She is very thorough when it comes to lectures and exams. If you want to learn everything and "earn" your grade, Virginia is definitely the one to take.

Virginia is an awsome person! She is very caring and SMART! She knows her antaomy. She is bit tough- but Anantomy is a tough course anyway!! She is very approachable. But for ANY anatomy class - Good Luck, b/c it is tough!!

Incredibly clear. You'll know what you gotta study for. She'll answer all your questions, no matter how stupid they sound. Gives pop quizzes too often. But she grades fairly. Only draw back izzat she can be cold sometimes.

Awesome Teacher. Not an out of the book sort of professor, she is very knowledgable about the subjects she teaches. also a very genuine and caring teacher. As long as you pay attention and review the notes you should ace it.

She's a good teacher, she knows her stuff, she explains good. She does a good job explaining the labs and helpfull, but it is a hard class so you need to study, study, study. Her tests are very comprehensive so you need to know your material.

Wonderful teacher, great if you are interested and WANT to learn, most people drop because they don't take the class seriously from DAY 2!!! All the answers to the (tricky) test are on the study guide which is very, VERY helpful.

Pascoe is very nice and considerate. She grades fairly and the work isn't that hard. you just have to be focused throughout the semester and listen closely to her lectures. She has a sense of humor too!

She is a great prof. She is helpful. I recommend her alot. If you want to learn she is the one to take. She is a physiologist so she knows her stuff. She does not have favorites. She grades everyone equally. To pass the class just study, because no science course is easy no matter who the prof. is.

Great teacher! She is very helpful and funny if you take the time to talk with her. She knows her stuff and teaches it well. The exams are hard but she will help students with any questions regarding the exams or study guides. A lot of reading and studing is required for an A in this course. I will be taking her for Anat. 36.

Very tough. Killer final! Subconsciously plays favoritism. Lectures too fast & tries to cram too much info. Focused on HOW MUCH we learned, not how WELL we learned material. Great instructor for labs. Nice but not helpful clarifying or answering questions. Too knowledgeable so it's hard for her to teach physio in layman's terms. Hard to understand.

WHEWWW!!!! she is great. a lot of studying, too much work. some extra credit each worth 5 pts. HOWEVER, VERY HARD FINAL!!! huhuhu. but, she makes her lectures very clear. i like how she tells stories related to the lectures. she says, "you'll never forget." and yes, i'll never forget! overall, she is hard, fun, clear. Professor Pascoe she's a great teacher! Makes everything clear, anatomy is not a easy class in the first place, I dont think she favors, anyone in general. She knows everyone by name so watch out! heehee If you go to class, take notes, do the study guide and read the book!! then you will do fine! She's funnie too!! =)

Cool teacher, fair. It is a hard course with everything jammed in one semester. She goes through the materials fairly fast but that what people need to deal with for anatomy. Quizzes makes up a good % of your grades, do well and review all materials after each lecture!

Professor Pascoe is really cool and really nice. She takes away points for attendance and tardiness.. which kicked my butt. but also gives u realibility points (extra credit)sometimes for just showing up..and when u attend she trys to make it fun with her funny jokes.

A very difficult subject to begin with. seems like the ones who passed are LVNs already. i did good on everything except exams which i did study for and still ended up with a D. nice professor but she throws so much information to you, its so hard to study for exams. if ur not good with exams and can't learn so fast, i do not recommend her.

Very demanding class. There is A LOT of material to learn. If you want to get an A in the class, you have to dedicate a lot of time to studying. Sometimes lectures are a little fast. But she wants you to do well and is willing to spend extra time to help you understand the subject.

This class was very challenging. You NEED to READ the BOOK! Also, visit her during office hours to ask questions/clarify a concept. Review the lectures and labs the same day so you can retain it better. Shes not that clear on what she wants on papers.

Prof. Pascoe is extremely helpful! this is a hard class!! you need to do a lot of readings on your own. in order to get B or above, you need to do readings on your own and come up with questions during her lecture. don't fall behind and procrastinate the readings otherwise you'll never catch up. Pascoe is really helpful and she cares!!

This is a demanding class. I took it during summer session, and it requires tremendous amount of work. But Pascoe is extremely helpful in lab and lecture. She is patient and is willing to help you until you understand. Finish the study guide and come up with questions for her, you'll do fine for the lecture exam. DONT PROCRASTINATE!!

