He is a great professor! He is very confident and motivated for each class. He puts his every effort to make you understand, and it worked for me. I highly recommend him for any physics course! His SI session is tremendous.
Amazing and funny professor, loved his class !!
This professor is really awesome, very knowledgeable and makes even the boring subjects interesting. If you get a chance to take Sudesh for any physics class, do it. He is very down to earth and teaches well. Easy A if you put the effort.
Very active and interesting professor. He can turn any boring topic into something extremely fun. He'll keep the class engaged at all times which is not easy and the tests you will feel well prepared. Awesome guy, can't go wrong with him. Would take any class with him if I could.
Awesome professor, loved his class, very informative and well prepared .
Dr Sudesh is a great professor, I would take his class again if needed for any physics course.
I had to retake this class because I didnt do well the first time, but Dr Sudesh helped me a lot in passing this class! He was accessible and cared about my success, would recommend!
Professor Sudesh is willing to work hard for you to learn because he cares. He seemed to always be available whenever I needed to schedule appointments with him!
I think he'd be a great Engineering Physics professor, not so much for a class of mostly pilots and some safety majors. He definitely cares and does try to encourage not to fret about your grade too much, but in my class at least he spent too much time on the derivations of the equations rather than actual problem solving.
One of the best professor I found at ERAU, his SI session is wonderful ! 100% take it.
Amazing professor and his lecture, very detail and well prepared. I would take any physics class with him because his explanation is so easy to understand. Very dedicated !
Very knowledgeable professor, I attended his SI session and I loved the way he explains. His questions and answers are very clear and easy to understand. Loved it, going to continue in next semester.
Dr Sudesh is very passionate teacher. He loves teaching and helping students. Be on top of the course, don't procrastinate, study and more importantly ask if you don't understand something. He is happy to meet you before or after the class. Lucky to have professor who worked in NASA and Indian Space Program. Red comments didn't seem right to me.
Well I think I speak for most students (Pilots) when I say "oof". The class was challenging and difficult for me and many others however the professor gave us a lot of extra credit and chances to make up for poor grades. As long as you show up, put in the effort, and do all extra credit opportunities you should be able to come out on top and pass.
Great professor! physics is a difficult class but he breaks down the entire book problem by problem, and explains in everything in detail. students should be honored to be taught by a professor who has real experience in working with nasa and other aerospace programs. you must be willing to put in the time, and he will help! Great Professor!
He cares about his students and wants everyone to understand the material. He is very willing to help his students and is very friendly and approachable. If you need to take PS103 or PS104, I highly recommend Dr. Sudesh.
Awesome professor!! Just take his class then you will know you made the best decision. He makes class fun and engaging. Assigns quite a bit of homework and reading, so if you are willing to put in the effort you can easily pass.
Great teacher and has very very easy quiz!!
Very inspiring and teaches super well! Highest recommendation to Dr Sudesh
I am glad professor Sudesh is teaching PS250 again. I love his classes and enjoy the way he explains the material.
His lectures can get a little boring but that's just the nature of the material, great with people asking questions and offering help during office hours. Very good about helping to review tests and even give partial credit if he misses something. Keep u with homework and take any extra credit he offers, it will really help!!!
Dr. Sudesh gives partial credit on multiple choice questions, which is RARE. He goes over the topics relatively quick but in a way that it is easily understandable. He gives you the tools you need to pass with an easy A you just have to put in the usual work this course requires but overall Dr. Sudesh is a gem. TAKE HIM!
The Worst Prof of ERAU. This guy is beyond bad and you need to do everything in your power to avoid him. He solves Problems Wrong on the board. I hope he grade the test correctly.
HANDS DOWN One of the best professors at ERAU. You can ask to see him outside class and hes really available. Great sense of what students need - Ill remember him as one of the few profs who was genuinely invested in my future!
Gem professor. Lectures are great if you pay attention. Really caring, extra credit really helps too
Dr Sudesh is the best professor at ERAU. His warm up questions are very useful. He is always available before and after the class. Take advantage of office hours. He explains subjects in a very relaxed and detailed way. I will recommend him one hundred percentage.
Dr Sudesh is very patient in explaining the physics matter. i took class first time and he was amazing compared to my earlier professors for PS 150 and PS160. His warm questions in the beginning of each class helped keep me on track. Ask questions as he always says there is nothing as dumb questions. He has high standards so be ready to work.
This is the hardest course I have ever taken. I struggled a lot. Physics is not my cup of tea but Dr Sudesh's office hours, warm-up questions and SI sessions kept me on track. I passed with a C but I give him a lot of credit for his support and his believe in my ability. If I have to do any physics course again, I will definitely take him.
Dr Sudesh is the best. This was a repeat for me so I was worried. Physics is not easy subject for me. Dr Sudesh always patiently took his time to go through step by step on each problems. That helped me understand the steps of problem solving. i strongly encourage my fellow students not to delay. Talk to him: he is very accessible. Best professor!
Physics is easy for me so I enjoyed his classes and lectures. He mentioned to me once that he worked for NASA as a physicist. His real life experience of industry and technology was very encouraging to me. I dont know any prof at ERAU with that background. Thank you for hiring a professor with industry background. I learnt a lot from him.
Very inspirational professor, awesome lectures, loved the class :)
He is the best professor, real gem, have taken his class second time....I would recommend all of my students to join his class.
Dr Sudesh is a great instructor. PS 160 is pre-engineering course, so be ready to read and work. Dr Sudesh provides all the tools for you to succeed. Make sure you actively participate in the daily warm up time problem solving activities. In my view he is the best.
Ngl this is class where you have to work hard but also you learn alot. You get what you put in. A few friends and me regularly went to Dr Sudeshs OHs and appreciated how willing he was to help us and how invested he was in our success. Probably wont be majoring in physics lol, but the experience was 10/10.
