Great professor but attendance is a must. Goes over the material and makes sure everybody understands it. He answers all your questions. His second test can be a bit tricky but if you study you can get a decent grade. He prepares you well for the final. You don't even need to buy the textbook just study the notes and you can get a good grade.

I would highly recommend Professor Kumar’s class. Do the homework, pay attention, don’t walk-in late, and if you don’t understand something, “ASK”. He is EXTREMLY helpful. I didn’t get an “A” in his class like I said I would, but Prof. Kumar you’ve got an “A++” in my book.

I had prof. Kumar for both Acct 311 & 321 and I must say that he's a very nice prof. He explains very well and will make sure that you get the material...BUT his tests are NOT easy. I thought that I'd get a better grade than I did...can't blame him for that...it's my fault...I would take prof. Kumar again...

He is bi-polar. In addition to his mood swings, he has an odd grading scale that can work in favor for failing students but go against students with decent averages. He can teach, but he has the ****assness syndrome. I dont even think he's a real professor. Zeichner was a real Professor.

His teaching is easy and fun, but the test is hard(It's true). however, he teaches only small parts in each charpters, so you don't have to study whole chapters. Don't text in his class because he can just get straight up nasty! He does walk around and help you with the problems which is good. The only reason why I took this class in the summer was because this man was teaching it. A professor like this doesn't come along all the time. You go to his class and take notes and pay attention to him you will do just fine. I haven't done so well in his exams because I work full time and time is an issue, but I sure learned a lot from him.

Very difficult class! Professor Kumar is VERY intelligent and if you really want to learn he is the professor to take. What I like about the class is that he doesn't teach all topics from the chapter...only certain topics. READ THE TEXTBOOK AND DO HW! Also come to every single class!

I've taken Professor Kumar for 202 and now 321 - I love his method of teaching. He is very serious, but he explains the accounting and related concepts in a very easy to digest and understandable way. It all comes down to if you come to class and understand the material. The exam is EXACTLY what you do in class. If you put the effort into it, you will get a good grade; if you slack off, it won't be pretty. Be careful, he is very anal to how you present the material on the test. REMEMBER -- put dates on your journal entries.

I wish all accounting professors in QC be like professor Kumar. Take him if you want to learn something, not an easy A class. I took him for acct202 and acct 321. Took Kumar in the Fall and I consider him one of the best accounting professors at QC. If you show up to class, participate, do your HW, and aren't on any type of electronic device (including laptops) he will not be "nasty" or "rude". He explained the material so well and his exams were fair. Would definitely take him again.

Very intelligent and explains the material clearly; step by step. Exams are straight from lecture and homework. Just FYI, a lot of people say he's nasty and rude, but he's not. He is the great prof in the QC. if i take him before i will be graduate by this year with out any problem. I took it before with nicky Debura and he is a bad teacher and teaching was not clear. when i took him i got a C- and with Kumar i got an A so friends its a big different.

Two grades for the entire course. Midterm and final, each 50%. Exams mimic in-class examples and HW assigned from the textbook. Overall, one of the more focused accounting lectures at QC. Would recommend.

Professor Kumar can rubbed off as moody, but thats because of the discipline he has. Overall not really a hard professor hes knowledgeable about the subject and doesnt go off topic. If you're not a good test taker not to fear he isnt out to get you, he'll help you towards the end.

Miss class once, you will miss a ton of important information. Write down everything he says and that's all you need to study, no need for the textbook (unless you didn't understand what happened in class). 3 exams, same format - 25 MC and an essay question (scenario based, response to, and how would you do that type of questions). STUDY!!

Get over the fact that he's not there to baby you or be your friend, and you'll learn more in this course than you did in 101, 102 and 201 - combined. Midterm and Final determine your grade, both exams are computational and directly from his lectures. Go to class, study your notes and you'll do well. Take him if you're serious about accounting.

Took him for summer session. He was fair in terms of grading, if you want to get A study on what he says. Mostly uses his knowledge during lecture but textbook does help in understanding the concept well. Beware of him, he might insult you in front of class if you do something nonsense. Other than that he is pretty awesome. Would take him again.

Intermediate Accounting is not an easy subject. Professor Kumar comes off as strict but towards the end of the semester he ensures that no one suffers. One thing I appreciated was that he gets straight to the point as to what he expects on tests. He doesn't focus on unnesecary stuff. You just have to ensure you put in the necessary time.

Professor Kumar seemed scary at first but ones u attend a few classes you will know he is like that because hes old school and wants students to learn the material. Professor Kumar is very knowledgeable. He can come off as rude but I think he means well. He expects you to work and wants you to work. Even if you're not right, trying matters. He makes the material so easy. Do home works, show up to class and refrain from reading the textbook. He makes that textbook a million times easier.

His lectures are very informative, and he is willing to help students with questions. He brings current cases to connect his class which I personally very like it, make the classes more alive. Essay topic is from his lectures. If you listen to his lectures and note everything, recording the lectures is also helpful to do better in his essay. Overall he is a good professor.

I had a good semester with this professor. He is very detailed in his lecture. His writing assignments/midterm/finals are based on what he lectured. Reading the text book will reinforce what he lectured and will be helpful personally. I think this professor was generous and caring to us inlight of the pandemic, he graded us fairly.

The class was online in Spring 2021 on Sunday at 9:15, and he is always on time, and always into point! He is looking to support, definitely not to fail us( future auditors or accountants)But only take him when you are about to graduate, since you are ready for career in accounting because this teacher is going to aspire you for your future career!

I had the privilege of being in his Acct 758 class. His knowledge were efficient. He used effective technics, went above and beyond to make students understand the complicated topics and made sure students are well rounded and capable in Tax and Audit for the real world. He is very competent in ACCT321. He is a fair grader, so if you want an easy grade without effort, will not make it. If you go to his lectures and take good notes and read them before each class, you will be good. He prepares you for the real world, to be a good Auditor. I took Professor Kumar about 5 years ago. He is a real professor, educator, he cares for you to do GREAT not only in his class but else in life. Tough personality but prepares you for real life! You will learn a lot! great class.

He's a very knowledgeable professor and has a lot of experience in the field. He isn't for snowflakes but the class is easy to pass if you put the time in and take good notes. Grade is based on exams only and hw is optional but recommended to do. He tells you what will be on the exams but he did throw in a few curveballs so know your stuff.

Update to sept 7 bad review I gave. He grades tests VERY leniently. He seems tough but over the semester you come to realize he is a good guy trying to inform ppl about the real world. Just study a LOT and do your best on exams, you'll be fine, I promise. Take VERY good notes. He gets mad if ppl don't do hw or don't pay attention. SO DON'T BE LAZY.
