He gives multiple attempts on several assignments and likes to communicate with his students. Overall I would highly recommend taking him. If I had another class he taught I would be taking him!

Such a chill, laid back professor. For my Fall 2024 class we did not have any quizzes, assignments, or homework. Just a few discussions & exams (sometimes referred to as quizzes). The idea was to just read and watch the lectures and just take your exam. He provided 5 attempts to pass the exam and a study guide. So there is no need to stress.

Fall 2024 MKTG 3310 04 Principles Of Marketing This class is mainly PowerPoint and highly lectured. The only problem I have is that he speaks very fast and doesn't really interact with the students, like asking questions. I've had the pleasure of taking professor Simon spring 25 semester. He's a pretty solid professor; The majority of his classes were covering the chapter slides in depth and highlighting material that would appear on exams. Typically offers practice exams and multiple attempts as practice for official exam.

Great professor! Most of the grades for this class are from the tests, so if you watch the lectures you should be set.

He wasn't that bad tbh, just be prepare to take notes and understand the theory (vocab). exams go based off of scenerios so know that and other than that you should be good to go !

you dont have a lot of assignments to do but that means you have to get good grades on exams since its just basically off of exam grades. Not too hard just geniuenly read the powerpoint and understand the vocabulary bcs thats what the exams go off of. great prof

I am currently in my senior year, and I can confidently say that Dr. Vinu Simon is the best professor I've ever had. He doesn't assign busy work, provides ample time for quizzes, and allows retakes, taking the highest score from your attempts.

Dr.Simon is an amazing professor he is understanding and cares about his students. The class is straight forward the exams are very easy they are lockdown but you get five attempts to take it and you get practice quizzes aswell. There are very few assignments throughout the semester really only exams. If you can take Dr.Simon Do It! He is great!

Professor Simon is as good as it gets! The lectures are a little time consuming, but also very clear on the information they provide. As long as you watch the videos or read the PowerPoints, and take the practice exams until you're comfortable with the questions, it's a piece of cake with Dr. Simon. And you can take the exams again until you pass.

One of the best professors I have ever had! Staying on top of your deadlines is important, but Dr. Simon was one of the most understanding, caring and informative professors. I would love to have him as a professor for all of my classes.

Teacher created a group me at the beginning of the year in which we can communicate with him and receive a reply within a couple minutes. He is very understanding if you need extra time on something and he might extend it for you. Overall, a great caring professor and would highly recommend to anyone.

Dr. Simon genuinely cares about his students and wants you to succeed. The lectures are lengthy but he provides open and honest discussions about the material, & offers opportunities to grow and expand your knowledge beyond the classroom. Dr. Simon's 4340 class was a great class to take. He lets us know of assignments ahead of time and gives adequate time to study for his exams. Few assignments, but 3 major exams. As long as you read the textbook, take the practice tests, and use his study guide, you will do great.

He also pushes back the exams, if he notices students need more time. He is probably one of my favorite professors I have ever had. I recommend taking one of his classes!

I found this class easy to understand and the lectures simple to follow, yet I was hoping for this class to be a bit more. The PowerPoint slides were very informative, but a bit too overwhelming sometimes with the amount of material on each slide. I was hoping that we would be able to put the material that we learned into practice more often.

He caters his lessons to the students interest and often pulls from real world in his lectures making them more interesting. Recommend joining the groupme as he does a lot of communicating through it.

Questions on the test come straight from his lecture and lecture slides. Attendance isn't necessary, but I'd suggest it, or else there's a lot of catching up to do on lectures. When he says “right?” At the end of his sentence he's not always actually asking the class.

Professor Vinu Simon is probably my favorite professor to date. Through the years in university, I have not had a professor seemingly care about their students the way Professor Simon has. This professor is very easy-going and laid-back in class; I never felt scared to approach him because I knew he would always meet me with a calm and helpful demeanor. One critique I would give is that the class was very lecture-heavy, which made it not super engaging.

This class is fairly easy to pass with a manageable workload. There aren't too many assignments during the semester. There are three tests, and you'll have the opportunity to take a practice quiz before each one.

He is understanding and does his best to work with his students on scheduling exams and making the class less stressful, but his exams are essentially all vocabulary, so you'll want to either read closely the PowerPoints or take note of what he points out in class.

Professor Simon was one of the greatest professors I have taken. He was extremely engaging in class, and tried to relate to the students a lot with jokes and such. He gave plenty of extra credit opportunities including one xtra credit assignment that we could put on our resume! Truly great professor, I would get again. I got an A+

I really liked this professor. The lecture videos were really engaging and not boring. He knows how to teach the material effectively where students can take it and apply it to their real lives. Just watch lectures and take some notes and you'll get an A!

Great professor. Online class but he is easily accessible. He will often send things in the group me that relate to the course which helps give better understanding. Tests are proctored but you get multiple attempts and there are practice tests that come from the same pool of questions. The only other assignments were a handful of discussions.

Dr Vinu is amazing!! He gave a lot of time for quizzes and answered any of my questions immediately! We had about 3 quizzes and 6 assignments plus practice quizzes that don't count towards our grade. This class does require lockdown browser and webcam so think about that if you need to get a webcam. I highly recommend taking him!!

Awesome professor. He cares deeply about his students and will extend assignments and quizes if it is for the wellbeing of his students. He gives SO much time to take tests from when they are posted. The only thing I did not care for about this class is that practically all of your grade comes from exams. As long as you study the slides and reviews you will be just fine!

Dr. Simon was a solid professor. I took his online summer class, and he was always very quick to provide help and feedback. There is a lot of material to study, and I mean a lot, but it is expected in a short summer class. This class was pretty chill you just need to study the quiz he gives you and the assignment question and understand the material with that and you will pass but some of the question are common knowledge and marketing basic knowledge. One the scale 1-10 to take I say 9 because he gives you 5 tries on the quizzes so you have a good chanceee!

I'm currently taking Dr. Simon's marketing class during Summer I, and so far it's been great. He does post a lot of lecture slides and reading material, but the practice exams and assignments have been the helpful for preparing for the exams. He also gives multiple attempts for quizzes & exams. He's very flexible and open to any concerns you have.

Professor Visnu kept in contact through the course group me and would periodically check in to make sure that students were progressing with the material as projected, or if adjustments in deadlines needed to occur. Very fair with grading, the material is all available through blackboard. before enrolling plan to make time to study.

Absolutely love this professor! I had some personal issues come up on the day of the quiz, and the professor extended it for me, along with other assignments, and was very polite. You can get an easy A if you study. Most of the questions from the practice quizzes appear on the graded quizzes. Also, you're offered multiple attempts with the quizzes.
