I would not recommend taking this class... She has no mercy despite knowing that it is class for people trying to complete their reqs. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. If you are okay with failing every test!!! Her extra credit is like $100 and its harder than the tests themselves...
I learned a lot more in this class than my AP I. If you want to learn anatomy then I recommend.
She makes you read the book. gives lots of extra credit- mastering biology and classroom activities . some are fun. some not. Honestly, she is a good teacher and helped me also with my lab work . Don't listen to those who never show up for class, don't study, and want a free pass. Then they blame teacher for failing.
One of the toughest teachers that BC has to offer. However she is great teacher and will learn a lot. Word from the wise STUDY STUDY STUDY! you will get a quiz every class and a skill check at the end of every class where she will test your knowledge. Professor Parkash was very tough I have to admit but if you really want to learn for your future TAKE HER! I will definitely take her for BSC2086 and BSC2086L. You have to take her for both Lecture and Lab so everything can make better sense and make it easier for you. She is sweet though. TAKE HER

I took this six weeks course and was worried but Prof Parkash made it fun and interesting. It was a a tough course but a great class!
She's very nice and KNOWS what she's talking about. If you have a question she will give it her all for you to understand. Very easy going.

I am currently taking this course and I regret it. I believe she is a good prof and if you study you will learn BUT she comes off a bit rude, sarcastic and has no mercy. She does give extra credit and tests your knowledge at the end. We are all here to learn and life is already tough as it is but I don't appreciate the way she comes off .
I took her BSC2085 and am taking this class because I like this professor. She is teaching the class different way and she explained it at the beginning and I am liking it . I have to study a lot but I am lso learning a lot.
I'm taking her for the lecture and the lab. In the lecture, she doesn't teach. She expects you to go home and teach everything yourself and when you come into class you're just going to do group activities. She's super tough and doesn't have a lot of mercy, you really have to study or you will seriously fail.
I personally am not to good in science but in this lab she doesn't make it easy on you, as soon as you get into class you should already know what is being taught and be able to pass the quiz she gives right as you walk in.
I took this professor for BSC2085L and now I am taking her BSC2086L. It was hard to get into any of her classes because they fill up super fast because she is so good. I had family issues and she was very helpful . Just took the lab mid term exam that included everything that she covered in class.
she speaks way to fast. she has an hard Indie accent barely understand her. she is very hard grader. does not care if u pass or fail . she does not give you any chances. she does not tell you what is on the test she is not direct . cannot turn in late assignments . she also expects you to know the material . warning do not waste your time
This professor is the worst I have ever had. She's rude whenever you ask a question or do not understand something. There's a quiz right when you walk into class everyday. She doesn't care if you pass or fail and she has no personality. Please take my advice, do not take her!!!!!
I took her class online, so there wasn't a lot of contact with her as it is. When I did contact her, it took her forever to answer my emails. I once emailed her about a grade that I didn't understand. Two weeks passed, so I emailed her again, and she finally replied, but she was so rude! That's generally how she was when I asked a question.
I am taking her A&P lab and like this teacher. She makes you do a lot of HW but I am learning more in lab than in my lecture class. I like this teacher because she is nice.
I was so scared of taking this class and did not take it till now . This is last class required for my AA. Trust me , no way this an easy class but she gives extra credit for classroom work and home work and that helps. Don't be afraid of taking her !

