I really enjoyed his drosophila class. He introduces a topic and then asks you to design a lot of experiments to apply your knowledge. All of this is done in groups so not too stressful and you get to discuss your ideas with friends in class which was cool. There is also a semester-long research project also done in groups and pretty interesting.

Amazing class with one of the best profs you will ever meet at York! Just attend lectures, participate and keep up with the readings and you are pretty much guaranteed an A/A+.

Kyle's clear; he makes sure to point out common mistakes to avoid when he lectures. Better at explaining through logic in the numbers than qualitatively, which can be good/bad depending on what you prefer. Sometimes expands a lot on easy ideas but speeds up on harder concepts. If you have a question, go to his office hrs bc he explains in depth!

This prof took over half way for the initial prof teaching the course and he was amazing. He is very clear and helpful, his classes are super entertaining, he is a very fair professor. He teaches in a way that you will understand and remember, and he has no problem answering questions in lectures.

Kyle is one of the best profs in chem department. Take every chem class he teaches you won't regret it. Very clear and easy to understand! Tests fair and easy.

Prof Belozerov is very good! The way he explains stuff makes a lot of sense and is easy to understand and remember. I couldn't understand the textbook before his lectures but after his class everything makes sense. He is also very good at making it clear which terms and names you need to remember. Exam was very fair. I ended class with an A.

I loved that class! Very little memorization and a lot of experiment design and creative thinking involved. You do most of the work with your friends in the class so it can be a lot of fun if you work with people you get along with. I feel this course prepared me for grad school more than any other course I tool at York. Kyle is a cool prof!

Animals is a pretty cool and interesting class with Kyle. Lots of memorization but not too hard overall. Labs are time consuming but doable also. Just keep up with the lecture material (which he records so easy to review) and keep studying the terminology and you will get an A/A+. Sweet and caring prof overall!

Super smart, caring and highly approachable. Tests don't contain any surprises and he does everything he can to make things fair and easier for students. Super hilarious and friendly as well!

I really enjoyed both chem 1000 and 1001 with him. He is very good at explaining chemistry and he teaches you exactly what you need to know to do well on tests. He is one of those rare profs who really care and want you to do great in his classes. Can't wait to take bio courses with him this coming year.

Kyle is a super chill prof! Animals has been so fun and easy with him. Memorize everything he points out in lectures, do the assigned readings and you'll get close to 100% on tests. No surprises! Labs are much harder though.

Amazing professor! Gives very clear explanations of course concepts. I came to his office hours a lot and he really helped me to understand some tricky assigned problems from the textbook. An A/A+ is totally possible with him if you do all of the problems he assigns and come to lectures/tutorials.

Dr. Belozerov makes the material easy to understand and goes through many problems in class telling you exactly how to solve them. I never felt there were any problems on midterms that he didn't explain in class. Very fair and straightforward class with a caring and approachable professor. You have to keep up with the material though.

Best professor of all time, made this class the most pleasant Ive ever had in my life. He explains concepts clearly in ways that are easy to understand, and makes sure he posts lecture recordings and additional helpful info on Moodle. He is very knowledgeable, helpful, hilarious and one of a kind. I hope to have him again in the future!

I found the class quite interesting. The amount of material is very large but Dr Belozerov made it feel manageable by clearly emphasizing what is important and what isn't in his lectures. I always felt guided through the course by the prof and I think without his guidance the course would have been completely overwhelming. Recommend 100%!

Dr. Belozerov's exams are very fair. All I had to do to prepare was just study from my lecture and tutorial notes. I personally didn't even need the textbook. I wish I also had for chem1001 in the summer but it didn't fit my schedule. Overall great prof.

Kyle is an amazing prof, very knowledgeable, and wants everyone in class to succeed. There's one midterm which is not difficult at all if you review lectures and keep up with the material. The group project is easy and fun but don't count on writing it all up in the last couple of days. You will need at least 3-4 weeks to work on it to get an A+.

I totally agree with all of his great reviews, he is an excellent prof. Even if you don't like chem you can do well in his class. Just approach problems exactly as he teaches you in tutorials and you'll be fine. Midterms were very fair. This was the second time I took chem1001 and this prof made chem bearable for me, I even enjoyed it!

