I have just one word to say "No".

YOU CANT UNDERSTAND HER LANGUAGE AT ALL. HER CLASS IS BORING BUT IF YOU READ THE BOOK AT HOME YOU WILL GET GOOD GRADES.

She is very hard to understand and does not explain herself. She will not take time to answer ones question. Waste of time and money, would not recommend!

HATE HER! OMG NEVER DISLIKED ANYONE AS I DO HER. It has been a year since I last took her class and I still get light-headed and grossed-out when I hear her meaningless name. This "lady" actually called my home and told my husband to tell me to stop complaining to her superior. ????What??? She is totally kucoo! Oh and her kids are so loud too. ????

Don't expect to learn anything in her class. She is not patient and does not try to explain lectures. But if you want an easy "A" take her class. Have good attendance she gives you exactly what will be on her test. Don't disrespect her and you will be fine. She is extremely boring.

I CAN NOT believe that this woman has a job as a professor. She is an imbarrassment to HCC, esp. the BIO dept. Extremely RUDE and INCONSIDERATE, shows up 30-45 min. late (if at all), and gives you ALL of the answers to the multiple choice exams for you to memorize. I learned NOTHING; a complete WASTE of money!

This woman is AWFUL!!! DO NOT TAKE HER. I registered late and thought I got lucky to get her class. WRONG. Half the class dropped! Her tests are impossible, and she is incredibly mean and inconsistent. I've never seen a teacher care so little about students. Even if it is our only option, take it next semester. This professor is not approachable, hates repeating information for clarity, and does not care if her students pass the course.There is an inordinate amount of info. to learn therefore its necessary to read the book, review the powerpoints, and study daily. The course is passable but it was a bad experience.I would not recommend this professor.

Extremely rude. Treats students like children. ("I'll send you outside & mark you absent.") Screams at students asking questions. Doesn't know the material at all. Gets vengeful at students correcting her mistakes. I reported the problems to the Dean, and heard rumors she sent students to say bad things about me, bribing them with good grades.

Hard to understand, did not explain well what she wants from the students. Her attitude was dry, she would try to help students, but it didn't really work. When asking a simple question, there was no yes/no answer, she went too complex.

Several of the students in Mrs. Chopra's Biol 1406 class reported her continuous harassmant to the Dean of Student Services at HCC and were told we should either drop the course or put up with it. They did not offer any sort of investigation as to her behavior, I then requested all the formal complaints be filed with Human Resources and was refused

I was very dissapointed with this teacher. She was not helpful and spoke way to fast. I could not understand the subject at all. All she did was present and she didnt do her job as a teacher. I couldnt learn anything in class, i had to teach my self

Has no desire to help the students. Doesn't have any passion for Biology. She yells constantly, refuses to explain anything or even draw a simple diagram on the board. I am in my mid thirties and so far have been very happy to be back at school working towards my degree, this woman is not what I look for in a business professional.

Hello fellow students I am a biology major who has a lot of passion for this subject. However, this class is making me doubt my decision. She is a horrendous professor with a degree from hell. She will not teach, she is very difficult to understand due to a very thick accent. Plus, students have to correct her on her own lecture. DO NOT TAKE HER!!

This class was a MISTAKE! I beg students not to take her she is an awful teacher, she gives NO extra credit. Our class went from 30 students to 5 !!!!! DONT TAKE HER! Half the class dropped. I literally could not understand anything in class due her accent. I only learn by reading the textbook. I cried when trying to study for her tests. The only way I passed was by going thru Campbell practice tests. Her tests have questions from there. The finals and lab exams were easy. Do every extra credit.

Dr. Chopras class is very tough. The exams include information not taught in class so they are very difficult. Unfortunately most of your grade comes from these exams and things she says are extra credit for the exam end up counting towards your exam. Do not take if you want an easy A.

Her teaching style is the most horrible in HCC that I have come across. Do yourself no good and not enroll in her class. I only enrolled blindly. she made a simple biology lab that is relatively simple so difficult for everyone. I would rate a zero if I could. she reads from the book like a robot.

Do not take her class, her lectures were her just reading off the PowerPoints you might as well not buy the book since everything is on the PowerPoints. I previously gave this professor a good review. I take it all back. Do NOT take her. She has no business teaching in an undergraduate program. She is disrespectful to students and has no teaching skills. I did well because I had an awesome lecture professor.

I'm sorry guys but do yourself a favor: DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. She's a total nightmare to deal with. I took her summer class online, which is BIOL 2120. 2-3 pages essay and exam due everyweek. The exam comes like 20qs with at least 4 qs on each one (in short answer). She'll be given essay that due on the same day it open. She just doesn't gaf!!!

