Professor Simon class structure can sometimes be slightly confusing. However, he is very knowledgeable and an excellent professor. He works well with students and works hard to help students succeed.

This is my second time taking a class with Dr. Simon, and I am not disappointed at all. I had him for MKTG 4120, now I had him for summer class MKTG 4520. Homework is just taking notes over lectures. The exam is written but not hard questions. Overall he is an amazing professor definitely would recommend him to anyone! 10/10

Professor Simon is a great professor! I have taken multiple classes with him and can say that he really cares for the course that he teaches but even more about students. He offers opportunities to correct mistakes and is always accessible outside of the classroom. If you have the opportunity to take his class, I would highly suggest it!

Professor Simon is one of the only professors that UNT has that is more than happy to work with you regardless of the situation. His lectures do very much get to the point and he allows you to view them later on in Canvas for you review. Review the notes because when he says its in the powerpoint its in the powerpoint. love him & kids sweet people.

Professor Simon truly wants everyone to do well in his class. He gives many opportunities for quiz retakes and exam retakes. If you are struggling all you need to do is ask for help.

Though he uses a textbook, it is not required for the course. However, I personally felt the textbook was quite helpful when doing assignments for the class. You can tell he really enjoys teaching and knows exactly what he's talking about. The lectures I don't believe are a requirement, but I would definitely recommend attending in person class.

Professor Vinu doesn't give much homework or assignments but the assignments he gives are crucial to study for the exams. He's very understanding and wants you to learn the material, he's open to meet with you if you need to extra help. If you don't understand something he's willing to over explain concepts if needed. I've had Prof. Simon for a previous (online) class. He is consistent in what he expects but it is never asking too much of a student to perform well on exams or assignments. He will discuss it, but know that AI is absolutely not allowed to any degree in his classroom, so brush up on your writing skills because all assignments and tests are SAQs.

Professor Simon is a very effective teacher. He is smart and funny, and goes out of his way to ensure his students succeed. If you learn best on your own he produces videos for each student to watch that covers the material and more, but I recommend taking his class in person if you can. Overall great class, prof did give some "lengthy" assignments at times but they mirrored the exams, downside all exams were open ended questions but retakes were available and he is very understanding and flexible with deadlines.

Attendance is important he checks attendence on iclicker. He posts the slides in Canvas but going to class will help a lot. He does not make you get the course book but i highly recommand getting it. Professor Simon is a straight-shooter and his class conduct reflects it.

Most of the grades are in the form of open response homework and exams. The class is not hard if you are willing to put in some time.

I took this professor for MKTG 3660 Advertising Management. Overall I enjoyed this course. The assignments can be time consuming but really help with the quizzes. The material given in the lectures is very clear and is cohesive with the assignments and quizzes. You have to work for it but is not that hard to receive an A!

Goes over fundamentals, can seem a bit slow paced at first but he makes sure that everyone fully understands, and will take time for 1-1 if you need. Funny and really cares. The hw load is light, lecture heavy. Hw feedback is really helpful and he lets you do them again for a higher grade. Exam uses same questions from hw.

If you get the chance to take Pr Simon take him!!! His lectures are always really interesting and he does an amazing job with connecting materials to real world examples. While MKTG 3660 definitely comes with a heavy load of content, it is easy to succeed if you stay on top of your work and just listen/communicate with the professor. Professor Simon was constantly working to engage the students in the course's content. He is funny and well-informed, and I 100% recommend him as a professor.

The homework assignments and tests are a bit difficult because they are both open-ended essay questions. The homework is very tedious so you shouldn't do it last minute or all in one day because it will take you hours to complete. However, the professor is very understanding and accommodating. He will give you more time on assignments if you ask.

Exams are free response, lockdown browser, camera and your computer screen is recorded, and 4 hour limit to take. A lot of info is discussed so it's important to study well.

One of the best professors that I have had in my time here. You get what you put into the class; hard work and studying the video lectures will provide you everything you need to pass. The professor was available to communicate nearly all hours of the day, and very knowledgeable about the material. He used great analogies that everybody understood.

Although it has been a more difficult class than I expected, he is very lenient regarding due dates and allows two attempts on homework and exam/quizzes. It's all essay-response, but he gives feedback and it isn't excessively difficult. It does take a while to complete, though.

Very enthusiastic professor. Take this professor if you are interested in Marketing, you will learn a lot. At some points the assignments seemed to be too long and too hard for the TA to grade. About three 15-30 question paragraph answer assignments that range 10+ pages and that for 80 students is a lot for the TA.

Dr. Simon's class has been the most writing heavy class I have taken thus far, I dreaded it at first but my writing is so much better now. You need to put effort into going to class and studying outside of class. He encourages you to redo assignments as many times as needed until you get a 100. The class gets easier as you go don't stress!