If you want to PASS your class the first time DON'T!! take her. Her test are hard and she gives you a study guide of like freakin a million terms of like 7 pages long pulse essay question.From the terms you only get like 6 on a test. Not helpful! to pass the test or class! She marks you wrong if you spell a word wrong by two letter! DON'T TAKE HER!

Her voice is the most annoyingest thing ever! Sometimes all i can concentrate on is her voice and not the material. She is a nice teacher that is willing to help you. What i don't like is that soemtimes the test material is not relevant to the BIG hot topics you studied for which makes the whole class get a bad grade.

"Anatomy 35 is not EASY!" She's straightforward and passionate about her class. I took her class during summer and It was hell! Although I passed the class with a C because I wasn't taking the class seriously. In my opinion, she's the best teacher for ANAT35. She gives a LOT of extra credits! Just read her notes and study guides and you'll be fine.

She is a geat prof. If you work, she will work with you to help you understand the concepts. I'm dyslexic and she is tough on spelling, but I wouldn't want to be or have nurse or doctor who couldn't spell things right. This is a science class, if you want to pass you have to put in the work. And, she will help you if you ask.

Dont take Pascoe she cracks terrible jokes to try and make you like her and forget about her unfair grading i did a mult choice quiz and she marked my answer wrong cause she said my B looked like a D when i confronted her about it she said "better write clearer next time" and didnt wana give me credit when u ask her Q's she's always unsure

I had her for Anat 36, and she is not a bad professor. I have to say though she is not easy. She is probably the hardest Anatomy professor at Mt. SAC after Presch. Unless you really can give up most of your time to study, I really don't suggest you to take this class. Only 3-4 students in the class get As. Try to take Meyer for Anatomy if possible.

if u really want to learn take this prof. she really knows her stuff. grades hard but shes willing 2 help u during office hrs. she hands out a study guide for every exam treat it like gold. and complete the entire thing. just rem. dnt procrastinate, study on a daily basis, & devote your time to this class. there is no reason why you cant get an A.

I just fished my semester with Pascoe last spring. During the semester I think I regretted ever taking her on a regular basis. She gives out a lot of work that take away exam study time. She no longer offers a study guide which make it harder. That being said i am now glad i took her. She made me actually understand Physio insted of just memorizing

She is a great teacher but her test are hard... they are critical thinking tests..you take so many notes for what seems to be no reason because you memorize all the notes and you get your test and your lost.... its a lot of work and due dates.. you just have to keep on top of it all... its HARD!!!!! Just to clarify how ridiculously hard this class is, on the first exam more than half the class failed, on the second exam even more people failed. The high grade was barely a B. And in response to this, rather than rethinking her exams, she scolded the class for not trying harder. Ridiculous. Save yourself the heartache and take another professor.

Physiology is a challenging subject to teach but I believe that Pascoe really does try to help the students understand. Be prepared to WORK for your grade and attend all classes. If you take advantage and ask for help, she will help you. But this is def. not a class to just "wing." Study, Study, Study!

I got D's on almost all of the exams but still got a B in the course. She offers a lot of extra credit and is a very nice, understanding person. The subject matter is not easy no matter who is teaching it. Attendance is mandatory for this much material. Her lectures are great.

Easiest way to rate this professor: Don't take her class unless you enjoy stress. About 3/4 of the class failed! And she even called the class lazy and stupid after the mid term! I don't know how people like this are allowed to be professors. I barely passed, thankfully, by working with the students that were left after the mid term.

Very, very HARD teacher you really have to work your ass off to get a decent grade in this class!! And even if you do very good on the entire class your grade can drop 25% automatically if you fail the final... and trust me is very easy to not do good on the final...is a 300 point test! Ridiculous

Pascoe is a great professor, but her tests are extremely hard. I felt like no matter how much I studied, it never really helped. Lab on the other hand was much easier. The lab quizes and final were pretty easy. Overall this class is very stressful and very hard.

Lectures are overwhelming and hard to follow. Study guides are not what is covered on the tests. Professor Pascoe is very knowledgeable, but intimidating. She teaches the class as if it is all review and expects a lot from her students. The key is to form study groups with classmates and never fall behind. Lab is easy, but not worth many points.

