Strict grading, extremely nitpicky, and assignments are demanding. Discussions are more like one page per chapter reflection and you have to reply to 4+ people. Instructions are very vague. You should do bookwork and review questions. His powerpoints are not sufficient enough to learn the material. Pros: funny, gives free food, drops 1 test & lab

His assignments are unrealistic. You have to give a page and a half response to a discussion and it is worth 4 points. Videos on YouTube are from 2019 and his syllabus had due dates in August and it was a Winter class. He repost stuff without updating any of the information. Easy money for him. I would not recommend him to any of my friends. :(

He's a strict grader and test heavy. The occasional write up Labs are usually consist of several specific photos and page and a half description of the lab. Pretty simple just very particular. He's very helpful and provides resourceful youtube vids and VERY necessary lectures.

Very difficult tests!! The tests are way more complex than they should be for a 101 course. They seem more suited for an advanced engineering course, than a sophomore level physics class. You aren't even given enough time to complete the exams, and you aren't prepared because the lecture examples are completely different from the test problems.

He is a super tough grader in discussions and labs. I took this class for the summer and it's practically all self-taught. There are no pre-recorded lectures so you are on your own for learning the material. He seems approachable but his grading is tough.

I have never seen a worse teacher in my life. He gives you assignments and when you complete them and get one thing wrong he gives you an F or zero on it. He doesn't let you resubmit and is setting you up to fail his class. Please do not take him, he is horrible.

By far the hardest and most stressful class ever. Tests are nothing like the textbook but instead his study guides. Will take points off over little mistakes. Discussions are worth 4 miserable points and basically a page long with 4 replies to classmates. He picks discussions apart and the likelihood of getting full credit is slim.

I studied electricity & magnetism under prof. Kiledjian @ ELAC. I transferred into Cal Poly Pomona, and had to take an equivalent course based on Calculus III. I passed with an A+ because all of the tests were exactly like prof. K's. I left CPP as valedictorian in EE, and now work in Boeing Satellite Systems. Prof K is the best!!!

Kiledjian's class is challenging but worthwhile. Grading is strict, and assignments can be demanding. However, he is engaging and provides extra credit. unstuck study was a helpful study tool alongside the textbook.

Only take his class if you are already familiar with the topic. He does not give back any feedback. He is a tough grader (not for his labs, the work is easy, it's a guaranteed A). His tests are 10 questions and 15 minutes long. They're not easy even after watching the lectures. I would say astronomy would be very easy but he makes it very hard.
