This is by far the easiest Economics teacher at Siena. Too bad he's taking next semester off. Test aren't too easy, but curves are huge on tests. In my class a 30 or higher was passing! Depends on how stupid the other kids in class are

Dr. Trees gives a great lecture and makes dry stuff interesting. He is really a great teacher, I look forward to class. If you come and take notes and study for the 2 tests and final you should have no problem getting an A. He likes participation too, even if you give wrong answers.

Such a funny guy and defienetly a really smart man. Tests are very hard but he curves them and also your grade as a whole. Not too much homework and I would definetly take him again for another class.

Simply the best teacher at Siena that I have experienced. You will learn more in one session of his class that a semesters worth of some others. Tests are not easy, but the curve is great- and you actually do learn a lot. TAKE HIM NOW!

Very smart guy, he is a raging liberal though - so be forewarned. His midterm was ridiculous, but it is a take home test. Haven't taken the final yet, but I heard he curves his test and everyone always passes.

Trees is the man. Took 102 over the summer. Most interesting class ive taken at Siena. I learned so much. Got low grades on tests, because of difficulty, but ended up getting an A- because of a curve. Take him if you can!

Amazing teacher. Explains things in a comprehensible manner and doesn't just use the confusing jargin from the book. Show up to class, pay attention, take notes, and you'll be fine.

Not only is he a vault of information, but he knows how to relate to his students 10 times better than any professor at Siena. He is funny and makes class interesting. Trees is a great prof. He may seem a little out there,but he is a really nice guy. His classes are interesting and as long as you read the textbook(which the textbook is the best/most readable text I have used) you'll do fine...Highly recommended

Trees was a really great professor. He was very opinionated, but extremely knowledgable in all aspects of life. He taught me so much in and outside the classroom. Class is not bad at all. Notecards on tests, big curves, etc. Go to class, pay attention and you will learn and get a good grade. Hope to take Trees again.

Trees is probably the greatest professor alive to date. Kids that achieved 40's on exams got high C's as their final grade. 70 and up is an A pretty much. Absolutely fantastic.

Amazing teacher. He is so helpful, knowledgeable, and really applies what you need to learn to real life. Definitely take him.

Probably the best professor at Siena. He's pretty tough, his three tests for the semester count for the majority of your grade. He lets you bring an index card with notes to test, but his exams are still pretty difficult. He's also a really nice guy, and although he's a tough professor, he really does want you to do well and will work with you.

Let me put it this way - he should probably be teaching at an Ivy League school. Simply put.

Dr. Trees is such an amazing professor. I love that he doesn't use powerpoints. It is mostly a lecture. He lets you use a 6x4 notecard on every test. There are 3 tests within the semester and quizzes on a book that boosts your grade up. He curves your grade a lot. Take him!

If you have the chance, take him! He's an amazing professor. Cares about him students and their grades, he may be intimidating at first but he's a great guy. I've taken two classes with him so far and I'm looking forward to taking some more.

His class is mostly lecture but he does a good jib of explaining concepts and uses examples to make his point. Great professor, doesn't give much homework, if any. Best professor ever! Talks every class, barely any homework, and tells lots of real life stories to make the class easier to understand and more fun. Tests are very fair, only 3 in the semester. If you participate and show you care, you'll get an A. He's hilarious and really cares about his students. Best professor I've had, take him if you can!!

EASILY the best teacher I have ever had. Most importantly, he is just great at actually teaching. Even with no economics background, you should do fine. Be aware, 3 tests make up 90% of your grade. This sounds scary but its not. Take notes, study and he curves all the grades. I would take him again in an instant.

It's not even a question, take Scott for Honors micro and macro. By far the BEST teacher I have ever had. He makes class so much fun and he can easily make everyone laugh so much. He's really good with grading, and if you make an effort to show you care then getting an A is really easy. If you are a freshman or anyone needing econ, TAKE HIM!!!

Dr. Trees could easily be a stand up comedian if he wants to. His class is lecture heavy but all the lectures are hilarious and are full of anecdotes. He makes economics incredibly interesting. His class is test heavy but he curves all the tests. If you participate in his class and take notes you can easily get an A.

Chill professor and can crack a joke or two which I can appreciate. He’s also engaging with the class and keeps everyone locked in and has people wanting to participate.

Scott Trees is quite possibly the greatest professor I have ever had. When you first take him, he might come off as a little abrasive, but believe me its all for jokes. He is helpful and genuinely cares about his students. He often spends an entire class gearing us for our future. He rarely gives work and is just a great guy.

Sometimes goes on long tangents that weave in pertinent information. Make sure to take notes on these because he will expect you to remember the pertinent parts (even if maybe 70% of the tangent is irrelevant). Otherwise, no complaints. He knows what he's talking about and is more than willing to answer questions and talk about literally anything.

Dr. Trees is an amazing prof. He is so passionate about economics and it shows through his lectures. His tests are fairly simple if you listen to him. He's also super funny and genuinely wants his students to learn. Absolutely recommend.

He is passionate about what he teaches and wants to help his students learn. Comes off really mean and scary at first, but he's a good guy. Tests are really easy but participation is important. No homework other than an occasional reading. Be careful in the real world because sometimes he gives info that is no longer true. I'd take him again.
