Ms. G. is great. Don't know what other is talking about. Discussions go deep into literature which really helps for your papers. She does expect you to analyze everything to the nth degree. But Ms. G. always keeps it real. A real laid back woman.

I didn't really care for the topics and some of the literature she chose for the class, but she was a great teacher and I learned a lot. She made it easy to understand literature and allowed students to form their own opinions without expect one interpretation. The only thing that was a pain was her focus on analysis. Hardcore expectations there.

I hate writing essays, but they were for the most part on good topics. She lets you choose. I actually learned a lot. I didn't know it until my last essay, but I realized how much I learned in going over the checklist she gives for the final essay to make sure you have all the stuff you need. She's funny and caring, a great combination.

Prof. G. is the bomb. I never realized that there was so much to writing more than grammar. But, there is, and this is the place to learn that. I was enrolled in Brooks class at the same time and my essay grades went up in his classes too. She's not kidding when she says other profs value critical thinking as much as grammer

Prof. G. is amazing. I've had her for 1101 &1102, and I've learned a lot about writing. Do the journals, stay caught up with the drafts, and go to the writing center if you need grammer help, and listen when she says ask why and how and you will do well. Her essays are complex, but if you stop by during her office hours, she'll explain completely.

If you do the readings and don't make things too complicated, it's an easy class. She tells you exactly what to do for the essay assignments, and if you've read, you know what the assignment means. She doesn't care what you think but you've gotta show her that you know how to think - thoroughly. She's really helpful if you go to her office.

In her class now for summer a. So far everything she has asked for we have gone over in class. I'm actually learning how to write sentences for the first time. She makes it easy, gives you structures to follow so you don't mess up. And she's funny as hell.

She was pretty awesome, always kept you interested in what she was talking about, and involved a lot of pop culture to class. I actually enjoyed english for the first time!

I spent 2 hours in her office before an essay was due. Her assignments are difficult because she doesn't tell you exactly what she wants you to say. But go to her office hours, and she'll question ya till you figure out what YOU want to do. It was pretty cool that she cared that we write about stuff that interests us instead of her. thumbs up

GREAT Professor! She clearifies everything for your understanding. Peer review required and makes sure that you are ready to move to the next level of writing. She grades based on your improvement. Great way of grading. I would recommend her to anyone. If you want to improve in your writing pick her and do your homework which is alot but worth it!

Nice teacher. Class discussions are fun and entertaining. For the most part an easy class. Grades mostly on completion of activity, not level of work. A lot of group work and peer reviews. If you go to the writing center you get 3 extra credit points per essay.

If you want to pull your hair out with the amount of busy work that you have to do then by all means take this teacher. Her assignments aren't always clear and she says that she will collect things and how important they are but she hardly dose. Her quiz's are not to difficult but they are a challenge. Lots of online work.

She's a bit quirky but you will love her. It'll take you at least half the semester to figure out what she wants you to write but that's just because she because she expects you to be real. 3 essay assignments and 1 revision and is fair in grades.

Professor G is one of my favorite professors. I took her for ENC 1101 and 1102. Final grades are based off of four essays, class participation, and one or two quizzes. She is very helpful and easy to talk to if you are confused about an essay and have questions. Do the readings, formulate your own opinions, and participate in discussions= A.

Looks your typical literature type, but you come to know otherwise pretty quick. In class discussions (like 20% of the grade), she adds twist to make you think outside the box. Not in a pushy way though. She actually wants you to think on your own. Just be able to back up what you say. No textbook-creates her own. $30+ to print. And always helpful.

She is an awesome teacher. She is willing to work with you and help you in what you need. You dont use a textbook. You just write 4 Essays in the whole class, nothing else. No Tests!She is very interesting and funny/sarcastic. Her class is not stressful.

No textbook. Each week, you get a packet covering what you need to know for that week. You cannot pass weekly quizzes without reading it. Most of the work is toward the essay draft. Professor G is AMAZING!!! You will enjoy her class and love writing for her. She is gracious on grading, encouraging, and AVAILABLE!!! My only complaint is that she is a bit unorganized but it ends up working in your favor. She is lenient in attendance and gives lots of constructive critiques to help you improve your skills. TAKE HER!!!

Professor G inspired me to want to be a teacher. She is by far the BEST professor I have had and will ever have!

She provides weekly packs instead of a textbook. They were easy to understand and follow. The online work could have been better organized but she warned the class that this was her first time teaching an online course so kinda expected. She helped me by email when I was lost which was a real plus. Overall pretty painless for an english class.

