I am glad that I took Professor Nikolic for Math 083. She is such an amazing and charismatic professor that will take out extra time from her busy schedule to tutor students that need help. She is very intelligent and her lectures are engaging so I highly recommend taking this professor.
Violeta is an excellent professor. Her lectures are easy to understand. She'll do whatever takes to help you understand the material. (staying after class, extra time in the TLC, etc.). She gives plenty of point opportunities. Best of all, her homework is not too overwhelming. Just the important problems, as opposed to making you do the ENTIRE book
One of the best math professors at COC
Sometimes her lectures weren't that clear but over all, she's an amazing teacher. She always wants the best for her students and is always willing to help. Participation is HUGE. She gives extra credit for it, but if no one is talking, she WILL call on you. Homework is easy if you don't slack off. Tests are easy if you pay attention to the quizzes.
Excellent professor. Will give you MANY attempts at extra credit throughout the semester. Gives lots of partial credit on exams and quizzes. You cannot really fail this class with the way she grades. Do the HW because the exams are based off of it. Participate a lot also!
Violeta is is a wonderful and very intellegent woman who clearly knows her stuff. Even if you don't do the extra credit offered, passing shouldn't be an issue if you do the homework quizzes and try. She clearly cares a lot about whether we know the material and tutors at the TLC lab.
Best math teacher I've had! She makes incredibly useful handouts and is very dedicated to her students. Her lectures are very clear and participation (in our class) was rewarded with extra credit. Tons of extra credit opportunities. Great test reviews. She's also just really, really nice!
Absolutely the best teacher ever
Her lecture notes will teach you everything you need to know about DE just follow along or review them later. Only used the textbook for HW
She was such a nice teacher. I am definitely taking her for Math 140. She has people waitlisted this semester, so i am waiting until next semester. You NEED to pay attention. she is so nice & will help you if you need it, please take it. I passed this class with a 98% because i paid attention & asked questions when needed.
Started off great but then the load of the course over took her and then the entire course was a game of "catch up." Very nice person yet hard to understand.
Violetta is a very sweet and commited teacher. However, she spend a lot of time going over material she will later say we don't need to know for the test. We often ran out of time and had 4 to 8 hours of homework between every class meeting. The grades in my other classes have suffered because I simply haven't had time for anything else.
Pros: Tests are easy Flexible with assignment due dates Offers extra credit Extremely knowledgeable and kind Cons: Tests are on a strict time limit Forces participation from every student, every day Doesn't manage time well Overall I would recommend Kovacev-Nikolic, she makes a very complex subject manageable and easy to pass.
She was such a nice teacher. I respected her so much, the people in my class were very rude and she kept her calm. There was a lot of online homework, but it was doable. There were a few group projects, make sure your partners are serious. SHE WILL HELP YOU IF YOU NEED IT. She really cares about your grade and will really try to help you out.
VERY difficult to understand. For someone that fears math like the plague, this was a huge turn off for me. Used a computer program over the textbook, which was GREAT cost wise, but again, if you're like me and struggle with math, I prefer the textbook to refer back too. Lots of notes get taken for credit AND offers LOTS of extra credit. Sweetheart
This teacher was hard it gave me cancer, but I did it. Her agenda is a little bit of the joke, she changes dates last min. but she dose help you out by offering extra time with her. she gives ALOT of homework. I had to stay up late and no sleep to finish up the homework. to those they take her be aware, you get what you put in.
This professor is underrated here. Her biggest downside is she spends large amounts of time deriving the problem rather doing examples, and she took three weeks to grade a test. However, her study guides are spot on for the tests. She works very hard to give additional study sessions, and provide detailed answer keys to her study guides on canvas.
She is an amazing teacher. She cares a lot about her students. I will defiantly take her class again. Don't hesitate.
She's one the greatest instructor I've ever had, very nice with clear lectures, makes sure you understood everything well. always makes time to explain more after the class . She's amazing, very helpful :)
She is a professor for hard working students, you best be ready to learn and work, you HAVE to participate or else she will call on you which is fine i guess. BUT SHE DOES NOT GIVE YOU FULL CLASS FOR EXAMS she only gives you and hour and 20 minutes. I dont know why but that is the most unfair thing about her class other then that she is very good
Very good professor. Yes, there is a lot of homework but this is all beneficial to exams. She really cares about her students. Always quick to reply to emails and always welling to go over concepts that may not have been clear. She is always in the TLC welling to help. Study guides are very helpful. Extra credit is always offered. All around great!
