Sister Roberts is a fun teacher who connects to the class. She is kind and funny. She makes us read things that put things in different perspectives to make us think for ourselves. We have great class discussions that also help me view things in multiple ways. I always feel comfortable in class and interested in what she is teaching.

Really cares about the topics she teaches. Solid topics and keeps on task. Doesn't go off on useless tangents you don't actually want to hear about. Gets and uses modern internet references which is super nice.

Awesome teacher. She works well with the students and gives great feedback and points of improvement in the papers. Yeah, its not an easy A, but if you do the work you will pass. Definitely knows how to connect well with all the students. If there were chili peppers on here she would get a solid 4 out of the 3.

Good choice for your first English course. Plenty of homework, but it's reasonably paced. She is fair on grading and will let you argue your grade up if you can make good points. Loads of extra credit chances. She's got a personality, which could swing your perception either way. I personally enjoyed her teaching method, but everyone might not.

I loved taking this course by Sister Roberts. She makes class fun everyday. Her lectures are concise and get right to the point. Her assignments related to what we were learning and she always made the instructions clear. I would definitely recommend her she is so awesome!!

Victoria Roberts is a great teacher who teaches with passion because she knows that what she is teaching important skills that will help me in my professional career. Her annotation assignments were pretty annoying and i didn't do all of them but i could see the importance of them because they helped me get good grades on my papers.

Professor Roberts is a cool chick. Her class is really laid back. She assigns daily annotations for homework on interesting topics. She is passionate about what she does and is very specific about what she teaches. She pushes you to do better and think outside your own ideas.

Her class isn't super tough or ridiculously demanding, but you learn a lot. 100% recommend taking her class, if you do you'll learn more than just English. Life lessons are also laced around the lectures and discussions we have, so grateful for this class.

Sister Roberts is amazing. She made me like writing again after I tried this same course online. She is fair and kind and wants to help her students succeed. There is plenty of reading but this gives needed insight on how to write and what doesn't work. The hardest thing was researching for the final but if you put in the work you will learn a lot.

I am not a big English fan, but this class made me develop a love for reading and writing. We would annotate readings that were assigned to us so that we could become better critical thinkers, and it was so beneficial not just for this class but for my other classes as well. I highly recommend taking this class from this professor.

Professor Roberts is a good teacher. A student should participate, be respectful, and do the work for the class. If they do--and do it well--they should do well in the class. If a student completes the assignments and is optimistic about this class, they will have a higher chance at enjoying the class.

This is a really chill class as long as you keep up with homework. I think the work load is pretty light even compared to my high school AP classes. There are annotated readings due almost every class, but the readings are usually short and engaging. If you do the work and follow instructions, you're pretty much guaranteed an A. ����������

I enjoyed taking this class. Honesty, English literature is not for me, this is not what Im good at "yet" but the way she teach this class make me truly understand about English Literature. By showing a lot of passion of what she teaches. She gives us some good amount of work that makes us fair. Overall it was amazing learning about annotations.

She is really good about teaching us through experience rather than through useless busy work. Overall it was a fairly easy English class, fairly laid back, so as long as you are ready to participate in class discussions and do the required work outside of class (not that much), then you will do well.

Sister Roberts is very empathetic because she remembers her time as a student and teaches the class with that in mind. Sometimes gets distracted but teaches well. I personally got help from her on my papers and will note that her feed back was invaluable. She follows a grading rubric and honers it if you follow it you will get an A, no tricks.

Bruh, this will probably be your favorite class. Shee caring and will willing to help you if you do your part. Homework light weight very manageable. Great lectures are given. Youll enjoy this class for sure!!

I liked this class because Sister Roberts was very clear about what you need to do in order to get an A in this class. Some of the instructions where a little confusing, but she would always give us a 2nd chance after the instructions where clarified. I learned how to annotate and how to write an effective essay. She's also very relatable and fun!

Sister Roberts is a fun, and energetic teacher. She gives usual amounts of homework and the class is easy if you do your work. She is very clear in her instructions . I had fun in her class and would definitely take it again.

As someone who has failed this class already with 2 other teachers, I can definitely vouch that Sister Roberts has been by far the best teacher to take this class with--it's only her first semester teaching too. Your grade is based on your effort, do your best and she'll recognize that. Definitely going to miss this class!

If you can't simultaniously be chill and be ready to work then I would suggest you not attend this class. Sister Roberts is very fun-loving and likes to joke around, but when it is time to work, it is time to work. Overall a great teacher who really understands her students.

Professor Roberts is by far one of the best professors I have ever had. I truly believe she is probably one of the best professors at BYU. She teaches in an unconventional way which allows you to grow and learn SO MUCH more than the traditional way. She is a new teacher but her knowledge is deep due to all her experience. Sister Roberts is very nice, she is able to connect with the students a lot. During the class, she makes it interactive, so everyone can participate. The homework is not too hard, the important is to get it done. During the papers, she gives you the instructions to do it, but I feel that would be better if we had the opportunity to practice before.

Sister Roberts is a lot of fun. I was skeptical of her at first because she was a brand new teacher she has figured out a way to teach this course that is really clear. She shows you how to ace each paper. There are annotations each class, its important to do those. HIGHLY RECOMMEND PS, doesn't pray in class/have spiritual thoughts but don't panic

Sister Roberts is a great teacher for people just getting back into the groove of writing college level papers. She will never give you a grade you don't deserve, and will work with you. She has a nontraditional teaching style and doesn't conform to typical class standards, which can rub some people the wrong way. She teaches relevant information.