I loved animals with Kyle. He is very clear about his expectations for the course and very very accommodating. He records all of his lectures so even if you skip a lecture or two you can still catch up at home. He gives weekly mini quizzes in the beginning of lecture which are a great way to keep up with the material and boost your grade.

Dr Belozerov is the best professor I had at York university so far. His lectures were very easy to follow and I always knew what material is important in his lectures. His midterms and the exam were very fair, no surprises no tricky questions. He tests you only on what he taught in class. I would definitely take other classes with him.

This is not an easy course but the professor is good. You have to come to class and record his lectures. Pay attention to everything from the slides he points out because these things will be on the test. He writes on his tablet during lectures so its easy to follow what he is saying and he circles all the important words on his slides. This helps!

I really like Bio1000 with Dr Kyle. his lectures are so interesting and easy to understand. Midterm was fair and easy. The labs in this class are cool too. Recommend this class and prof to anyone in bio program at Glendon.

Kyle is my fave prof ever. I can visit him anytime for questions. He is so funny and nice, especially if you prove you pay attention and try to answer questions in class. Weekly quizzes and feedback sheets for participation. Group project, one midterm, exam. No textbook, records lectures, provides slides. Pay attention and keep up for easy A.

It wasn't an easy class but I liked it. The prof is very knowledgeable and a good lecturer. I went to his office hours almost every week and he was very helpful. There is no textbook so I always recorded his lectures and then worked through the recordings at home. It took time but I found the material interesting so it was fun. Overall nice prof.

Not the best course to take at night since the material can get dull (lots of data figures). Theres no textbook, so they could ask the smallest detail from the slides on the test. Kyle still managed to make lectures fun, always pointed out what you have to memorize or what is important for the tests. You have to record the lectures yourself.

A good prof but very slow at teaching. When he tells you "all you need to know is..." don't listen to him, know everything even the little details bc I guarantee you it will be on the midterm/exam. I think Peter Cheung is the one who makes the test

I enjoyed the course and found the material interesting. Dr. Belozerov's lectures were clear and well paced. There's no textbook so you have to record lectures and then go over the slides several times. Overall, an A/A+ is attainable if you are willing to put in the time/effort. Lecture attendance is a must. Go to his office hours for extra help.

Biol 4410 was a perfect fourth year class for me. The prof made a very-very accommodating syllabus. I had to work on fridays so didn't attend most lectures and still got an A. He recorded all lectures an allowed to shift all in-class activities to the exam. The material was easy if you like genetics. Read the assigned papers, he tests on them.

Took with Kyle in the summer. AMAZING PROF! It was his first time teaching and made the course super enjoyable. Everything said in class was testable .. so pay attention to things he says because some stuff isnt in the textbook and showed up on the exams! He recorded the lectures so you did not have to show up to class only for quizzes.

i had to work like hell in this class to get an A but to be fair its not the professor's fault. I took the course before with another prof and the midterms were the same. He explains well but you have to do a lot of work at home to make sure you understand every litle detail on his slides.

Explains things properly and succinctly. Cares about students. Funny too. He provides video recordings of each lecture to make studying INCREDIBLY more bearable. The course is HARD WORK though. Straight up memorization. Makes tests very honest: either know it or don't, but he helps facilitate the required studying very well. Overall amazing prof!

I can't recommend him enough for chem1001. He writes the best tests! I always did the assigned problems exactly how he did them in class and always knew how to do them on midterms/exam. He is AMAZING for Animals! Take animals with him if you can. I think he only teaches it one semester. He is so clear for what he wants you to know. Tests more fair then any other bio class I took.

Dr. Belozerov is amazing! So caring and easy to talk to! The course was very relevant to everything I was learning in other Nursing classes. Midterms and exam were fair although you have to study notes and memorize a lot of drug names/mechanisms.

Kyle is a great prof as he is very straight to the point with what he wants to get across and what to focus on for the midterms. Midterms are very straightforward and most questions come directly from the slides or are verbatim from his clicker questions. Highly recommend you take animals with him.

Chemistry is absolutely one of my weakest subjects but Professor Kyle explains everything so clearly. His lectures make so much sense and for the first time ever I am excelling in chemistry. I recommend going to lecture and doing every. single. end of chapter problem and the exam will be a breeze. Sucks I had to take this online, I wanna meet him!

