i took dr.V for history 102 and 112...he is such an awesome teacher..he loves the subject and really cares about his students..take him over any other history teacher..esp. varga!

2 midterms (one multiple choice, the other an essay exam), one term paper (write a biography), one moview review, a final exam (essay exam). Funny guy. lectures really well, which allows students to grasp American history much easier.

He lectures REALLY WELL,which allows students to really understand and grasp US history. So youll learn a lot in his class. Hes also VERY easy. But some ques can be tricky! He jokes around and is also very SILLY at times which makes him hilarious!

Dr. V is so awesome! he's really nice & makes sure everyone understands. All his test are based on his notes and he give positive feedback like "your smart why are you here" type of stuff. he really cares about his students and tell you that you can alway talk to him about ANY problem. 2 tumbs up!!!

I'll admit, I took his class 10 years ago, but the responses below echo how he was then. He's been doing this for a while and knows students well. He wants to help students succeed, and has excellent 1-on-1 communication. A blast to listen to. Good for history majors, better for non-majors.

Dr. V is a great teacher and one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. He's a storyteller who happens to teach history, and even though he's been doing this for a while, he makes it seem like each class is hearing the story for the first time. He's one of the best.

Dr. V is the man! He lectures most of the time, but makes it interesting with jokes. Very helpful man, if you do the work there is no reason why you won't pass. Huge Trojans fan.

Dr. V is tight no homework is every given. We had 2 essays and that was it! One was a research paper and the other was a movie review (super easy grader)

Dr V!! He is THE BEST TEACHER at COC. He really cares about the students, lets everyone on the waiting list in class, and always reads drafts of papers. No way to get a bad grade if you come to class and try :) THE BEST! TAKE DR. V!!

Dr. V is the best professor I have ever had. Very clear in what he expects, and makes it easy to learn with his written outlines on the board. He puts a star next to all of the information that is likely to be on the test, making it easy for students to study. 2 papers, 2 50 question tests, 2 essay exam (final is both 50 questions and essay).

By far the best professor I have ever encountered at COC!!! Lectures are made fun with class interaction and it feels more like he's telling a story than teaching. Very easy on tests and essays! Would definately recommend taking Dr V!!!!!! Simply the best!!!!!

This Teacher is Awsome, he explains everything clearly, no homework accept a short movie review and a biography essays, he has one regular scantron test (study your notes), one essay test and the final scantron and essay test

I use to hate history, but after I took his class I love it. Dr. V is the best history teacher ever. He teaches it as if it was an interesting story. If you're gonna take HIST 111 or 112 take it with him.

this guy is awesome. really nice and does a good job at making his lectures interesting. he write ALL the notes on the board so if you fail the test than youre an idiot. easy and nice. highly recommended

He is probably the best teacher I have had at COC by far. His way of teaching makes the class interactive and not at all boring. He assigns only 2 easy projects. Don't miss class because he does cover alot of material. He is a very helpful teacher who can accomodate you if you ever have any trouble. I'm definitely taking 112 with him.

Dr. V is an excellent teacher! His class is very easy to understand. He doesn't ask about dates but about the event. He makes it very interesting. He does take roll occasionally and if you aren't there and no one vouches for you, he will drop you in the class. So either show up or make a friend. Gives two easy assignments,easy A if you go to class.

These teacher is by far a great teacher. I have never had an interest in history my entire life. After taking 111 with Dr. V i am considering taking 112 just to have is class again. He is straight lecture but is very good at pulling you into his lectures. Highly recommended to anyone who wants to take or needs to take a history class.

Dr. V is the best teacher i've had at COC. He makes you want to learn. This class is not only easy, but you become interested in really learning the facts. Three tests, a movie review, and a biography paper. Pretty basic work. Take him if you want to learn and get an A.

Dr. V is not only a great teacher but he is a really cool guy. He actually cares about his students and how they are doing in his class. If you want an A, simple go to class and write down his notes. The mid-term and final are multiple choice and are straight from in-class notes. I mean I did not even buy the text book.

He is SUPER GREAT teacher that i never had before. It's not hard to understand and is interesting class too. The exam is not hard at all, even though eassy question is easy too. Just study it before and you can earn good grade. Nice teacher.

Virgadamo is BY FAR the best instructor at COC! It's amazing how much he knows about history and I truly learned a lot from him! As long as you take notes and study at least the night before the test you'll do fine. He is a fair grader and he makes his lectures a lot of fun! If you have the chance to take him,don't hesitate he's by far THE BEST!!!

