Great teacher.. if you work, I recommend getting a buddy. Class moves extremely fast. You will feel like your sinking, but hang in there! Teacher will help you with anything you need. Just Ask..He is there to make sure you understand the basics of chem. Good Luck..

Great professor! He really wants everyone to succeed! He offers tutoring if you don't understand something. There's a lot of material covered, so if you want to make an A, I'd suggest making extra room in your schedule to study.

I wish Professor Johnson was teaching here again this semester. He made sure everyone understood before moving on. He was very good at wording things in a way that would help us remember all the elements just want to be happy lol. Always work through and understand the review questions. Definitely not a blow off class. Take notes and study.

Professor Johnson is extraordinary. His lectures are great, but you must take good notes and study to pass! I never studied and I managed to make a B. He is tough, but helpful. Labs are decent, but he is always there to help. His lectures are fast, but he will slow down and explain until every student understands. Take him, you won't regret it!

Dr. Johnson is an amazing professor! His lectures are good and easy to understand. He'll give you random quizzes but they're not that difficult. His exams are a bit difficult but if you study you can get an A.

LOVEDDDD HIM. Seriously yall if you have a hard time understanding chemistry you HAVE TO TAKE HIM. He makes you understand the topic so easily. He will clarify and is always there if you don't understand it. Great at emailing you back and fast at grading. I was 3 points from an A so it is possible. One thing is he will not round or give extra.

Dr. Johnson is an awesome professor. He makes a difficult subject easy to understand. But you need to put forth the effort and study everyday if you want to make an A. His lectures are good, study his reviews, and always look over the previous classes information before the upcoming class. He likes to give pop quizzes.

Dr. Johnson was an amazing professor! I was not looking forward to taking Chemistry, but he made the material so easy to understand that I would take him again in a heartbeat! Taking notes during lectures helps a lot, and then just look over them and the review while you're studying and you will succeed!

Great teacher - Tough Subject but Dr Johnson is great at breaking it down. 1-2 online quizzes each week, lab summary each week, pop quizzes in class and assignments plus 4 major tests a final, 11 labs and 1 scientific paper. This is NOT an easy class but if you take notes, study for tests and read the chapters before lectures you can get an A.

Dr. Johnson is a great teacher. Chemistry is a tough subject but he goes above and beyond to ensure you do well in his class even meeting with students on the weekend. As long as you dont miss class and study his reviews you will do fine.

Great teacher of chemistry with through knowledge of what he really teaches. There will be home works for sure especially before the labs. Try not to miss any class and take down notes of his lectures. He's always approachable and is willing to go to any extent to make the concepts he teaches to be clear. Will take him for 1412 too.

He is an amazing Professor. Always there for you to help. If you attend the class, take notes you and read the review before the test you will surely get an A. I got a B because I did not study anything. He is always there to help you. He will make the lectures easy to understand.

Dr. Johnson is probably the best professor I have had so far. He is very good at explaining the material. In many of the other classes I have taken I use youtube videos to get a better understanding of the material. I couldn't find anyone who teaches it better than he does. If he doesn't go over it in class it won't be on the test.

This guy can teach. For me 1412 was much less painful than 1411 just because of the quality of the instructor. He explains things clearly and makes sure you understand before moving on. He's very reasonable and takes a common sense approach to everything.

People, take 1405 first. Dr. Johnson is awesome, but he can't work miracles. A few people don't need it. If you're reading this, you're not one of them. Just take it and stop punishing the professors by dragging their scores down. Great professor, focuses more on understanding concepts than rote memorization. Also very nice.

This professor is a rare gem, my last experience with chemistry was terrible I had to drop out but this professor made me see chemistry in a different light, Simply the best, u will not regret taking him. He is just gifted.

Dr. Johnson is a really good instructor. He knows how to teach chemistry very well and if you have difficulties he breaks it down. He doesn't really give much extra credit and his grading criteria can be a little confusing (he uses averages). Just do the required assignments and study the review questions and mastering chemistry for his exams.

Dr. Johnson was by far the best at lectures. Lab manuel is required but the lecture book is not, instead HIGHLIGHTS of the chapters were given plus note taking from PP's. He does not rush but rather makes sure everyone is up to speed before continuing to next chapter. Quizzes at start of class is new but questions are literally from the highlights!

