She is extremely helpful. Any time I have asked her a question, she explains it and gives me pointers. Offline homework + online homework & quizzes are 10%, 1st exam is worth 15%, 2nd & 3rd exams are worth 20%, final is worth 30% of your grade. She has review sessions before every every exam, make sure you remember the formulas she says to remember

She is very smart. Provides good notes & solves problems step by step. Post everything online. She does have an accent but I think it doesn't matter. And it is a math class, you should do some exercises and try to remember the fomulas.

She does have a thick accent, but if you take it seriously and pay close attention, there's no reason you shouldn't pass with high marks. Don't be afraid to ask questions or ask her to repeat things. Very glad I had her as my professor. However, she doesn't wear deodorant, so be careful if you call her over to check your work.

Dr. Savatorova is a great teacher and always makes herself available to help students. Unfortunately, her tests are significantly easier than the final, so make sure to go through the math department's final review worksheet as you go through the course and review it again prior to the final exam if you want to do well.

Dr. Viktoria is a great math teacher. I struggle in math and she made the class very enjoyable. Test are pretty similar her notes and test prep sessions. Don't need the book if you print out her notes and go to the prep sessions before the test you will do fine. Also try to get Jason as the graduate assistant for Friday class he is the best.

BEST PROFESSOR. I took Marcozzi and got a D. I had to retake the class. She was very helpful with studying for tests. If you do her study guides, you know exactly what is on the tests. She also does a separate class to study for tests. They are outlined like test. Really hard to fail the class. I'm not good at math, but she made it so simple.

Compared to other math teachers I've had in the past, Professor Savatorova's class was better than I expected it to be. She does have a heavy Russian accent so prepare yourself. I had to retake math 124 not because I did not understand the material but because Prof. Marcozzi is a piece of work. She explains the material 100x better and genuinely cares. She does have a heavy accent like others have said but I found that after a couple of classes I could understand her with no issues. Her tests directly reflect the material.

This class wasn't too bad. She has a thick accent which gets confusing at times and there are a lot of times where she gets herself confused too. Overall, she's a kind person and really prepares you for her exams, mainly her practice exams the lecture before the exams and the optional online homework. They're basically a replica of the exam.

I have taken math 124 four times! I didn't find out about Ms. Savatarova until this semester & I have an A in this class. Do all the homework, be present for quizzes, & DO THE OFFLINE HOMEWORKS. The offline homework are extra credit towards your test & it's EXACTLY like each exam, except the numbers are different. This teacher seriously saved me.

She is one of the best math teachers on campus. She wants you to pass and tries her best to prepare you for the departmental final. She gives extra credit for her tests and the homework is easy. Getting the most points possible while in her class is essential in 127 because the average final exam score is an F.

Savatorova is the best professor to take for math 127. Her accent takes time to get used to, but she is brilliant and really wants her students to succeed. She gives practice exams that look just like the actual exams, and weekly quizzes, but in the end you come to appreciate them. She also gives practice problems for the final that really help.

Professor Savatorova really is a great teacher. She will help you out a lot, and explains things really well. I would highly suggest this professor for this class, if it wasn't for her I wouldn't have gotten the grade I did. A lot of quizzes and homework, but if you do well on them you'll be good. This is a hard class that will require a good amount of studying on your part. She gives you the necessary tools to get an A, but you have to work for it. She is awesome. Best math teacher I have had at UNLV. She provides clear notes and even puts updated lecture notes online. She provides practice tests as well as an extra study session prior to the tests. She also provides an example test for the department final which is a good prep for the final. The class requires memorization and practice.

Okay math is not my strong suit, and this professor has a heavy accent. I was nervous at first, but the accent, was a non issue for me. Not only did Dr. Savatorova make this class easier, got an A-, but she was surprisingly FUNNY! She is definitely one of the best instructors I've ever had. Great Professor! I took her in the summer, I didn't know what to expect because I was never good in math but she definietly helped me understand. Dr. Savatorova was pretty funny, and she made math enjoyable. A lot of people say her accent is hard to understand, but I found it very easy to understand her lectures and her explanations. She is very approachable and friendly. I would just say that it's a little scary when she puts up fellow classmates' work on the projector to teach with.