Her exams require you to critically think and analyze. It's not just memorizing.She gives pages of notes. BUT, she WILL make you a better student and improve your studying habits. As long as you study, it's not impossible to pass with an A. You just have to commit to this class and give it your all. It's a good preparation for the nursing program.

Professor Pascoe is a great professor and wants her students to succeed. Lab book was your bible and take good notes. Her exams are fair but also tricky. Overall, I liked her teaching style and thankful for her being so knowledgeable and answering questions. She is also super speedy at grading and putting it on Blackboard. :)

Dr. Pascoe is a great professor! She is extremely knowledgeable and passionate at what she does. She takes her job seriously but also has fun with her students. This is not an easy class but she does whatever possible to help you succeed. Very straight forward when it comes to test's and quizzes, no surprises. Take Pascoe, you wont regret it!

I don't think she's the best teacher, but she did make class fun. I did like the fact that she let you know beforehand on what to study for quizzes. She can be harsh at times, but just show that you care and she will warm up to you. The tests can be tricky. Clarify with what she's asking for the tests/quizzes. I would recommend Anderson for Anat 35

She's one of my favorite professors! She was always willing to answer any questions people had, and clarify anything we had trouble with. Her lectures were very clear--the drawings might not be that great, but they did help clarify the structures we needed to learn. She's also hilarious. But DON'T take this class if you're not willing to work hard!

Exam/quiz q's aren't easy and they don't come straight out from lectures.Be ready to spend a lot of time studyin at home.She wants your answers to be specific and detailed when q's themselves are vague.She's weak in grammar so if q's don't make sense,be sure to ask her.Good amount of extra credits.If you have strong background in bio,you'll do fine

There was an error in the system during the registration in the semester I had this class. I entered this class w/o taking the pre-requesite class. I could've learned so much more IF she was patient enough to actually answer your question w/o making you feel like you're slow. I'm there to learn not to look at her judgemental facial expressions.

HARD! Prepare to Read & re-read Every word in the text book, before & after class, lecture notes & memorize every diagram. She is ALL about the little details. Study hard & consistently. This is NOT a prof where you can study 2 days before the exam. she wants you to study everyday. Very thankful she gives lots of extra credit.

Tough class! She teaches with passion, but her tests will baffle you. You can't just read the book and review your class notes. You have to understand EVERY DETAIL, which is overwhelming given the sheer volume of physiology topics. Tests are unreasonable because they include questions that were not to be found in the book, notes, nor online.

This class was freaking hard! I am an A average student. Plan to make time for plenty of studying. You will not pass if you do not study or glance at you book. She loves to teach and is a very approachable professor. Make sure you ask questions for anything you don't understand. You have to study and understand it, not just memorize it.

I really enjoyed this class, specially lab.the class was extremely hard, but not impossible to pass..like other people mentioned in order to pass the class you do need to read and re-read the book and to understand the content..professor pascoe was really nice and approachable :)

Very hard class, strict on grading, make sure to study hard everyday and don't misspell a word or you will lose points. Take Magrann provides a website and many tools for her class to assist in the process. However, Prof Pascoe is very intelligent and knows her subject very well and is a nice prof. Took lab w/her Spring 2014.

This teacher is very tough. She grades really hard you will miss points for everything including spelling Clarity is poor and you have a quiz or test every class meeting. Class notes do not pertain to test &is very confusing you have to read the entire book to pass. I am an A student trust me I only made C &lower in class and worked my tail off.

Professor is very knowledgable about this subject however she is a tough grader you miss points on very little things like spelling. Her tests are confusing and her grammar is poor. Expect a test or quiz at every class meeting. Homework packet about 10 pages per module. You will need to read book and understand every detail. work hard to pass!

Professor Pascoe is a great professor. If you're expecting this class to be easy, don't. It's a hard subject and that's not her fault. However, she does her very best to help you understand the material and gives you plenty of opportunity to ask questions, to do free lab study, and even gives extra credit. Show up to class, study, and participate.