I wouldn't recommend this professor to anyone. His blackboard is non-existent. His expectations were not clear. The exam was pushed forward a whole month and gave us no clear instruction to do it. I couldn't understand the way he lectured along with his scribbling on the board.
No Comments This itself is a big comment.
Dr. Sudeshs lectures are very clear and to the point. He is always available outside of class to help students excel in his class! Definitely would take him again!!
Don't question him or he will spend 20 minutes putting you down in front of the whole class. Assigns 15-30 problems of homework almost every class and only grades five of those problems. Lectures can be hard to understand and doesn't grade tests consistently. However, does provide textbook and rounds final grade up to 2.1% up. Wouldn't recommend.
Do yourself a favor and like he says, "run for happy hour" if you see his name on your schedule and DO NOT TAKE him. He is old schooled and a tough grader, tons of homework and overall not a very good teacher. The only thing going for him and what kept me going was his funny and non serious attitude. I taught myself everything. Avoid him
Pretty tough grader and tough overall. If you can take another professor, I would. Very tough tests and will argue with you in class. kinda have to do it his way
He is bad at teaching... just writes examples on the board
Take him, you wont regret it. Most dedicated professor for your success.
Wow, loved his class, very informative and productive and dedicated, all my friends are so happy to attend his class.
Dr Sudesh is an awesome professor, would take his class again if needed. His SI session is so helpful if you want to succeed in your career. He is so knowledgeable and energetic. Very clear grading criteria.
Awesome lectures. Lucky to have professor like him who worked in NASA. Very talented and knowledgeable. I loved his lecture, the best professor in Embry Riddle.
I loved his SI session he started. This helped me a lot and he is available any time outside class. Very smart professor.
Expect to work for your grade. Its an upper level class so some prior physics/math experience is assumed so the whole class doesnt slow down. Very rewarding class if you wanna learn
Easy A! Take his class fo shoooooo yall
his commitment to his student's learning is out of this world... he should teach a class on how to be a caring professor who will really put in the effort to bring the best out of you. i was initially unsure of his style, but by the end of his class i'm sold. Sent from my iPhone
not an easy a but the most ive learned in any class ive taken at erau
Awesome!!
Easy class, prof teaches well and I learned a lot. Take it.
Pay attention and it'll a straightforward class!
This is a fantastic course taught by Dr Sudesh. His lectures and notes are easy to read and understand, and he has a very genuine, charismatic sense of humor. I was always engaged during his lectures, and as a result I felt that I was very prepared for his (very fair) exams. Do yourself a favor and take PS160! A fav class/memory at ERAU :)
Dr Sudesh is real gem. If you donot understand see him. He will go through each problems, step by step. Unfortunately, at times you have to wait a bit longer due to a long wait time, particularly just before the tests. So be regular in study and wait until last min. His syllabus is well written.
This class is a must take if you want to actually learn the material being taught in class. Dr. Sudesh has amazing lectures and will plow through each one in just enough detail so that you can wholly understand what is being taught. If you dont get it in class, just stop by office hours. He is always ready to help!
The most I've enjoyed any embry riddle class, a must take for science/math majors.
Amazing lectures, always comes to lecture prepared to teach the topic at hand, and tops it off with a nice sense of humor! His OH are also enormously helpful for your success - take advantage of the time he sets aside to help however he can.
PS250 is general ed course for future engineers. Dr Sudesh makes sure that we get ready for more difficult courses in engineering. Attend all classes even though he says that attendance is not mandatory. Donot hesitate to ask questions. He loves discussions. His philosophy is no question is a bad question. He is patient and very systematic.
SI sessions are the best. you have to go if you wanna do well, and they're awesome for actually learning too
Awesome prof, caring, kind, super helpful. I highly rec him!
He explains everything so well!! Lectures are so easy to understand. And the best thing is that he is always available after class to clarify information! Take him!!!!
Wow, I loved Dr Sudesh class. He is so dedicated and inspirational for all of us. He is so knowledgeable and brilliant. Very lucky to have professor like him, heard that he worked in NASA. Very impressive. Take his class.
Dr Sudesh makes physics learning fun. His class demo and selective YouTube videos on concept demonstrations helped me visualize the concept. His step by step problem solving was helpful too. I wish all professors were like him dedicated to the success of his students.
awesome professor, would highly recommend him!
Great professor who respects his students. Always readily available outside of class or via email if he can't set aside office hours. Learned a lot from his class. Would highly recommend
Pretty easy class, but still learned a lot! Sudesh is very caring and knows exactly what he's talking about. After all, he did work in some really cool jobs before teaching... take his class to find out ;D
Great learning experience!
Dr Sudesh is very patient. Within class time limit he very patiently replies your queris. He wants you to succeed and he is there to help you. He expects you to earn your grade and hence he always encourages you to work and practice hard. His warm questions are well written and summarizes what you learned in the previous lecture. Best instructor.
One of the best professors I've ever had. Hands down. Really great lectures (the best I've had at ERAU for sure), the most fair homework and exams, really the best that ERAU Physics Dept has to offer. When you're told you have 4 years to make the best of your opportunities, Dr Sudesh is definitely one of them!!!
Not a good prof. Avoid if you can.
Very interactive and supportive. Wants you to succeed. Very patient. Best professor.
Amazing lectures and demonstrations. Take him.
awesome prof, you have to take the class!!!
A professor you would do well to form a relationship with, and keep him on your side for mentoring throughout college and beyond. A real gem!!
Amazinggggg professor - hes the best physics teacher ever!!!
Dr Sudesh is a wonderful professor who always strives to make sure you succeed. Attentive, caring, accessible outside office hours, and gives extra credit so that when you first start his class and if you don't do well, you can bounce back. That's what I did, and Dr Sudesh made it all possible!!
best class at embry, take it...