Take this class if you want to get a foundation in which was never built from prior education. Dr. Johnson broke everything he taught down into the simplest form. Be on time, take good/organized notes, ask questions, do the practice problems he post, actively listen, and be in attendance. This by far is not an easy subject,but he will make it easy

Prof. Johnson is one of the best professors I've taken! He knows exactly what he's talking about. He breaks down the concepts, so everyone can understand. His test are not too hard, but you must study in order to get a good grade on them. Also you can't miss lab because you cannot make up for them. I would recommend taking him you won't regret it!

I took professor Johnson in the summer. I was afraid to take Chemistry in the summer, but he made the experience better than what I expected. If you do the exam reviews and ask for help, you should pass. You do have to study to make an A because chemistry has a lot of information. I would definitely take him again!! He was very approachable.

Awesome professor. Genuinely cares about about his student's interest/understanding of material. I'm far from a math/science person but he made chem 1411 fun & simplified. Do the work, study, AND ask all questions in the world. He doesn't hesitate to explain things.

I have always been awful when it comes to science but Dr. Johnson made this semester amazing. He knows how to describe everything in ways that help you remember and learn. I wish he taught Biology courses so I could take him as my instructor. Seriously you guys! This is the instructor to take for chem! You won't regret it!

Dr. Johnson is a great choice for chemistry. An A is totally attainable if you put in the work and study! It was not as hard as I had thought so I am definitely relieved. Every chemistry problem had a step-by-step guide so there is no way you can fail unless you just don't put in the work and practice. Overall, I had a great sem!

The greatest teacher I've ever had for a science course. Wonderful teacher, lectures make sense and matched all course materials/exams. Great communicator, and makes sure all of his students understand the lectures/labs. If you want to pass his class be ready to actually practice the work outside of class (makes exams way easier) don't wing it.

One of the best teachers to take for Chemistry!! He makes lectures and the subjects covered very easy to understand! An A is very easy to get and maintain if you do all the work and dont lack off. Textbook wasnt needed for this Entro to Chem class, the PowerPoints are really helpful. Wish he would Teach Bio because he is an awesome Proffesor.

Dr. Johnson is the absolute best! When you're in his class, you will be like "I don't deserve this teacher." He doesn't curve test grades, but he does offer extra credit. He gives you a free online textbook, but you will not need it because he covers everything in class. NEVER MISS HIS CLASS! And study for your tests if you want an A.

One of the most passionate professors I have ever ran into! He is always available to help you better understand. He is very funny and caring. With little to no knowledge of chemistry, he made me eager to learn. High recommended. You do have to study and work for it.

if chem isn't your strength trust me this professor will make you actually learn about it. His teaching techniques are wonderful. He is an intelligent professor who cares about his students. Dr. Johnson is very passionate about chemistry & he makes it very easy for his students. He provides highlights over the chapters, as well as, test reviews. I took it in a Maymester. An A is definitely dueable, but you need to pull your weight. Attend every lecture & lab, plus study each day for quizzes & for your test & you'll no doubt make an A!

When going over each chapter in class he will stop and ask if everyone understands before he moves on to the complicated material. He gives lots of examples so pay very close attention. Professor Johnson makes you actually understand Chemistry! If you've had trouble with it before he'll make sure he does everything he can to make you understand it. An A is very possible to get as long as you attend class and study.

Very Caring and approachable professor. He will explain until you undesrtsand. The 8 week class that the scool has put in place is what make it hard for those that are not strong in math . i took my gen. chem class in 8 weeks w/ professor j and it was very hard b/c it was so fast paced. He is willing to help you no matter what especially if he sees your trying but please be aware that you do need to STUDY hard to pass those exams. I def. recommend him.

Very knowledgeable and passionate about chemistry. He is available outside of class and if you are not able to go to campus he is willing to video chat to answer any questions students may have. Indian accent but you can understand him however he does talk very fast. He will provide all the information you need to pass just make sure to study.

Very knowledgeable, excellent explanations, clear grading. You have to work for it. Nothing for free. No playing around, very professional. Eastfield is lucky to have such high level Doctor. If I need more Chem in the future I am sure looking for his full lecture classes.

I actually took Professor Vinu last year, and I couldn't wait anymore to write a review for him because he is such an amazing professor ever seen in Eastfield. If you get the concepts being attentive in class, go through the powerpoints, do all the exam review questions, then you will definitely make an A. He made chemistry less complicated for me.

