Very nice, professional. Very easy to contact and is always open to helping her students. Would take other classes from her if possible!!
McCrady is one of the best professors I have ever had. She has high expectations for her students but if you put in the effort she will notice and it will reflect in your grade. She uses an online book but she does not like it so it might change for future classes. Her enthusiasm for not just the class but life makes her really fun to be around.
Professor McCrady is an outstanding teacher and more importantly a great person. She is willing to help her students even after course completion. Her class is engaging and she has real life experience in the business world which makes it that much easier to actually learn what she teaches.
Prof McCrady is amazing! Having been in the corporate world for several years myself, she really highlights what you need to know to succeed. If you find yourself struggling at all in the class, she is very approachable and helpful. Overall, she has been the best of all the professors I have had so far.
The professor is very helpful and always makes an effort to help students where she can. I'm a STEM major and I still enjoyed her class. 5/5 would recommend
She is very nice and helpful. Always trying her best for the students. I would recommend you take her class for improvement in communication skills with a decent amount of homework. All you need is plan ahead and turn in all your work :)
Professor McCrady is awesome. I highly recommend her class. You will do alot of writing but her course lays the foundation for successful academic writing.
She's really goofy but she makes sure that you know what you are doing and helps you write an effective paper.
Very easy class. Easy prof. Lots papers. Easy quizes. DONT BUY THE BOOK. Very easy A.
Professor McCrady is one of the nicest and easiest instructor you will possibly have at UT Dallas. She gave really good advice for developing yourself professionally and was there for you. She was quick on responding to your emails and she ALWAYS extended the due dates. You did have to write a lot in her class but I found them to be easy. EASY A.
EASY EASY EASY E S A Y A !!!!!!!!!! 5 quizzes that are over some little book, but they are easy. Essays are given out throughout the class but they are literally easy essays. You can not show up to class and still pass, i dont know what else to say besides shes super easy.
I love her
She's a great professor always trying bring the best out of her students. She defiantly one of my favorite professors at UTD.
The best professor and human being I have ever met. She is really encouraging, inspirstional and supporting for every student. You have to take her. Easy A if you show up to the class and turn in assignments on time. Just be honest and you ll get an A++++
Very big workload in the class with tough grading
GREAT PROFESSOR! Learned a lot, and she genuinely cares about all of her students. She gives you personal feedback and asks how your day is going, even when she's having a tough time, too. She's a middle-of-the-road grader - if you put the work in, you'll get a good grade, but she doesn't just hand out As. I'm taking all of my BCOM classes with her
A very sweet albeit overburdened professor. Prepare to do work, but you should be fine.
This is a fantastic professor, I highly recommend her. She does give a lot of assignments, but they are not difficult as long as you do them and follow the instructions. There are somewhere around 16 assignments, the big ones being 2 essays, one big research paper based off of an informational interview and research, and a group presentation.
Professor McCrady is a sweet, nice lady who cares about her students. I had the pleasure to have her as my professor. I TOTALLY recommended her
Professor McCrady wants you to succeed and wants to help you succeed. She is a great professor who cares about students and loves what she does! Take her!!!
Victoria McCrady... More like Victoria EXTRA McCrady. This professor is sweet, however she is completely EXTRA. She will give you a lot of papers to write and then complain about having so much to grade. Don't expect for you to get your grade back fast. Her class is easy, however she does give a lot of assignments that are pretty lengthy.
Honestly Professor McCrady is an amazing person. Assignments aren't difficult. The big issue is she takes forever to grade. She'll continuously move back dates she promised to have things graded by. I understand she's overworked, but it becomes Really Unfair to her students. She grades some things too strictly, and others haphazardmy.
Definitely the most scattered professor I have ever had. Grades and dates are continuously moved around. You never get grades when promised. She will promise them week after week, and still never deliver so your confused on where you stand. That's the biggest issue, if you don't mind that then go for it. But her grading gives me anxiety :/
Lots of work for a 1 hour class. Hard to get in touch outside of class. Very unorganized. Due dates are constantly being changed and grades take forever to be submitted. The actual class involves presentations from various associate deans convincing you to change your major. Did not learn very much "professionalism" from the class.