Prof reads off slides verbatim; doesn't teach. No exam reviews. Exams are proctored. 2-3pg essays due weekly. The exams were not a reflection of her ppts. It's tough on a 5 wk sched. I only passed b/c I had prior A&P knowledge. It was very stressful. I only earned my B+ b/c of the 8-10pg extra credit essay. If you're looking for easy, DONT ATTEMPT.

She's nice and more on the reserved/ quiet side. She will help, but when it comes to lecturing she's not very good. Her tests are difficult considering the short demonstrations/ "lectures" she gives. Her lectures consist of her reading straight off the power point.

This is by far the worst professor I've taken at HCC. She has 0 tolerance and even said "I'm not here to teach". Online class consisted of students having presentations every class period and chapter homework. 4 exams plus a final.

I had her for Micro lecture and dropped because she was so rude. Unfortunately, I got her for micro lab this summer. She is basically treating the lab class like a lecture class. She gave us 90 mins to do an exam that had almost all essay questions that asked more that one question. Most of the class didnt finish. She is the devil reincarnated!

Was an online class and Professor has her own rules. Videos must be on, you can not ease yourself, or drink water in class. Blames students even for her own mistakes.

One thing I can say is that this professor is EXTREMELY insensitive. Mic and webcam are mandatory for each class, and a student mentioned in the class chat that she was in the hospital and did not feel comfortable showing herself/the environment. This professor disregarded her concern by saying "this chat is not for sad messages". AVOID HER.

If you see her name pop up as a professor click off as fast as you can. This teacher DOES NOT care about her students. All test questions are open ended questions and you WILL NOT have enough time to finish the exams. She is very rude and just reads from the online book per lecture. DONT TAKE HER!

I am on day 2 of her class. She requires attendance even though she just reads off the slides the entire two hours. No questions allowed during her "teaching" aka reading slide after slide. We have no idea what will be on the exam, she doesn't clarify any of the points. We are treated like we are bothering her even though we are her students.

This professor lacks understanding and is completely rude. She tells students to ask question, but continuously cut them off in the middle of their statement, she is extremely snappy to other students definitely do not recommend.

I'm writing this review during the 1st day of class. This professor is NOT to be played with! If you have a broken camera/laptop or poor lighting in your room, DON'T take her class. I understand we are trying to learn, but she reads from PowerPoints the entire time while in class . She waited till give us our test grade till after we could drop the class , so she can make sure we didn't drop the class . Meanest, loudest professor I've ever had. She told a student shut up and there was a small argument stopping the whole class. She screams so much and just reads PowerPoints. If you leave she screams at you, stops the class and says you have to tell her if you leave before the class. After tests she also has class so test days are class days too.

As others have said, she only recites the lecture. She does not teach, so you will have to find tutoring or study groups outside of the class. Our 1st exam, most of the class failed, even with an 18 point curve. Young adults and matured adults alike. She claims there's nothing wrong with her teaching style, sure...No exempt absences either btw

I'm sitting in her class, regretting every second. It's a waste of my time, money, and energy just for attendance. She doesn't care if we learn, just sits there reading the chapter like a newspaper. She is a stain on the name of teachers. Exams are 60%, fail them and you fail the class. Timed homework, no flexibility worst professor ever.

This professor is extremely strict, grading harshly with no extra credit. Her online testing rules are rigid, a shadow behind you means a zero. If you dispute it, she just directs you to the appeal process. She's inflexible, and her expectations are unrealistic. Avoid her class if you want peace of mind.

The worst professor i've ever had before i took this course her rate was not this low i've noticed the rates have also decreased. The professor has screamed at multiple students during lectures. My peers and i have made many complaints yet hcc has done nothing.The Dean has attended our classes yet has done nothing and the professor has not changed

Do not take her. All she does is show a PowerPoint and talk so monotone basically only reading off the screen. No teaching/ not interactive which makes it very hard to learn anything. She has her own final exam that uses lockdown with camera so you have to take two finals with her not just the departmental. Hw is timed. Just don't take her. Awful.

I don't recommend this class. The instructor times assignments and doesn't give enough time to complete them properly. She reads off PowerPoints in a monotone voice. Lectures are recorded and posted in the evening before the next class and she wants you to already know it. She made the course unnecessarily difficult and a frustrating experience.

I witnessed several loud altercations between her & students who were simply trying to gain clarity.She is the rudest, most unprofessional human I've ever encountered. I reported her to the Biology department chair 2X, they did absolutely nothing. I withdrew, took the class the next semester with someone else and made an A+. DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS.

