Very easy marketing elective

goood professor,,,,but don't curve and u have to take 4 exams which are quiet trickey

If you think his exams are tricky then you are most definitely retarded. Majority of his exams come from the quizzes and class discussions/examples. This class is easy. If you just put some effort you wil get an A or A-.

Easy! You take the quizes until you get them right. Take notes on class example and study quizes and you will do great on exams.

Really nice professor. Too nice at times. Class is interesting. Exams are very straight foward. Just read slides and review key terms in the text. The only thing I didnt like about this class were the people in it. Bad attitude.

Exam questions come from quizzes and class notes. The quizzes are unnecessary, and are just a bunch of fluff to add to the couorse workload. He does assign a grade for class participation (not a gimme if you can believe that), so make sure you speak-up in class. You can see his enthusiasm for the subject, and he tries to be accomodating.

He is the kind of professor who doesnt make marketing class limited to a reference book and throws up wonderful advertisements. he welcomes inputs from students and loves to take opinion from everyone. Don't miss any of his lectures and don't forget to take notes - especially examples that he gives. They are most likely to be asked on the test.

Great Marketing Professor, he even tells you the class is an Easy A, just a lot of work thats all.

he's ok. class is REALLY boring, he doesnt take attendance, so u dont have to come but its helpful if u do, even though he post the notes. i say go to the class cuz some of the exam questions come from what he says in class. the test arent bad, but ppl think they will do better on them, than the actually do. over all he's OK. and not THAT easy.

lala's class took up a lot of time but i learnt a lot. the readings were useful for international students

His lectures are pretty boring. Just reads the PPT. However, all you really need to do to pass this class is read the MAR book, do his quizzes and pass exams. I just recommend pplz to buy the book and read. Sometimes it pointless to be in class. But he's a nice guy though. =)

he's alright. really easy. i barely touched the book and got 90+ on every test. the tests are all multiple choice. just do the quizzes on black board, raise your hand every now and then in class, and maybe read the book every now and then. and you'll be fine! attendance isn't mandatory..

One of the best and most useful classes I have taken at Pace. We should have more classes and professors like Prof. Lala

The most difficult MBA class I have taken, but also the most useful. I really learnt more in this class than any other class. If you want an easy class, don't take this class. Very dedicated professor who stayed in the computer lab well after class.

Awesome professor! I loved this class, learned so much, you have online quizzes you can take as many times as you want, 4 tests which are super easy and all M.C., and some online discussions that you can participate in. I say I learned most when I went to class and actually listened to the professor, he knows a lot, and the txtbk is interesting.

Attendance not mandatory but advisable. His Exams are so straight forward and everything he teaches is useful and clear enough to apply to everday life. He's Awesome!!!!....and he knows his stuff. He doesn't teach anything that will not be on exams. GREAT PROFESSOR

His class is very boring. Everyone falls asleep. No breaks. No text books, only Power Point slides. Quizes are a free 20 point. Take him. What a great guy

Make sure you do not miss any in class exams regardless of an emergency you may have. He does not give makeups and treats students that do not show up better to students that attends every class. He cater's to day students and not working or night students. It's hard for him to understand any life issues that may arise while getting your educati

Very easy class. Go to class, take notes, listen, ask, and do hwk quizzes on blackboard. the exams are mostly from the quizzes so study the quizzes. really don't need the textbook; use the ppt slides; loads of examples.

Really nice guy. Class is well structured and you know what to expect from the first day. No surprises, no pop quizzes, no weird exams. And does not take attendance

This professor is very boring but very easy. Attendance is not mandatory (he never check), but advisable because he always covers a lot of material. Exams are easy. Just study what he tells you. Homework i given. He's a nice guy and very helpful, just extremely boring. If you want an easy A and don't mind being bored out of your mind take him.

Lala is a great prof. His hw's are very simple and his class is generally fun. You learn a lot about the world of business and what's going on in the industry. There's a lot of teamwork involved, but as long as you have a decent group you'll do just fine. His final was easy. Just come to class and pay attention. Take this prof!

Great class, I was never bored and this is a 3 hour class. Increased my interest in this subject. If you really want to learn, this is a good class and he's a good Professor. One of the best that I've had in the MBA program.

Class involved SPSS, lots of class and out of class work. Grouped students into teams, which was great for learning but a tough for coordination for a 6-week summer class. Overall, professor was knowledgeable in lectures and was always willing to spend extra time. Class should be full semester course. Great professor! Will take again if possible.

