Cool, easy going teacher. Will try to explain the material as best as she can. Gives a lot of opportunities to make up assignments and get your grade up. Nonchalant teaching style allows for class to pass by pretty quickly. Will let you go once lesson is taught (won't keep you there forever). Posts PP slides on BB. Pay attention in class.
She is a horrible teacher. All she does is put powerpoint slides up and then attempts to teach from them. She is the teacher from h.s. that repeats the same thing in the beginning of every class. The only positive thing is that she drops some quiz grades.
She has got to be the worst teacher I have ever had. Like they said, all she does is make a PowerPoint and attempts to teach it and fails miserably at it. One class, she told us that there "may be some mistakes on the PowerPoint" and asked us to look for the them for her...how can you trust a teacher who is relying on you to find her own mistakes?
I like professor stedman's use of powerpoints. although there can be errors, she usually goes through them and makes corrections. she lets you out early most of the time. no homework except Connect quizzes. Her quizzes and midterms are kind of hard. Overall really nice professor.

She is not a good teacher. All she does is lecture and then asks a class full of students (that have no idea what she was talking about) questions, then lets you go. Do not take her.
You ask for help and she tells you to go to her office hours. You tell her when you're going and when you show up, she's gone for the day. she doesn't care if you understand the subject at all and doesn't like answering any questions in class. she's horrible.
I wouldn't recommend this to the average bryant student.However, I feel like she is a good teacher. Makes class funny and really short.

Stedman is a GOOD professor who knows what she is talking about. What you have to do is read the chapter before she talks about it in class. She provides you with the powerpoint ahead of time. I suggest bringing your laptop and adding onto the powerpoint as she goes over it. She assigns connects that are worth a lot and reasonable. Be lazy and fail

Only reads powerpoints in class and doesn;t actually teach anything. when she goes over problems she acts like shes just doing them herself and doesn't explain anything. Doesn't seem like she enjoys teaching at all and has to add even more difficult extra assignments to try and boost class average. If you take her and study hard you may do well.
Stedman is the worst teacher I've had at Bryant. It is clear that she doesn't know what she's talking about in class, her powerpoints often containing mistakes. She is unclear in explanations. She merely reads off a script rather than comprehend and teach(her job, right?). Avoid her at all costs, seriously.

I know the material can be difficult and some may complain about her teaching style but her class is very straight forward with no surprises. If students let her know she is moving to fast she will always slow down and make sure we understand.Very friendly with kind of a goofy laid back personality which keeps a dry subject from getting too boring.

Professor Stedman is a nice lady and means well but she is not the best at teaching the material. She is a little spacey when she lectures and does not seem to have a set plan each class. Her exams are somewhat difficult and the only thing keeping my grade up are the homework assignments, which are pretty easy.
I am taking her Macro online class at CCRI and it is one of the worst experiences I've had. She posts PowerPoint lectures that are not only poorly done but often wrong. Takes forever to respond to emails and has very poor writing and grammar skills, which is unacceptable coming from a professor. Do not take any class with this woman.
Nice person, but really has no idea what she's doing. Classes were disorganized and she often referred to her notes because she didn't seem to know the material herself. Gives study guides for the test, but they have nothing to do with lectures. Not the worst, but would not recommend.
She is a nice women, but is not reasonable when you ask for assistance in the course. Also tests are impossible and nothing to do with what she is talking about. And she is very confusing and doesn't seem to know what she is talking about and refers to her notes because she forgets.
worst teacher ive had at bryant, she doesnt look to help the class at all. likes to end class early and doesnt teach the class completely. youll basically have to teach your self. no extra credit, no make ups, and no chance of her helping you pull your grade up
Dreadfully boring. Incredibly spacey. Does not have passion for the subject. Consistently unprepared for class. Will not work with student if you are sick or have an impending circumstance. Gives very short and RUDE answers to questions. Overall just should not be in the field of education.
She is very boring, however, she is a very easy professor. Her questions are from the online test the book gives out. so if you read the book and understand it, you will do fine.
Just a bad teacher. She's usually unprepared and just teaches from the book. Doesn't even seem to know the material herself, or even care about the subject. There's no reason to attend her class, just read the book and do the practice questions. Class is very easy though. Huda is a much better teacher at CCRI, take his class instead.
She's clear when she teaches, yet gets easily off track. She tells you exactly what is going to be on the test and gives you the short answers and their answers tat will be on the test before hand
Prof Stedman talks the WHOLE class and no one understands what is going on. She doesn't teach. She lectures and draws graphs on the board and has bad notes. The one good thing is, if you need help with the Connect homework, she will help you during her office hours and get 100%s since she checks your work. SHow her you care and you'll be okay.