If you do not have a passion for science or are not willing to study & take your time to get to know the material, do not take this professor. Study guides? NO. You have to have knowledge on everything. This is not an easy class & not one of those super nice, easy-going professors. You must know your stuff to pass. Beware..
Great professor. It was not a difficult class, it just required a lot of studying which should be expected. If you're taking AP 2 there's clearly a particular field you're looking into and if you can't handle this class, might as well find something else because you won't last in the nursing program. Most here complaining just want their hands held
She's very knowledgeable about the course and willing to help out. Her courses require lots of studying and lots of prayer. 3 Quizzes, 3 exams, a midterm and a final that are challenging, especially if you don't take the time to study. She gives a lot of extra credit mostly online homework, attendance and participation. FYI STUDY! STUDY! & PRAY!
Took her for lecture & lab. She's pretty cool & very knowledgeable on the subject matter. At times she can be become a little impatient in the lab and lecture. Her expectation for you to grasps the material in a matter of an hour are ridiculous. Overall, study hard & read you will do fine. 13 Quizzes, a midterm & a final. Extra Credit is available.
One of the best teachers I have had at BC. No doubt she is tough! She will make sure you study, study and study. I did all my Pre Lab HW for EC and spent a lot of time in building 72. Mid Term and finals are tough and required to pass. So, if you are ready to study hard, then she is the teacher for you.
I took her for lecture and Lab. She is tough. Lots of group work during the class that I did not like much. I have never studied so hard in my life. But I survived and got a good grade thanks to all the EC. Get ready to forget everything and just read.
Let me be very clear! Parkash is not an easy teacher. But she knows her stuff, and holds you accountable to know your stuff as well. Come to class everyday and be prepared! She is very reasonable, is willing to explain anything you dont understand. If you want to learn and are willing to work take parkash!!
I took her because one of my friends who is in Nursing program told me that she is the best. After taking this class, I understand why . I am thankful that the course is finally over and I survived!! Now ready for Micro and then praying to get into Nursing :)
Go ahead a take her class. Be prepared to possibly fail or watch a lot of people drop from her class. She is no joke and doesn't care about the students passing. She doesn't help you or give extra credit if you need it.

I took her for BSC2086 lecture and Lab last term. She is a good teacher but strict and makes you study hard. Only those lazy F students will tell you not to take her class !
I am taking her lecture this term. I am happy to be in her class because I have learned much more in this class than I did in my AP I. If you are thinking of taking summer or fall AP class and you want a teacher who will make you study then sign up for her. Her classes fill fast.

This class was heavy on home work and classroom work. There were lots of EC that saved my final grade. Learned a lot in past 4 months but it took me hours of study, study and study. If you want a good grade forget everything else and pay attention to your notes and the book.
HW is extra credit. She checks your "lab skills" every lab! Be careful -Got to study if you want to pass her lab.
Never take A&P in summer 6 weeks. Its hard!!!!! But hey does she love to teach and make ya study or no pass ! Tests are not too bad but so many in 6 weeks. My suggestion to all you guys and gals wanting to take A&P- take both lab and lecture with the same professor. May save your life.
I took her for both BSC2085 & BSC2085L. She is straightforward, explains material well & expects students to put in effort in order to receive a good grade. She offers a fair amount of extra credit in both lecture & lab. It is no problem to get an "A" if you put in the work; however, I wouldn't recommend 6-week course if you've never taken biology.
Parkash is amazing, took for Summer 17 Sess 2! Def akes you work for your grade. Pop quizzes every once in a while so read chapters before class, complete hw online, go to office hrs to review quizzes & tests, & you are good. Pop quizzes & online hw are EC. Def willing to answer any questions. Great to take for nursing prereq & DON'T TAKE IF LAZY!
Parkash is great, took BSC2085L Sess 2! Def make you work for your grade. There is quiz & completed hw turn in beginning of every class, read lab manual & review anatomy b4 class, will make labs easier! Hw completion & skill check points are EC but DO THEM ALL they will save your grade come final! Great for Nursing majors & DON'T take if lazy!
Take this teacher if you want to go for nursing. My friend who is in nursing program told me about Prof. Parkash and I took her BSC2085. I am taking her for BSC2086 lecture and Lab in fall because I like to learn and found her to be good teacher.
Take her! She wants to help you understand and makes the class assignments very helpful. Gives a lot of assignments to pass the class even if you don't do good on the exams. Her lab requires a lot of studying and is a lot harder, but she gives extra credit homework. You must study to pass lab she asks a lot of questions for a grade.
She's most likely the best out there when it comes to anatomy and physiology lecture. I love her. There are extra points to help you out and to help your grade. This class does take hard work and dedication.
Tough is an understatement. Ive endured sleepless nights in order to pass this class. However, is she's a great professor, you will learn in her course. I took her for 2085L and her class was harder than the actual lecture lol.
I saw that some people that say that those who get F in her class havent done any work. That is false. I worked very hard for her class studied her PowerPoints and the book and no matter how I studied. All she does is read off her PowerPoint. If you are looking for a class like that then take her however if you learn differently then stay away.
Gives an unreasonable amount of work, tests are nothing like what she tells us to study for. Don't take her if science isn't your strong point. "Lectures" are extremely vague. I took the class online and she gave an exam that was only available during the holiday weekend and would not change it for student's who work retail or were traveling.
Let me start off by saying that this will be the hardest semester of your life. Be prepared to study everyday and night. Her lectures are only off of PowerPoints and what she says is complete opposite for her test. Including homework assignments. She has many pop quizzes before her lectures so be prepared. Her lab is based off the lecture book...
Hardest thing I ever done. If you take her make sure you know your stuff before class. All she does is read off the power point and some of the power point stuff is on the test. She expects you to know everything and remember them from anatomy one.
Would not recommend this professor to anyone. Says one thing and means something completely different, she is not understanding, and her pop quizzes are nearly impossible. Her expectations of students are through the roof, when most of us work and take other classes. Good luck to those signed up for her.
I am not surprised to read the previous comments before me. She is tough but made me study very very hard. In the beginning I hated her, by Mid Term I realized that I am learning so much! I made a B in this class but I feel I am ready for my next Micro class that I know is not easy. Only thos who seriously want to learn A&P should take her class.
Took her AP 1 Lab in fall and will be taking her for AP 2 lecture and lab in Spring 2018. I liked her because she made me study. I learned more in her lab than in my lecture . Some professors don't care if you learn anything or not.
The class is hard and I had to study hard but I made an A . I am signed up for her AP2 for spring term.
She is tough but makes it easy for you to make a good grade. Mastering Biology HW was extra credit and classroom worksheets were very easy. I liked the class and made an A. Wish she was teaching BSC 2010.
I am not a science major and hate it but had to take this class for graduation. Online quizzes and extra credit saved my GPA. I took her evening class because I work during day. She is OK.