More and more unorganized as semester went on. By the end major things still werent graded and she kinda went MIA, kept promising to have it done and kept failing to keep her promise. I reallyreally use to like this prof. but this semester changed that. She cool and all, but I dont trust my grades in her hands and that is a definite no no 4 a prof.
Okay so Professor McCrady was crazy overworked this semester, hence the previous comments. But honestly she is the kindest and most caring teacher you will probably ever have. Grades did take a while, but other than that she is amazing. I wish I could bottle up her energy, passion, and care and spread to all the other professors around.
The kindest Professor at UTD, she was overloaded this semester so grades took a while, but they definitely got done! If you put in effort there is no reason for you not to get an A. Her positive and bubbly personality is infectious, and she will do anything for her students. I PROMISE YOU WILL LOVE HER!!
Professor McCrady tells it like it is and really cares about each and everyone of her students. I am glad I had her as a professor and will likely keep in touch with her. The assignments aren't too difficult, but can be time consuming. She does allow you to re-do a few assignments and there is at least one extra credit opportunity.
This prof. is great!! she will let you redo any assignment and is very relaxed! She wants to give you every opportunity she can! only con is that she is very busy within the school so she might not cover grading criteria until later than desired
She's a good lecturer (off topic at times) but terrible at communicating with students. Tried to get in touch with her multiple times at the beginning of the semester and she responded 2 months later. She grades assignments late, and does not have a clear syllabus. She's also difficult to locate because she's not in her office most of the time. -_-
Professor McCrady is a great person, but is definitely overworked as a professor. She does the best she can to help you succeed, and is very approachable. The class itself is not difficult but very work intensive. She is often behind on grading papers, but she does give feedback when everything is posted. If you don't mind being flexible, take her.
Professor McCrady is a really great teacher. She is so encouraging and nice, and really cares about the future of her students!
This class did hand out a lot of homework but it was really simple and she graded easily. Granted, this grading was for a very simple two credit hour class. She was a really sweet professor. The grading was done at the very end of the semester so we did have to be patient with grades. I did enjoy this class and would recommend her.
If you're taking her your fist year beware! She's used to teaching upper level classes so she expects a lot of you. If you do what she asks you, you'll pass but might be with a C. Takes time grading papers so you prob. Won't get 1-1 feedback unless you go to office hours. Very friendly and approachable just. Amazing Professor you won't regret.
She really is great but the class is super heavy on homework. Grades from the first week of class was not posted until the last week.
Class itself is not hard but McCrady is THE most unorganized professor i have ever had!! She rarely ever gives clear instructions and changes her syllabus almost every week. On top of that, she never answers emails-- a bad combo.
Professor McCrady is a fun and understanding professor. Sometimes she can talk about irrelevant things for too long and take up class time. There are a few online quizzes and one group project. She genuinely tries to help you to succeed!
I've learned a lot from her class. It's true that she can talk too much (it wastes class time sometimes), but that's also what makes her very friendly and personable as well. Assignments include Aplia quizzes (they can all be done in the free trial period if wanted), business writings, and a semester long group project- presentation and proposal.
Professor McCrady was one of the best professors I have ever had. She makes every class enjoyable and every topic relateable. The group project she has us do was also extremely fun, don't stress about it. The skills I learned from her class will be things I know I can use in future jobs and daily life. Pick McCrady, you will thank me!
Prof. McCrady is super sweet. She is really slow at grading and giving feedback, but if you attend class, do assignments, and complete all the requirements, it's an easy A.
Very harsh grader.
Professor McCrady is truly an amazing person/professor. She not only cares about your grades, but also your physical and mental being. She is the only professor who does that. Yes, there will be a lot of busy work, but they are really easy; besides, all BCOM classes are pretty much the same. I wish I could've taken more of her classes.