Not very clear in her lectures and econ is my worst subject. If you ask for help on Connect assignments, she will explain and tell you answers. She is very nice if you ask for help. Tests are very tough and you need to go to ACE and to see her.
Can breeze through lectures but if you ask for clarification, you will get it. Gives out practice tests before exams, tend to have exact questions on them. Homework assignments are easy if you follow along in the book. ASK CLARIFICATION QUESTIONS, she is very good with explaining in detail when you actually ask.
Seems very unmotivated every class. Lectures are very unorganized. she constantly needs to refer back to her notes because she forgets what she is talking about. Practice exams are exactly the same on the real exam. Overall if you just pay attention to the practice exam it's an easy A. But if you want your money's definitely do not take.
Very confusing teacher. She lectures and does not make much sense at times. But, she is the easiest grader in the world. Gives you the test the night before to study, which is the exact same as the one you take in class. It is the easiest A you could ask for. Very little work required to get a high grade.
Professor Stedman is very nice and her class was very easy. She even gives you a list of questions that will appear on exams and gives you the answers so her exams are very easy. Unfortunately her lectures are very boring and sometimes unclear, but she frequently ends class early.
She is very kind as a person but is all over the place as a professor. Very disorganized. Our class ended up 4 weeks behind the syllabus before the midterm exam. She pushes things back and then tries to cram them in. Rarely replies to emails. Exams are very easy and are based exactly on the practice exams that she gives you.

Her lectures are horrible
Stedman is a great econ teacher if you don't care about understanding econ at all. Most work is made up of online connect assignments or discussion boards. She has very low expectations, and often doesn't even know what she's talking about. Gives you the questions and answers to the tests before hand. You never actually have to learn to pass.
DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS! She doesn't teach anything. She will start talking about one topic and won't finish her sentence before talking about another topic. You will have to teach yourself everything. Has a ton of hard quizzes and assignments not in line with the book. I can read her an answer directly from the book and she will say it is wrong.
Stedman is a professor who clearly doesn't want to teach. She shows up to class and complains about being there almost every day. She usually lets us go early because she doesn't want to be there. Although this sounds awesome, i'm being honest with you when I say don't take her. She doesn't prepare you for her impossible quizes.
She is a nice person. But over all she talks about one thing and moves on to the next topic out of no were. Writes down vocab words but never gives definition. If you take this class you will be teaching your self. Extremely impossible quizzes and tests. Would not recommend even to my worst enemy.
She didn't teach well for the first half of class and we were already behind on the syllabus, but after realizing her teaching wasn't working for us, she start posting extra notes on Blackboard, and then giving us study guides. I would recommend reading the book and trying to understand it, it will help you more than her lectures
She always lets you out early and her power points were easy to understand. Quizzes and tests are straight out of the textbook so make sure to read the textbook before each test and quiz. Overall, easy class if you read the textbook.
I am convinced she knows nothing about Economics even though she teaches it at a Collegiate level. Extremely vague in her lectures and powerpoints, only 1 attempt on the homeworks, and her exams are as hard as it gets. I wouldn't say avoid her at all costs, but I definitely would not take her again. Only upside is that she ends early.

Easy material but Prof Stedman barely covers it in class. Barely any energy in lectures. Minimal class participation. Does not answer questions clearly. Repeated lectures multiple times. Easy grader on PEC. Difficult tests since the material is not covered and her short answer questions can be difficult to follow.
Professor Stedman is hilarious because of how much she doesn't care about economics. It's a blessing that she lets you out early/cancels class often because you can use that time to read the textbook, or, as most people would do, sleep in or nap; your choice. All tests aside, great prof.