Pharmacology with Dr. Kyle was easy and enjoyable and I learned a lot. Exam questions were straight from lectures, no tricks or surprises. When we had to do everything online due to covid, he made things totally stress-free. Excellent prof.

You don't need the textbook although there are some detail that he tells you to go like prototype drugs. Great prof and funny lectures! Makes the tests easy and cares for the class.

This class is completely different from every other bio class i took before. Almost no memorization, only application. Dr Belozerov is very good at explaining and never rushes and answers every question. But in all honesty it's not a bird course. Only take if you are genuinely interested in genetics (I'm going into gen counselling)

Kyle is a good prof. He goes over the material as much as possible considering he has to cover 20+ chapters in one semester. you have weekly quizes and iclickers and a paper which give u a chance to boost your grade. He can be a tough marker in exams though and can be rlly passive aggressive. overall not as bad as ppl are making him to be.

I'm so surprised to see some of Dr. Belozerov's recent bio2020 ratings, it's like they are about a different course! I was in that class with him and I experienced none of these problems with him. He gives so much practice with weekly homework, iclickers, textbook questions. I got an A+ and didn't find the course all that hard, so I dont know...

I thoroughly enjoyed Macromolecules with Dr. Belozerov. No complaints whatsoever! Learned some really cool stuff about DNA sequencing and protein structures. 4 midterms and optional final was amazing. The peer reviewed project was a fun mark booster. Overall, 10 out of 10 for a 3rd year course.

I found 3051 with him very doable. Some topics are way more interesting than others and the prof seems more excited teaching DNA the most. All four midterms are same format and not bad at all. Final optional. I coulda went for an A+ but chose to keep my A and skip the final. I heard final was harder. Great prof all around.

Dr. Kyle is the most caring and undertanding prof at York. He's easy to talk to and always willing to accommodate your own life situation. I was sick for 2 weeks and he extended my deadlines. Labs are easy but my TA was a hard marker. Midterms were based on lectures and I liked the assignment which was easy 10% grade boost.

He is not an easy prof and none of his courses (I took 3 with him!) are bird courses. That said, he really gives you in his lectures everything you need to succeed in his courses. You just have to do all of the activities and homework that he assigns and you'll be fine! Also, I probably learned the most from his courses than any otehr class at York

Dr. Belozerov is a great professor with a lot of knowledge on bichem. His short answer questions are a little tough. If you don't go over the lecture you wont get a full mark, he looks for specific things. But his lecture are great and labs were easy.

He is a solid and very knowledgeable prof for advanced biochem. The course ran fully online with videos posted weekly and q&a sessions during class time. Tests were fair except the first one but the prof was willing to listed to student feedback. Two peer review assignments easy marks. Optional final was AWESOME!

I didn't mind Dr Belozerov's teaching style in this course. After the first midterm I realized you just need to take VERY detailed notes of his lectures because the test questions are directly based off of the stuff he says. Just looking at his slides is not enough. I think he does it to make sure we don't copy from the slides. A/A+ is achievable

Take his section if you can! He is such a helpful and clear prof. His lectures and tb practice problems is all you need to succeed in his course. He is also very patient and answers every question during lecture and always says stuff like thank you for a great question ) Nice and considerate prof.

I took two courses with Dr. Belozerov and I can tell you he makes you work for your marks but I still find him an amazing professor. He doesn't prioritize memorization and mostly asks application type questions. They are not unreasonably difficult though. Just don't cram the night before the test and you'll be fine.

He is a wonderful chemistry prof and a great person. The course was so well organized and ran very smoothly. Easy online labs and very VERY reasonable midterms. Exam was a little more challenging but that's only b/c it covered everything from the semester. Textbook helps but he really covers everything you need to know in lectures.

I'm surprised Dr. Belozerov is getting so much heat here lately. He is really a very good teacher and a great human being. He explained everything well and was very understanding and accomodating. It's just that none of the courses he teaches are bird courses so some students get upset. I enjoyed his teaching style a lot.

Macromolecules was a pretty good class with Dr Kyle. Very reasonable amount of work compared to my other third year classes. I highly recommend taking notes of his lectures word for word. He doesn't put everything he says on slides and his tests are all based on lecture material. No TB which is a plus. He is also friendly and approachable.