So far she's ok. First day we got the syllabus and she talked about herself. A heavy accent, but you can always go to TLC to get help. I'm sure there will be group projects, but the homework is lengthy. It will prepare you for exams and she's sweet too! Get help ASAP and start a study group. We did a discussion so make friends and study.
The stats class is not easy but the prof gives handouts and explains stuff in class. So far I am at A because I pay attention in class and do my homework. Some people complain but they are crybabies not used to college. If your third job is preventing you from putting in the work - dont blame others for your performance in class.
I like this class. Its challenging but if you do the work you get the result. If you are immature and not ready, better think twice. Violeta is helpful and will answer questions. It was cool how she handled the situation when we had fire on campus so we did not panic and continued with lectures.
Dont expect to breeze through. Im rusty with my math but we cover all in class and I do homework on time which keeps my scores high. This is my last math class so its worth my time.
So far I'm at a B. Tough class, so make sure you are studying consistently. Do the online test and home works. Get help when needed and go over the packets. She is not easy! Make sure you get a study group going and stay on top of homework. Go to TLC, do anything to help your grade. What I do like is she takes the average of our grade.
Everyone in this class is cool, the discussion boards are really fun because everyone can say their opinion about a topic. People were all getting study groups together etc. Hard class, but I will admit if you study and do the quizzes you can get a B or even an A. If you ask she will answer you. This is just a hard class so put in effort.
Those discussion boards are so fun and lots of student interaction with the class. Met some cool friends. Class consists of difficult quizzes, exams, olli assignments, and statcrunch assignments. It is a tough class and you need to keep up quickly. If you are not good at catching up with tons of work, do not take this class.
There are a couple things I like about her. I like how she takes the average of your quizzes and if your at a 79 she will count it as a B. A little hard to understand, but google anything online and look over websites, videos, etc. Stay on top of olli assign and quizzes. Such a hard class, oh my god! End of semester you will be exhausted.
This is a tough course but Ms. Nikolic is very helpful with materials. She has some accent but otherwise very clear in explanations. My grades are at the top. Be in class from start to end of lecture and do all the homework. What you put in is what you get out.
She is very tough;however, statistics is a very hard subject to learn. Stats is meant for practice practice! You must stay on top of quizzes, olli, understanding information. It's a very stressful course, but hey you need it to transfer! Violeta answered my question about the quiz having mistakes and she's super nice. Get a study group started asap
I am starting to really like Violeta. She is super lenient at times with grades since she rounds it. Answered my emails very genuine and truly cares a student gets the material or not. Very nice to ask questions and always willing to help! It's a hard class, so you will be up at midnight submitting a document or quiz I gurantee you.
Very knowledgeable and truly inspiring. It takes getting use to her large amount of quizzes/exams online because there a lot in one day! This course is difficult and some material is hard, but she provides the necessary tools to understand. Once you get it the material should become quickly. We learned that grit is the main benefactor in any course
She is really helpful and answers all emails super quickly! Her messages are helpful with explaining a specific problem and how to solve it. Lots of online homework, but I'm starting to see it will help on exams. Hard class, but I must say Violeta is stellar in explaining when you ask and I'm starting to understand concepts now!
That first exam is hard I tell you hard. Everyone seemed frustrated and you can hear the ughhhs. Violeta is nice and has good explanations, but you will need to study a lot to pass this course. You got discussions and many online quizzes that should help you. Good luck
Violeta is a very nice woman. She helps you whenever you need help but her lectures are so heavy! if you skip class, shell fail you. The exams aren't hard at all. All you have to do is study.
I have mad respect for this professor. Answered my emails very quickly and helped me with problems I needed clarification on. I asked questions and she has good explanations for how to go about the process. Her test on the other hand are very hard. you need to make sure your studying of those quizzes and knowing how to use statcrunch. Get help asap
Violeta is probably the only professor I had that actually CAREES! She knows we all need this class to transfer/majors and does her best to prepare us for exams. if I was confused with canvas quiz, she would answer me with a detailed solution on how to solve a problem. Pay attention and go to class. One class is like 3 different chapters of formula
Violeta is a great professor. She is forgiving, she's kind and she genuinely cares about her students. However, the class is very very difficult. Lots of quizzes, homework, reading. It feels very rushed & thats what makes it hard. If you are person who loves math, take her. If not, you will stress out. Like her as person, but the class is just hard
I like her, but I feel like she rushes through the material and makes so many things due in a short amount of time. She doesn't really give you that much time to take a quiz. SHe has good explanations and answered all my questions online, but it is a difficult course. Exams can be hard and olli is really confusing. She is caring though.