Worest Experience, avoid him if you like yourself.
Really awesome, best professor I've had!!
Hes sooooo funny and really helps with learning!
He is a brilliant man, but he can't teach. You will be teaching yourself from the textbook. Don't expect him to be of any assistance during office hours either. Accent makes his lectures useless. Take a different professor if you want to pass the class.
He's a great professor, both brilliant and amazing at teaching!! Truly a godsend for us physics majors
Manageable workload and really useful problem sets and office hours! One of the most straightforward classes ever
One word Horrible. Cannot even understand him comes not prepared and talks too fast
Loved his class, super good and knowledgeable
Avoid him if you want to learn anything
This professor is brilliant, know the subject very well, very well prepared. His lecture is amazing. If you want to achieve something in you career, I would recommend you attend his class. He is the best professor in Embry Riddle. Heard he worked in NASA. So fortunate to have him as a my professor.
Very fortunate to have this professor, very calm and cool, very detailed, enjoyed his lecture. I am going to continue his class. If possible I will take his class again in next term.
Fabulous lecture. Learned a lot in Dr. Sudesh class. Will recommend you all.
Take him if you want to learn physics! Absolutely amazing.
I learned more from Dr Sudesh in a day than I did from my professors in an entire semester. Its obvious Dr Sudesh knows what hes doing!!
Always always always prepared for class, never feel like theres a wasted moment in lecture or office hours.
Great chance to learn and succeed, would highly recommend
The tags say it all: respected by his colleagues, amazing lectures, and incredibly inspirational. A real gem of a professor.
Avoid him. Always look for some mistake in your work and very rude.
What a nice sweet caring professor!! He deserves so much more recognition for the time and effort he puts into his class and the future of his students. Highly highly recommend!
Amazing professor, very inspirational and dedicated. I am going to continue his class.
Physics is tough but he was very patient with me. He helped me solve a couple of problems in his office hours and that increased my confidence in problem solving. An excellent teacher. Love him.
I learned physics and so much more about life and whatnot from this guy, would recommend to everyone
Horrible experience. I did not learn anything in this class from instructor.
I loved the way Dr Sudesh made this difficult course not boring. We had a lot of fun yet learnt the subject. A plus instructor
Dr Sudesh cares for his students. He wants you to succeed. This is high level physics and needs to show independent learning. A great facilitator and motivator. I wish I took early physics courses with him. I totally recommend.
Oh, I loved Dr Sudesh class. He is cool, so much fun and makes the class engaged. This subject was so boring for me. After attending his lecture, it became so much easier. I will recommend every one. From my prospective, no professor can beat him.
I made the best decision to join his class. Very inspirational and informative. He is so detailed and excellent way to explain the material. Hillarious professor.
The worest experience. I feel it was useless to me in his class. HWs are not graded in time. Inconsistant grading and very rude professor. I will not like to take any other course with him.
patient, approachable, systematic and smart. These are some ofthe traits professor sudesh has when it comes to teaching. Undoubtedly, one of the best in the physics department.
I feel like to have Dr Sudesh as my instructor for PS250. How many of us get a chance to be guided by former NASA scientist? pretty slim, isn't it? He brought several real life examples to class and made the class very interesting, rather just plug and play of numbers in formulas. Very polite and fair.
Hilarious professor, very cool and brilliant, former NASA scientist. His lecture was so in depth and detailed. Makes the subject easier to understand, eith lots of example. Loved it !
Fabulous class ! Loved the way he teaches. After so long I found a really good professor. It's very important to have a professor who understand student expectations. Very informative and calm.
Very impressive, take it
Very organized, dedicated, and invested in students' success!
Amazing experience!! Anyone who says he cant teach hasnt attended his classes consistently and paid full attention. Hell make you work for your own success and see your own amazing abilities!
Horrible teacher donot know physics, not very polite. Avoid him
Tough class for sure... but I learned so much more than every before. Thanks Dr. Sudesh!
Such a gentleman, I never felt afraid to ask questions cuz I thought he was gonna laugh at me or think I was stupid. Gave me the self confidence boost I really needed
Dr Sudesh is super smart and intelligent. Cared about the students. The below rating does not make any sense to me. He is very cool professor I attended his class.
Super cool professor, loved his class, learned a lot.
He makes physics come to life, its incredible
This class was fantastic. It was definitely my favorite class this semester. The course matter was interesting and Vikas was a very good professor. He was entertaining and engaged and he always communicated things in a clear way. If he did go through things too fast for some people, he would always go back and make sure to clarify. Loved it
The instructor was funny, knowledgeable, and willing to help students. The class material was splendid and made the class enjoyable overall. The exams were well made and portioned appropriately. I would strongly recommend this instructor to any other student.
Great office hours and supplemental instruction. Patient and helpful. A must take for all newcomers. very caring for your success.
What a great professor! I learned so much in this class which many professors have tried teaching before, but the way Dr. Sudesh teaches is so clear and concise, which makes grasping concepts so easy. He is ALWAYS available in office hours and goes above his pay grade to help his students in any way that he can.
Always really clear explanations, the 3 hours I spent trying to understand a topic he taught me in 10 min!
Dr. Vikas cannot teach in English. He doesn't give examples that are on the test and the homework is completely different from what were actually supposed to learn.
Dr. Vikas is a brilliant man, but he can't teach. You will be teaching yourself from the textbook. Don't expect him to be of any assistance during office hours either. Accent makes his lectures useless. Take a different professor if you want to pass the class.
I feel he is unfair in grading and do not understand that we are studnets we are here to learn. Some time he is impolite. Avoid him if you can
Sudesh is AMAZING. Homework is really helpful, and tests are based on homework. Everything lines up perfectly so I knew exactly what to study. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!