I always thought Chemistry was so hard but Dr Belozerov made the course really easy to succeed in. Very fair tests, straight from what he goes over in class, tutorial especially. He made Chemistry easy and enjoyable!!!

A pretty challenging course but Dr. Belozerov made learning manageable. The assignments were very well structured and organized but it would be better to distribute them more evenly over the semester. Make sure to ask Dr. B questions during lecture, he seems so happy and excited when students ask questions :) I'd take a course with him again.

When I took this course it was fully online, so can't speak for when it's offered in person, but the online course was great! Everything that Dr. Belozerov asked on tests was explained in lectures. The slides are not enough though, you have to take detailed notes of what he says. We had 4 midterms and the final was optional which was amazing!

I liked Dr. Kyle a lot in chem1000. He is a fair and kind professor. He is always there to answer questions, one time I emailed him at 11:30pm and he replied less than a minute later!! The course itself did require work but I never felt too stressed which was really good in the summer.

Chem1000 was the best organized online course compared to other courses I took during covid. The professor was great, he is pretty strict but always fair. I got an A but an A+ is very achievable, I just didn't study for one of the mdterms ;) Will be taking Chem1001 with the same prof.

Dr Belozerov is fantastic and the only reason I understand things much better in Chem now. He is very thorough on lectures and clear as to what to expect. The middle test was challenging, but the other two were pretty good. Everything is clearly explained even when its tricky, so watch his lectures (don't just read the slides) and you"ll be good.

Dr Belozerov explained biochemistry very well and I was able to follow almost everything in lectures. There were some topics like fatty acid oxidation that I had to rewatch several times and write everything down before I fully got it. One negative was the textbook. It was completely useless. Everything on tests was from lectures.

I rarely do reviews but wanted to review Dr. Belozerov. I attended every lecture and found him to be a wonderful teacher. He would pause the lecture and answer every question I or other students had. The material was challenging and abstract at times but I found everything in his lectures to do well on exams. Weeekly quizzes and mcq's were great!

This was a very intellectually challenging and rewarding course. Dr. Belozerov's explanations were excellent even though to fully grasp some of the concepts I had to re-watch the lecture 2-3 times. I appreciated how the professor tried to explain concepts from different angles and by giving many examples. He is also very easygoing and pretty funny.

He was better than I expected but this course is challenging and the work needs to be put in! He explained a lot of processes in detail so make sure you take good notes! There were 2 midterms (20% each) which were fair but the exam (35%) was hard! There were chances to boost your grade tho with assignments and weekly quizzes

Dr Kyle's class made me like chemistry again. I didn't do well in chem in high school but had no problem getting an A in Chem1000 because the prof was really good. All tests were calculations and lewis structures so doing paractice problems was the key. and he goes over all important calculations in tutorials!

He's honestly the best biochem prof you can get. I heard also Rosonina is great too. Lectures are very clear. Always willing to answer questions. 25% of the course is soft marks (weekly quizes, small assignments) which made the course way less stressful for me. Exams were not too bad but I had to study a lot.

This was quite possibly the most interesting course I have taken at YorkU. Dr. Belozerov conducted the course more like a research seminar than a typical undergraduate class. I have never before enjoyed so much interaction with a professor and I feel I grew intellectually in this class. One of a kind, amazing professor!

Kyle is such an amazing professor. For a course I really was not to excited about, he made it more fun and interesting and really cared about teaching the concepts and making sure students understood. The grading criteria was also very fair. This course was difficult but having Kyle made it the best!

Dr. Belozerov is one of those teachers who focus on making you understand the subject and not just memorize formulas. I really appreciated this about his teaching style. Only the first two chapters are somewhat challenging. The rest of the course is a breeze.

Biochem isnt an easy course, don't kid yourself, but the prof is fine. He makes exam questions that are like 90% from the slides/lectures and 10% new application, so you can get a B+ or even A with low effort but for A+ he makes you work! He offers extra office hours before each midterm and I found those really helpful. He's polite and genuine too.

He is a solid prof for chem and the way he explains topics is good. If you learn from his lectures the tb isn't really needed. He's also always available on discord to answer questions quickly.