I loved my ENC1101 class. I took it over summer. We did 5 mini essays, a research paper and about 20journals, which were super easy.She really takes the time to go through your essays and gives you excellent feedback.My writing improved a lot. I couldn't take her for my ENC1102 because of my schedule.A little disorganized but overall is excellent.

She's a pretty great person, but I'm not sure if I see her as a real teacher/professor. I think she has a huge interest for the things she teaches and relates well to others, but I don't feel a connection with her class. I would recommend taking her film class, it could be so much worse. She just needs to structure herself better.

Great Teacher! she gives students a whole lot of slack at the end of the semester. But throughout the semester there is a few papers required and peer responses and like 3 quizzes then your done. she offers extra credit too. If you get any thing less than a B then you should just drop out.

Prof. Grajeda is by far the best teacher I've ever had. She doesn't just give you stuff to do and leave it at that. She is there to ask questions and will listen to whatever you have to say. Other than that she's super funny and easy to listen to. Highly recommend her if you need to take comp 1 or 2

Professor makes her lectures interesting and relates them to our everyday lives. Since it was hybrid the online work was a little confusing especially to find but if you emailed her or had any questions she was always there to help. I would absolutely take her again. Overall she's an amazing person, very cool and understanding. She went through some personal stuff this semester so I cant blame her for being a tad bit unorganized. ProfG is extremely knowledgeable makes you support your POV. Very understanding wants you to passdo well. Quizzestests are easy if you pay attentionread what she tells you. If youre an adult you shouldnt be offended by what she asks you to read its for a reason. Expect to write, lengthy but interesting lectures and gives awesome useful feedback

I plan on going back to school to get my masters in English so I can be a professor like her. Her class consist of studying poems,short stories, movies & music. If you love debating, take her! I just finished her online intro to film class and I loved it, it was very laid back. I didnt stress out too much. great class if you need a 5th class or just dont wanna be on campus for 4 classes. But you have to do the discussions which are 750 words then respond to other studnets and the discussion were kinda hard but dont miss any!!!! easy A!!!

Professor G is awesome! Such an improvement from my ENC 1 professor (East Campus Leonard). The readings are sometimes obnoxious but it isn't too much to not be able to complete it. She is totally relaxed and listens to crazy metal bands. The literature, music and movies we talked about (Even Django) are GREAT TASTE. Seriously, take her.

This teacher was great. She took her time to help everyone with whatever they needed and wasnt strict on turning this in on time because it was a hybrid class. she made things understandale, interesting when having to write papers, and fun. Just do your work when you have to and you'll pass without a doubt.

It's English comp - expect to write. She does have fun ways of selecting papers to write though, and I appreciated the wide range of subject matter. She does not use a book, she offers up selected materials that range from music videos to book excerpts. Very interesting class. Read the material, listen to her notes, and you will pass.

My only issue was that she takes a WHILE to grade your work. So working ahead can be an issue when you need feedback on your essays and other assignments to proceed.

I loved her online English comp class, I got an A. She gives a wide range of subjects to choose from, so you are bound to find something to be interested enough to write a good essay in. Last essay was a revision essay where you could just go back and add a few paragraphs to your favorite essay. Take it, do the work and you'll get an A.

I took her online, and her Canvas structuring is a tiny bit disorganized. Ex: the dates are outdated and still had the ones from the previous semester. She did strive to make it up and I was able to maintain above a 100 for the entire course. She does offer extra credit through submitting WCs on time, following directions. Very kind and lenient.

I took this class online and it was an easy A. There are some assignments that require more reading and writing than others. The quizzes are based on the readings and most of the answers you can look up. The only thing I didn't enjoy about the class was the literary events and would highly suggest going to plays for them. To be honest, I struggled with this class due to the heavy workload, and I didn't always understand the assignments but that was because I procrastinated the whole semester. Professor Grajeda was very understanding of what I went through, and gave me extensions - it was not the easiest class, but I would definitely recommend reaching out to her.

The people claiming anything bad about this professor, most are losers. No other way to put it. I am in high school but am dual enrolled in 4 college classes, which is already a big load. Some assignments are a little confusing but she's only an email away. This semester she got sick so we had a sub but I still passed with a 97... Great class!

Wanted to update something from my last review where I said I got a 97. I actually have a 100.5. Also, just FYI the work is spread out nicely so you have a good outline to write the essay. When I say essay, don't feel stressed, it's actually enjoyable and easy.