I would not have been able to pass this class if it wasn't for Dr. Sudesh. In general, physics is such a hard subject, but this prof makes it so easy to understand! His explanations and drawings are what got me through this course. The best part was that he was able to meet whenever after class to help me work through problems. Pls take him!!
Test review and sample tests were very usefule. Dr Vikas went through the whole test 1 material in the recitation. easy to moderate test1
Amazing, funny prof that makes learning so much more memorable
Amazing professor with a very manageable workload. Put in effort, and I guarantee you'll learn a lot!!
The best classes are both easy and where you learn a lot. This one does both the best!
Avoid him at any cost. He gets irritated when u ask him basic questions like vector analysis or things u should know from your previous physics classes. He calls out ur name in front of the whole class by pointing ur mistakes. He isn't patient with his students who struggle in physics nor does he help in office hours. Do not take if u value ur GPA.
Not a good expericnce. Cannot understand his speaking style. Also he is a little impolite with students. Use powerpoint and I donot think I understand much from that. Will not take the class again with him.
Great experience, hes really nice to literally everyone. Easy to learn and great mentor!
Best professor at embry riddle. Take him if you can.
Avoid him he donot know teaching. Homework and class work does not match and ask different things in exams.
Dr Sudesh helped me a lot during my tough time when I was almost going to drop of physics. He was very inspirational for me. I got A after working so hard. I am glad and fortunate that I got very good grade. He was very easily accessible after hours as well. Awesome Dr Sudesh.
Best physics professor at embry. A motivator and caring. Knows the subject and how to deliver. Very organized and systematic in teaching.
This is the hardest course I ever done and probably the hardest physics course so far. But class atmosphere was awsome. Sudesh expected us to work very hard and he also worked very hard with us. Encouraged discussions and brain-storming. Learned a lot and earned the best grade.
One of my friends recommended this guy, and one of the best decisions I have made at this school is enrolling in his class. Super funny and easy to connect with. Totally worth taking his class to learn and have a fun time
Amazing lectures, he's so caring with literally everyone he works with. Highly recommend!
I really don't like physics based on past experience, so going in I was dreading it. But Sudesh made me actually like it a little bit! His charisma and passion for the subject was contagious and his office hours were super helpful. I'd recommend whether you like or hate physics!
easy A, learned a lot, didn't know sudesh that well but he seemed genuine, friendly, invested in how his students did... basically all the traits a good professor should have
Definetely a not an easy class, but the professor has lots of office hours and makes it obvious how to study and pass exams and the class. I'd still recommend even though it's hard
Love this man!! His teaching is great and I had such a great experience learning from him.
Very organized and patient professor. He is always there to help you. At times he is to patient and takes whole lot of time explaining simple math in details. A wonderful, caring teacher. I wish I had a teacher like him in my high school.
Physics has always been my weak point in school, but with this prof I actually understood many of the concepts I wasn't able to before. He explained everything so well and always answered my questions. Great teacher
The usual difficulty, but the professor is excellent. Highly recommend
awesome professor, reasonable difficult course. i'd recommend, especially for physics majors
Difficult class for sure, lots of reading and homework but it's worth it and Sudesh is the best
Hardest class I have ever taken. First C ever in college. Grading scale not very clear. Everyone in the class struggled. Lectures not precise. Never knew what to expect as far as test questions. The hardest multiple choice questions ever. Thankfully, he gives extra credit. If not given extra credit, I would have failed my first class ever.
I have struggled to pass this test in another class. I was so frustrated then one of my class mate recommended to join Dr Sudesh class. I found so easy to understand. He made the subject so clear. Loved his method the way he is explaining and teaching. He works with you and make sure you understand the material. He is super.
Fantastic professor and not too hard a class. Highly recommend
Had a class with sudesh back in 2015 he may have changed since. Compared to The professor I had for PS103 which I did very well in but this was very different. No curve, min explanation to the equations and how to solve them (I was not a engineering major). The extra credit and tutor I paid for was what helped me pass.
Dr Sudesh teaches very well. His lectures are very methodical and step by step. Beautiful handwriting. Feedback on his HW is clear and instructive. Great instructor!
The usual difficulty, but what makes the class awesome if Dr Sudesh. Really really engaged and wants you to succeed in everything you do. He helps you shoot for the stars and actually reach them!
Hard class, but can't learn without struggle right? This class is exactly that... you get pushed to do your best and then you realize how far you've come.
Hands down the best professor at ERAU. Period.
Easy awesum class, highly recomend
the best prof i've ever had at erau and beyond, can't emphasize enougy
A great motivator. I am going to utilize my time to review my PS150 during the Thanksgiving break. Your step-by-step problem solving is helping me a lot.
one word horrible. thats alll
Excellent teacher. Always ready to help you. Extended office hours and SI sessions to review materials taught in the week. Will recommend who wants to learn and have fun while learning physics.
Dr Sudesh is very patient with his students. He will never get irritated even if you ask same questions several times. He will try to understand hole in your misunderstanding and start explaining from that point forward. Best instructor. I wish other STEM teachers were like that.
Excellent professor. always ready to help. Will provide all the assistance to succeed in teh course. Strongly recommend. A plus
The best professor at ERAU. I have taken courses from so many professors at ERAU in the last 4 years. None of them were so dedicated to thhe success of students. Very organized and well written syllabus. He missed his lunch with his colleagues, several times for me.
Dr. Sudesh is incredibly smart and honestly one of the smartest professors you can take for PS150. He teaches you where the equations come from which is incredibly useful if you forget an equation. He loves having fun in class and invites a more laid back atmosphere. If you pay attention and put in the work you will have no problem in his class.