Awsome... so easy. This teacher was interesting and one of the easiest teachers at College of the Canyons. His exams are a breeze! I love teachers like this!

Awesome professor. I recommend him to everyone I know that needs to take History. Going to class is important unless you know someone who copies word for word what is written on the board because all the lecture material is on the test. He gives a study guide for all the tests. Only papers are movie papers. Easy class, great guy, easy A.

I said attendance was mandatory, but its not really,it just really helps to be there. Show up for every class, take notes, laugh at his jokes and you'll get an A without opening your book. You learn so much because he actually makes it interesting, he makes everything a story, its great. I love, love, love Dr. V!!!!!!

Dr. V is overall a pretty good teacher! He really knows how to teach and really gets into his lectures. He takes his notes by hand on the board and doesnt have a blackboard account so make sure you attend all of his classes or you will miss alot of information. If you take clear and complete notes you will definitely pass his class.

Dr. V is one of my favorite professors at COC. If you are going to take either History 111 or 112 please take him. He lectures every class you only have 2 term papers and 3 exams with no homework. I didn't use the textbook once and I got an A. You just have to use your notes he gives you.

His lectures are very interesting. He makes it easy to understand and enjoyable learning. 5 assignments the whole semester. Multiple choice test, movie review, in class essay, biography on someone, and final that can be multiple choice or essay, your choice. Don't need the book. I highly recommend!

Mr. Virgadamo is the best teacher I have had in my three years at COC. He isn't the kind of teacher who tricks his students or expects you to learn material not covered in class. On top of his great teaching style, he has a real good attitude and welcomes all questions. Very open mind and willing to help students in and out of class.

Great teacher, funny person. Cares, and makes you care. I've always liked history, but we had people in my class who clearly disliked it coming in. Most of them managed to stay interested enough in the class to do well. IF you can get him (his classes fill fast), then it would be a good idea for you to do so. Btw, speak out. He likes it.

The Man of all Men! He is probably the best teacher at COC without a doubt. Makes the class funny and interesting. Gives you all your notes and the tests are straight from the lecture notes. 1 essay and 1 movie review are required (don't worry they are really easy). Prof V was really fun in class. He made History interesting by really getting to know people in class and using them in hypothetical stories and jokes. There's no homework. As long as you study notes and put in effort for the test and essays it's an easy A.I looked forward to the class every week. Prof V cares about teaching, totally rocks!

I honestly used to dislike history; it always seemed so dull to me. Dr. V changed all that when I took him. He made it very interesting! Related it to students; using us in stories and jokes. Showed the class weapons and such that were used back then. He loves when you participate. I highly suggewst him!

Great teacher! His lectures are engaging. I never got bored (which is tough in a 3 hour lecture) because he was always telling a joke or funny story. Truly cares about helping his students. I would definitely take him again!

He is the best teacher ever!!! I'm not a history buff so when i registered to a 3 hour history class i was worried, but soon after the first class i was fascinated. He makes everything fun to learn and the tests and essays are easy, you rarely need the book (i did not use it) the notes are all you need and his notes are easy to follow

Dr. V is a real gem at COC. His class setup is very traditional: He gives a lecture, you take notes, you do a three times a semester and write an essay or two. He tells you what to study for the tests. He even gave us the option to do multiple choice or free response for our finals. Take his class now, as he mentioned he might be retiring soon.

My favorite class I have taken my 3 years at COC. Dr V. is funny, makes the lectures easy to follow and writes down things on the board that will be on the test. His tests are extremely easy if you pay attention in class and his essays have very clear criteria and he is an easy grader. I got over a 96 on everything he graded without studying.

Dr. V was such a great teacher. Returning to school after a 10 year break was hard, I am so glad I took him. He worked with me and helped me prepare for the written assignments. His lectures were engaging and makes it fun. Take notes and you will be just fine on your exams.

The class was very straightforward, he didn't use Canvas for assignments and everything was done in class. He provided study guides for the exams and always told us exactly what would be on them. Overall, my experience taking his class was overwhelmingly positive and I would recommend taking history with him!

I really enjoyed taking his class! I'm upset that he doesn't teach history 112, I would have definitely taken him again. Amazing funny lectures, he made history really enjoyable to learn, that it clicked for me. His lectures is all you need for the tests.There's only 1 paper, mid term and final. The reviews don't lie.