Professor Pascoe is a fantastic professor. She is always available during office hours if you have any questions or need additional help. She is one of the most supportive professors I've had the pleasure to work with. She really makes sure you know the material too. Tip: Record the lectures. Physiology isn't easy. You gotta fight with it.

If you take her plan to work harder than any other class you have ever taken. This class is hard she grades harder!. Memorize , understand everything she says and you will do ok. Record her lecture because she is boring and you will want to fall asleep. Read the book it will help you understand the concepts better than she teaches. dont miss class

Human physiology is one of the hardest classes before you take nursing and will follow you if you don't build a foundation here. Pascoe was unclear, not helpful, vague, and had a couple students she loved more than others (first hand experience.) Have to not take another heavy class with this one. Exams are unclear and tricky. If you want an easy A, don't bother. Has high expectations for her students, knowing that most of them are trying to go to the medical field. Hence, she prepares her students to practice good studying habits (read, attend lectures, and participate). Very caring and helpful teacher, but doesn't baby her students. Ask questions!

Had her only for anatomy lab. First I wanna say anatomy is a hard class overall, so expect a lot of studying and second ask a lot of questions or else you won't get far. She has a straight forward blunt attitude, but shes there to help. She won't come to you, you have to go to her. I would take her again. DON'T MISS CLASS!!

Anat.35 is the hardest class I've ever taken. I only had her for lab not lecture. She helps you find ways to memorize. Ask lots and lots of questions. She's very knowledgeable in the subject. Expect quizzes. This is a hard class don't expect an easy grade. You must earn it. She's there to help.

I agree with all the reviews, good and bad. A&P are hard subjects no matter who you get. She's great at helping you out if you ask questions. However, she should be clearer in lecture. She tends to be vague and sometimes fails to connect the dots for students. If you stick to it, you will be rewarded. Note, she gets more lenient towards the end.

Pascoe is amazing. She's a great person who knows her stuff and is willing to work with you. She's better in lab than in lecture. She gives a lot of extra credit on quizzes. I took the class in the summer so it made the material super difficult, but she made learning easy. I don't have a bad thing to say about her. She's hilarious too.

Pascoe is an amazing professor. Tough class but if you attend her class, review notes and study for quizzes, you will be fine. Hardly use the book because she covers what you need to know in her lecture notes. Gives extra credit and helps you out whenever you need it. She is funny and class is never boring. I recommend her.

Pascoe is a great professor, if you're great. She is better in lab than in lecture. She is vague when it comes to most material. Show up to class, study material covered daily, and apply yourself. You earn what you get. I enjoyed her class, and worked VERY HARD. Anatomy is not easy. She does have favorites though so try to be one of those!

Goes over materiel TOO fast. Jumps all over the book chapters, not consistent. Better at teaching lab, not so good at lecture. Get's irritated when ask to repeat, or further explain a topic. Very straightforward, comes off as harsh/subtly rude. sometimes makes u feel awkward for even asking a question, by her response. She's good @ teaching lab, but lectures are very vague, and quick. Doesn't Follow book well, and changes a lot of words from the text book. Do the lecture notes, it's your study guide for the exam. 13 stud's dropped

Shes really helpful during lab and offers extra credit opportunities. However, you HAVE to be a hard working student in order to pass her class. Quizzes every day and make sure you know spelling. Rushes through lecture but if you use lecture notes, they can be helpful for the exams.

Professor Pascoe is a good teacher. She is very difficult, however anatomy is a difficult subject. She is willing to answer questions if you show her that you are paying attention. I think she was actually one of the best anatomy teachers. I dont think she is trying to make the class very difficult, it is just that anatomy requires a lot out of you

At the beginning of this class, I didnt really like her very much because I thought she was harsh and difficult, but once I re-evaluated myself and the class itself (ANATOMY is no walk in the park), I did great in class with her help - office hours, making study guide, and she gave many extra credit in every test and quizzes. Professor Pascoe was a great professor. Better than some I took at a UC. Her exams are straight forward. Either you were paying attention to her in class or not. Your grade will reflect it. I took her during summer and yes I understand summer is 16 weeks broken down to 6 weeks but she shouldn't teach at a Junior College she's way too advanced. Her nickname is Satan and she lives up to it, I'll give you a perfect example if you take a test or a quiz make sure you know how to spell because if not she marks you off and it affects grade

Took the 6 week course with professor Pascoe. She was caring of her students and worked hard to make sure we understood the subject. Anatomy is difficult but long as you try, you can definitely pass. To whoever said she shouldn't teach at a Junior College because she's way too advanced, you probably were just goofing off and not trying hard enough.