Her ultimate goal is make sure her students succeed and get the grade they want. Dr. Savatorova is hands down the BEST math teacher I've taken! Lectures can get confusing at times, but overall they were clear and informative. Currently taking math 132 with Aleksei Talonov (who's awful) and I'm reminiscing how great this teacher was. Always made sure students understood the material and made an honest effort to ensure you were learning and passing. I am not very good at math so the class wasn't easy but, she was more than fair.

Just do all your assignments and you're good to go. You get two options for grading in the class, one where homework is required and one where it is not. I suggest you still do the homework either way as that's the best way you'll learn. It's almost impossible to fail this class!! She's amazing at what she does.

Took her for Calc I and II. EXTREMELY nice woman. Language barrier prevents some understanding but her notes make up for it: math is the only language on her papers. Makes quizzes and tests easy by handing out nearly identical practice versions. Very caring and understanding. Doesn't enforce attendance and cracks jokes at those who don't attend.

Viktoria has an engaging way of teaching which can keep the attention of even the most impatient of students (myself included). She can keep difficult subject matter and in class demonstrations astonishingly compact and simple to follow while still imparting vast amounts of knowledge and understanding. I took Math 124 twice previously before Dr. Viktoria and the teachers were not very good at teaching Math. She gives practice tests that are exactly like the in class tests and uses those for extra credit. I can't emphasize enough how great she is!!!!!

I took Professor Savatorova 2 years back and she honestly the greatest professor for both 124 and 127 and 181 if she continues teaching it. Her lectures are crisp clear even though she has an accent that you'll get used to. Her study guides reflect the exam so if you know what you're doing and can do the study guide with no problem you will pass.

She sets her students up to succeed in her class, providing in class lecture notes, supplementary videos, and test reviews. Accent takes adjustment. Legitimately cares that we are learning. Syllabus is explicit, and she follows it. Personally holds study sessions before midterms instead of sending GA. Tends to say things like 'you should have learned this in high school', which is discouraging for those who want to ask questions or haven't been in school for a while

Dr. Savatorova was an excellent math teacher. She makes Calc 1 very very simple. She makes tests and quiz exact same as study guides with different numbers meaning if you study the bare minimum like me you can get an A. She is also surprisingly hilarious! She is helpful outside of class and holds group studies the night before tests. Amazing A+++++

They say if a person really understands something, they would be able to explain it simply. So this professor must be an absolute genius in this topic. I never thought I'd pass calculus but she goes over examples and answers questions and gives practice quizzes and midterms that are just like the real thing. She is really great at teaching.

This is the best teacher in any subject I have ever had. She gives you everything you could possibly need and gives so much of her time, you just have to practice with all extra credit and webassign. Her lectures are great. I hadn't taken a math class in ten years and this was my second attempt, all you need is a good teacher and you can do it.

I retook this class because I first took Emi Ikeda and could not succeed with Professor Ikeda's teaching style and set-up. Dr. Savatorova is a true gem and she is so caring. She wants you to pass with a good grade and she provides you with all the tools you need to succeed. All you need to do is put in the work that she asks of you.

Real gem at UNLV. Goes over material very well. Notes are amazing. Grade is weighted mostly on exams (4) so have to do good on all of those, although she goes over the study guide beforehand so if you don't get a decent grade then you are to blame. Different material than 251, graph theory and combinatorics, etc. which I found easier to grasp.

Second semester having her. Her notes and lectures are the reason I understand math so well. If you really practice you could get an A, gives opportunities for extra credit.

She will "show you the test three times" with offline homework (turn in for 3 extra points on top of test grade), math review session, and in-class review. Had Savatorova the past year now (351 prev.) and sad I won't see her again as I have now completed my math req's :(. Amazing professor, the most organized and caring prof I have come across at UNLV. Weekly HW, some quizzes and MATLAB projects so no walk in the park, but she isn't out to fail anyone. As long you put in effort it will pay off! GEM!!

THE BEST MATH PROFESSOR AT UNLV, PERIOD. She will do everything humanly possible for you to succeed, and all you have to do is put in your part. She gives reviews before every test, that clearly reflects what's on the test. She will make sure you understand the concepts before moving on and do several examples of difficult questions.

I usually never write reviews, but this professor is a GEM. You will need to work for your grade, but not excessively so. She is fair, kind, and will HELP you if you SEEK it. I failed 124 with Bornholdt the first time, took her over the summer by chance. Ending with an A and confidence back I lost from my first failure.

I loved having her as my instructor. she's such a friendly and approachable person and was always willing to work with us to clarify any difficult concepts. she would even host late night review sessions before tests.