This professor means business. She will make you study so hard that you are not going to like her. But once you are done with her class you will realize how useful it is . I am in NUR program and now and I understand important it is to know A&P.

I took her AP I last term and now taking her AP II lecture and lab. If you want a a professor who cares that you study and learn Anatomy then she should be your choice. Trust me, you will learn a lot.
At first, Professor Parkash may come off strict, but over time youll get use to it. Shes actually very helpful and will answer any questions that you have. She also gives TONS of extra credit!!! Make sure to do everything; pre labs, skill checks + ASC as well. Study hard for midterm and final. Overall good class and would take her again.
Don't take her if you don't read everyday. She gives out pop quizzes, no open book. She reads off a PowerPoint and doesn't really teach. Gives slight extra credit and hw. Also, she's very strict.
I took her evening class at Miramar West. I was scared stiff because science is not my major. This professor wants to help her students. Quizzes are online and lots of extra credit. Exams were hard but I survived. Don't be afraid of her!
I have mix feelings about this class. The assignments were not hard as long as you studied and you can always go back through the power points. the tests were not easy. even if you studied its the way they are worded that will confuse you. she is NOT lenient when it comes to assignments ! DO IT AND DO IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME OR YOURE OUT OF LUCK!!

She was extremely cooperative with the class considering we were on a 6 week course and took the time to stay afer class every day to answer questions and go over material you may not have fully understood. Ultimately she wants you to pass and is willing to put in time to help you and if it wasnt for that idk if id have passed Bio

I was not doing so well in this class and wanted to withdraw but thanks to this professor I stayed. I learned a lot and have gained confidence in A&P. I recommend this professor.

Took her lecture and Lab. Definitely not easy class. Be ready to study like crazy to pass this class. Gives lots of chances to make points. extra credit , 13 short Socrative quizzes, 3 quizzes, one written assignment, and 4 exams . Overall a good class.
Loved this online class. No need drive to college to listen to boring lectures . No textbook to buy! Just make sure finish everything on time and you are all set. If you snooze you loose .

