He is an excellent professor. He gives good notes via Powerpoint, and explains the material well. He stays focused on the topic and has a calm soothing demeanor. His tests are hard and tricky, but you just have to study both his notes and text to pass. You will not breeze through this class, but if you study hard, you can get an A.
hes a good professor...one of the better biology ones!! hes definitely tricky and you will have to study. he doesnt offer any extra credit or curve so if you work hard and put the time, youll do fine. but he is very fair, clear, and tells you exactly what he expects of you... would recommend, but work hard!!
prof.v is a good professor...unfortunately you dont realize how good he is until you take someone else...im telling you, he gives you everything you need to Ace the course. STUDY HIS NOTES and handouts and you'll be fine...he is tricky, but trust me after having him, youll know how to pass any other class and you will truly miss him in 204. def rec
no extra credits and 80 is a c+
very hard exams and quizes
Very clear professor. To me he was great but moves on too fast and has great expectations.
He is a very demanding teacher, and he moves on too fast but in total he is great. I recommend if somebody likes fast speed and clear professor. What ever he talks about is always on the test no suprises. I got an A in his class.
His exams very hard (Medicen school question)
He is very challenging but gives a clear lecture presentation. Also expects the best from each student and tells you like it is. Not an easy instructor but if you want to learn something, take his class.
He's a Good Professor. I only had him as a Lab instructor, but I think he was awesome! Know your sh!t and youll pass the class.. its all right there for you in the lab book and check the web.. 203 was a breeze.. even if I did have Motoike the confused one for lecture. Prof. V is really good I highly recommend you taking his class. And to you who
Great Professor! If u are a lazy student you will not pass the class. Do your reading, pay attention in class and u will pass. He loves his subject matter and will get u enthused about it too. U actually don't realize what a gem he is until u get to 204 and see how prepared you are. Trust me..take him if u are dedicated.
Great professor and you will learn alot in this course. He goes VERY fast but if you keep up with the reading you wil do fine. The 1st few quizzes are tough but it gets easier as the class size dwindles. He knows his stuff and expects you to do a lot of the work on your own. You will be amazeded at how much you learn after this class is over!
Extremely TRICKY(he luvs tht) & challenging. You learn tons but dont confuse politeness w/interest in ur progress;it's all up to you to work hard & rise 2 the challenge b/c work YOU put in=grade YOU will EARN;study ur brains out & u can earn an A.Pros:Extremely organized, clear lecture, calm, precise, accurate -a MUST 4 this course, was a Great challenge
This professor was absolutely great. he is very clear and engages you as the student. i recommend him 100% his tests are a little tough but if you study then you will be fine. if you want a great tacher that really knows what hes talking about this is the guy. You'll learn alot with him. again he is a fantastic professor.
Don't listen to what others say. this professor was awesome. he really knows what hes talking about. the class can be a little tough but hey thats what u get in this field. he is very clear and straight to the point. no tricks. he will prepare you very well for scb204 guaranteed. just study and youll be fine. pick him you'll be glad u did.
Let me honest I can't say I did great because that would be a lie. He's very intelligent an if you put your effort into your studies you will do great. At times it may seem his hard and tricky on exams but I wouldn't choose another professor. YOU WILL LEARN EVEN IF YOU DON'T THINK SO.
he is the worse prof. i ever had. hard to understand. no blackboards. i suggest not to take him.
Great professor! STUDY STUDY STUDY!!!!
Prof.V is hilarious! Great teacher! you just have to read your text and notes and STUDY!!!!
Any neg comments about this prof is likely due to the % of ppl not being able to follow thru. That should say SOMETHING. He scared me in the beginning but i kept getting A/A- on his quizzes. As a lab prof he will demonstrate every procedure unlike other profs here. He was also a student here once, and strives to give students the right foundation.
It says a lot if he himself graduated from LaGuardia as a Allied Health Student, is a licensed Acupuncturist AND also teaching A&P. It says to me that he is trying his best to influence his students and to give them the correct background for the long haul (and its tough here, any Health/Med student could attest to that).
Got an A in the class!!! I recommend trying to get him for both lecture and lab...you cant go wrong, he PREPARES you for the lab practicals! also, any class u take after you endure his class will seem like a piece of cake! Very patient, polite and wants his students to learn
Taking this class solidified my decision to try for Nursing at this school despite the competitiveness of it. I ended up with an A in the class but I worked HARD for it. Its all good because Nursing will be equally tough if not more. I am glad i have learned how to study well for anything else going fwd. Great professor.