Oh my god she is incredibly helpful! Statistics is a hard subject, but Violeta is very forgiving and super nice. She coordinates study groups and sometimes postpones exams if people aren't ready. Learn how to use star crunch, ask questions, email her. Let's you use a card to write down notes which is good! She has a great personality, hard class
This professor is so nice! Violeta has such a cute personality and she is very helpful. This class is difficult though and I need it for Business and she has been nothing, but so forgiving. Answered all my questions with clarity and her lectures are very good. Make sure you know how to use stat crunch and study of her w.s. practicing problems.
My last math class the professor really didn't explain, but Violeta actually cares and explains. She genuinely cares if students don't understand and she wants them to get it. She does her best with analogies, study sessions, emailing her, etc. Statistics is hard, but Violeta actually cares and gives solutions that are helpful. I like her!
She's a nice lady, but I don't recommend taking her endless your good at math. Quizzes, hard exams, many worksheets is a big portion of class. Lectures are super heavy, so you wouldn't want to miss. I respect her and she's super kind, but the class itself is hard. You really need to study take another stats professor.
Hooray! I'm at a high B and all I need is an 89 to get a 90 (she rounds up grades) Tbh I don't know how I did it. The last test she gave us test corrections and that helped me. I do the worksheets, olli helps a lot, asking questions, going to TLC etc. if I can actually get an A in math class for first time I'd be so happy! Make sure you study
She's a very nice lady, yes, but this is a difficult course. So many quizzes, oli, exams, hw, etc. During lecture she does clarify, but half the time I have to self teach myself. If you ask her she will def help you, but I wish she prepared more for exams. Is like if she went over study guides. Study everything, know left tail right tail. Hard
Great woman, very sweet and kind. Responds to messages in a second and overall cares for student success. I don't know if I would necessarily recommend her. I was pretty stressed in this course. Good handouts and answers to study guides;helps a lot. Make sure you're studying and you can use a card for exams! Super hard take another proff
Her as a person, I really loved. She emailed me in a second so I wasn't waiting for a response. Her huge load of homework is what made this class "hard." She gave like 5 different quizzes do on each day of the week and sometimes 3 different ones on one day. I learned a lot in her class, and averaged at least C's on exam. So far I'm at B, do oli.
She only gives you half the class time for exams and then she lectures after. I think she should have gave the entire period because many people didn't finish. Uploads 10 different quizzes on one day! I'm at a B and I'm glad the semester is almost over. She's super sweet, so email her and she will help you. Exams are hard, be prepared to study!
Do NOT take this course if your taking your lower division prep major course. Violeta is super nice, but gave a lot of work. I wanted to get my A in a accounting course, but this class was too much studying I had no time! I should have took this in spring, such a hard class. Do all quizzes, study for exams and tests and only take if ur not busy
Violeta is an amazing Professor! She has review sessions before each of the exams outside of class at the TLC on Saturdays; and she is always in the TLC Monday-Thursday to help with any of her students. She cares a lot but expects you to put in as much as you get out. daily self discipline w/ OLI online textbook, videonotes, and handouts.
She's actually a really great professor! I'm glad she gave study sessions before exams and answered my emails. This is a difficult course so it takes a large amount of work. If you are extremely busy with hard courses it might be smart to take this course another semester. You need to be diligent and consistent with oli. She is kind woman.
Treats all her students equally and CARES ALOT for a student's success. She will talk with you one on one if you ask. If you like me, you might get lost during lectures, but if you talk to her during office hours she is very helpful and good with explanations. You need to invest many hours into this course, so if your a super busy student don't tak
Really prepares you for exams. I got a 90 and I cannot thank Violeta enough for helping me through the complex material. This was hard class, but I'm glad I made it and survived. Violeta is super kind and caring and will help you. Study sessions before exams and you can use a card! Make sure to study the worksheets it's on final! Ended up with B
Difficult class, you cannot rely on the reviews for the tests. You have to show up for classes in order to pass. The online "textbook" didn't help and it was more for credit. I wouldn't recommend this.
Amazing professor, I respect this woman so much. Ask questions if you do not understand something, she will explain it.
Awesome professor. If you study regularly you will get a good grade.
Tons of homework but I made it. Would not recommend if your goal is an easy grade.