Professor Roberts gives good feedback on papers, is hilarious, and her class is a lot of fun. Our assignments are due at the beginning of class which really motivated me to go to class everyday and the class really isn't hard. If you do the homework and papers, you will pass the class.

Easy class, learned a lot about the basic skills of writing. didn't completely agree with all of her ideas, but a good course overall and she is a good professor. Good clear instructions for each paper that made it easier to write.

I rated the class as a 4 in difficulty, but that's because she does expect you to work, but that's literally it. If you are really good at managing your time and following directions, this class will be a breeze. She gives very clear directions for every assignment and essay given. If you follow those directions, especially on the essays, you will get an A in the class. She is very humorous and goes on tangents on occasion. I would definitely take her again.

She thought that sounded insane and instead gave us assignments that would genuinely increase our reading and writing abilities. My biggest issue is her lack of late work acceptance even when absent.

Recognizes and appreciates good writers and helps average writers become better. She has very straight forward grading rubrics and assigns zero busy work. Her personlaity and teaching style is different from me but I have a lot of respect for her as a fair and understanding college professor.

Prof. Robs. is not like any other teacher that you'll have here at ole' BYU-Idaho. At first, her vibrant personality is a bit of an adjustment. But, once you realize that she literally popped out of the womb the same time you did, going to class will be much easier. She only wants the best for you, and will carry you on her Target-clad shoulders.

In "Professor Roberts is actually pretty cool" student , Moi, gained some good incites in this class. My first claim is that she is actually super caring ad wants you to improve. Evidence for this she tells you what she wants from you and expects your best. She only assigns reading that will help and grades kind of hard to help you improve. Thank!

Roberts is a great english teacher that made learning english fun and relatable i learned so much in her class like my english has improved so much. you kind of feel like an idiot if you do anything wrong and need to ask questions. She is a little apostate and sometimes rants about irrevelant things and has low tolerance for humans.

Roberts was a real chill lady. assignments are very doable. she does really well at explaining how to do things. shes great at communicating what is due, how, where, all that jazz. shes pretty funny, may feel a bit of controversy in some of her issues, but presents well and expanded my mind and views a lot. though english is meh, she made it fun

She does care about whether or not you understand the topics shes teaching. She really strives for the class to succeed so that they can do well in future classes dealing with essays! You cant fall behind or your work will be rushed and low quality.

Taking the class from Victoria Roberts was the best decision I've made in college. Every single assignment that we've completed helped me directly in the essays as well as to think on a critical level. I'm seriously disappointed that she won't be available next semester for classes because I'd take every critical writing class from her. A+ teacher.

In this class I actually learned something. I am an international student, and in this class I learned how to make a good and constructive argument. All the support material is really helpful and will be useful for all the other classes.

Professor Roberts is a G. English has always been a tough subject for me, but lemme tell ya Prof. Roberts helped me understand principles and how to apply them in my writing. Never got bored in her lectures. She's kinda a savage which i love and think is wicked. Honestly if you're not taking Prof. Roberts's class you're making a fat mistake.

Attendance isnt mandatory but you are more likely to succeed if you show up. She tends to give advice in class thats not in the assignments instructions to help you. She makes the boring class entertaining.

Professor Roberts pretty much just graduated, so she knows what college is like and is relatable. She does not assign busywork and she is very clear with her requirements. If you follow her instructions you are guaranteed an A. You can do homework for other classes in class and you'll proabably be fine as long as you're paying half attention.

At the beginning of the course, I was concerned. My first impressions of Professor Roberts was that she was a bit prideful of herself and how great her class was. The class seemed too easy. One of my absolute favorites English professors Ive ever taken. Shes brutally honest; about life, writing and what we need to improve and I love that about her. Homework has to be turned in right at the beginning of class so you cant slack but its refreshing to have a teacher expect your best. If she was staying at BYUI I would take her again!

She is personable and relatable for students, and provides good instruction for all types of learners. There was only one time I misunderstood instruction and faced docked points. She is funny and helpful. I could say many more good things, but itd be better to have experience of her as your professor.

Super glad I ended up taking the class from her. Very different from any other English class I've taken but I felt like I learned a lot of applicable writing skills. She's very efficient- we learn what's necessary, demonstrate the skills, and move on... No crazy long/unnecessary stuff. Unconventional in the best way, I always loved coming to class.

She's very helpful and will definitely give you the tools you need to pass her class. She gives work but I never felt like it was busy work. Also gives extra credit fairly often. Genuinely cares about her students and was very personable. Fair warning, if you're close minded and bigoted, you might want to find a professor like you.

Professor Roberts clearly states what she expects of you in the first class and if you don't think it's something you can do, drop out. She provides extra credit and is willing to work with you, however late work will never be accepted. She teaches you what she says she will and provides useful writing tips that can be used in other classes.

Professor Roberts is very nice and actually cares about you. She goes the extra mile to provide useful tools and resources to help you succeed, which is very nice because this eliminates worries and confusion about expectations/assignment rubric. Class is never boring because we always learned and or laughed. 10/10 peppers.
