I really enjoyed her class. She is young and relates well with students. Class is an easy A or B. You have three easy 50 question multiple choice tests.She gives you a study guide for each test. Lectures are very interesting. I highly recommend her.

I took her in spring 06. It is a very interesting class. The exams are easy. You have a couple of assignments but they are easy too. The whole class is easy, take her.

very good teacher! its really important to take notes everyday..there is an outline shes follows so the lectures are easy to follow. for tests- she gives out a list of whats on the test, make flashcards of each one and you'll get an A!

Great lecture, easy to understand with good examples. Just she gets carried away sometimes and runs out of time to cover all materials. Take good notes and you should pass this class with ease. Attendance is mandatory and you need to concentrate in class, it shouldn't be too hard since she's a hottie. :)

She's a young professor, so she can relate to a lot of her students. The subject is boring, but she makes it interesting. Her class isn't too hard, just do the reading and study for the tests. There's only a couple written assignments she gives out, which are easy A's.

Overall a good professor. Her power point makes taking notes easy, and helps to make the concepts easier to understand. she gives lots of examples and relates everything to the real world. Take notes and pay attention in class and you should do fine. The textbook is not necessary, except for her 2 or 3 five point quizzes.

This class is very easy as long as you take notes and review the study guides. there are 3 tests and 1 essay, which is also very easy if you just follow her directions. Take this class if you want an A.

she provides an outline of her lecture. you just takes useful notes that will help you study well for the exams. there are 3 exams, 1 final, and 4 writing packets. her exams are multiple choice only. class can be a bore sometimes cuz all she does is just talk. dont bother to buy the book cuz all her info is on the outline.

elmquist is legit. don't need the book unless you want to read along. lectures whole time. takes attendance. test all multiple choice, and couple papers. go to class, take notes, participate, and you'll pass easily. easy A, and she's good looking.

I loved loved this class. I have taken Soc 101 twice before & dropped them because I found it to be so boring. But taking it with Prof. Elmquist, I am actually considering changing my major to Sociology. Her lectures are interesting & so real with every day to day life! I truly recommend her class!

She's real. Easy tests with study guides. Actually interested in her students and the subject. Learned a lot while remaining entertained. Halfway apply yourself and you'll get an A.

This is a pretty easy class. She lectures the whole time, take notes and you won't have to read much. The only thing that was frusterating was that her expectations for the major paper weren't clear and when several students asked her about being marked down for something she didn't include in the papers guidlines she got somewhat defensive.

She is a good teacher, talks a lot about things that may not be on topic but other than that shes fun and outgoing. Exams are easy enough if you do the study guide.

As far as community college teachers go, Victoria is very desirable. She is a captivating lecturer & has a good sense of her student's needs & abilities. 1 paper, 2 quizzes, 1 article review, 2 exams, 1 final-- ALL EASY! Study guides are provided. Getting an A is totally do-able. You will laugh a lot, you will learn a lot & you will like her a lot!

Miss Elmquist is the BEST! She's very funny & engaging and goes through the material step-by-step. She'll tell you EXACTLY what you need to know in order to remember the material and do well on the tests.Just take lecture notes & pay attention :) Also, she's great at working with individual students who need extra help.

First day of class, she gave us her cell phone number & said if we need help or have questions, we can call her anytime. So friendly, & always upbeat. One of my favorite professors! :)

She is an amazing professor who challenges you to think differently about things that you may believe in. She is respectful in her classes and is very eager to help anyone who asks for it. There are 3 tests total, one paper and 2 pop quizzes. If you read the book and pay attention to lecture you will do amazing in the class.

To be honest, you don't really need the book. It helps, but... Her lectures are comprehensive and cover every test question. Her tests are easy as well because she gives study guides hinting directly at which questions will be asked. She is a great lecturer and highly interesting, I def. recommend.

Victoria is one of the most engaging teachers I have ever had. Her passion for sociology and teaching is very apparent. You must attend class for she covers a lot of material in each class. Tests are primarily based on lecture with some questions from the text. Her class isn't hard though. But her class is very applicable to everyday life.

Awesome teacher. it's clear that she loves the subject and she puts the material into real life scenarios. The class can be tiring since it's a 2 hour class but it doesn't feel like it drones on. The tests are very easy bu make sure to use the study guides she gives you and read the summary and reviews at the end of each chapter (in the book).

Took her online during Spring 2014. You had to read the book in order to pass the exams. Sociology wasn't my major or speciality, but it was good to learn something out of this field! She is a friendly professor both in-class and online! Take her, you won't regret it!

An AMAZING professor! If my partner did not have his bachelor's in Sociology already and I hadn't seen how he struggled to find a job I would of probably switched my major to Soc. I still remember it was a 7 am class two years ago and I HAPPILY woke up to attend her class! I fell in love with Soc, i'm a CIS major with minor in Soc just for fun!

Had an easy time in this class. pay attention to her lectures as she tells you what is on the test and what is not. 3 exams about 6 quizzes and 1 major paper. Easy A+ on the reflection paper as it is about yourself.

I took Elmquist at 7:00am and her lectures always kept me awake! She is very straight forward about what is on the tests because she does give study guides. Only one major paper but it is super easy because it is about yourself. Review before the exams and it will be an easy class.

This class is easy if you actually attend and take notes and just make sure to use the study guide she provides for each exam, has all the terms that will be on it. After taking this course, I decided that I wanted to be a sociology major, really found this class interesting and she is a great professor.

Her lectures are very organized and clear. She is very interesting and has a great sense of humor. She also very clearly cares for her students. She gives a study guise for each exam listing explicitly what will be on the test. Her class is an easy A just make sure you do the study guides and turn in he very little homework she assigns.

this teacher was amazing! favorite so far at FJC. lectures covered everything on all exams - i will say, at the beginning of the course (first 3 weeks or so) she would have quiz's on information we were supposed to read in the book, but after that i didn't touch the book once. Grading: 4 (i think) exams and a paper which is easy overall, easy A!

She is by far one of my favorite professors I've taken at Fullerton college! She is so caring and understanding. The test are the exact same thing as the notes taken in class and wow she has this awesome essay assignment that she gives her students after for 4 weeks into the semester which really helps self-reflect. she is great!

Don't take any other sociology teacher. she's all you'll need. Passionate about the subject she teaches and you can't say that about many teachers. Lectures were interesting just about every single class period. Tests were not that hard, especially if you studied. Show up to class everyday and you'll be fine.

Great prof. she is really dedicated to her job, she actually lives up north and flies here every week just to teach class. Her lectures were very detailed and she is one of the most kind and hardworking professors i have ever met. Her Test were difficult but if you read the text book you'll pass. Lectures are amazing. She is very passionate and funny. I am taking another one of her classes this following semester . Be ready to take notes, if you plan on skipping class you'll most likely fail. One essay that is worthe 100 points. Surprisingly got 100% A* and I literally wrote about myself (biography) pop quizzes are worth 10 points.

AMAZING!! I was worried on the first day bcs she said she only gives a few big quizzes and a report but she gives a study guide for every test that has EVERY question you need for the tests and she tells you exactly what she wants for the essay. Her class was lecture based and included class discussions with topics at least twice every class. She is very nice and challenges you to think about things and discuss what/how things mean to you. Very clear grading criteria; always knew when tests and quizzes were. Would take again.

I looked forward to going to her 7AM class, because her lectures were so fun. She is an amazing professor and just a truly good person in general.
