There was a lot of homework with chapter activities and reading assignments but they weren't hard. She a great professor, she makes the lectures interesting. Test weren't hard, she gives learning objectives to study which help because they are actually on the tests.

Dr. Rhodes is exemplary, she cares about her students and is very understanding. This class is difficult and the grade you receive is directly proportional to the amount of effort that is put in. I found lab the most tedious part of the class, felt like a lot of reading and writing (not difficult), would have loved some more hands on or wet labs.

Dr. Rhodes shows abundant interest in her students abilities to learn. She actively tries to provide resources to utilize for success. Microbiology is an incredibly fun class, mainly due to Dr. Rhodes enthusiasm about microbes! If you stay ahead and put in work, you will be able to thoroughly enjoy the course without being nervous about a grade!

This class was definitely a little overwhelming at first. But once you get into the hang of things and understand how she structures her classes, this class will become fairly easy. I appreciate how up-to date Dr. Rhodes is with our generation Z lingo, which made her lectures very enthusiastic and enjoyable!

Dr. Rhodes's teaching style complemented my learning style very well. Her PowerPoints are sometimes hard to follow but they make sense once she walks through them during lecture, which is why attendance is mandatory. If you fill out the Learning Objectives in a complete and detailed manner, then you are very well prepared for the exams.

Dr. R. gives great lectures and a lot of extra credit. Our labs were a rundown of fundamental, modern lab techniques. She canceled our big lab report at the end of the semester. This class requires a ton of outside work if you want to score high. Fill out your Learning Objectives for each section, and learn the PowerPoint slides, and you're set.

If you are a student who works and pays your own way through college the workload in this class is ridiculous. There are multiple assignments that are assigned that day and due that night at midnight. I like how she reviews the concepts from the previous class before explaining the next topic. Her learning objectives are really helpful when studying for exams. Overall, I really enjoyed her class.

Dr. Rhodes was extremely invested in the class, not only academically, but mentally as she was very flexible with exams so students wouldn't have to suffer coming to class on a Monday and taking not only an immune exam, but also a genetics exam. I appreciate her a lot.

If you use the learning objectives she gives you and are thorough filling them out, there should be no reason not to get the grade you want. Tests are based exactly on them, so use them to your advantage.

Dr. Rhodes is an amazing professor. I've had her for several classes and I've always enjoyed having her as a professor. She really works well with students and other class exams to make sure you won't have the exams on the same day. She gives us access to every PowerPoint/lecture used in class and provides an in-depth study guide that can be filled out during lectures. This is my second semester having Dr. Rhodes and I definitely enjoyed Microbiology more then Molecular, but that's just personal preference. She truly cares about the content she teaches and that students are understanding and not left behind. The labs are very interactive and interesting!

Dr. Rhodes knows a lot about microbes. She's clearly an expert in microbiology and is very good at making you an expert too. I took her class online and she was very accommodating whenever I needed to take an exam on a different day or if I didn't understand the material. Her exams are hard though, beware and study like your life depends on it.

She is honestly the best professor at MOSO. I know people have pushed off classes for semesters to take it with her. Creative lectures embedded with jokes and beautiful slideshows. Follow the learning objectives and you shouldn't receive lower than an A on any exam. The class itself is difficult but she makes it fun and easier to learn. Love her!

She is a great professor and I would love to take her again. Her teaching style is very specific but also she tells you exactly what you need to know through the learning objectives. Stay ahead on studying and you'll be fine. Over summer you have an exam every week pretty much so its fast paced but like I said very clear on what you need to know.

Dr. Rhodes does a great job at helping students understand complex information by breaking things down and using humor or funny quips to help everyone remember key points. Her tests are a bit difficult, but if you listen and take good notes during lecture you'll be fine.

Attendance is not mandatory but is taken. Class starts on time, lecture heavy, at the end of every chapter theres a quiz. Before every test there is a case study. Records every lecture if you miss you can just watch it. Helps come up with fun and easy ways to remember stuff.

This class was great but there a lot of long busy work assignments including essays to read and annotate. The exams are exactly like the study guides but make sure you pay attention in class as not all the answers are in the PowerPoints.

Rhodes outlines exactly what information you need to know on her study guides. She also points out when information is clinically important, so pay attention to that, it will probably be brought up on the test. Go through the study guides and practice questions and actually understand the information and there will be no surprises on the tests.

Super great teacher! Would definitely take again.

She did well answering questions we had and making material make sense. I felt like the power points were wordy, often had unnecessary information. Her learning objectives are clear and a good study guide. The text book being mandatory is my only complaint, wasted money only to use it 2x for online labs that could have been done elsewhere.

Amazing professor, a lot of extra "busy" work.

Dr Rhodes is an amazing teacher, and I would 100% look to take more classes with her. This class had a lot of concepts we had to know for each test. However, through her providing the learning objectives, it was easy to study and be successful in her class. She also provides extra credit opportunities to boost your grade if needed.

She is very thorough and explains everything very clearly. She will give real world examples and fun scenarios. She genuinely cares about her students and wishes for them to succeed. AMAZING professor and I would recommend to anyone. I went in already thinking I would hate it, but I couldn't tell you how wrong I was!

Dr. Rhodes is an amazing professor! She is passionate about what she teaches and makes complex topics simple to understand. She is always willing to answer questions and clarify any confusion about the topics. She made this class enjoyable despite there being some difficult topics. There are some time-consuming assignments along the way, however.

I love this professor she takes complicated topics and turns them into fun things you remember, I didn't get the best grade but its on me for not being a good test taker not her fault at all.

I have nothing but positive feedback for Dr. Rhodes. Content is always engaging, applicable, and understandable. Lectures always hold my attention. Exams are difficult, but necessary material is always provided. Dr. Rhodes is consistently approachable and willing to help. Overall, her teaching style, organization, and dedication are commendable.

She is very involved during her lectures. She is passionate about her teachings & is willing to answer any & all questions. She uses funny phrases & actions to help you remember the material, & goes over the material multiple times.