Gave around 2 assignments per week- fairly simple discussions on articles or essays, and a grammar quiz. She always provided detailed descriptions or videos of what needs to be completed that week. I really enjoyed her class, and she always gave tons of time to turn in work. I did really well in her class and would recommend her.

LOTS OF WRITING! However, I didn't mind this at all and I thought many of the prompts for discussion posts or essays were actually interesting. Prof. Grajeda was also very understanding when I was having issues turning in my assignments on time due to some personal circumstances. Professor Grajeda is an absolute gem. Reading through the lecture modules will give you a laugh since she's always slipping in a joke. She has been incredibly helpful, compassionate and is an all-around amazing professor. You write 4 papers for the class and have a final exam of 2 paragraphs for the same points as a whole paper based on feedback.

Taking this course has been amazing. Her feedback on assignments is quick & very thorough. She helps you understand what you need to work on & gives examples of how you can fix it. This course was flexible. The explanations and examples for some of the assignments were a bit confusing or overwhelming, so they could be a little better. Her late policy is very forgiving, sometimes giving up to a week to submit for full credit. Compassionate professor with a rigorous class. Interesting lessons with jokes and anecdotes throughout them. Tough grader but gives very in depth feedback with direct pointers to improve as well as EC. Communicates well. responds to emails relatively quickly and is easy to talk to. Great for students who are serious about improving their writing.

Lessons and assignments weren't difficult as the 3 major essays were broken up into smaller assignments so it wasn't as daunting when final drafts were due. The constructive criticism received after each assignment was really helpful and any questions I had were answered promptly. Prof. G also has a forgiving late policy and is very understanding.

Professor Grajedas course covers a lot of ground so be prepared to read and make notes, the assignments are challenging but fun and her grading system shows awareness of the fact that this is an introductory film class full of mostly novice film enthusiasts.I personally have been dealing wit some health issues and Professor Grajeda has been kind.

When choosing my classes for this semester, I didn't know which professor to choose. I saw this class, with P. Grajeda. Now that the semester is over, I have nothing bad to say. I have a lot of new knowledge. I learned a lot in this class and in each of the assignments. She is a very organized teacher, and each assignment had clear instructions.

Overall, I really liked this class. I am a dual enrollment student and as one of my first classes I feel like it was a good one. I think the course load is good and is paced well. The assignments helped when it came time to write the essays. She gives good feedback and opportunities to improve.

I enlisted in the Navy during the semester and I couldn't always meet deadlines, but she was so understanding and supportive the whole time. This is the best structured class I have taken so far. She does a very good job at guiding students through all assignments. She's the only professor that has given me substantial feedback, and helpful input, which has helped a immensely. I am going through a difficult time and she has extended the deadlines, which has helped me a lot.

Prof G. has been very helpful in all of her critiques. The class itself is not a lot of work, but it will involve a lot of writing that is usually worth a big chunk of your grade, so keep that in mind. With all of the essays I have written so far in this class she has provided through and helpful feedback for each one of them withoutfail.

This class was overall a positive and enriching experience. It was well-organized, and the assignments were meaningful—not just busy work. Since it is a composition class, you do have to write a lot, but it's totally manageable. There are three big essays, and the rest is homework. It never felt overwhelming. 100% recommended.

This is my favorite professor in Valencia College, I took her for Freshman comp 1 and 2, and I cannot even describe how thoughtful and comprehensive she is, I only wanted to take comp 2 if she was my professor! Super great professor! She has 3 big essays throughout the semester but gives you enough time to complete them! Her assignments were spread out very well and the rubrics were always clear. She gave lots of useful feedback and is super understanding! She has a grace period for every assignment which is really helpful and beneficial. Would take again

6 week summer class. Good professor but sometimes took points off for the smallest things which I felt were subjective. The assignments were easy to do in a short amount of time. This professor was slightly disorganized though and did not answer emails. Despite all this I think this professor is one of the best options out there.

I'm glad I chose professor Grajeda. Each week we have one discussion assignment that usually includes reading a short text, a creative element, and a written reflection. I love how her assignments connect "traditional" and contemporary literature, and I've really enjoyed the course. Only complaint is sometimes she takes a few days to respond.

Prof. Gradeja gives very helpful feedback, discussing areas for improvement. Her responses through Canvas are very helpful and she gets back very quickly. Her late work policy is very fair, but the grading is a little harsh. The class is organized, but just be prepared to write a lot! Definitely recommend having her as a professor!

Material wasn't hard, but a bit time consuming. Workload consisted of one discussion per week with a 2 week break before moving into the final project. Prof. G is very accommodating & understanding that things happen & will allow you ample time to understand and complete all material. Gives great feedback but does take a little bit to grade things.

