The most amazing person and professor EVER! Loved this class. Seriously life changing. The actual class is a bit of a challenge but well worth it. I'd takes this class again in a heartbeat. Participation is HUGE. Mid-term and final straight out of the book but the rest of the class is totally her. I strongly reccommend this class.

Prof Green is the BEST Professor at LAVCC! She is a hands-on approach instructor that expects the best from her students. She does not just give A's, rather we earned them. Laziness does NOT cut it in her class. But by far, I have never had a better Instructor, in all of my education. If you want to learn while having fun; she is the Instructor!

Professor Green was definitely the best instructor I have ever had. Her classes contained relevant information that I could utilize daily. Yes, if you are looking for an easy out, she is not your professor nor will she tolerate students that do not take their education seriously. Very nice teacher, at first it may seem as if she is hard, because we had to do hw for every chapter answering the questions, but I don't think that she reads it all because you can copy all the answers from the book. Very nice and sweet, interesting and funny...She will make you talk though, so be prepared,,but not scared,,

Mrs. Green is one of the rare professors in community colleges that actually have real life experience and she's very willing to share it with the class. Class is concentrated on group work and group dynamics.

Professor Green is a wonderful teacher to have. She says herself, "where else can you get an expert speaker for $60". I guess her seminars are normally expensive! She's into self worth and realizing it for yourself. Yes, you take a test and must read some of the textbook, but most of her class is fun and unconventional. You are what you except!!

Dr. Green is one of the most interesting teachers I have experienced thus far. Engaging and enthusiastic, her teaching methods push you to value your own worth. I find myself using much of what she taught in my everyday life, as well as other classes. To me, that is the mark of a great teacher!

Dr. Green is a truly amazing woman! I had her for Speech 101 fall 07 and enjoyed every minute of this class. I want to take more of her classes and dont have to take them. I have had some pretty good teachers, but Dr. Green is by far the one who has changed the way I look at everything. She is amazing I was in her class for Winter Session and wished it would have lasted longer. Her classes are never boring it is always different. She is truly inspiring. Enlightenment is one word to describe the class. Dr. Green bases more of the class on participation and involvement than havign you sit at a desk and read a book. I would walk to Sepulveda Boulevard to take another Doctor Green class. She is down to earth, very skilled and has over 22 years in manufacturing/teaching at private college and universities. She gives you an NYU education at Valley College prices. You will walk away with more confidence than you knew you had by taking her class! Seriously.

This is one of those classes that teaches you about life more than the subject. Dr.Green makes the class enjoyable and fun, she ripped up the final exam, and she's super nice. She'll grade your speech easier if you go first!

She is literally a phenomenon in 'teaching industry'. Very easy and fun, but learning class. you'll learn lessons of life in her class. participation needed. She is simply great. A mind and eye opener. Very creative method of teaching. There is no exam in the class, but you have to spend time on your final which is to create a game. Good Luck.

Dr. Green is smart and has a very positive attitude. However, she was unorganized and talked too much about herself. I do not feel that I learned anything new. I am a straight A student and received an A in her class however, other students that were in my group who did little to nothing received the same so it didn't mean much.

A wonderful professor and a very FUN class. Took VCAP 8-wk online class which also met Sat. mornings. I was dreading the class, but it turned out to be my favorite. You watch movies, have class discussions online, lively and interesting lectures in classroom, & work in groups to produce a game (which is the final). No tests! Take this class!!

She knows what she is talking about and she gives so many examples until you understand the task completely. I LOVED HER. I have never written a letter to a teacher before, but I did to her because she is amazing. take her no questions asked.

Cant say enough good things about this teacher. I had her for 2 different Business classes and I learned more about business than the two years spent at valley college. She asks for two things: show up to class and pay attention. If your a business major you need to take one of her classes and you will see for yourself how good she is.

One of the greatest professor in LAVC. She teaches different way than other professors do. She did lots of homework, and if u do it then you have your A. Just be in the class every day and do homework, and you will be fine. I also liked that she always kept class interested. I was never bored. Great professor.

Dr. Green can be intimidating but don't be afraid to approach her. She genuinely cares about students. She has a way of making you feel comfortable and safe which is important in a Speech class. Attendance is important. If you miss one class you miss A LOT of info/techniques that will help with your speeches. Also, this class is a blast!

Not an easy class. Take this class if you completed English 101, there is a lot of writing for homework. If you do what she asks you will be good. I study hard for my A. If you are not afraid of hard work and want a knowledge, she is great Professor,you will learn a lot of useful things and will enjoy the class.

Best online professor I have had! Very specific in her feedback and she was always available when needed. She is caring and passionate about the material that is taught . This is a class that you know you are going to learn something in, but you need to participate. Excellent professor.

If you don't like public speaking, Dr. Green will change your mind! No homework, speeches were recorded on GoReact, and very informative units. She creates a very comfortable environment and is really relatable and eccentric which keeps things interesting. She also does not grade speeches harshly, and there was only 1 multiple choice test (final.)

Professor green is a really good professor! you have to do the work to pass the class but the assignment are easy if you study for it and understand the assignments. Speeches are fun too! Only has 3 speeches and they werent hard at all.

Professor Green helped me improve my public speaking immensely. Her lectures helped overcome my fears of talking in front of large groups and now I do it with ease.

Was nervous to take public speaking class on zoom but it wasn't that bad. The whole class is just revolved around 3 speeches that we do. We had to do the speeches on zoom but wasn't that bad. You HAVE TO respond to 2 classmates on discussions or points are taken off but either than that not a lot of reading just some homework besides speeches!

As long as you do what you need to do, you'll be fine. You can't pass a class without putting in the work. This short summer class consisted of 3 speeches and peer reviews. She advises to practice your speeches before submitting which is SUPER helpful.

Professor Green was a great teacher! This was an online course, but once a week her zoom meetings were mandatory, so you have to attend, or she will drop you. There were 2 major speeches we did, and both great topics to think about. One of the speeches had to be on zoom, while the other was online. The number one thing, is to practice, practice!

I liked this teacher because she gave good feedback and wanted everyone to do the best they could. If you want to do good in this class, you need to put in the effort. We had weekly zooms, and if you didn't join, you would be dropped from the class. Overall, she was good, but there are probably easier teachers. 3 speeches (only 1 on zoom).

Dr. Green is FANTASTIC. She'll help you push yourself to grow & she is such a cheerleader for her students. She truly *teaches* public speaking & allows you to explore and make mistakes without harsh criticism. I didn't want to take a PS class but now I'm so grateful I had her as my professor. She's awesome. Take her class - you won't regret it.