Anatomy is a tough class but she will help you understand the material. Having said that, there is something that other people forgot to mention: she has favorites. If you get on her good side, all is well. But if you dont, shell bring up stuff you did in the beginning of the semester and use it against you. Just a warning, and good luck!

Save yourself. Find another professor. This was my first D in my life. Tough grader. Weekly Quizzes. Spelling counts, even in homework packets. Packets are tough to do because she has you label parts we aren't even doing and still grades you for it. She does not explain muscles well at all. No one in the class knew muscle facts. Trust, don't do it.

Professor Pascoe is one of the best Professor at Mt. SAC. Took her for summer and there were three lecture units exams, pre final, and final exam (cumulative). There are 13 quizzes which are easy. She recorded all lecture videos, very detailed and must take notes. She makes every feedbacks on every works turned in. Overall, shes exceptional.

Professor Pascoe is very supportive, genuine, and caring. I took this class during summer break (online because of COVID) and it was a lot of work, so definitely dont procrastinate. If you know anatomy well you will be fine if you don't you are screwed. Gives questions that were never taught or shown in modules. Does not care about what some students are going through as some students may be in a financial crisis trying to provide for their family. Thinks time it takes for online exams is same as in person. Yea, I definitely enjoyed being in professor Pascoes class. She's a caring professor who genuinely cares for her students. Took her Fall 2020 Anatomy 35, lucky enough to take her. You gotta put in the work though and makes you work for it which is what you would expect towards a complex course. Two thumbs up no doubt.

It's set up so you can watch lecture at your own time yet she quizzes you at the end of each day so its not at your own time. Ridiculous amount of hw, she gave 70 question assignment(worth little point) &each question you had to watch 3-5 minute videos! WORST TEACHER EVER, do not take her if you have other classes/ job/kids/a life. SHE DOESNT CARE!

WORST TEACHER,DOESNT CARE ABOUT U, I was very sick with a DR NOTE, worried I had COVID and she DIDNT CARE and didn't let me turn somthing in later. Crazy amount of hw worth little of your grade. This professor will assign you lab assignments with 40+ questions and make it worth 12 points. She will not accept scanned pdf files because she cannot check for 'plagiarism'. How do you plagiarize a labeling and drawing assignment? Doesn't make sense. Anyways do not take her class. There was nothing left so I just took her class but no, don't.

Since I took this class online, it was more difficult. Although I got an A, I literally did not sleep while taking this class. ALOT of memorization and you NEED to remember spelling. You need to pay attention to lecture and write side notes of what she says because you can find that answer on the exam.

Pascoe is a good professor, but you definitely have to read and study on your own because she doesn't go in depth. Tests are similar to the practice. Homework's are super easy, just copy the diagrams off the notes/book. Article Critique is easy. Easy B, but if you want an A you have to work for it. She offers 30points max EC. I took this 6 week summer course and it was challenging. If not for an amazing group of classmates I'd have dropped, but I'm glad I didn't. Ironically nicknamed Satan, Professor Pascoe is cool, fun, and knowledgeable (she's retiring soon fyi). She is tough but offers lost of extra credit to help you pass the class. To pass: study, read, & ask Q's!

Marks points for spelling, wants everything exactly how she wrote it on exams , nice but super strict grading wise. Her exams are tough and you really need to study alott if you want to pass. If you have anything else going on in your schedule I recommend not taking her class.

This was by far one of the hardest courses I have taken. Most of her lectures were from 36B, making it 100x harder than a 10B course should be. Her exams are super hard as well. This is one of those classes you have to give your all into, do not take it with another science course. She does give extra credit opportunity do all of it, it will help.

Professor Pascoe, she is hard but prepare you in the medical field. Do group study, don't be embarrass with people. I am a slow learner and can't pronounce many words. Everyone start somewhere. I spend 4 hrs each day and group study twice a week. During lab stay till the last minute. Take advantage of extra credit, especially muscle quizzes.