If you're looking for a dual enrollment credit as a current high school student, this class was easier than any advanced english high school course. I was able to complete the assignments within a day, and there was only one a week. It got heavier near the end, so if you are dual enrolling I would take this as a first semester class.

I took ENC 1101 with Professor O'Neal, and I highly recommend her class. She is very organized and clearly explains assignments, which makes it easier to understand expectations. Her feedback on essays is detailed, helpful, and always returned in a timely manner. The comments she gives are not just corrections, they help improve your work.

Ms. Grajeda I thought was a great professor she would always send long paragraphs of feedback on how to improve and would also let us resubmit.

Prof. Grajeda provided lots of helpful feedback, and there was more than enough time to complete each assignment. Although there was a lot of reading and writing involved, I still very much enjoyed this course and teacher.

Overall amazing professor! Although it is writing and reading heavy, we would only have a discussion per week and I liked how after every submission she gave me feedback showing me what I did good and what I could improve on. It helped me know what I actually need to work on in my writing. She also has extra credit opportunities!

There is a lot of writing involved and the professor gives great feedback that is very helpful for improvement. She may take a while to grade assignments sometimes, but overall she is an amazing and respectful professor.

Overall, I would 100% take Professor Grajeda again. The course is challenging but very easy to navigate and instruction as well as grading criteria is very easy to follow. This professor is also super involved in the course and gives very thorough feedback.

She is really a nice and caring professor and her class is not hard at all, I've been all the time online and I understood everything on the assignments because they are easy to follow, however, she do has a lot of reading so get ready for that, out of that she is an amazing professor and I would take her again if I could.

She has the course laid out very well and organized. It is thorough and simple to follow. But don't make the mistake of falling behind because even though she doesn't have a lot of assignments, they are very large and definitely require a lump of attention. With that being said, I will say her feedback on the assignments is top-tier.

Mrs. G is really understanding, so even though assignments may seem large, they can be completed within a short amount of time when you're given the entire week. She is really considerate of life events, and even if you submit late, the policy is lenient compared to other classes. Easy, straightforward, just don't procrastinate.

Professor G was honestly really great. The workload isn't too much to handle, but if you aren't on top of your work, it can become harder to manage. She gives really good feedback and makes her assignments pretty fun to complete. I would recommend her to anyone.

Her late work policy is really fair. She makes you do 3 big essays which aren't too bad but i think it would be better off with just 2 essays, overall a chill class.

This class is not difficult if you read everything you're writing about. Therefore, there is a lot of reading to be done, though mostly through short stories. They are manageable within a night, at 70 pages or less. There's also a good amount of writing, but her feedback is very helpful, and there will be opportunities to re-submit assignments.

Professor G. is a great, caring professor whose main goal is to help you succeed in her class. Her grading is fair and straightforward; she offers you the opportunity to have her proofread essays before turning them in, ensuring you can get the best grade possible. There's not much work and the essay's that are assigned are interesting and thought-provoking. She gives very good and detailed feedback on the essays and does not grade too harshly. Would recommend!!

Prof. Gradeja her class was great! I used to consider myself a writer until I took this class and realized I might not have been as good as I thought. The feedback off your essays and classwork were super helpful and actually made me learn something new for once. Even if your grade is low she encourages you to make up the work and is understanding!

I would recommend Professor Grajeda for anyone taking ENC1101. The course has many assignments but they are manageable with detailed instructions. She gives thorough responses (pros and cons) to help you improve. One critique is that she has taken a bit longer to grade my past few assignments. Overall, she is respectful and cares for her students!

Ms.Grajeda gives feedback that actually help you improve your level of writing. The amount of assignments is doable. However, essays might be too long and might require you more time than regular assignments.

Professor Grajeda is very kind and caring. She isn't a tough grader, gives clear instructions in all of her assignments, and replies to emails quickly. Submitting assignments late doesn't dock you too many points, and assignments never lock. If I could, I would have her teach all of my other classes.

Professor G. is an extremely fair teacher. For someone who struggles with online courses because it feels like self teaching, she made it extremely easy to understand through instructions and example videos and resources. I will recommend her class due to her responsiveness and fairness.

During my time in this class, I was terribly busy and if it wasn't for the very forgiving structure of this class I don't know if I would've been able to push past it. A true saint of a teacher as well as giving the best feedback that accurately highlights what I do good and what I can work on. Absolutely blew me away in the quality of this class!