He is extremely nice prefessor that I never had in my life. He explain clearly and his exam depend on his note. He is very practical in the lab and he try very hard to explain what you don't know. He is very genious and excellent professor in Laguardia take him

he is one of the worst teachers i have ever came across. he dose not care if u pass or not. And if u happen to email him, dont even bother checking ur emails cause he will not reply no matter how urgent it is.
Be advised that this Professor will give you the days lab lecture and posts notes on the board and what you do with it afterwards, YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN! Not a likable professor so proceed with CAUTION.
He just one of those people that want to make you life harder.
He is a very good professor. He explains each question very clear. His notes are very organized and helpful.
first things first he is very smart he puts everything on the board thats going to be on the test tests are easy, just avoid talking to him and asking questions easy a
take him. everything depend on his notes. he is a good prof. the class itself is hard...so dont expect for an easy class.........study!
AWESOME professor. Crystal clear instruction. Totally reasonable human being. Kinda dry & astute, but he's a good guy in general. No complaints. Recommended.
TWO WORDS: the best!
Ok, take him if you want to. But be prepared to study on your own. She does not like to answer much questions. The good thing about him is that he gives you an power point presentation note for the semester. However, the first couple quizzes are mostly from notes and the rest it is all mixed up! so, you gotta study the book + his notes! good luck!
he is great everybody expects a friend but his job is to teach besides with time he does loosen up and jokes around here is a small hint learn to write and say his whole name he was very clear about what he wanted from us whatever he thought in cladss that was on the test he doesnt answer your questions but he will tell you if its correct
This is a difficult class, it requires A LOT of studying on ur own time. Exam ?'s come from Prof's PowerPoint slides. Class itself is just a rapid fire spouting of information. Not the most interesting lecturer, but he does want his students 2 succeed. If u r good @ studying independently, take him. If u need in depth explanations in class, don't.
GREAT PROF!!!!
Great Professor! I will definitely take him on my SCB204 next semester. I couldn't say anything bad because he's so amazing and teaches very well. Take him!
He's a Good professor, very straight-forward. Took the class in the 6 weeks. It was very challenging class. Good learning experience overall.
I really enjoyed his teaching. I was very struggling in A&P I but because of him I can regain my confident on Biology subject. Go for him.
He is the best! The class is NOT easy, but he tests you on WHAT YOU COVERED in class, which in turn makes it easier. I wish more A&P teachers was like him. He's easygoing, approachable, and just all around amazing! LaGuardia needs to keep this teacher if they want to continue to uphold any type of merit where A&P is concerned!
monotonous lecture for 3 hours..too boring cant understand anything and just concerned about finishing the syllabus. Please don't take him if you really need A in this course
Prof. V is definitely a tough professor but he challenges his students to the best of their abilities. This is a difficult course for allied health professionals and not everyone is cut out to be a nurse, PT, etc.. which probably applies to the people who wrote negative comments. If u do well in his class, all other classes are a piece of cake!
What a wonderful young man! (He looks 25) Incredibly intelligent, and is just what you need in this type of course. If you didn't like him it's because you didn't pay attention, he is Crystal Clear on all material, no Blackboard but doesn't matter because he is always clear on what is expected. Fabulous!
Leaves a lot to be desired as a professor. He's clear but long winded and anti social. Probably shouldn't be teaching - misery is contagious. Made a hard class harder and the term seemed longer than 12 weeks. Wouldn't have intentionally taken him but I didn't know better. Wouldn't take him again.
he is no help, look like he does not even want to be here. his exam are really tricky.
average grade is an A? i don't think so, you won't pass with him, he wants to be known as a hard grader. drop this man if you have it, wait a whole semester if you have to, he's not a good person or a good professor. as a person said, leaves allot to be desired as a professor. dry as the sahara desert. very smart, very intelligent, but very bad.
It seems students either really like him (good students) or they don't (lazy students). I enjoyed him since he was so clear and thorough which made such a difficult class easier to understand. You definitely have to work hard in this class but that's the nature of human A&P. Lazy students will not do well! He prepares you well for advanced courses
Got a B+, Some1 said lazy students only hate him, not true, I work pretty hard & have been to other colleges (bard, hunter) & can't stand him. He doesn't clarify, is socially awkward, makes life difficult on purpose. No extra credit, 25 question quiz, 5 matching, 5 true or false, 1 fill in the blank. No other professor does that. Drop while u can!