This was hard, got a B+! I really appreciate her kind emails and explanations for the project, homework, etc. lots of work, but I'm done. She's very kind, but if you think you'll make it out with minimal effort do not take her
Stats gives me PTSD, but Violeta was a good woman. She gave out study sessions before exams(attend them) and answered questions. Lots of quizzes, so my main tip is to stay on top of the homework; they can pile up on a specific day. Let's you use note card and for final a large piece of paper! That helped me, but I needed 94 on final to get an A.
Challenging class but if you can afford the time to put in a decent amount of work you will learn a lot and do well at the end. Nice and caring professor in my opinion.
You will learn a lot! If you were in the same boat with me like taking other hard courses, I don't recommend taking her. I had 2 other online courses and a accounting for my major and that was hard! I was hoping for a easy A, no take Teachout for that. She's kind and is super caring. Study sessions and TLC ppl are nice and explain well. Got 88
Good lectures and additional study sessions. Lots of online material to help you succeed. You can get an A but you must attend lectures and work hard.
I still see old classmates from this course and say hi. Our class was lit because everyone was talking and making friends. I started a study group with amazing people and I ended up with a B. My tip for you is to stay on top of oli; hated that thing. Write detailed notes and write super small on ur card to get EVERYTHING down. Violeta will help
Lots of homework and quizzes, and exams are heavy but everything on them is something you already did in class or homework. If you fall off a little, do not worry as she gives ample extra credit assignments to help boost you up again. Very thorough teacher and to the point. I would definitely retake her for another class.
felt nothing like a cc course tbh. She would be great university professor! Overall she's a super sweet lady and will help you with any questions. We used a program that helped us take the z score, T score, hypothesis, make graphs, etc. Very amazing examples and study sessions!! i got a super high B, but loved her class. Stem majors take her class!
the packets she gave were very complex problems. These problems were tough, but mrs. Nikolic wants to challenge your mind. She gave very good study guides and if you write it all on ur card you should Ace them. Statistics is very useful subject if you want to make a hypothesis or see what ur Confidence interval is, etc. Very memorable class i took
Violeta is truly a wonderful professor. She puts in a ton of effort in organizing her class. There is a ton of hw (online tho) and grades are mostly from exams. In terms of ease, calc is a tough subject but as long as you put in the time, you'll pass. She makes you work for an A though. Overall, she is super nice and I would take her again.
Professor Violeta is by far one of the best professors for any Calculus course. She does an excellent job of maintaining a professional environment in the class and she ensures that you understand the topics at hand. She also gives plenty of opportunities to get help outside of class if you're still confused. This doesn't mean the class is easy...
Violeta is legit the best math professor i've ever had. Her calc2 class is really tough and she can be annoying with participation, but she will do her best to make sure you understand the material. Grades are mostly based off exams, and she's a very picky grader. Put in the work and don't fall behind and you'll do well. She's tough but great
She is a great teacher overall. The class is really difficult but she does online study sessions before the tests and provides a lot of study guides. She tends to run behind and you will wait weeks or longer before she gets around to grading the tests. You will go into the final not knowing where you stand because there are 2 or 3 tests ungraded.
(I took Calc 2 in High school so I knew all the material) Tests are nothing like the work she assigns EC negligible. A test that would be an A or B would be marked down to C or D because she didn't like my work/method. Either mimic her work or get marked down. She's not a bad teacher, but her tests are unfair. Take her if you need to, if not don't.
I took her for geometry and calc 2 and she was wonderful in both classes. her class is not an easy A but if you study you will definitely pass her class with an A. her tests are fair based on the homework, if you can do the homework you can get A on the test, her lectures are really good and helpful and she cares about her students
She is the sweetest professor ever in my life!!!! EASY A because you will get so many extra credit opportunities. She also gives you practice test before the test. super easy but very interesting class. definitely not tough grader.
I write this review a year late, after transferring and taking many classes that require DE. Myself and another who took her routinely came first and second in classes like systems and signal analysis that build on these concepts. She makes it tough but doable; a combo that really gets you ready for 4 year. Wish every prof was like her.
She had about 7 tests throughout the semester but she prepared us really well with heavy study guides and great lectures. I think her class was in between for difficulty because her study guides were really difficult which made the test a cup of tea. She offers lots of extra credit but there's homework for every section. And you have to buy the boo
Great teacher. Math was always my hardest subject. She gives a lot of homework but she gives you as much time as you need to do it. Make sure to go over the class material if you want to do decent in the class. She also gives you some credit on test questions even though you didnt get the final answer correct.
