Great professor, really knows her stuff and very passionate. She is very laid back and understanding but do NOT take advantage of her. She knows when to put her foot down. Easy class, just put in the effort and you will be rewarded.

Professor Victoria is an amazing speech professor. I took her for Summer A at the Downtown BC Campus & she really is caring of her students' well being. She will help you whenever necessary and isn't unreasonable when it comes to grading your speeches. She's also incorporates funny YouTube videos with the lectures. Take her, you won't regret it!

I love professor Ng, She is so easy going and laid back. She gives the most amazing lectures and is very funny also. If I could I would take her class over and over again. She assignments and tests are very understandable. Only needed textbook for the test but they were take home tests.

She is very clear in her lectures and she is helpful. Her lectures are hilarious and informational. You only need to use the textbook 3 times and that is for the test. She only gives out 3 test and they are take home.

This teacher is amazing! She has a lot of stories of her experience in college and I think that helps a lot with the students. We can relate to a lot of her experiences and vice versa. There are 5 lectures and they are fairly easy, you have to write an outline before the lecture date and then you have to write a reflection paper after your lecture.

I have taken Professor NG for Public Speaking and Speech. Very cool lady and very Professional. I had a lot of fun in both classes. Professor Ng is one of the best professors at BC!She is very funny!She is so chill and cool. I thought we were gonna give a speech everyday but no. We had 3 tests, 5 speeches, 2 journals, and we had an assignment on a movie. This may seem like a lot but its soo easy. I love her. I recommend her to anyone who wants to pass speech wo doing much.

This Professor is by far the best professor I've had. She's AMAZING! I had her for my fall semester, and she wasis the best professor you could possibly have for SPC1024. Her class is so interesting and she keeps it alive ALL the time. There's not one boring moment. She definitely knows how to capture everyone's attention; easy to talk to.

She really wants you to succeed, and she's willing to help you do so. 5 individual speeches and 1 group project. Not much homework. Just put in the effort and you'll succeed. As someone who actually was enrolled in another public speaking class on the same campus with another professor, I am telling you she is the best one! There are no surprises on what you have to do and when unlike the other professor whose class I dropped. her syllabus is clear and you are given examples for outlines so you can get started

Wonderful teacher she care for her students to pass never let us miss work if you do the work you will pass she allow us to finish missed quizzes or discussions. If you come to class she tell you what you need to do on you speech do your work you will pass.

Prof Ng was amazing! She was hilarious, fun, and energetic so it made the whole class interested in the topic she was speaking on, even if it wasn't interesting! She was super easy to contact out of class and was willing to make accommodations with you on certain assignments as long as you've consistently shown up and done all the work. 10/10!!

She is super caring and motivational. She helps develop good relationships among the students and creates a healthy environment for students to learn. Shes open to all opinions and makes class enetertaining. Shes pretty easy going with 5e speeches, as long as you show you that you tried. Id take her any day.

I 10000% recommend this professor! I took her for public speaking and she is absolutely hilarious! The class itself really isnt hard, just follow the speech rubric and your topic and youll be fine, Lots of discussion posts but she will always give you chances to finish them. She is definitely one of the best professors Ive had! Truly recommend!

Best teacher I have taken so far. She gives you amazing feedback and comforts you if you fumble throughout your speeches. If you need help she will be more than happy to help you in or out of class. She lectures a good amount but she keeps it really interesting. If you follow the rubric you will easily get an A. I would definitely take her again.

First thing you need to know, when you get into the classroom and see the schedule, trust me don't panic. When I first saw it, i was kinda stressed but professor Ng makes it as easy as possible. Shes very nice and is very helpful. She also cuts you slack on your speeches. Very nice and helpful. Take her!!

Taking this class was one of the best things I could have done. The confidence I learned from the practice, lectures, and her advice is something I will be forever grateful for. This quiz answers are in the textbook, you just have to find them. Her feedback on assignments made me become a better speaker, and also a better listener.

This professor is one of best ones i have ever had. She actually cares about her students, and because shes young she is easy to relate to. The class is a little hard, only because public speaking is difficult to master. Over all, I loved this class and she is a great teacher, 12/10 would recommend.

She gives great lectures and to me shes pretty funny. Youll only need to do 4 speeches and they arent too bad. One will be a group speech. She also gives some easy extra credit assignments. The only hard thing are her tests theres 3 of them, they are online.

Really cool professor! She's young, so she can relate to her students more. Three exams, all of which are online. Four speeches, which she helps you on. She's not a tough grader on your speeches because she understands it's an Intro to Public Speaking class. Take this class if you can! I met so much wonderful people in this class.