Dr. Simon is a great professor. His teaching style is above average. As someone who commutes near 2 hours to campus each semester, he is one of the few professors that I never regret coming to class. I have found the class fairly difficult towards the beginning of the semester, as many of the core concepts are presented all at once. Completing the homework and quizzes at the beginning is also fairly difficult as well. The professor does give plenty of changes to improve your grade so you can prepare for the exams well.

I really liked Professor Vinu; he actually cared if you learned and was very understanding. Dr. Simon is extremely lenient on assignment deadlines and is always looking to give his students enough time to turn in good, quality work. His notes/lecture slides are really helpful, as well as the lecture videos, and the way he explains them is also nice as he uses a lot of real-world examples.

Good Teacher

This class was about as straight-forward as you could get. Show up for lecture, listen, take your notes, and you will be asked to return it for the assignments and tests. The lectures can vary between engaging and a little tedious, but I would easily say the majority were interesting. Complete and review your assignments, and you'll do great.

Other than him giving written answers for exams and essay assignments, he is a really good professor that cares for his students and does really well in helping students learn and understand the material. He also gives AMAZING reviews for the exams so you don't have to worry too much about the exam being written answers.

Professor Simon was the best professor I've had during my two semesters at UNT. He is very flexible with due dates and also very knowledgeable in the subject. He explains the class material well. There are only 7 assignments and 3 quizzes including the final quiz, each quiz is a big part of your grade (20% each, 60% total). quizzes are lockdown.

This class was very informative just not interactive at all

Great professor, very kind and I enjoyed the structure. Long homework assignments, but very few of them. I highly recommend not waiting until the last day of class to do the work like I did! Overall very kind and reached out when I was falling behind.

This course was a 5 week online course, the professor was great and opened up all the material at the beginning so you can work at your own pace. The lectures that he has posted are lengthy but will help when it comes to the exams.

The assignments and coursework for this summer class were great and well-structured. Allowed me to have time to enjoy my summer while also earning credit. Everything was self-explanatory. I enjoyed this class and feel like I learned a lot. The grading is straight-forward, mostly quizzes. There are plenty of extra-credit opportunities.

I took this class as an expedited, online summer course. Very few assignments. Extra credit offered. Professor was very communicative in a class groupme. The quizzes are in lockdown browser but not difficult.

Professor Vinu was easy going and easy to get into contact with if you have any questions! All assignments are simple, straightforward 100 questions. Lockdown browser required for exams. Just read the chapters and you're good to go! I would recommend him to every marketing student

If you keep yourself up to date and aware of the course requirements, you will do well in this course. You also have plenty of opportunities to learn from mistakes by retaking quizzes. There's a lot of information to learn but stay on top of it. There was great open communication in the class as well. You will always know what to expect.

Professor Vinu was one of the most proactive professors I have ever had. He makes himself accessible at all hours of the day. His responses are quick and extremely helpful. He gives students the ability to collectively choose office hours. The assignments and quizzes are long (100 questions) however, he gives all materials needed to ace them!

I would choose this professor again

Dr. Simon was wonderful! He was always available for questions outside of class, and when we had troubles he was dedicated to finding solutions. He uses both textbooks and recorded lectures, at least during the summer course. The lectures were long, around 1-2 hours primarily, but packed full of info.

Professor Simon supplies you with everything you need. While you can get by without the textbook, it is much easier and better to have it to help you have a solid background before going through the lectures. He is very accommodating and has thorough pre-recorded lectures. If you read and watch the lectures you should have no problem passing.10/10!

During the Summer Session Courses I was able to take Professor Simon's MKTG 3660 Course. Professor Simon had a clear set syllabus with all the due dates stated. He provided many resources and answered any questions. I will gladly be taking another one of his courses again!

Dr. Vinu is a very caring professor. If you need any help at all, Dr. Vinu is very accessible and will ensure that you get the help needed. He is one of the only professors that offered a groupme and responded frequently to everyone, as well as took the time to get to know as many students as possible in an online course. I recommend him.

HE IS A AMAZING PROFESSOR and the course content is always really informative. I took him in person during the spring semester and again in the summer. The summer is definitely harder because there is long lectures and long assignments, but he is really understanding and is really nice about giving extensions and he gives lots of extra credit.

The professor was super understanding while taking this course. He provides very informative video lectures and supplemental videos along with the textbook material, and he is very responsive if you have any questions. Overall this class was great!

Super accessible and genuinely cares

This class was easy and time-consuming, but if you're a procrastinator, you must buckle down and complete the assignments. The communication between the professors was apparent, and the professor answered questions very quickly and was there when we needed help.

I would definitely recommend not waiting until the last minute to do assignments in this class if you want to get high grades on quizzes and assignments. The professor was really communicative and responded very quickly to questions and concerns we had which was really appreciated it. Especially since it was a summer course.

Professor Simon is an understanding and engaging instructor. The course requires consistent effort, but with the help of resources like the textbook and unstuckstudy ai, you can stay on top of things. Highly recommended if you're willing to put in the work.

He is very understanding with his students and truly cares about their status in the class.