I've never had a professor this bad/tough in all the years I've been studying. I would ask her for help and she would respond to go to the book and study by it, I would tell her I already read the book but she wouldn't respond my questions whatsoever. She doesn't review the test so you don't know what you did wrong
Dr. Parkash is very tough. She expects everyone to study and show up for class. She incorporates a lot of group activities in her classes. She grades very hard but she also teaches very well.

Anatomy is hard enough please don't take her she is very strict and does not care about students. Her lectures go too fast and hard to follow. She does not hive atudy guides so os even harder to memorized every chapter and power point.

For it being a BSC1005 for non bio majors, she thinks were actually going into the biology field. Even if you wrote an impeccable discussion and your class mates agree and likes it, she finds a way to take off points. Missed a discussion because it wasnt even on the actual syllabus and I emailed her about it and she doesnt care.
shes a very complicated teacher, she wont help in any way when it comes to you asking for help towards your grade. Her tests are complicated and long. Wont recommend this teacher at all.
Very fair professor, she doesn't give review for her exams. She expect you to read every chapter, but she offers a lot of extra credit and attendance is one of them. Believe me when I say and I was averaging a D on every exams and still came out with an A. Good Luck you guys!
This professor is very tough! You need to study in order to pass & even then tests are hard. Lectures go super quick. No study guides so expect to read every single chapter. Exams every 4 chapters, quizzes every 2. No reviews so you dont know what you did wrong. She gives EC, make sure you do them all to help you pass.
Dr. Parkash is really thorough with her detail. You will definitely pass her class with her outline and help along the way. Her quizzes and test run parallel to her online slides and notes. Great instructor!
Dr. Parkash is very informative and detailed with the lab criteria and studies. She's really good with making sure you understand the models and experiments. You can ask her questions throughout class and she is always available during her office hours is you're struggling with anything. She gave me the impression she wanted me to succeed.
She is my favorite professor. I took both BSC2085 and 2086 lecture and lab with her and loved her! She knows her stuff, is fair, and makes you learn what is important for you to know.

Horrible professor all around. She will make you memorize four chapters for an exam, 70 slides per chapter and then ask the most minimally present thing on a slide. She also does not know how to teach and always goes at a very fast pace.
She is not an easy professor. I had to study a lot for my A. She gives a lot of hints for the exams and plenty of extra credit.
She does not care for her students, if you struggle with anything don't expect any pity from her. Her materials are all very information heavy and the quizzes and exams cover the smallest most inadequate sentence in the entire works of information she requires you to study. Some of the materials she provides is old and out of date. DONT TAKE! RUN!

I recommend this professor! Dont even need that huge book. Lots of important information in power points! Get prepared to learn and memorize! Answer questions, participate in class activities. Dr. Prakash is strict, but fair. Like every college professor would expect you to learn! Her grading is fair, will round the grade if you miss a few points
Took both lecture and lab and am I so glad I did that. During lecture she covers everything in detail and it helps a lot with the Lab. Several students in lab were taking another professor for lecture and boy they were in big trouble. Not all the professors care to teach what you have to know for lab. Take both her Lecture and Lab.
Guys, this is a HARD class! It was not easy but it is all worth the time spent in learning the material. Lots of classroom activities and extra credit for studying in ASC.
Amazing professor! Took her for both A&P 1 and 2 over the summer w/ lab. She is extremely knowledgeable about the material and never stumbled on a single question all summer. A lot of reviews saying she doesnt care and that the slides are long but she gives TONS of extra credit and works with each student. Was glad to receive a rec letter from her
Not helpful at all and very difficult to get into contact with. Seems like a very lazy professor and takes a long time to post grades. Very rude to students when replying to questions. Easy class but awful teacher.
She's alright. She gives EC opportunities on every exam (5 bonus Q's) which is nice and has helped save my grade. However, she goes a bit fast and I kind of feel like I'm teaching myself everything. She doesn't give any study guides for any sort of exam/quiz so I did feel lost, but I still studied ALOT and got A's. If you're lazy, don't take her.
She might make you hate science. The long lectures are pretty boring if youre not interested in the class and you must take notes because she doesnt give reviews for ANY of her quizzes or tests . Little bit of an accent.
She does drop your lowest grade for each quiz and test. Although she doesnt interact with The students and in the emails comes across rude. Lots of work in the class but if you enjoy biology, I would recommend taking it but not with her.