This review was written amid the Covid19 pandemic. Our class transitioned to remote learning like many others. Professor Kovacev in response has exhibited a level of care for her students unparalleled to anything I've ever experienced before. She is extremely knowledgeable, passionate, and caring. She truly is a gem in the math department.
Violeta is a great prof! I took Differential Equations with her, but she did a great job at clearing up all of the confusing parts. The only downside is that she makes you do a bunch of discussion posts. Overall, she is a very knowledgeable, approachable, and caring professor.
She gives "Extra credit" the doesn't count for anything. Hw is all online, but makes you write it out and scan it. Lectures are really boring and she'll decide to start a new lesson 10 mins before class ends (mind you, this is after sitting for 2 hours and 15 mins). Makes you set up a secondary side camera and a lockdown browser for online tests.
DONT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR, AVOID HER AT ALL COST. She is ridiculous and will give you plenty of busy work. If youre looking to spend all your time with no time to spare for another class then take her. She doesnt care for your feedback nor listen to her students. She will pile assignment on you when shes behind on grading. Most frustrating class
Calculus II is a huge amount of work but the professor provides support. Lectures and review are top. She is flexible with deadlines and gives extra credit on assignments and genuinely cares about students.
This class is for people who learned calculus before. You will have to spend at least 10 hours per week but you will get to learn and she also sets up review sessions with TLC. She is a slow and heavy grader but gives good feedback. She is always accessible and answers emails instantly. Awesome prof!
Calculus is extremely difficult but Professor Violeta really wants her students to succeed. She is always nice but do not mistake it with slacking. She will ask you to do a ton of work so if you are a slacker do not take this class.
She is an awesome math professor. This math class takes a lot of work but if you have ambitions to learn then take her.
I am not voting best quality because I hate online classes. It is also difficult but good class even for online. Prof really cares and wants everyone to do well. Some people complain which is because they aren't getting it.
Nice, truly cares that students learn, and not just collect participation points and easy extra credits, but gives you all the resources necessary to succeed. If you, on the other hand, find it strange that she expects you to know stuff from previous math classes you took (a.k.a. prerequisites) then stay away, you are likely not faking it through.
Strongly recommend it. If you aspire to be an engineer like myself, not a single lecture of hers is a waste of time, and solutions she posts make me more knowledgeable. Prof. Violeta always encourage students to better themselves, not only with extra long office hours and very helpful reviews, but also with genuine care for student progress.
This class will consume your entire life. Not worth taking whatsoever unless your prepared to spend every waking moment doing things for this class. I honestly don't understand why her ratings is this good. Her exam setup is an invasion of privacy. Would not recommend at all.
make sure to have an EXTRA laptop to record YOU taking an exam on your OTHER laptop. youll be interrupted during exams bc she WILL talk DURING the exam. she will personally interrupt you during an exam (did it constantly in all exams) she uses ALL lecture time and an added 10/15 min bonus <3
SOOO MUCH HW. You will be drowned with hw assignments in this class that will not count for anything. What really matters are exams, which are insanely difficult. The lectures and exams are distant cousins that do not know each other. The review problems are misleading and so different from the exam problems.
Don't be lazy, and you can get an A. There isn't much homework at all if I'm being honest. Start it early. Her annotated notes are good enough for you to relearn after a lecture while trying to do the homework. There's a lot of extra credit. Probably about 3% overall. Also, drops the lowest exam for the final. Really understanding as well.
I would say her exams are very stressful with the second camera, but you learn to tune out the interruptions eventually. She does give a fair amount of extra credit. A decent grade is obtainable if you're willing to dedicate 25-30 hours a week. She takes a long time to grade exams and other assignments.
I highly do not recommend. It takes her several months just to grade a homework assignment (along with other problems, she's disorganized). Her study guides are not fully reliable for the tests (and she's proud of that). She makes you record yourself taking the tests. She doesn't care about her students, she just wants to look good for her salary.
Where to start... Test and course lectures/homework have nothing to do with each other so basically her lectures are useless. Extremely intrusive test taking procedures not to mention the interruptions during test taking. Written discussions like were in English. Months to grade tests. Spend 30 hours a week mastering reviews only to fail tests.
There are so many extra credit opportunities to improve your grade. The cons are assignments are graded very late, lectures are long and mandatory. She gives so much homework, discussions, and exam reviews. I do not recommend taking her online class because the exams are proctored her own way and she make it extra secure which is very stressful.
Takes forever to grade exams. Her lectures and homework are nothing compared to what the test has. Don't waste your time here, invest your time with another teacher.