Her personality is amazing. She makes classes more enjoyable. There are a lot of assignments but theyre organized well and easy to do. There is a group project where youll present in front of class. Easy quizzes online. No exams. Youll have set up an interview with a business person and ask them questions, which I didnt want to do. Easy A.
The class itself was not hard, however, she does make you work for your grade. None of the assignments are difficult and as long as you pay attention and show up to class, it's an easy A.
The thing with this class is that it's easy, but she makes it hard. It's a nice, beneficial course but the workload is insane. It's almost unnecessary. There are too many discussion board rules. Exams are sort of hard. She does have a tendency to reply to some emails and not the others. She's very sweet and understanding however. She's not too bad.
Took McCrady for 3310 & 4350 online because of COVID. Discussion posts, group project, and 2 tests. Takes a long time to grade and difficult to get in touch with. Had to email & message her through Teams several times to get a response. Class time mainly spent on going over assignments rather than info that will be tested on. Very time-consuming.
She's one of the most unorganized professors I have ever had. She would never respond to emails and was only accessible through teams. Not only that, she spent the majority of her class time talking about her personal life rather than lecturing. WOULD NOT TAKE A CLASS WITH HER EVER AGAIN.
Shes a very sweet professor but other than that this class was not good. Very unorganized with grading and due dates. Unresponsive with emails and a late grader. She gave me a 0 for assignment I did and it lowered my letter grade for the class and impacted my gpa. A lot of the work felt like busy work and unnecessary.
Although she was a very caring individual, her class was extremely unorganized and a lot of us felt like we couldve done better if she had structured the class better. She rushed through lectures at the end of class after wasting time by talking a lot. This class was not difficult but her instructions were unclear and she lacked effective feedback
The only thing I have to say is she gets off track very easily. Since sometimes we didn't have enough time to go over homework material or lectures. Also, deadlines were a little wonky, however still an easy A!
McCrady is a nice person but a very unorganized professor. Her class turns out to be pretty difficult, especially with the tests. She never responds to emails, so if you have any questions make sure to ask during virtual office hours or you will not get a reply. Definitely not an easy A, but I think there was a slight curve.
very nice professor and willing to work with you. she is lenient on due dates and it helps a lot.
She is incredibly unorganized and actually quite condescending when she speaks. She constantly changes due dates without warning, pulling them up TO THE DAY she wants them due randomly. Also, she giggles about everything which isn't a huge issue but quite distracting to be honest. The class itself isn't too hard, she ruins it being unorganized.
Her class is very disorganized & she doesnt respond to emails. She constantly changes due dates to the point where its confusing as to when something is due. Says shell post an assignment at a specific time and day, but never follows through. Everything is all over the place. This shouldnt be acceptable as its a business communication lab.
Professor McCrady is absolutely engaging and very direct. Perfect for just about any student looking to take a BCOM course!!
Professor McCrady is so engaging, funny, and caring. She is one of the sweetest and most understanding professors I have ever had. The exams are a little hard sometimes but if you do the review you should be good! Take her!
McCrady is an awesome, kind, funny, and cool professor. Her lectures are engaging and interactive despite being online this semester. My only criticism is that she is a tough grader. Usually BCOM is easy, and from what I heard, other BCOM professors are easy graders and give decent curves on exams, but McCrady did not do that. So 4, not 5.
My favorite class I took this semester. Professor McCrady made everything super easy and was always responsive of student concerns. A decent amount of work but not too overwhelming!
Prof McCrady is sweet and tries to make class interesting. However, her class involved a lot of unnecessary busy work. She gave me a 0 for an assignment that I completed and when I showed her the proof of completion, she said she would change it. After sending her 3 friendly reminder emails with no progress made, it is clear she does not care.