I've never had to work so hard in a class my whole life. He's a very tough grader and shows no mercy when it comes to tests. No extra credit either, so my advice is, GET OUT WHILE YOU CAN! Leave with peace of mind that ANY other professor can help You better than this one!
Prof V is the best. You will learn so much from him and as long as you listen to what he says and study you will pass. He looks out for the students and is very knowledgeable. You are lucky to have him as a teacher.
Prof. V is a great professor. I'm super happy I had him for my introduction to Human A&P.
Worst professor ever, avoid him while you still can his tests are very tricky and questions are not clear, all he does is reads from the power point slides and he tells everyone study from the power point and you should be fine and that's what I did and no questions on the slides and everyone did bad. I recommend everyone to avoid him.
The professor is very intelligent but also expects a lot from students. Exams are very tricky as most questions either come from obscure sections in his power points or require critical thinking and deep understanding of SCB203 material. If you're not passionate about the material and just want a grade, don't take him. You will do poorly.
Very intelligent professor, he will explain concepts that are hard to grasp. Tests are very tricky!!!!!!!!!! Knowledge from SCB203 a must. Conceptual thinking and process of elimination (most answers seem to be correct!!!!) will give you high scores on his tests.
Although this class is difficult professor v tries his best and gives goof feedback. He is also quite handsome :)
My overwhelming impression is that he thinks of his students as cheaters (weird obsession with separating for tests). His tone of voice is unusually condescending. He is not engaging, nor dynamic. He speaks softly, offers no extra credit and has a very discouraging attitude. And, I'm one of the people getting a 'good' grade. AVOID.
Vidhya's Power Point slides did not contain anything that was on the exams. We did not open our textbook one time during lectures. Vidhya does not give you study guides for exams. He was not engaging or enthusiastic about Anatomy & Physiology. He was very aloof and condescending if you asked any questions. I would not take this professor again.
Prof. V is a great instructor! His lectures are clear & organized. He takes his time to explain difficult concepts in different ways making it easier to understand. He will definitely challenge & push you to the best of your abilities but I wouldn't have any other way since it brings out the best in you. He's also very attractive!
Prof. V is a great professor. He helps his students and explains really good. He keeps reminding all of his students to do good work not just for the grade, but he also understands how hard of the subject is. His test was reasonable, if you listen to him you can make an A for sure.
he was terrible from day 1 , he never fully explained the material and told us basically we had to learn on our own. When we would ask question he would not answer it and ask the class to answer the question , he would say he isn't going to do the work for us when he didn't teach half of the material he tested us on. DON'T PICK HIM FOR LAB OR LEC!!
when i first read the reviews I got very scared and I think because of that I did not have a good first impression with him too but I was surprised that he was totally different than I thought. He is really nice professor and I find myself lucky that I had him for my scb 203 lab. Easy question and very generous. I like him.
His test and expectations are very simple from the students. Every test is on the slides and everything that you need to know and be tested will be given to you. The professor isn't difficult, it's just the curriculum is hard. Just make sure to study and listen in class and manage time accordingly.
SCB 203 is usually a shock for new students because the curriculum is very intensive, be prepared. Everything that will be tested is on the slides and he will give you all the material needed. Make sure to manage time properly and study hard.
Just completed first week, so far so good. Lovely, calm demeanor. Approachable and knowledgeable, teaches on a college level. Know your 203 terms, he does recap but not his responsibility. I love his teaching style, doesnt spend hrs rambling on, on what we should have read pre-class, instead we use class time 2study&ask qs if need be! Recommend!
Great professor! Had both lecture & lab 204. Glad I choose him, much more positive experience then 203 professor. He makes a tough course easier. Professional, calm and approachable. Very fair grading criteria. Highly recommend Prof V! The best in Lagcc. You will need to study a lot but thats the nature of science courses. Terrific professor!
Great professor, knowledgeable and respected. Really have to work hard cause he won't spoon feed. Lectures and exams are pretty straight forward. Only drawback is lectures can get monotonous at times.
he is the best professor I ever met. he is so nice and knowledgeable. he respects every student. I love his class.
He's irritable, doesn't like being asked questions, won't tell you how many questions on exams (important to know for pacing). Exam questions are vague/ written answer. If you don't answer exactly what he wants, he won't give you full credit even if your answer is correct. Marks answers wrong for spelling. Makes a hard class harder. Ruins ur grade.