Kovacev may be one of the best math teachers I've ever taken at COC. She genuinely cares for her students and gives detailed feedback on exams. Her extra credit is unprecedented as well for a math class, allowing you to be on in the 87-88 range and still end with an A (considering an A is a 89.5). Would definitely take again,
Kovacev is a fantastic teacher who truly cares about her students. Her tests are exactly what you would expect in a high level math and her grading is very generous. Her lectures are truly worthwhile and amazing. Best math teacher I have ever had and the best and kindest professor I've had at COC. If you are willing to learn it is an easy A.
I have taken Professor V for 4 courses and would recommend to use ALL of her resources (exam reviews, review sessions, office hours, etc.). The classes are only hard if you don't study, but if you do, there is no reason not to get an A. She gives good feedback and is helpful if you're stuck, so I would definitely recommend taking her.
Only complaint is that I wish she didn't fall behind in the course since the end of the class was super rushed. She explains well though and makes you participate which I disliked, but it did help my understanding a lot. I enjoy her enthusiasm for teaching. If you really like math I recommend taking her class.
Don't let the complaints sway you if you have half a brain you can get through her class without expending too much effort, she does get overwhelmed with grading, fall behind in lectures sometimes, and she pointed me out for being chatty three times like literally pointed at me, but she is a great teacher. Take her.
I do not recommend this professor at all, she is a very tough grader and forces every student to speak every class. So much homework too and the Professor is not helping at all. If you are not a book-worm, take another professor please.
Do not take this class if you already dislike math. If it's just for the credits, you are better off with another teacher. I feel like she just rushed through all the material, didn't explain the concepts clearly, or didn't provide enough examples for you to practice. Gives extra credit for participating, but if you don't, you need to either way.
She is a good professor. I could understand hard concepts with her. However, there is a lot of homework and she doesn't have good time management skill. Also, she says she gives out extra credit but it barely even contributes 0.3%. She randomly call on students. Just be wary of doing a lot of work. She's also a very specific and late grader.
Professor Violeta is incredible! She is extremely understanding and can be forgiving as long as you talk to her. Her study guides, homework, and lecture material are amazing! Tests are hard, but if you study the material correctly, you will do fine. She accepts late work, but she does take a while to grade, so keep that in mind. Good luck!
prof violeta truly cares about all her students & is always there to help you. her lectures are very clear & simple. exams are very similar to the reviews she provides. there is a lot of ec offered, both in class & on exams. her only con is that she takes a while to grade things, but that's bc she is very careful. def take her if u can!
She is the worst. She will cold call on you. She takes like a month to grade the tests. Make sure to show all your work on tests or she will accuse you of cheating and threaten to make you have a trial with the board. You could get the right answer but if you don't do it her special way you will get accused of cheating and minus many points.
Honestly never understood the whole cold calling thing, she guides you if your lost so it's not the end of the world. PLEASE make sure you show ALL your work on her tests, she awards bonuses for deep understanding and she is a little picky with her grading. Overall great professor who wants her students to succeed. She will push you.
She rushes on lectures, goes on tangents, and grades harshly. She gives you chapter reviews, but they are not like the exams. She does give a lot of extra credit, but it barely helps your grade. She does do a lot of review sessions, but I still struggled to follow her lectures. She will call on you and grade on participation/attendance.
Her lectures can be rushed at times and her grading also takes a long time. I believe if you put in the time to study and attend her review sessions then you should end up with an A. I urge everyone to study in the beginning of the semester. TLC is a good option also study groups. The random name calling isn't bad, and she helps you through it too.
This professor is difficult. You have to really search for outside help to understand the concepts, especially because she goes super fast during lectures. She is a tough grader, and WILL accuse you of cheating if she questions your answers. I used Blacklenredpen methods and she suggested I was cheating. I would take another professor at another CC
I took Professor Violeta last semester. Amazing lecturers and cares about her students. I do have to say she can be quite strict about testing and grading. Very encouraging, understanding, and kind. I would recommend everyone take her.
I found this calc professor extremely harsh. Grading was tough with little partial credit, lectures were unclear, and too much time went to precalc. Heavy homework was graded strictly, constant participation slowed us down, and missing details made the class so discouraging I even changed my major.
Not taking pre-calculus before this class really put me a step back at the beginning. She jumped in right away and didn't really explain her work. If you ask, it might lead to a long tangent about something you weren't asking about, and it tends to hold up class.
I loved being in Professor Kovacev-Nikolic's class. She is always smiling and very friendly with students. Her class was a bit difficult but she is always accessible for office hours will take the time to teach you.