I took the online session 3 and it was roller coster. Online classes are tough but I needed it to get into my program. Had to keep up with all the quizzes, discussions and assignments but boy I survived :) Professor was very helpful because I emailed her several times and she was super nice.
This teacher cares only one thing- that you study hard and learn AP! She is very tough because she does not want to you take it easy or slack in her class. I took both AP I and II lecture and lab with her and have no regrets. I just got accepted in NUR. Yeaaa me... :))
She has no mercy on students who don't study. So, if you are looking for an easy A then find another professor. If you want to learn A&P and pass HESI and get into Nursing then she is the best. Lots of extra credit , three quizzes and four exams plus those socrative quizzes saved my final grade. Did learn a lot though ...
I have mixed feeling about this teacher. Sometimes I love her and other times I just hate her. Overall I think she is nice because she cares for me and will go out of her way to help her students out. Still, don't like her exams!
Just took her online non majors Bio class and made an A. She is very helpful and answers your email very quick unlike other online profs who NEVER ever bother to get back to you. She is available during her office hour and did help me out when I got booted out of one exam. She gives you free book .Save your money.
Its a lot of work but I don't like driving to college and sitting in class. So this class worked for me. I just now signed up for her AP 1 lecture and Lab for summer. This course is not offered online so I am taking a chance and think I know her a little by now. I believe she cares for her students.
I needed this course for my major. Her on campus class lectures and exams were harder but the online Blackboard teaching and exams were much better. I managed to keep up with the Connect HW, take all pop quizzes and a lot of studying for exams. If I can do it anyone can . Don't wait.
She gives 11 quizzes and drops the lowest grade. Her quizzes are really HARD and you won't find the answers in the lab manual! The midterm and final exams are easy. She gives 25 extra credit points as well... STUDY HARD and you'll pass her class. She also has a bit of "I don't care attitude" when she's ready!
Listen ya all- I took this class on campus and failed. Took it online and got an A!! If you are like me just wanting to pass this class for your sciences then do yourself a favor and take it online and you will know what I mean. Finish ALL your work every week - because if you snooze you may loose. Professor is helpful.
The first half of the course was before the remote-learning switch. The quiz at the beginning of each class most of the time had nothing to do with what we previously learned the week prior. After the remote learning switch, the class wasn't as bad. She is tough, but won't let you down.
She gives 4 exams, 3 quizzes and online pop quizzes and lots of extra credit. Not an easy class but yes a lot of reading and learning. Signed up for her AP II and praying to lord to help me.
Dr. Parkash is a fair professor, her classes are not an easy A or B, you really have to work for your grade and have to read a lot, but she also gives a lot of opportunities for extra credit.

In March our class was moved to online but Prof Parkash was very supportive and continued teaching us on line. Her lectures on Blackboard were great and all recorded and the final exam on Connect was so much easier than her classroom exams. Found her to be helpful always . Wish she was teaching Micro!!
Due to COVID our class was moved to online after our Midterm. Midterm was not easy but if you follow provided "study guide", you will do well. She handled moving to online very well and always made class very fun. She seems scary but shes not! Do your work and study and you will do great. I very much enjoyed her class and would take her again.

Rates like these is why I made the mistake ending up in her class. Our first lab ever she called out an older lady for asking help with the microscope. Overall, very negative attitude.. felt uncomfortable asking her anything. Homework is due every class, read through it because once the lab starts you are on your own.
I am a Business Major but had to take this class for science requirement. Everything in this online course is laid out clearly but it as fast paced. When I emailed the Professor, she was super helpful . Did not have to spend any money on buying a text book. Took the exams from my bedroom . I had to read a lot but I it was all cool stuff.
If you are looking for an easy A, go find someone else. Prof. Parkash will not make it easy for you. BUT, she will make sure you learn Anatomy. So, if you want to learn AP i will recommend her. I want to be a nurse so did not want an easy professor.