Best Public Speaking teacher there is! She really knows what she's doing, and makes the classroom feel warm and safe, so take her class if you're more on the shy side! Professor Ng is AMAZING! She is caring and she ties in her lectures to personal stories! She is very considerate when it comes to grading and understands pressures of Public Speaking! She gives awesome FEEDBACK. Exams are open book but you have to find the answers. 4 Speeches and she gives you freedom on choosing topics.

I took her in the summer 2019 and I completely love her she basically summarizes the book and it's easier to take notes that way. She doesn't pull on anyone or make you nervous she shares a lot of her college experiences which is amazing. I would show up to her class ready and follow her instructions and you will get a good grade.

Professor Ng is truly amazing and is more than willing to help. She has lectures but she makes it fun, entertaining and really tries to drive up classroom participation. You do have tests on D2L but you can do it at home and use the textbook to get the answers. She is not rigorous and just wants you to cover the basics as long as you understand

I took her for summer classes and she is very fun and caring. This class is easy and you will need to buy a textbook for the tests. She knows what she is teaching and she always makes her lecture fun there is never a dull moment. I wish they were more teachers like her.

She's the chillest, funniest teacher ever. Do your speeches, & present. She don't ask for much. She shows examples for each speech and gives you an outline. It's 3 individual speeches but 1 group speech so in total there's 4. There's 3 tests. Very easy. Answers are in the book however you don't need the book. She covers everything in the lecture.

She genuinely cares about every student. The class was long but the time flew by. We had to give 4 public speeches, but it's not scary. The group public speech took time after class, because we needed to coordinate, plan, make a powerpoint, & an outline together. What I loved most about the class is that we could choose the topics we spoke about.

Prof Ng is so sweet! She really cares about her class. There is one group speech and 4 self speeches. you present live in class, when you are done, you stay on the camera until the person after you is done. I hate public speaking but her class is so easy. you don't NEED the book, but it helps, so RENT not buy if anything. Take her!extra credit also

Professor Ng is a very caring professor who wants her students to do well. There were five speeches, and she gives great feedback on them so that students can improve. She connected with her students, and we were encouraged to talk about topics important to us. Also, there was an opportunity for extra credit.

If you're going to take a public speaking teacher and are debating on which one to take as well as have a smooth and amazing semester, TAKE PROFESSOR NG. She is more than a teacher, she's a mentor, and a caring friend when you need her to be. She makes you feel so calm while presenting speeches. She has a heart of gold and I am so glad I took her!!

I am not an English native speaker, and I was really terrified by taking a public speaking class, but Professor Ng is amazing! You will have to take 3 speeches plus a group project and 3 different unit tests with 50 questions easy. The second quiz is the hardest.

she's literally the best woman ever I love her so much. She always leaves feedback and truly listens to you when you speak. She just wants you to learn and do well in class, and make sure that you understand everything. 10 out 10, would take again :) As long as you pay attention and try you will do well. If you have any issues she is understanding.

Professor Ng is absolutely amazing. She not only takes great pride in her lectures, she also cares very much for her students. She is so easy to talk to. If you need any help or if there are some personally stuff going on at home, she will be right there to help and is so patient about it all. I never felt like a bother to her for anything.

What would I do without this class?? Professor Ng is caring, lively, and understanding. She knows how to put things into perspective for her students by using analogies and real life experiences to help us understand how to be better at communicating with others. the best teacher I've had so far. She's very caring and her assignments are not hard. there's no way to fail this class unless you didn't do the work. a few 10-question quizzes but she provides you with exact info to study on. overall, she's great and willing to help you with any concerns you have.

Professor Ng is a very frank and lenient person! She has an amazing personality and is full of charisma! You can never get boring in her class because she mixes the online classes with lectures, images, and videos. She has her students' best interest at heart and she knows how to make you feel peculiar! i have bad presentation anxiety so I saved speech for the end of my degree, but I wish I took this class sooner! there are 3 short speeches (2 solo and 1 group) and by the second one I already felt more confident in my public speaking. super easy class and very supportive professor. its hard to fail this class!

Amazing professor! Only consists of 3 speeches with one being a group speech. A lot of discussion boards. Gives great feedback on assignments and is very helpful whenever needed. Lectures were never dull, don't be afraid to voice thoughts or opinions on lectures because she will always hear you out. 10/10 would recommend!!

I took her online intro to speech course and she made the class wonderful. She gives tons of advice on how to become better at public speaking and genuinely cares about all her students. The lectures are easy to follow and she was always willing to answer questions and explain things. There are multiple presentations but are all simple.