She never once got on the board and explained anything. The entire class was her reading from the slides that we already had access to. I asked multiple times for additional resources. She got mad if you did not ask questions, and if you did. I highly recommend you find another professor if you want to pass. Very disappointing.

If you managed to receive her as your professor, I am sorry. But please don't fret! Despite her hostility, just read through the Pearson slides on your own time. I recommend completing the Pearson chapter assignments to assist in studying before tests. Remember, don't let her hostility crush your dreams, gifts, and talents! I believe in you!

we had two finals, timed pearson hw and tests when other teachers didn't do that and after youre done the correct answers dont even show YET she still took it off so we cant use it as a review for the finals. very rude, sassy, mean. Was reported multiple times to authorities, Youtube & quizlet gave me that B, NOT HER. don't even consider it at all

Do not recommend her class at all. The class and concept is overall easy but the class was awful. She has very little patience and doesn't even teach she just reads off the powerpoint. She is rude and looks like she doesn't even want to teach never helps her students we never even got reviews before the tests. I regret taking her class so much.

I had a difficult time in this course. Assumptions were made about my integrity without clear evidence, which impacted my grade, and communication during reviews felt dismissive. As an online student, I often felt discouraged and unsupported. If you take this class, document everything and be mindful of how you're perceived during LDB tests.

This Professor gave at least half of the class a 0 on at least one of the exams. She has very strict rules and will not hesitate to hand out zeros for the pettiest reasons. She actually seemed happy when half of the class dropped. She definitely hates teaching. Reading the chapters and prayers got me to a B. If you can, take with another Professor.

She just sit there every morning and read the powerpoint like a dead soulless zombie. Then she have the nerve to expect us to knowingly everything when she ask us. Like at what part do we need to study & no study guide? All she does is tell us read ahead and somehow we magically remembered all of what we read when we got other class to LEARN!!!

She is the worst. If you signed up this class, expect either an F or barely a C if you pass.

She does not even teach. Just reads and gets upset at her students for asking questions. She creates a toxic classroom enviornment.

I'm an 4.0 gpa and A+ student who works very hard, but this class has been unnecessarily difficult. Lectures are entirely reading the textbook word-for-word, no study guide, impossible to know what will be on exams. The online format is poorly managed, constant technical issues, making the course wayyy much harder than it should be.

Had her for online micro lec. I knew the class would be tough due to her ratings but I enrolled anyway. Got a 60 on the first exam and I figured I just needed to study harder. Then a week later she gave me a zero for violating lockdown protocols which I did not do. How I'm gonna cheat and get a 60? Bottom line read the reviews people are not lying.

Very rude and combative. Doesn't seem to like teaching she reads from a power point. She always cancel the day of reviews. First time before the test she let us out early before reviewing. Recently she canceled class before the review. Please run far away from this professor. Save yourself the headache and trouble.

This professer does nothing but sit in her chair and read ther slides verbatim and expects students to know all 400 slides for the exam then will procced to claim you broke the lockdown browser rule just by moving your eyes to read the question. She provides no study guide on the exams, but hey the hws and quiz are due at the end of the semester...

For everyone who is here to see if Chopra is a good professor, ask yourselves: would I go and get surgery by a surgeon with a 1 star rating? Would I eat at a restaurant with a 1 star rating? If your answer was no, do not take her class. I'm sure everyone who took her class ended up with a D because they thought it was a redeemable situation, nah!

PLEASE RUN AWAY FROM THIS PROFESSOR. Unless you're ready to hear her read 300 slides in one hour in a robotic tone and expect you to magically remember everything. Please don't do it. I'm currently taking this same course with another professor and have an A. I would've ended with an F here. PLEASE TAKE SOMEONE ELSE, LITERALLY ANYONE ELSE.

Wort professor I've ever had, she failed me because every time I took the exam on lock down browser "I was cheating". Apparently theres no eye movement whatsoever involved or its cheating, yet we have to read the question which requires eye movement !!! Theres no breathing involved because its consider cheating. DO NOT USE THIS PROFESSOR!!

By god's grace i passed the class, she was the worst professor ive ever had. She would fail people for very minimal rules eg. needed a hand mirror to show your laptop if you used a full-sized mirror it'd be a zero no make ups allowed. Whole class was her speed reading her PowerPoints and got upset when anyone asked any questions.

Extremely difficult, all she does is read the slides with no actual effort to teach any material. Biology should be interactive as possible.

I sincerely believe that my family's prayers are the only reason I got a B in this class. SAVE YOUR GPA DON'T RISK IT BY TAKING THIS CLASS. Exams are 50% of the grade & she will give you a 0 no exceptions for looking to the side/ fidgeting/ not using a mirror of appropriate size. No study guide no answering questions just monotone reading lecture.