Very straightforward with an awesome professor. You learn alot but also lots of time to study for other classes and go what you want! Go for it
horrible teacher
Dr Sudesh is the best professor. Unfortunately I had to withdraw due to my personal reasons I liked his teaching style and humours in class. I am taking with him again in the Spring, '20 and hoping to receive an A. Keep up the good job Dr Sudesh.
I took PS113 with Dr Sudesh. It was tough. Physics is not my cup of tea, but he made it simple enough for me to understand and earn a decent letter grade. I wish he was teaching PS117 too. He substituted for PS117 lectures for my roommie and she suggested me to take his class. But I cant because he is not teaching PS117 in the Spring. Best teacher
Best professor in physics department. Take him if you get an opportunity, you wont regret it.
Bad class avoid this
Simply the best. He makes class fun. My first semester at Embry and it was very nice.
A rather strange teaching style outside of the classic physics lecture, but he is definitely funny. Expect to have a good time with his class, but his teaching style is more of a practice practice practice concept. Don't expect much room on homework for errors and don't expect an easy A.
Dr Vikas is definitely one of the best. Attend classes regularly and pay attention to his lectures and class work. He provides all the materials you need to do well in the course.
Dr Sudesh is very patient and enjoys helping. He has a lot of experience in teaching and in industry. He relates his experience from industry to book-knowledge. Enjoyed him while learned a lot. Will definitely take him if opportunity arises.
Dr Sudesh is the best teacher in the department. Very polite and patient. His SI sessions were very helpful in reinforcing what we learned in class that week. Formula derivation made us understand teh formulas better and hence it was easier to remember. He is always available in office hours, before & after class and via email. Best instructor
It is an advanced level physics course and Dr Sudesh taught very well. He is patient and understands learning new concepts, for some students, can be difficult. His patience helped us and encouraged us to ask questions, in the class and out of the class.
I liked Dr Sudesh's teaching style. He breaks down each concept in small parts. His problem solving is excellent. He tries to make little fun here and there to lighten up the mood, which is great. Love him.
Avoid him if you can or you like to learn some things. Not a good teacher.
I took PS160 with DR Sudesh and i m going to take ps250 with him. his patience in explaining difficult physics is amazing. he is the best professor in pysics department.
Sudesh is a great professor. I actually had him for PS150, and although I didn't necessarily grasp all concepts (bc idk, physics just didn't click for me), he was very helpful and wanted to explain EACH and every thing during his office hours. He's a funny professor (if you're a sucker for dad jokes). His quizzes are easy, just review them before.
Professor Sudesh is one of the best physics professors at ERAU. He truly cares about his students and will surely help you out after you finish his class if you need him. He is always in his office to help students. This is a difficult class to take your first semester but if you take it seriously, he will set you up for success in the AE program.
Do not know how to teach rude and impolite. Avoid him if you can or you want to learn any thing
The usual 10 questions per chapter as expected. He has a weekly quiz that helps him understand where you're at and for you to understand as well (he posts solutions to them beforehand). Overall a wonderful professor!
Due to Corona suddenly we needed to from F2F to Online classes. Dr Sudesh adopted very well. He had a lot of office hours including on Saturday as some of us Had to work on Weekdays. I received C because I could not spend as much time in my studying due to work I had to do M to F. Great professor, excellent experience. Will take him again if needed
Dr Sudesh will be there when you need it. Due to Corona crisis, everything was in a mess, however due to Dr Sudesh extra hours, including his office hours on Saturday kept me on track. Very caring and helpful. I got a B due to his help and didnt make it an A due to Corona. Best professor at Embry.
He is not an engineering professor. RMP should consider that why is his account here. Anyways he is below average professor. Knows a little bearly can do Physics-3. We need better professors.
Dr Sudesh is a great professor. His class videos are very helpful. In the split module, his tons of office hours online is very helpful. Best professor
We just got out test 1 out. The test was very reasonable. Dr Sudesh gives partial credit on work. His lecture videos and hand written notes and very useful in keeping me on the track. I expect to receive an A or high B in the course. I highly recommend him.
ONE OF THE WORST PROFESSORS, EXPLANATIONS ARE WORST, NOTHING IS RELATED TO MY FEILD. BUT I HAVE TO TAKE PHYSICS. I AM DOING OKAY IN CLASS, BECAUSE I PAY $40/HR TUTOR TO TEACH ME.
Dr Sudesh is the best teacher. In the Covid time he is trying his best to keep the class engaged. All his class lectures are recorded and available online. He has tons of office hours. The other day he spent almost two hours with me going through almost the whole chapter with me. Very patient and knowledgeable.
Dr Sudesh is a wonderful professor: very helpful and patient. I am auditing the course because I am unable to cope with the split lectures. My fault as I should have been reading Dr Sudesh's hand-written notes more regularly and come to class more prepared. Watch the videos regularly, read his notes and do the class work regularly, you will be ok.
Best professor. Very patient. Watch his lecture videos, see him in office hours. You need to put in your hours and effort. HIs module has all the material you need to succeed in the course. Some extra credit opportunity too. Will highly recommend.
Simply the best. Dr Sudesh cares about your success. In the unconventional time, he is very patient with students. Read his lecture notes and watch his lecture videos. Do all his CW and HW problems, getting an A is almost guaranteed. You need to work to earn an A in his class, but he always there (on zoom) when you need them.
He is so not nice to everyone and he doesnt know how to teach also dont believe the glowing reviews because he writes them herself....
Simply the best. Heaps of office hours. HIs class notes and lecture videos helped me succeed in his class. I will definitely recommend him for any physics class.
Dr Sudesh is very patient and polite, actually too polite as an instructor. His lecture notes and class lecture videos were so helpful in doing well for me. He had regular office hours on MS Teams and Zoom. No problem for me. Received B due to my reasons and no fault of Dr Sudesh. Will definitely take him again if opportunity rises.
too demanding very little help
HORRIBLE disorganized mean incompetent ARROGANT he makes me wanna switch majors!!!!