He's just an amazing professor which really inspires students through his lecture. The course was just all calculations but he goes through all the problems slowly but surely and help us to understand the content. Overall, he's a great professor.

What I liked the most about Dr. Kyle is that he focused on helping us understand the chemistry concepts he taught and not just memorize how to answer questions. I attended most of his online "study sessions" and found them incredibly useful. When I took the course he was also the coordinator and the way he set up the course was excellent. 10/10!

The course was not easy for me but tbh the prof went above and beyond to help us students to learn the material and prepare for midterms. He was by far my favorite prof this term, looking forward to biochem with him next year

This is not an easy/bird course. You will have to work for a high mark, however, Prof belozerov was very helpful in ensuring we succeeded. He went through practice problems in class and made sure that we understood the concepts. It is highly recommended you do all provided practice problems to be successful on the midterms which were tricky.

Dr. Belozerov is an amazing and very easy to deal with professor. His lectures were clear and to the point. Being in his lecture was a great experience. The way he organized the course was great too - the optional final was so helpful! Lab TA's in this course are pretty easygoing, so labs were not stressful at all.

Absolutely phenomenal and perhaps the best educator I've ever had so far in my academic career. Goes above and beyond, sacrificing his personal time to ensure students are successful. Is extremely knowledgeable and truly cares! Cannot recommend him higher.

He's one of the best chemistry profs here at york. I wouldn't say the course was easy but he goes over a lot of examples in class and gives practice midterms. The key is not to fall behind on lecture material, learning everything the day before a midterm won't work in this class, believe me thats how I lost my A+ )

I was so scared to take chemistry but with this prof i am actually starting to understand!! chem. I wouldn't normally rate a prof in the middle of the semester but this prof is AMAZING!!

Dr Kyle is probably the most patient and caring prof I've had in uni. He's always so willing and happy to answer student questions and provide more details about the material. His class always felt like a fun and low stress environment! strongly recommend!

Good prof but the course material is not easy. Fair midterms and quizzes + other little things to help you boost your grade. Final was cumulative and harder but maybe it was b/c I took it online.

Prof is very enthusiastic about the material and takes his time to explain every topic. He makes chemistry enjoyable. However, this course was pretty difficult and the concepts were a little harder to understand. Overall though, the Prof was amazing and did his best to ensure everyone was on track

This prof is an angel, Trust! His exams are all based on practice problems he assined so you know what to expect. This is one course that is actually enjoyable for me this term )

Chill prof, easy midterms, no complaints. Labs are easy too! He records all lectures so easy to review.

The material is mad hard ngl but the prof does all he can to make getting a good grade possible. Tests are based on practice problems so easier to prepare. Lectures are good, he goes through the material at a decent pace, about 30 slides per lecture. What worked for me is listening in class and then taking notes from recordings.

The class is quite easy and the prof is easygoing and funny. There's only maybe one or two topics that are a little challenging. Definitely recommend taking if you want to refresh your chemistry knowledge! Labs are not bad either and my TA was amazing. Overall an easy science class.

Tests are so easy in this course. Literally if you review lectures you are ready! Such a low-stress class.

The best part of this class was how Dr. Belozerov organized it. All exam questions were based on the assigned problems so we knew exactly what to practice to do well on exams. I also loved the peer-review assignment and other online assignments that were excellent grade boosters. The only negative is the large amount of info in this course.

He's one of the best chemistry profs I've had, took chem1001 with him in summer and it was a great class. Exams were very fair and based off of textbook questions. His lectures were great, he's always so energetic )

Took him over the summer, A nice prof, he gave us bonus marks. make sure to attend the lectures if you wanna do well on the test and if you do all the tests you don't have to go to the final (unless you wanna take the risk because whatever grade you get will be submitted)

I really enjoyed his biochemistry class. The course material is very dependent of the chem 1001 topics so review those if you can before taking biochem. The way his course was structured made it possible to earn an A if you practice assigned textbook problems and submit small online assignments of time. Overall a well structured course.

He is a very supportive professor. Tests are based on assigned problems so I knew exactly what to focus on while studying. He runs a discord channel for the course and will answer your questions within minutes most of the time. Material was not too easy but the prof was good.