I had this professor for the BCOM 3300 lab. Professor McCrady is not responsive to her emails. I sent her 4 emails over the course of the semester and never got a single response. Granted, this class was still super easy, but Professor Fry was much better and clearly cared more about the class than this one. Lots of unnecessary assignments, too
Probably the least capable professor I had freshman year. She is very unorganized and does not give clear instructions or due dates, and when she does, she changes them on a whim. She also likes giving us other professors' recorded lectures instead of lecturing herself.
She has been late to teach lessons, unprepared, and gets off track often. Our and 2 more classes had to cram a unit's worth of videos in 2 weeks, and through videos that she didn't make even though she had videos ready. She didn't post them on time and proceeded to give assignments within test weeks that were counted for our final grade.
She can't respond in a timely manner and has trouble setting up videos and assignments on time, and has to push them back because they either had the wrong date or hasn't covered the lesson in the syllabus given time. She keeps updating the syllabus and this year she has given up updating it and changes the dates of the assignments some days before
I took her for BCOM 3300 Lab. Super easy labs that are due every week. Everything is laid out very organized so it's super easy to understand the work. Although some labs seem really easy, make sure to really watch the videos that she attaches to get an A. Loved her!
Professor McCrady was by far the most unorganized professor I've had so far. I understand she was going through a lot at the time but she knew about her situation and chose not to make accommodations for her student while she was gone. She is a very sweet lady and will you help if needed but she needs to work on her organization.
She is incredibly unorganized and does not make up for it. She changes due dates at the last minute and makes them earlier than she stated ahead of time, giving you no time to prepare. She does not make up for her own lack or organization. Unless you are only taking one class, don't take hers.
Taking her class caused me way too much unnecessary stress. She is very unorganized and it will affect you, especially if you take multiple classes. Be ready to be on call for her random decisions on due dates, because you will never be sure. She also doesn't answer emails or give clarity on things
Prof. McCrady is really funny and genuinely such a sweet professor. However, don't take that for granted because she can be scary when she wants to. Ironically, her communication leaves quite a bit to be desired sometimes, as assignments can be unclear and unorganized. The class isn't an easy A, so make sure you keep up with assignments and tests.
McCrady has a great personality, but her assignments are so overwhelming sometimes. She gives large documents with "instructions" but it is often ambiguous. The final assignment is a huge portfolio that needs to be VERY lengthy and it is very tiring to complete. Her exams are hard and the book heps in a minimal manner.
She's so sweet and really understanding but If you take this class be ready to work. 2 exams in the testing center you can bring 1 page of notes. Exams are not too hard but definitely not easy. Sooooo many assignments but she's generous with the deadlines. Be ready to write essays, do discussion boards & peer reviews, & do a group presentation.
Due dates will never be clear after the first two weeks, and half of the weight of the class is in the last three weeks. Impossible to contact outside class and trauma-dumps without prompt. The content is not that difficult, just be prepared to do 3-page papers the same day as assigned as they will be dropped on you without notice.
She never sticks to her syllabus, and she grades tough. Due dates are never clear, and the exams are difficult. Without putting the whole textbook on the cheatsheet, I would have done very badly. Pretty ironic how the professor is not the best communicator in a communication class.
McCrady is passionate about what she teaches, and is a really sweet person, but the class felt really disjointed. Due dates and assignment instructions weren't clear, and I could never tell what chapter of the textbook to read before class. Group projects were hit or miss depending on your group, and YOUR grade depended on THEIR participation.
McCrady isn't organized. Her grading policy is unclear and instructions are vague. She changes her mind frequently. It's hard to get a good grade because she's indecisive on what she's expecting from her students. She's also emotional at times and will have outbursts in class. Some like her personality, but she does a poor job as a professor.
Professor McCrady asked us to give her feedback after we all did terrible on the first test. When we gave her the feedback she wanted she became passive aggressive. She genuinely does not know how to teach even though she tries. In addition to that, the other professors curved each of their tests 10 points while McCrady only curved 5 points. Avoid!
