosphere and clearly communicates expectations. His passion for teaching law is evident, which made this class enjoyable and effective. Highly recommend his classes!
Hands down one of the best professors I've ever had. Is incredibly funny and interacts with his students. His lectures are easy to follow and understand, all you need to do is memorize them for the tests. One of the best classes I've ever taken.
He was a great professor with a great sense of humor, but he'd waste the first few minutes of class talking about things, leaving us a shorter amount of time to learn the material because he wouldn't let us get off track from the syllabus. I'm not majoring in business so maybe it was just hard because of that, but he is still a nice professor.
He does not require attendance but if you skip most of the days he can take off up to 20 percent of your final grade. The tests are concept based and can prove to be difficult.
He gives a funny story for every topic covered. As long as you take the practice tests before all the tests, you will do good in the class!
He is a really engaing professor and he has a funny story for every topic we cover in class. His stories are genuinely hilarious and they make the class very entertaining. I would definetly recommend taking his class. His tests are't too hard either.
Professor Parker gave amazing and funny lectures! He also was very reasonable with assigning homework, usually giving you a week to a month to do an assignment. He also assigned an optional bonus that could bump your grade up by 3%! A great professor that I would highly recommend!
Says some interesting things & talks a lot before starting class/exams but a really great & funny lecturer. Provides easy-to-read PowerPoints & practice tests, & allows a note sheet for exams, they can be tricky but you'll do fine. Do the extra credit if you can (it's worth a lot) & talk in class, he loves it when you interact & ask questions.
Amazing Professor! Excellent lectures that are fun, engaging, and thoughtful. He is always happy to help and support his students. He will work with you if you ask him to. Great Professor overall!
Professor Parker is one of the best professors here at UNG. My advice for him is to TALK and engage with him in class. He will round you up if you participate and show you care about your grade. Extra credit gives you 3 points added to your final grade. Great professor overall. Highly recommend. Visit him during office hours. That helped me a lot.
Prof. Parker's class is engaging but can be challenging. His lectures are insightful, and engaging with him in class helps a lot. Unstuck AI and the textbook are great supplements for test prep.
Professor Parker makes Legal Environment of Business interesting. All assignments are either McGraw-Hill's or Packback's (discussion boards). The only thing is that tests are in person on scantrons, but he provides those for his class. Other than that, probably my favorite professor here so far!
He has the best personality out of any teacher on campus. He is very knowledgeable and supplements all his content with personal experience/ and or real world examples. Would very much recommend this teacher. *chili pepper*
I love Dr.Parker, I have taken him previously for his Legal Environment of Business class but this is nothing like that content at all. This class revolves a lot around interactions in the workplace. You have 3 presentations throughout the semester and overall he makes the class very fun. I would highly recommend taking this class with him.
Decent professor. There are two homework assignments which are packback and McGrawl Hill. Those homework automatically gives you a 100 if you complete before the due date. He let us use a hand written notes before the test. If you want to know how you expect to do in the class, go to office hours and he will able to answer any question you have.
Good guy cares about his students and relates to students in his teaching.
Absolute legend, guy used to get sendy in college and integrates great life stories into his teachings. He genuinely cares about every students mental health and that they excel in his class. light work load class.
people love parker but i did not. his tests were hard no matter how much i studied and his lectures were extremely boring and off topic. do not expect him to ever respond to your emails. he gives up to 3 points of extra credit if you write an essay. he uses packback and mcgraw hill for HW. i failed every test and still passed with a B.
Mr Parker is hilarious and cares about his students. If you have questions, go to his office hours. His test is hard and the materials were not helpful at all. His lectures are super boring.
Please take Professor Parker-- he's absolutely hilarious. I thoroughly enjoyed sitting in the front of his class, and I always appreciated talking with him during class.