Great Prof and provides entertaining lectures, as well as fun assignments. However his biweekly quizzes are annoying and do not relate as much to what he taught in class. Additionally the short answer section on midterms and the exam are based entirely on textbook questions, so you have to know the textbook answer verbatim or u don't get full marks

Tbh Dr. Belozerov deserves every ounce of his high rating. The course was very organized, the prof was friendly and helpful. The material was not easy but you can tell the he was doing everything he could to help us understand the concepts and make studying for tests easier. I was always looking forward to his classes even tho they were at 8:30 am

I am not a science student but took this course to satisfy my science credit requirement. This turned out to be one of the best courses I took at York. Dr. Belozerov's lectures are crystal clear. He moves through the material slowly and answers all student questions. Labs were fun and easy and my TA was great! 10/10 course

Dr Belozerov was a course director for the course and organized everything perfectly. All policies were fair and easy to follow. All exam questions were from assigned homework which was really helpful. 10/10 professor!

Well organized and easy course. You could tell Dr. Belozerov wanted everyone to do well. Exams were based on assigned homework problems, so to get an A, focus of those. Labs were meh but my lab TA was helpful and nice.

Amazing course!! This is the only course I've taken so far where we do all the practice problems right there in class with the prof and work in groups and get credit for this work. Doing so much practice really helps me learn these concepts. Wish more courses were run this way

Take chem1001 with dr. B if you can, he makes exam questions based on practice problems so you always know what to study for. I wish he taught second year too

This was a great course and the Professor made it both fun and interesting. A lot of the students had math and chemistry fear and he really helped them deal with that in a positive way.

This prof is amazing! I understood so many of those chem concepts that I was confused about back in grade 12. Easy A+ as long as you come to class and do the work. Labs are very good too, never more than 1 or 2 hours.

He's a very easy to understand professor, breaks down every topic well and gives examples that are great for test preparation. He always emphasizes the topics to be tested and willing to answer questions.

This is not a difficult course at all and the professor is nice and easygoing. Everything is in lecture slides and the tb is not even necessary.

The course was heavy and the tests were challenging, although very closely linked to homework questions. It was just a lot to memorize and know, especially the exam. Still, it was enjoyable because Prof was always available to help answer questions. The mini assignments were a lot of fun too.

This is an awesome fourth-year course overall with lots of student presentations, debates, and writing. Dr. Belozerov keeps the discussions light and lively and is very knowledgeable on pretty much every topic. The midterm was very fair. The first topic (COTS) was a little dry but the course is great otherwise.

This course was based on writings and presentations mostly, with just one test based on about 4 lectures. I found the presentations and discussions quite interesting and learned some new cool stuff. The prof is very caring and easygoing.

One of the best profs at york. Learned more with him then I did during my collective 4 year undergrad. Focuses more on learning concepts rather then memorizing information. Very clear lectures and assessment instructions. Cannot wait to take another course with him this semester. He also makes lectures engaging by cracking jokes.

This is a pretty easy course but does require a bit of memorization. Student presentations are a big part of your grade which I liked a lot and found useful. Quizzes are easy and the prof is very accommodating. Overall great bio class!

Not the easiest course but testing is fair and lectures are engaging and material interesting. About 30% of the final grade is based on participation and online projects. The rest - mini-tests and the final exam. An A is very achievable and slides is all you need; for an A+ I'd recommend taking very detailed notes of lectures.

Very easy and fun course but you have to pay attention to the instructions the prof posts. No exams, just presentations and a few very short quizzes. Some topics are more interesting than others but overall I learned a lot of new stuff.

This was an excellent fourth year course and Dr. Belozerov is one of my favorite professors. I feel like I really learned a lot of new concepts in the course and also had a great review of things I had learned in earlier courses. Tests are not too easy but are fair. I would recommend attending classes and taking detailed notes.

Dr. Belozerov made the course quite interactive and engaging. He's also great at explaining advanced concepts in a simple way making his explanations easy to follow. There was a lot of details, gene names, and technical terms in the course but no more than in any other fourth year class. Great experience overall!

The prof was great and made clear criteria for success in the course. Most of the term was student presentations and class discussions which were quite interesting. There were four short quizzes and they weren't too difficult plus he gave a few bonus points. overall recommend.

I found Chemistry easy with this prof. He explains well and tells you what to focus on for the exam. No complaints, recommend him.