Although her powerpoints are good, they won't help you on your tests and quizzes, you have to read the book. She lets you out early as long as you finish what you need to do.
Professor Stedman mostly lectures and assigns online homework. All her quizzes and tests were online which made getting As easier than if it was in class. She's not a terrible professor like other reviews say, but her voice is very monotone so it is very difficult to pay attention. She also gets very confused with technology and due dates.

Professor Stedman is clearly there for the paycheck, she is nice, but you can tell she doesn't care about economics or you. Her lectures are long and boring, about material that is confusing. So, you have to teach yourself the majority of the time, this can be frustrating during the homework's and quizzes when you constantly get the answer wrong.
Stedman covers the bare minimum for economics. Is very vague in her lectures while individual assignments are more in depth, forcing students to teach themselves. Complains when she has to go out of her way for makeup and office hours. Very unapproachable and offers little to no help, no leniency for grades. Attendance is graded.
Unless you have previous knowledge of economics be ready to teach yourself the entire course and visit ACE for extra help. The quizzes and homework are online, but the answers to the questions are not on google. Her notes are all over the place and she can not explain anything. She does not care about you as a student, wont even learn your name.
Should've listened to what other reviews said about Prof Stedman so I could've switched out. She's a nice person, but an awful professor. You can google all the answers to her quizzes, and the answers will be correct, but on her quizzes they will be wrong. She doesn't care about the students, she's just there for the paycheck.
Her lectures were boring and unclear. There was one major group project worth a lot of grading points. There will be a lot of homework and quizzes.
She is very monotone and has a bland teaching style so your going to have to read the textbook unless you already have an understanding of economics. She also acts like everything is a burden to her and she seems like she doesn't even want to be a professor. Her lectures are almost always on a chalkboard and she rarely used slideshows.

I became sick at the beginning of the semester(COVID) and missed two homework assignments that she refused to grant me an extension for. As long as you read and prepare prior to class, you should do fine. Overall the class material is not hard but if you don't study then you will struggle. FYI, Homework is a huge percentage of your final grade.
By far the worst professor I have had at Bryant. If you want a good grade, please do not take her. She doesn't come up with any of her own material and she teaches it horribly. The master of throwing curve balls on exams and the midterm and final were extremely hard!!. Also is never willing to give extra help and doesn't answer emails.
The homework is hard to get a 10/10 even if you use Chegg. The test is nothing like the review. Expect your grade to go down 5 points after the final. If you want an A, don't take.

DO NOT TAKE. Atrocious professor. From day 1 to the last day you will never want to go into that class, but attendance is mandatory so be careful. She is sarcastic in the sense that she'll answer your question with a question and make you feel dumb. She is also disorganized in her curriculum as she cluelessly bounces around from chapter to chapter.
You need to teach yourself this course. lectures are unclear, she will start on one subject and not finish what she is talking about and switch topics. Her classes consist of her drawing a random graph on the board and saying 3 vocab words without giving definitions. Course wouldn't be hard if she could teach the material well. Needs to retire.
very hard to follow along her lectures
I took this class Fall 2023 but it was a bad experience. We had a medical emergency and she didn't know what building we were in and had the students check on the them and didn't know the emergency phone number at all. Overall there is homework like once a week but there is not much teaching and more just telling us that we should understand

Really repetitive, and goes over the same thing over and over again but when it comes to exams there is a lot that we haven't covered. She is hard to reach outside of class, but she gives all the homework answers to ACE so that's good.

lovely lady but her teaching style is very hard to understand. She wants you to do well and gives resources to ACE so that they can help you, but the content itself is just so hard. If econ comes easy to you then I would recommend her but if it isn't I would definitely tell you to choose a different professor.

Had her as a freshman and glad to see she is still collecting tenure and the worst reviews I have ever seen years later. No idea how someone rated her a 5, as she was quite literally the worst professor I have had at Bryant. she hated teaching and was so bad at it, clearly there to collect a paycheck and didn't care about students or anything.

Stedman is one of those professors that teaches like you know the material already. So, unless you don't already have background knowledge on Microeconomics, don't select her, especially for 08:00 because it is pretty lecture heavy and doing that first thing in the morning is only detrimental to you.