The most passive aggressive professor you will ever meet. Do yourself a favor and don't take her. Literally choose any other professor and I promise you'll be better off.
Terrible professor. Mandatory attendance, and yet, teaches you absolutely nothing in class. Waste of time and money to take this class, especially after finishing this class learning more about her life than the material. Do yourself a favor and take the course with anybody else.
She could be described as slightly eccentric, but she is honestly a good professor. She cares about her students actually understanding the concepts. There are a good amount of assignments, but other than the easy chapter activities on Vantage you can get majority done in class. Three exams, one group presentation. Easy A if you do everything!
Most of her reviews dont do her justice, although she has unconventional lecture methods (lots of group/activity-based lessons) she provides more than enough resources to prepare you for the exams. Also, she gives plenty of curves and the department even allows a cheat sheet. She herself is chill, just do what you're supposed to and you'll do well
Aight, so her classes? Dope. She mixes in real-world examples, not just boring textbook stuff. Heads up though, her assignments are tough as heck. But man, you learn a lot. Put in the work, it's worth it.
Makes lectures engaging w examples from her experience. A decent amount of group work which is expected. I didn't think tests were too hard but lots of hw (review material ig) Only things I didn't really like was that I felt like I wasn't sure on directions a lot and it took her a long time to grade assignments. also really engaged w her students!!
We used the smartbook for content, so most of the time in class was for assignments (memos, report, case studies, group projects). The tests were easy, and the in-class reviews were very helpful. She does take a while to grade, but she is a really nice professor.
You should take this class! She is an excellent Professor and these students that are so rude and obnoxious clearly did not pay attention in class to get such horrible grades. I am not a good test taker and I still managed to pass the class with a B. The professor is amazing and cute too.
Professor McCrady really cares for her students! It's easy to excel in her class as long as you attend class and pay attention to the lectures. She provides a lot of review material for the exams and gives curves as well. She can be a bit passive aggressive at times, but she genuinely wants her students to do well. I recommend taking her!
Max 4 absences throughout the semester, usually does not take up the entire class, Mcgraw hill assignments are long and annoying but very easy. Exams are copies of reviews and open note. Group projects are straightforward and easy.
she is the goat
Amazing professor, fair grading but teaches very well!
She uses the McGraw Hill textbook, which is time-consuming but easy. Her lectures can be boring but helpful. Lots of group presentations. It was an easy class, but somewhat disorganized so you have to make sure you're getting all your assignments turned in. No midterms, just projects.
Professor McCrady is super nice! She genuinely cares for her students. Class consists of 2 quizzes on McGraw hill which are open note, 1 major project, and short easy assignments here and there. She's easy to reach and super understanding. Attendance is mandatory, but she lets out early most days. Makes jokes in class. Would Recommend!
She gives good guides and feedback for assignments. In-class time was mainly used for group projects and the final portfolio. McGraw Hill assignments are time-consuming but easy. You'll have 2 open note quizzes which are similar to the reviews. Opportunities for extra credit include an optional assignment and doing the university course evaluation.
Professor McCrady is so sweet and kind, and is also an amazing business professor. Always open to talk with and help students. Grades leniently and is very flexible with deadlines. Lots of easy group projects. Most of the content is online quizzes and homework, but they are completion grades and are easy even if you don't read the book.
She gave me tons of help, real world skills, actually cares
If you are passionate about the subject she's an outstanding professor since she cares for what she is teaching and showcases it with how she is with her students. She helps people stay on track if needed. Definitely recommend for people that want a professor who's hands-on and is genuinely interested in their subject
LITERALLY the best professor ever! She cares for her students and I love her humor! You just need to do your work, and you will get an A+. Make sure to keep track of deadlines, though, and she is super lenient on Absences! She has online quizzes with a cheat sheet, and most of the questions are from the review, It is hard to fail this class!
Didn't like that she only gave use a 93 on our group project but cool overall. Lectures get boring.
Easy but weird