I took PS150 with Dr Sudesh last year and my experience was great. His hand-written lecture notes and CW problems were very helpful. I am looking forward to take PS250 with him in the spring, 2021.
He thinks every professor in the department is DUMB except him. TOO MANY excuses for being late and last-minute cancelation of office hours. Do not recommend him at all.
Amazing professor of Embry Riddle !! He is always available whenever you need. Watch his lecture videos, see him in office hours. You need to put in your hours and effort. HIs module has all the material you need to succeed in the course. Highly recommended.
The best teacher of physical science department, take his course if you want to understand and succeed in Physics and engineering. Love Him and his lecture. Will definitely take him again if opportunity rises.
He is my favorite professor in Physics class. He is the only professor who could teach most difficult topics really well and that was easy to understand. He is great and very confident in the subject. Love his teaching style. Looking forward to take another class of Physics with him.
Dr. Sudesh is one of the best professors in Embry Riddle, always willing to help. He is super intelligent and has lot of experience in teaching, I heard he worked in NASA. No wonder he is incredibly smart. Love his lecture.
Excellent professor. always ready to help. Will provide all the assistance to succeed in the course. Strongly recommend. A plus
The professor was very rude and tardy and not accessible. Additionally the way he graded us changed in the middle of the semester like all of a sudden some assigments were worth more then he said in the beginning
This professor changed how he graded us all the time without telling us and he was super harsh and never helpful.
A+ professor in all areas. Once you start his classes, then only you will know his talent and dedication. You will enjoy and learn a lot. Amazing lectures....
Simply the best professor. Tons of office hours. His class notes and lecture videos are very helpful to succeed in his class. I will definitely recommend him for any physics class.
Overall a wonderful professor! He has a weekly quiz that helps him understand where you're at and for you to understand as well (he posts solutions to them beforehand). He treats every student individually based on needs and helps them accordingly which is awesome and I like it. Not all student have the same capability to learn. Will recommend all
Dr Sudesh is always enthusiastic on what he teaches and willing to help you in his office hours. He cares about his students success. Tests are fine but u need to practice his video and class work materials, home work to do well. Loved his class :)
Exceptional professor! He is always available whenever you need including weekends and is always willing to go out of his way to help you succeed, very caring.
Wow, so many reviews for Dr. Vikas. Hes not an awful person, hes a great teacher who really cares for his students. I enjoyed his class and there are worse options for physics.
Tests random specific things that are extraneous to the material. Assumes you can read his mind about what to expect.
if you can avoid his, do it! I wish I took this class at a different school or waited for another teacher to teach this.
Dr Sudesh is the best professor in physics. PS150 is difficult but his availability, including Saturdays and off hours, is making it bearable.
Wow !! amazing professor. His lecture is awesome and test is so reasonable. Dr Sudesh is one of the best physics professors at ERAU. He truly cares about his students and will surely help you out after you finish his class if you need him. He is always in his office to help students.
I took PS150 with DR Sudesh and i m going to take ps250 with him. He was not feeling well but he still maintained his lectures and tests very well as he is very dedicated towards his students. his patience in explaining difficult physics is amazing. he is the best professor in pysics department.
thank goodness they replaced him in the middle of the semester. The new professor is much clearer and it's easier to understand him.
omg omg omg i took this class last semester and it was atrocious! the material was sooo difficult to understand and the professor was NEVER there to help. Do yourself a favor and take this course elsewhere or switch out of aerospace engineering because he teaches so many of our courses
this prof is petty
He does not hold much office hrs and skip them. He is too excited and start speaking fast. Does not know much physics and teach sometimes wrong. He need more experience.
He can be more polite with his students then he is. His lectures are boring. Avoid him if you can since he does not answer questions.
He did not help much but course was easy. Just read book and you will be fine. Avoid if you can though
I never rate, but in this situation I had to. Sudesh is actually awful, don't expect to actually learn in his class. I'm going to now spend the summer teaching myself things this summer that I should have learned by attending every lecture. Stay away
AWFUL! I know nothing and he thinks he's an amazing human. But he actually sucks. On top of being an awful Professor he expects you to know everything and his exams are beyond difficult most of the stuff he hasn't even taught
AWFUL! Teaches nothing, leaving the class you won't know a thing Not to mention his assignments are way too hard and unreasonable and he is really terrible at lectures. He kind of just reads a powerpoint and thats it. Pretty useless class, but you have to go for the in class assignments. Hes also obsessed with himself
Going to lecture is pretty much useless, the only reason to go is for the in class assignments because they are part of your grade. I learned nothing His passion is organic and the class totally ignores other aspects of phys Class sucks.
I think it may be a cultural thing, but he yells a lot! His accent is very thick. I did online phys with him and he wrote out the notes. Handwriting was horrible. The only good things were the practice problems. I honestly can say I learned nothing in this class. He would confuse us at times. So many formulas. He gets mad when you don't understand
Horrible attitude! In the syllabus it talks about respect he gives none. Yells at students tells them to wake up. Never encouraged us to meet with after class. Hard to understand, likes to argue and his handwriting is horrible. Whenever people would try to take notes and ask what he wrote he would get upset.
Amazing professor. He is very confident whatever he teaches. Very dedicated and hard working. Would take his class again
Loved dr sudesh class of physics. He is amazing professor. Very smart and intelligent, knows the subject and how to teach very well, very experienced. Will recommend other students
I liked Dr Sudesh's teaching style. His problem solving is excellent. He tries to make the class fun and lighten up the mood, which is great. Love him. Very impressive
Dr sudesh's class is simply as amazing !!!!!!!