she was one of the worst professors Ive ever had. she was rude and literally called me stupid once, I had her right before corona started and we had a quiz every class and the quiz could be on things she never taught us. IF YOU WANT TO PASS DO NO NOT TAKE HER. I had to drop the class because she was so horrible. she is mean.
She is an good professor. I took her AP I and II and never had any problem with her. She has a bit of accent but other than that she is great. Wrote a recommendation letter for my NUR pgm when other professors did not even answer my email!
Take her class only if you want to learn Anatomy . She will make you study very hard but also gives lot of extra credit.
This professor is nightmare status. If I went into specifics, i'd barely be done before running out of the max characters. She is rude, condescending, and spiteful. She demands "correct" spelling but it's never clear what "correct" is. Forget trying to ask her a question, she'll laugh. 20 question exams, 10 minutes, abt content not in any resource.
I had to add more. Its not just that she's condescending, grades harshly, and gives quizzes on material you dont have. She makes up arbitrary rules on the fly or acts as if what she's said has always been said. There is no, coming to an understanding with her. Although an online class, you can read between the lines and notice her condescending tone. Not very forgiving - very black and white in her grading. I would not take her class again. What a mistake!
She is a nice professor and was very helpful to me during Spring semester. I remember some students in my class never studied and blamed their F grade on teacher and were disrespectful. I took her both AP I and AP II and made a good grade.
Prof Parkash is very fair . Her class is not an easy A like some other professors at BC. You really have to work hard for your grade and have to read a lot, but she gives a lot of extra credit and online HW that is very easy.
These remote classes HARD! She tries her best to teach and even created groups during lab time where we can chat and help each other out. Lots of videos and power point to go through. All in all, I liked this teacher. Just signed up for her AP II lab !
I liked the remote/distant learning class this summer. It was much easy to study at home and not go to BC and sit in the lecture hall. All lectures are recorded so I was able to review them on my own. All exams are online. I had technical issues during one exam and she was super nice and gave me another chance. Easy assignments worth few points.
Never take this class, teacher is rude and always has an attitude. She never really cares if you fail and will not help if u are failing the class she couldn't care less about your grade. Gives you quizzes that she doesn't even teach every week just make ur life harder. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS!!!!!

Took this online class for my science requirements. Lots of assignments, quizzes and discussions that are easy but exams are hard. She opened the exams for me twice because I had family members with COVID I had to take care of. Real sweet professor but a bit tough.

I am surprised to read some of these bad A&P reviews here. Don't let them misguide you. I think she is one of the best professor BC has. She is very knowledgable, and there is help you. I am going for my second bachelors degree and she is the worst teacher I have taken. She is rude and very condescending when she speaks to you. If you ask her a question, she will tell you to find it in the book and then criticize you about why you don't know it. Rude in emails. Laughs at students. I don't even know why she teaches to be honest.
Took her online for the first time, mind you, I am a business major. She is very clear on what she expects, she post a calendar as to when all the assignments are due. She does give 4 extra credit chances which are 5 pts each. She is very caring and accessible. I definitely recommend her!
Online classes are hard and I took her session 4 online class. I was scared !!! It went very quickly and Thanks to Prof Parkash I was able to keep up with the class and passed the class with an A. Make sure you do all your work on time and complete all those EC she offers.
She is very strict, no doubt. She will keep you on your toes. No snoozing here. If you follow her Syllabus , keep up with readings and all the quizzes , exams assignments you will pass with a good grade. Don't forget the Connect HW. Those extra credit points are great help to bump up your grade.

Professor Parkash was encouraging when I had family issues that prevented me from completing exams. Its because of her help that I was able to complete this course.
I took her API because my elder brother took her BSC1005 and told me to sign up for her course when I wanted to go for my Physical Therapy Assistant. I know she is tough but that just how she is. Its her tough love because she wants you to do well or drop out and not waste your time and money. Strongly recommend her.
Dr. Parkash fosters an environment of clear expectation, availability outside the course, and a desire for her students to do well. The lecture is rich with information and provides an excellent platform for students own studying. Be ready to work but be assured that Dr. Parkash is always ready to help and see her students succeed. Fantastic Prof!
She is very knowledgeable and will answer any question you ask. She gives you videos, power points, and lots of ways to learn. I really liked group activities during lab time. Exams are hard but gives plenty of extra credits!