I have two degrees and Dr. Johnson is the BEST professor that I have ever had in a science course! He was the most helpful and you can tell that he wants you to succeed! It was an okay class. Takes FOREVER grading things. Everything is on multiple powerpoints. Slight accent but NOT at all noticeable really. Take him.

He is a great teacher! Explains so you can understand. Makes sure you are ready for tests by going over the material and giving examples. Only thing I did not like was he cancelled a few labs to review for tests. But most classmates liked that. Gives curve on final. He is very funny and his class was fun and I learned a lot! Zero chance for extra credit. Great professor, but you have to work hard. Chemistry has tough some concepts, so pay attention. I made a B with a 2 week Mayterm course, and was happy with my grade. He explains during his live sessions that he will not hand out an A, and to not beg for it. If you don't like your grade, then drop the class. Try again.

Dr Johnson has clear expectations for work and communicates thoroughly. We had online "office hours" daily where he would answer questions and review material. Work hard and stay on track. Take advantage of opportunities for easy points by turning work in on time. Study hard for tests. Chem isn't easy for me and Dr Johnson was a great professor.

Dr Johnson is the best chemistry professor! Took this class online. He is clear on his expectations and gives assignments and quizzes that can boost your grade. STUDY HARD FOR THE TESTS! Took this class Summer I online. He was new at online teaching and he did a great job! He had recorded lectures and there was daily meetings with class through online. Def rec. taking this professor if you need to know this subject! Need to study hard for tests and take advantage of the easy assignments. I actually learned a lot about Chem Take him

There are three midterm exams, one final exam, participation grade, terminology submission, and easy review assignments that you just have to sign and submit. Also, labs were all online. Reviews are similar to tests, but not exactly the same! Make sure to study hard for the exam. Lock Down Browser required for midterm and final exam.

If your passion is something you lack for this subject, then this professor is for you. He has so much passion for Chemistry and it is contagious. He gives amazing lectures, is great about real world application, and cares greatly about his students grasping difficult concepts and being successful. 100% would recommend this gem of a professor!

I really enjoyed this class. He explains everything well and gives you every chance possible to improve on your grades. You can really tell that he cares about the students and doesn't make you waste time on info that is not relevant. Easy A if you do the required work and work on the problems diligently and listen to his lectures.

Dr. Johnson does care about his students, there are three exams, a comprehensive test and chapter quizzes. Labs are self explanatory and offers recorded lectures on how to do them at home. Daily office hours from 12-1 if students have any questions.

Professor Johnson is one of the best Professor out there. I took his 8weeks class during spring. 3 tests, 1 final, 9 chapter quizzes and 10 labs super easy to do. Chemistry isnt easy but he makes it super easy for you to understand. Always available outside of class. Easy A if you work for it. tells you what to study for test. super caring !!

He is a good teacher

Dr Johnson is a fantastic and engaging teacher. The class is extremely well organized; the information is presented in a clear manner. I really appreciated that he gives such thorough reviews; nothing on the exams will surprise you if you pay attention to the outlines. He also gives grades back promptly and makes himself available for questions.

As I am typing this, I have not completed the course but I have to give Dr. Johnson his props because he is an amazing professor. Chemistry is a challenging subject, but the way he educates is phenomenal. He gives examples on how you can make sense of some tough concepts during lecture and lab is enjoyable most of the time. I am happy I chose him!

He gives you all the criteria needed for his exams. I took the 8 week course and made a A. There are quizes and assignments every week, but its not hard! Honestly just show up to the lectures/labs and take notes and study if needed. Super easy class and the professor is funny. Definitely one of the best in person classes I've taken!

I really enjoyed this class, he makes learning new topics very easy and his lectures are interesting and interactive, I have adhd and can get easily distracted so i appreciated his ability to keep me focused and interested in each topic, i struggle in classes that feel like im listening to an audiobook so im glad that wasn't an issue.

Professor Johnson has the class very well organized. Chemistry was not an easy subject for me but Professor Johnsons recording lectures taught me so much. You do have 3 proctored exams and quizzes that are due almost every week but as long as you look over the lectures and powerpoints you will succedd!

His tests are pretty straight-forward... if you worked the practice problems and did the assignments, you'll be ready for the exams. Be sure to watch the recorded lecture videos.
