I like this professor because she is really helpful. What the previous students said about her is not tru at all. She is fair with everyone and want to see students with good grade. She is wonderfull. Take her classe because you will learn more with her.

She is very nice, and the class is really easy. I would say that I have learned a lot in class. She does get frustrated sometimes when people don't try in class, but if you pay attention and try to learn something, she will be pleased (and you will actually learn!) In all, I liked her.

Who can hate Dr Koua? She is a wonderful teacher and most of all A WONDERFUL PERSON!! I have never seen one professor like her because she is too nice with her students. She is VERY helpful and she tries to make the class interesting

Dr KOUA is the best professor at Auburn!!! I have her at 12:pm MWF and I?m actually excited to go to her class. She is so helpful and really wants you to do well... and she is the most energetic person. Looks good always. I like her a lot. Definitely take her!

great teacher! she's a native french speaker so the accent takes a little time getting used to and sometimes there is a language barrier, but she cares about her students and wants them to learn. you can easily get her off topic if you ask questions about her life and culture. i recommend for first time french students.

Very good teacher & exams are very similar to the study guide. very very very loud and sometimes doesnt understand why we dont know french as well as her and gets mad.

She sometimes comes across as angry/frustrated due to the fact that students don't catch on quickly. She is very intelligent and expects a lot from her students. With that being said, she is an extremely nice lady and cares deeply for her students. She will help you if you need and is by far the best French professor at Auburn.

She explains the subject very clearly so that it's almost impossible not to understand it. I've always liked languages and French, she made me like it even more.

I loved her, tbh. She can get frustrated if you don't put in effort, so study and do the homework, but it's only a little bit. If you try, you'll pass. If you get A's you don't have to take the final. There are chances for extra credit, and she really wants to make sure students understand what she's teaching.

Dr. Koua is a really great professor. She obviously doesn't expect you to be perfect with the language, but she wants to see you at least try. I feel like my French has gotten so much better after just the first course. Be sure to keep up with all of the workbook pages after each class and study the review sheet to be prepared for each exam.

This was my second semester with Dr. Koua, and once again, I really enjoyed learning French from a native speaker. You have to put in the study time. I recommend doing some exercises in the textbook before each lecture. Make sure to also keep up with the workbook because that factors into participation. Work hard, ask questions, and you'll do fine.

Dr. Koua is great. Her lectures are interesting and the test reviews she gives really help. She really wants you to learn the language, not just memorize and forget. Her accent is heavy, but she tries to make herself very clear. Tests are average difficulty, READ AND DO WORKBOOK ASSIGNMENTS.

Class participation is big. She's super nice and really genuinely cares about her students. Class isn't a cakewalk by any means but if you take good notes and study you will be fine. Understanding her accent takes a little practice but I would (and did) take her classes again!

Dr. Koua can be strict, but she really does care about her students. If you do your homework and do everything she tells you, she will love you and it won't be hard. I did all my homework and participated in class and ended up getting to exempt the final. You definitely need to attend class and do the workbook pages though or she will be unhappy

I have had Dr. Koua for Elementary 1 and Intermediate 1. Never took a French class until her Elementary 1 and made over a 100. These people didn't do well because they are incompetent. She is the absolute best professor

Dr. Koua really cares about her students and you can really tell. If you've got an A in every section of the course (like tests, quizzes, participation) she'll exempt you from the final. Amazing professor! She is very relatable and makes sure that she is fair to every student. She gave us many opportunities to EARN the grade that we wanted (most Importantly the grade she wanted for all students), an "A". She gave us a lot of extra credit opportunities that really boosted my grade.

Dr. Koua is the definition of a fair grader, so I know that I could have received a better grade if I had worked harder. If you are dedicated to learning french, take this class. As a warning, it was because of this class that I changed my major away from French, and learned that I don't want to learn more French. Good luck y'all got this!

Dr. Koua expects participation. In return, she is fair and willing to work with her students. Learning a foreign language is hard enough as it is and learning via Zoom is less than ideal. However, Dr. Koua was understanding and made it work for everyone.

I really enjoyed taking French with Dr. Koua. She's extremely lively and encourages students to participate and try their best. Her quizzes generally happen once every two weeks and all the material is covered in class. There are a ton of ways to earn extra credit and she's very understanding when it comes to mistakes and sometimes even late grades

If you have to take a language, I highly suggest taking French with Dr. Koua. She truly cares about her students. You will pass if you show up to class, study the material, talk to her if you have any difficulties, take advantage of the extra credit opportunities, and get a tutor if necessary.

Make sure to go to all the movies and french table and you will be good to go! she adds all the points you earn to ur grade at the end of the semester and it brought me up a full 10 points

There are 4 tests, you can be exempt from the final, video project, & there's an oral interview. I learned so much especially with grammar, & she gives so many opportunities for extra credit on the test & outside class!!

I really like Dr. Koua. She is funny, SO generous, and gives a lot of bonus opportunities. Go to the French movies for extra credit!! They are early on and easier than going to French table. Her class will be a LOT of work. Attendance is very mandatory. I didn't look forward to going to class but that was because I didn't like French not her fault.

Despite that, she can have some difficulty explaining concepts at times where you really need them explained to you. A great woman who genuinely cares about students. Tries to meet students where they are at and is very approachable. Attendance and participation in class are HUGE factors for your grade, but help a lot in the end. A reasonable amount of homework, a few quizzes through the semester and a couple of tests, all of which were graded very generously.

Mme. Koua is a very kind and caring professor. She takes her time to make sure everyone in the class understands what is going on and is super compassionate when they don't. She offers a ton of extra credit opportunities too. It's not that hard to succeed with her as your professor you just have to invest some time into it.