He is a cool guy and if you remind him how cool he is everyday then he will most likely give you a grade you didnt really deserve...like an A. He says he doesnt grade based on favorites...but who is he kidding.

Lala is a great person, but boring professor. You would spend tons of time doing the quizzes until you get a 100 & the exams are ridiculously hard. He assigns 1 group project ( all semester). Must go to class because you will miss lots of material. Way to boring for a 3 hr lecture but if you can handle the workload go for it.

I love him. He knows so much about marketing. He is funny, nice and helpful. His tests were more challenging then I would have liked but if you study (using the book) you should do fine. Attend the classes they help and are interesting. If you put effort into your marketing plan, you'll do good. Lala is awesome.

Professor Lala was very nice and taught Marketing very well. There is very little homework other than the quizzes (which you can take over and over again until you get a perfect score.) The only project you have a is a Marketing plan which will take a majority of the semester. Put effort into your project, DONT MISS ANY ONLINE QUIZES= A.

He is good and he knows what he is doing... I like how he is natural in class and connects absolutely random things to class. I attended every class because it was fun. And what is on the exam comes from class.

I have taken all of Prof Lala's graduate classes. I have learnt the most from these classes. Highly recommend. But, note that the class is hard and full of statistics

Very quantitative class. If you don't like stats, take the business research class with another prof in spring. I hated the class and the work when I took it but only now am I finding out the value of what I learnt. Thank you prof lala

He's a really nice person and very knowledgeable about the field but his use of PPs make the class dull. The project is tedious but it definitely helped in understanding Marketing. The tests are a bit hard and requires one to study the hw, textbook and take good lecture notes. Overall the class is worth it!

Class is not easy. Group project was fun for me becuase I had a good group but i know students who had a rough time cuz their group sucked. The lectures are fun and the professor's jokes are funny in a nerdy way. He actually gives you a formula to crack the exams. Overall, the class was tough but I learnt a lot, especially from the examples.

Every week you have a homework that relates to the prior class. The homework's make up the majority of your grade for the semester. Other than that just a midterm and final. He's very professional and wants you to learn. I really like him as a person, but the course material (market research) is awful. Making it hard to stay awake.

Probably the best professor I have met at PACE university. His homework is tough but real world scenarios. His entire class is hands-on from day one. But I have never completed any class and felt to have learned so much at the end of the semester. I just hope he takes more lectures every semester.

Lala is the best professor I have ever seen for my master, with his enthusiasm and technique, hes amazing!!!

He's actually incredibly hilarious so I wish this class was more lecture based and not on the computer. This class is only fun in the beginning and end (the interesting lectures), the middle part is just all SPSS and that leaves no time for fun lecture and it's instead diving into a statistical program. Only 1, very hard final exam that he curves

Professor Lala is a great professor for Marketing Research. He has deep knowledge of Research methods and analytics. I always learn things from him whether I know the stuff already. He is updated with new technologies and methods. He is very good with all the analytic tools. I would highly recommend taking his class if you really want to learn.

He honestly wants you to do well. This class was a struggle but I think the subject itself is hard. Make sure to do the weekly assignments!!! They make up half of your grade and can save you in the end, mostly why I received a good grade.

His lectures are great and he teaches you how to process and analyze data step by step, which is very helpful when doing the homework.

Professor lala is one of the best analytics professor at Pace. I would definitely recommend him for any analytics course. The class was hectic but you can't blame him as he has to cover IBM Spss, tableau, qualtrics in the span of a semester. Attend all the class if you want to get an A.

I'm an MBA major in his Predictive Analysis class. Professor Lala is one of the best professors I've ever met. He's a knowledgeable expert in marketing & analysis, he's full of passion in teaching and caring for each student! More importantly, he makes the obscure subject so intriguing and engaging for us.

I learnt so much in this class than any of the other classes in my degree! I think Professor Lala really knows what he's doing, he teaches the material so well. You'll learn how to use a ton of software in this class to prepare to attend every lecture. There's 10 assignments and 1 final, make sure to do the weekly assignments on time!

Learned a lot about Tableau in-depth and can tell that it will be a skill that will help my future career. No Zoom option if you are sick which sucked. Only 1 exam/midterm, & HWs helped solidify class/PPT concepts. Make sure you have a good group for the group project. Is a relative grader, so only one person/group will get a 100 on exams/projects.

A fantastic gifted teacher, a real gem for a student. I took a Data Visualization class focused on mastering Tableau with professor Lala, and throughout the course couldn't wait for the next lecture. Very thoughtfully crafted material, lots of hands on practice, you really learn the tool, it's applicable in my job, the professor is truly amazing!