Best professor. Patient, helpful supporter.
Dr Sudesh is very patient. His notes and CW problem sheet is helpful. Look at the solution sheet after practicing a and trying yourself first. I ll recommend him for ps250.
He does not explain his class examples and has bad handwriting. He ridicules you if you don't know what he considers "basic algebra" or if you make a mistake and don't understand immediately why it is wrong. Also has a decently thick accent so sometimes it's hard to understand.
YAhoooo. I made a B, first ever in all three physics courses I took at Embry. Dr Sudesh accessibility outside class, his care and several hours with me helped me move from a C to a clear B. Thank you for your time and dedication and trusting in me. Great feeling!
Dr Sudesh is the best professor in Physics department. His class work problems were very useful in doing well in MEs and exams. He explained the concept and problem solving very well. Highly recommend him.
Simply the best professor. Donot postpone your study till the end. Study regularly, ask questions. Proactivity helps.
Dr Sudesh lectures are very easy. He solves 2-3 problems in depth, pausing several times in between to think and ask questions. Pay attention in class. I just missed A, but it could have been an A if I was paying attention from the beginning of the semester. I am looking forward take higher level physics with him. Best and most patient professor.
Heaps of students hours and also availability on weekends. Good feedback. Class work problem sheets were useful. Excellent professor. A+++
He is a very good professor and extremely nice and accessible. The class is definitely a lot of work with multiple quizzes a week and at least 15 homework questions a week but as long as you do well on these the class is easy to pass.
Simply the best. His step by step problem solving and in class demo were very useful in doing well for me. Strongly recommend him.
Best experience. Very patient, a lot of office hours. Start working from first week. Ask questions, donot fall behind. Definitely recommend him.
Very caring and helpful prof, he wants you to succeed and will spend time after class to do that. His lectures can be a bit confusing at first but physics is also a harder class imo and even though its overwhelming at times, the prof will help you through it and offers an extra day to come in and ask for help as well as having office hours.
Professor Sudesh is probably the best professor I've ever taken. Very funny, very approachable and has a very good way of making you visualize concepts. His office hours are also VERY HELPFUL. 10/10
This class took a lot of work and was difficult. However, Sudesh allows TWO attempts on the tests and will give points back on test from your work. He responds to emails quick and is always available for office hours.
Sudesh gives you clear learning outcomes for the class. He is very available during office hours, including weekends. The material is somewhat challenging, but he will help you understand it 1 on 1 if you are struggling. As long as you put the effort in and take notes you will have no issues. Outstanding professor.
Honestly, I just think his teaching style was not for me. He's hard to follow and understand if you're a person who likes to be taught face-to-face and know the 'why' behind the math or concept. But, other people had success with him, so I don't think he's 'bad', per se.
Office hours are not always guaranteed, sometimes he's not there at the scheduled times. The professor is all over the place during his lessons and can be hard to follow at times.
The "Test Heavy" is really more "Quiz Heavy". He gives module exams for each chapter, and honestly, THOSE are what carry your grade. If your mod exams are 80's or better, you could honestly be okay getting a 0 on an exam & still pass. Since theres so many mod exams, they affect your grade more than the actual exams! Super nice guy and very helpful!
Dont skip class at all and write down all the formulas. Class is easy and he is great and understanding. Dont leave the module exams until the last minute plus you can retake them 3 times as well.
Honestly one of the worst professors, he will spend 3/4 of the time on a "warm up problem" which is a waste of time. He also runs out of time and then trys to hold you after the class ends to squeeze it all in
His tests are right from the homework. study the homework perfectly and you will get an A. There are many ways to get the correct answer for certain physic problems. find the way that is easiest for you and if his taught method doesnt make sense , dont listen to it. If I can get an A in this class you can. JUST MEMORIZE THE HOMEWORK.
Awesome professor.
Good for the most part, but I had to mostly teach myself. Most of class time was lecture on concepts, then classwork problems (nothing like HW), and would cram everything in at the end of class and keep us for an extra 5 minutes. He is very caring and his office hours were very helpful, but I learned the most through SI sessions.
Lectures were detailed and understandable; willing to help you on anything whether it is on a quiz, homework, exam, or a topic; and is caring and patient. Physics is a tough class itself, however, doing all of his worksheets and quizzes gives you enough practice to understand the concepts and, ultimately, get a good grade.
Terrible Professor. Does not understand how to teach. Do not take this course if you need to learn Physics.
A great professor to take physics from! The physics courses/module systems at Riddle are tough to say the least. Half the grade comprises of weekly module exams from a chapter and tests are 30%. Test are directly from the MEs. It honestly has little to do with how smart a student is. It just requires diligence to stay on track with the workload.
I took Professor Sudesh and thought he was alright for PS 150 but PS 250 he is not that great. He talked about basic stuff for the chapter but tended to rush through important material because we were behind. Also doesn't offer to help as much when hw is not done (lots of it and its easy to get behind and prof doesn't respect that)
The midterm exams are exactly the same as the practice tests. That is the only reason I got an A. Sudesh is not the best for students who have never taken physics before. He assumes you have a base knowledge, which got extremely confusing at some points because I had never taken a physics class before.
You are expected to be on top of all your MEs and class work. Do not postpone your work. Print and read his posted lecture notes. I found them very useful. Class lectures can be very fast at times. Overall, I found Dr Sudesh funny and very helpful. He is always there in office during office hours so use his help if you need. I recommend him.
This is the worst professor for PS 250. DO NOT TAKE HIM. Trust me, he will only make your life harder as he is difficult to understand and expects his students to dedicate all of their time to this class. He even had ME's due saturdays, including the break and mandatory SI unlike any professor. He also had pop quizzes designed to be like mini MEs.