I personally didn't like his teaching it was very cut throat. He reads off the slides for the duration of the time. If you have a question he would either not answer it or tell us to wait until he asks us if we have any questions. I ended up having to get a tutor for his class and teaching myself the lesson. I would definitely buy the textbook!
This class is geared towards the health professions so of course it will be difficult. Prof expects the best from all his students but many arent cut out for it. Very clear & will answer all questions. Well organized & good pacing. Has a calm presence & makes you feel at ease. Much material to study so you have to give it your best to do well!
If you come in (or log in) late be polite and wait until he finishes. Like most people, he doesn't like repeating himself 15 times. All material he covers is subject to testing. Study hard. He gives daily study times and pop quizzes to help you remember points. Write notes as he speaks. He'll review points that students have a hard time with.
I'm not sure if there is anyone who pass his class but not from my classmates. Somehow most of us passed the lecture class from another professor with good grades but failed his lab classes.
Took this professor for Lab A&P Spring session Hardest professor at LaGuardia disrespect his students treats them like children, and always has a attitude toward his students please avoid this professor.
He's a good professor and clear in his expectations. You definitely have to work for your grade in his class, but all questions are based on what he teaches so there are no real surprises if you put in the work. The subject is difficult, not him. Just pay close attention to what he says and you'll get a good grade. I would take him again.
My class was given four exams. The specific part of the body that we need to learn could be confusing during exams. Instead of teaching he will show videos, sometimes not seen on the exam. Try not to ask him questions because he will probably not answer it anyway. It feels like the professor wants to do everything in his power for students to fail.
One of most difficult class ever taken! Prof great in explaining the material & clear with expectations. Have to work hard due to the amount of information. No surprises on exams IF YOU STUDY! Students that fail are lazy & ask stupid questions which he has to repeat over & over again. 4 exams in lab is standard dept regulation. Would take again!
Fantastic prof! Ive taken this class w/ other profs & he is the one that explains difficult material the clearest! Be prepared to study since this is a difficult class!!!!! Hes very kind & wants everyone to succeed but you have to be willing to do the work. No EZ pass here!
Prof. V knows the subject well. His speech is very clear. However very monotonous, he won't crack the joke. Hard to stay awake during his lecture. His quizzes are really, really hard. They are unnecessary hard, like a professional level, not a student level. The Final is a department exam and is hard too. Prof. will give you feedback if asked.
I have taken his class during fall. He said that the quiz and test are straightforward but yet difficult. He doesn't care about his students at all. If you try ask him a question he will be like check the syllabus. I would never take his class ever again.
OMG, this prof is awesome!!! Took 203 w/ 2 different profs & this one is da best! Very on point, clear lectures & explanations of difficult topics. People that are lazy def will not do well w/ him. Likes to challenge his students to bring out the best in you. A&P is just darn difficult so you have to put in the work!!!! Put your best foot forward!!
Professor Rojanavongse was great. The course itself is very difficult and requires constant self study. Exams are hard and the way he words the questions can trip you up, so be careful. Overall a somewhat stressful experience but not at all the professor's fault. If your GPA really matters to you maybe try another professor! And study ALL THE TIME.
Don't know why people are complaining?? Prof V explains everything clearly. Always answers questions although he will challenge you to find the answer yourself. He teaches you how to teach yourself & doesn't spoon feed. Pretty laid back & chill too. Great prof!
had him for a&p II lab at Hunter. he's very nice! his voice is very soft i felt like i was listening to an asmr podcast so it was kind of hard to stay awake. gave us lots of time to look at the models and was pretty lenient with grading. cool hair too
I feel like hes been teaching for so long he kind of lost his love for it and has become this annoying task? i appreciate his knowledge and he clearly knows a lot about anatomy but he also skips over a lot of topics that are discussed in the book and expect the students to know what hes talking about. his ppts dont say much and are confusing.
Hes straight to the point a lot of people struggle with him but I think anatomy 203 is just a tough course in itself. If you voice out something he will consider it. The lectures are a little boring but overall he is a fair professor. The tests are difficult but practicing questions helped me out a lot.
He speaks very low. Doesn't give you much to work with as far as understanding the material or using the equipment in lab
Prof. Vidhya is soft spoken, but you can ask him after for clarity. He is also really nice and caring. (This is at Hunter College, BIOL120 lab).
Do not take him. He does not listen to the students, he wants word from word answers from the book. AVOID HIM for hunter anatomy