Dr. Parkash was the most rigorous/best professor thus far in my time at Broward College. Though she is strict and her work can weed out those who do not put 110% of their effort, if you stick to a tight schedule and study more than you sleep, you will pass. Where to start. The material she gives likes tests and quizzes are default from the department you can tell. However her job as a professor to go out of her way to actually teach us and make sure we understand is pretty bad. This professor accused me of cheating before I could even take the first exam. She did this on the basis of me having technical difficulties with her precious HonorLock program for online classes. She is emotionally abusive, and a bully. Look her up under Laxmi too. She goes by two names, and they both have lots of very negative reviews. STAY AWAY.

She has a total of 5 exams that are all proctored, all her study guides have nothing to do with the exams. This fully online class is a lot of work but easy and fun. No book to buy. All the material is online and I just had to complete quizzes, discussions, and assignments on time. Its an easy A.
I had zero issues taking this online class! Assignment expectations were clear and quizzes were easy as long as you did the reading. If not, there's reviews too. 5 extra credit vocab quizzes which don't take long at all and are straight from the text so definitely do them. The exams were exactly what you saw on the quiz. Highly recommend!
Horrible experience to say the least. Quizzes are super hard, one module had more than 500 slides plus extra reading and connect lab exercises. Keep in mind this class has about 13 modules. Quizzes are all fill in the blank and the questions are vague. She doesn't says what is expected to know for the exam so assume that you need to know everything
The class itself wasn't inherently difficult. She uses textbook-generated quizzes, and lessons. She offered no suggestions for improvement and grades about two weeks late. The assignments were do-able and the assignment load was manageable, but as a teacher, she wasn't there nor attempted to. She could have been a robot. I wouldn't have noticed.
I wouldn't take this class with this professor she was very rude. Didn't show any interest at all. She was very passive-aggressive. The lab schedule for the hw isn't clear and when you go up to ask questions she answers with attitude. I would steer clear of this professor if I were you. Never again!! I should've withdrawn when I had the chance.
This professor is very fair. She wants us to learn and not just get an easy A unlike some other professors here at BC. I studied very hard for my grade and am happy with the outcome as I feel ready for my AP II and have signed up with her for fall class.

the work wasn't hard I took a 8 week class as long as you turn in and complete the assignment it should be an easy a. doesn't even check to see if the work was correct. very easy class but attendance does matter bc she doesn't take late work unless there a valid excuse (doctors note).
She is a good professor but a but bit strict with her policies. She will make sure you study very hard and learn the subject to get a good grade. No easy A's in her class ! Now choice is yours- easy A with an easy professor and get into NUR and then fail the program, or take her, study hard to learn AP so you can do well in your Nursing program.
Took this class at Miramar West Campus spring term. It was a small class and Professor Parkash was very nice. The class is hard but she helped me all along and I liked her teaching methods. I have already signed up for her fall AP 2

Class homework was easy and with lots of studying you could easily accomplish a good grade, but professor was rude and even disrespectful sometimes I didnt like her attitude and would not take her again.

Took this Lab the second time and I took her for 8 weeks she was good.She also will make you do homework by coloring and labeling even though she doesn't check if is right or wrong. The quizzes are online and easy. I didn't do good in the midterm but pass the finale with an C. To pass lab study hard. She also gives out extra credit.
Took this professor for BSC1085 lecture and lab. For lecture, she was mostly chill, however at the beginning of the term, she would call on people and make them recall information and nagged at the class if they weren't participating or were able to recall information properly. Has an accent, but not too bad. Just reads off of the slideshows.
Lots of homework, but easy and for a completion grade. Scares students and calls them out at random times for an answer and humiliates students if they didn't know the answer. Very mean, not very approachable, doesn't have a lot of patience. Avoid if you can. If you can't, prepare to be humiliated.
Took her AP I lecture and lab. She was tough but when I went to her office she was nice and gave good tips. All she wants is to make you learn AP. Regret not taking her for my AP II.
She comes off as strict but is real nice and helpful. There is no easy A in her class. She will make you learn the material that, I really appreciated. I want to go into Nursing with a good understanding of human body so that I am able to do well in my career.
Amazing professor, I would 100% take her again for any class. She is kinda strict but it really pushes you to study the material. Any time I had a question she always tried her best to explain and clarify things. Weekly quizzes and homework; many extra credit opportunities! Overall, great and caring professor-- be prepared to work for your grade!
This professor is easy yet her entire d2L structure was everywhere, assignments had no due date and the ones that did literally had them for the following year when this course was a session two for summer. Her replies to emails are fast yet rude. If you take her course online make sure your ready to teach yourself the whole semester.
This professor has showed me no mercy while taking this class. She has no sympathy for students and if you missed anything forget about making it up. You could have a death in the family and she still will not allow you to make up the work. These professors just take your money and do not care to help you pass the class or not. Choose wisely.