You must study and be on top of your homework/ME's or it will be very hard to catch up. Expect to re-learn if you already know physics because they are teaching you as if know nothing except math. Mr. Sudesh can be strict, but if you are respecting his time and effort in teaching then he will give respect back.
Dr. Sudesh wouldn't use classtime wisely. We would spend time on problems we have already done and he made office hours and SI MANDATORY for 10% of your grade. He also didn't show up to his last office hours causing students to miss out on the opportunity to raise their grade before the final, in addition to not responding to emails afterwards.
He ridicules you if you don't know what he considers "basic algebra" or if you make a mistake and don't understand immediately why it is wrong. Also has a decently thick accent so sometimes it's hard to understand.
Dr. Sudesh is a very good professor, if you go to class. If you don't - good luck. His lectures are engaging and he does a good job of preparing you for exams, but also just in general, hes good at explaining concepts. Looking back, he definitely did well in explaining the concepts in a way that stuck. Would highly recommend.
Very unforgiving when grading. No extra credit. Classes are unengaging and hard to apply to exam topics as the exam questions are case by case. Weekly quizzes are nowhere near the difficulty of the exams. Often asks the question of the "best" example of said definition which is a scam in itself. Proves how the wrong professor can ruin your grades.
Dr. Sudesh was not great for this class. He is caring, but seemed confused on optics. He used different conventions than the textbook, then referenced textbook examples for how to solve problems. If he gives you the option for a final project- BEWARE! You will end up having to take the final if he doesn't like the project, and I promise he won't!
Sudesh overcomplicates everything by diving way too far into theory and his lectures are all over the place. He made his lectures too confusing and never went over any examples. He was very disrespectful towards his students and humiliated them for asking questions.
Very confused on the board making mistakes all the time and he is very confused even when you talk to him. I learned the material by visiting Dr. Barhane's office and scored A. Avoid if you can but I guess you cannot :(
Pretty good physics professor, not a terribly hard grader, the tests are mostly pulled from the MEs. Explains things well, lectures are mostly on the whiteboard and he can sometimes be hard to hear. Definitely recommend Sudesh, just sit in the front half of the class.
Over all not a good experience. He get stuck in your own lectures. Does not prepare his lectures. Waste time in class and then to make class happy write easy exam with modules question which he announce before. No body complain but a good student learning get compromise. Avoid if you can.
Dr. Sudesh was overall a very nice guy, but the way he explained things didn't always make sense. There were many times when the quizzes we would get back would have a different grading system than the one before it due to the inconsistency in grading from Sudesh and the two TA's. The TA's and Sudesh were also teaching in different ways.
Dr. Sudesh gets confused during lectures and confuse the audience. Just cannot do right hand rule. Then in exam ask questions from modules and those were announced before the exam in class or during his office hrs to make students happy. Little learning good grades. I am a good student straight A. Sorry I am sad from his instructions. No learning.
Not a good class. Professor explained things wrong and then a student corrected him multiple times. Tell us exam questions a head so that was nice. A little impatient.
Very poor and bad experience in all possible ways.
The professor can be a bit disorganized at times, but if you stay engaged and use resources like the textbook and unstuckstudy ai, you can definitely succeed in this class. The exams are mostly straightforward if you keep up with the work.
Also took PS250. Tough class and feedback was minimal and unhelpful. Though he was passionate and wanted the students to learn and understand, the teaching style was sometimes difficult to comprehend. Exams are difficult and feedback on them is hard to understand unless you go to office hours, and sometimes he is difficult to catch there.
Barely understandable, confused the hell out of me and others who had already learned the material beforehand. Did not try a single bit to make lectures engaging and had to reteach myself the majority of the curriculum after taking him to be able to do well in the classes after this.
Doesn't teach.
Sudesh is a very nice person, but teaching should not be his job. Lectures are mandatory, however the content in them makes little to no sense and your better off studying the material by yourself. The problem with this is the textbook sucks so good luck finding good resources. What is expected of you on exams is also never clear. I'd Avoid
One word the worst I had in college.
Strong accent. In person quizzes for some reason. Other profs give online quizzes with unlimited attempts. Avoid.
EP320 is a senior level engineering physics course so it is expectedly a hard and demanding course. Unfortunately several of my classmates are not ready. Dr Sudesh is methodical. His handwritten class notes and lecture notes are very helpful. He solves several problems in class. His handwriting is beautiful. I received a B and I am happy for that.
This is my second semester of physics. I really worked hard to get a B in physics I whereas in physics II I am likely to get an A. Main reason of me doing well in physics II is his class-notes and step-by-step problem solving. Very patient. You benefit most from his class if you come to the class prepared. I will definitely recommend him.
Do not take
Helpful, caring, knowledgeable and funny. Come prepared to class and you are going to get a good grade.
Dr Sudesh is an excellent professor.
Dr Sudesh has handwritten notes for each chapter, which helped me to keep me sane. PS 250 has huge amount of materials to cover in one semester so be ready to read his notes and make your notes. Very organized and accessible outside class.
Dr. Sudesh is a very nice professor and very obviously cares about his students. However, his lectures were difficult to follow and often overly complicated. I learned more outside of class going over the homework than trying to follow what he did in class. Overall a pretty easy class with a good PS113 basis.
I took Dr Sudesh PS 150 in the Fall a couple of years ago. Had heard good things about his lectures and availability outside the class. I enjoyed his class. I found it reasonably easy and got an A. Later took PS160 as well as PS250 with him.
Very funny but serious professor. Be ready to work. Easy grading. Highly recommended. Will take again.
Dr. Sudesh is very friendly and accessible. Here are some tips to do well in the course. Do not fall behind in the classes: start seeing him from the first week. Practice as much as possible MEs. Solve his CW sheet problems. Earning an A should be manageable.