Dr. Kyle is actually great at explaining biochem topics and concepts. I did poorly in first year chem and hated it tbh but I am loving biochem now bc the prof makes things so easy to understand. The best way to learn in this class is follow the methods he teaches in lecture. 9.5/10 prof

Dr Belozerov is a great prof and the course is very manageable and well balanced in terms of workload and expectations. He's also great at simplifying concepts so they are easy to remember and apply.

Really enjoyed this course with dr. Belozerov. The workload was very reasonable compared to my other classes - I studied prolly 2-3 hours per week and finished with an A+. Straightforward quizzes and tests with many questions directly from assigned practice problems. He gives everything (except glycolysis) on the formula sheet which is great!

As someone who was terrible in high school chem, Dr. Belozerov made chem doable for me. He knew what he was talking about and can predict where students might have trouble. Shows exactly how he solves equations (not vague). Tests were fair if you do textbook practice and listen well to lectures. Mine was during summer and lectures were recorded.

Professor Kyle is an excellent teacher and cares deeply about his students. I enjoyed his CHEM1000 class so much I chose to have him again in BIOL-2021. If you put in the work, he will reward you with a fair chance at an A+. Thank you professor, I wish you the best.

Midterms straight from practice problems and lectures. No trick questions, very easy if you review lectures and do homework every week. I think many other students find this class hard only b/c it relies so much on 1st year chem which many have forgotten. But tbh the prof reviews all these concepts in lecture anyway.

Human Evo with Dr. Belozerov was one of the best and easiest courses I have taken so far. The class was so engaging and thought provoking. Loved it and definitely recommend.

This was an amazing course! You get to use a VR headset which you can take home for the whole semester and learn about protein structure in VR. I've been learning about 3D structures in every biochem course but never really understood them until I took chem 4055. Highly recommend if you are interested in biochemistry research. Easy A/A+

This course was one of my favourite taken at York. Very laid back and thought provoking class with lots of discussion. The professor is very nice, hears out all the students, and grades very fairly. The only thing I would say is the pop quizzes are slightly harder than how he makes them out to be so study well for those.

Probably the best and fairest professor for this course. Those complaining are bad students. Just do your fair share of work and you'll do better than others in the same course with other professors.

Honestly the course was great and very unique and memorable. The only thing I did't care for was a ton of group work but Dr. Belozerov said he will remove group work going forward so the course will be even better. Recommend to anyone who's interested in biochemistry!

Dr. Belozerov is the best! It's my first year of uni, and he was very helpful, clear, and straight to the point. He made the transition from high school to university super easy. I'd pick him to be my professor in every course if I could.

funny prof, explains very well, understanding, he listen to complains and willing to make improvements (changed his test to be easier), 100% would take any course he would teach in the future, he is praised by students who are willing to put some effort. the course is heavy on memorizing and the tests have long questions, but i think it's very fair

Dr. Kyle is among the top 2-3 professors in chemistry for me. He explains everything so simple and clear and goes through lots of examples. Tests were very fair. Most of all his course helped me a lot in CHEM1000 that I took the following semester.

I took once chem1001 but I droped. Then with Dr.Belozerov I took chem1001.He explains all chapters with details. Also he was my lab instructor too. With him chemistry is not hard at all. Main thing to focus on is homework problems. Final was bit harder than midterms. I am going to take Biochemistry with him next term.

He's a really nice prof and his test were fair. Just make to do to all the hwk cause they're similar to the midterms. Overall I definitely feel ready for chem 1000 and 1001 thanks to his class

Dr Kyle is a wonderful professor and the course itself is very useful to prepare us for chem 1000 and 1001. Everything you need to know is in lectures and he does a ton of examples. All I did to prepare for midterms and final is just go over lectures and got an A+

The course itself is quite difficult but Prof Belozerov made it actually enjoyable. He has a way of explaining even difficult concepts so many students can understand. I felt the midterms and the final were all totally fair and all based on what he taught in class. You have to take detailed notes though. Overall, great prof and interesting course!

The prof covers a lot of very advanced concepts in this class but he explains very well. If you review after every lecture the workload is manageable for a third year course. I found the midterms and exam fair and there's 10% easy assignments as grade boosters.