Lab - know the pig and histology specifically anterior pituitary, pancreas, spleen, heart, thymus, reproductive system of human and pig! Good luck!

Professor Parkash runs a tough but rewarding class. She expects a lot, but provides valuable feedback and helps you learn. Resources like unstuckstudy ai were key for my study prep.

Personally, her teaching style is not for me. She did not give study guide out for exams prior she doesn't really go over the exam or what's gonna be on it so you don't really have an idea of what is gonna be on it she just tells you to study everything. not the best teacher
Please do not listen to these reviews, I wish somebody would have told me how difficult and mean she was. Whatever was on the exam was not being reviewed in class, and she gave no study guide which I was okay with, but nothing being taught in the lecture was on the exam. Please do not trust the good reviews! Unorganized and passive-aggressive.
Please use another professor she does not care about her students. I should've taken another professor. She is very hard on the students & should take more english before choosing to teach this subject.
Prof Parkash will make you study hard for that A or B you are shooting for. Not an easy class, but you sure will learn a lot in this course.
she will give you power points about 80 slides per chapter. Every class she only explains a little bit of everything. She doesn't like getting emails so if you have a question good luck. She is rude to students. Her test are in class and they are very hard and confusing she gives pop quizzes, homework's are timed and long so you can't learn on it.
There is a quiz every week online that you can complete at home. You need the textbook to complete the work. Attendance is mandatory, as well as a lab coat, anatomy kit, and eye protection. Midterms and finals are tough but not impossible as long as you study.
Professor is very rude and only responds to emails when he wants. Study guide giving for each exam is at least 60+ pages and there are about 4 study guides for each exam. Homework assignments barely cover what is on the exam. Grading system that is in the syllabus does not align with grade points he give.

AWFUL! If you want to fail, take her class! Her due dates are firm and she doesn't care what happen she's not going to accommodate. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL and EXTREMELY RUDE and apparently she does whatever she want because it's a pattern based on others that were taking her class as well. I took this professor for my first anatomy class online. The responses you receive for any announcements or email were very monotone. There was no sense of care in anything. I understand you technically have to teach yourself with the assistance of a teacher online, but it doesn't feel like the teacher wanted to assist. No extra credit or guidance.
Exam questions do not reflect the content- most questions are purposely worded to be tricky and confusing. If taking the online course, be prepared to teach yourself absolutely everything. No study guides. No extra credit given besides an extra 5 points at the end of the semester. Please save your grade and take someone else.
Horrible professor and extremely rude. reached out asking for guidance on how to do better in the class and improve my grade but she was completely dismissive. told me to just go to tutoring because anatomy is a complicated subject. Be prepared to teach yourself everything. 30 page Study guides don't reflect anything on the actual exams.
Employing this person is a poor and alarming reflection of BC. She is not deserving of the role as a professor and should not be referred to as that. Appalling lack of professionalism and above all, teaching capabilities. Like another reviewer said I passed, but because of my own hard work- not her teaching or lack thereof.
Completely rude & unprofessional. Study guide is entire chapter, quizzes are 50 questions in 15 mins. Feedback request for assignments were met with hostility... said she doesn't appreciate this & I should think before sending such emails! I thought that is what she is here for, no?
