well help you i u need it .....great teacher and tutor
I took her class for physics 1 w/ calc 1. I took the summer class, There were no labs, homework was assigned but not collected, no quizzes, ONLY TESTS!!!!. The whole class grade was just tests. She was nice letting us retest when the whole class did poor. but I passed this class with a B only because I studied between 3 or 4 days a week many hou
I would not take this class it is very boring, get real who just want to take tests the entire time no interaction and learning. I would not recommend this teacher. Boring, no assignments, goodluck.
She is not very clear and cant relate to her students. The tests are graded out of 20 points, and tests are the only grade. she also has hw, but doesnt go over the hw right away, ex. we are going over chapter 10 hw while finishing up a lecture on chapter 12. we are hving a test on 8,9,10 while shes lecturing on 12. wtf??? dont take her whatsoever.
AVOID HER AT ALL COST!!! .....she's a liar, I didn't like her teaching style. Her class is boring and she's not clear. Many students dropped her class. tests are not easy.
Tests are brutal. All test questions are combo physics questions. You will not be tested on one principal at a time. She will combine five to six principals into the mother of all physics questions and expect you to be able to figure it out during the test! The test questions are not like the homework. Class size at beginning: 30. At the end: 8.
This class is difficult but hey it is physics! The people who do not do well are the people who do not try! She does not collect homework. Exams are based on the homework. There was only 2 labs. She is very nice and will help you with anything.
She is an excellent teacher few of the teachers that really care about the students. Her test come from homework which she solved in class. I mean what else do you want??. She has an accent but you get use to it in the first class. The most important thing you really learn!!!!!
She is an excellent teacher, very consider and always ready to help students. Covers all problems in class and her test comes from the homework. If you spend some time doing homework, for sure you will get a good grade. She is a really, really good teacher. Slakers, obviously will think different!!!!
Very Good, Very Caring, Very helpfull. You can tell she really wanted to help and that she really wanted the students to learn.
Her English is a little messed up, but overall the class is pretty easy. If you can put up with words like "substract" (subtract) and "tayta" (theta) you'll get through this class no problem.
Extremely helpful and understanding. She teaches well and focuses on practical applications of the subject. 40% of the grade is online homework and 15% lab and attendance. Tests are based on online homework and final exam is based on tests. One can easily pass this class with a good grade.
EASY CLASS TO PASS! All homeowork is online and is straight from the textbook.. you also get unlimited number of tries to complete the problems. Make sure to do the homework and do the labs and that is already 55% of your grade. You get to drop 1 test out of 4. tests are 10% of your grade each and final is 15%
She was okay. She gave us all the answers and questions before the test on Valencia's front door so study them period. And you will get a hundred on every test and quiz. Very hard to understand sometimes and borning most of the time. but its easy class easy grade and a completed since but I did learn things so its all good
If you have to take Physics, I definitely think you should take it with Dr. Khattou. She's an excellent teacher and really knows her stuff. Her tests aren't hard if you study the material and the on-line homework is really helpful.
Excellent teacher. She really wants you to understand. Lectures then works out problems, and those class problems often appear on test. Easy to get an A. 1/4 tests dropped, labs dont require writeups.
Class was SUPER easy, but VERY, VERY boring. She lectures AT the class and didn't allow for any interaction or discussion. She's a really nice person, and she gives out great study guides for all tests/quizzes, but she makes the class TERRIBLY boring. Bring some coffee if you wanna stay awake.
Great teacher, but completley boring. If you pay attention in class, you'll get an A. If you don't show up to class, then use the study guides because there word for word on the test. Impossible to fail. Very nice teacher, and helpful too! I'm gonna take her for Physics
If you are intelligent, she is interesting, if you are somewhat obtuse and think school is for parties, you might not find her interesting. Made the subject come alive.
She is a little boring, but the important thing is that she knows her stuff and is able to explain it well. There are four test, and she drops one, and also a final which is open book. the test consist of only 4 questions and you are able to have a formula sheet. HW is online, and the lab is open lab so thats a plus. Overall i liked her class!
She's really nice and polite but her lectures are very boring. Class is super easy but you won't learn a thing. She gives you a study guide to tests and quizes with all of the answers and it's exactly like the test....you can't fail.
Yes, the lectures are a bit boring, but if you listen you will learn and pass the exams. 4 tests (lowest grade test is dropped), 4 questions no multiple choice, must show work and partial credit, which is a lifesaver. Online HW, easy labs you can complete w/ a partner, and final open book. Also, bring your formula sheet for each test. I got an A!
This professor is the best teacher I have ever taken. She is very passionate about the subject and teaches it very very well. I hate physics, but this professor made it very easy. The only thing that sucks is having labs that aren't scheduled in the class time (but that's not her fault, it's valencia west policy) Highly recommend her!
She is a very good teacher. She explains everything clearly (regardless of her accent) multiple times in multiple ways until you understand. A lot of people say her class was boring, but I happen to like astronomy which helped keep me stay awake for the class. I'm now taking PHY1053 with her, and I haven't changed my opinion of her.
Dr.Khattou is enthusiastic about teaching and loves to see her students succeed.Physics is hard enough so she breaks it down into manageable chunks with decided organization and expertise.DrKhattou takes the time to make sure you understand and grades you based on your understanding instead of answers.I'm not a math person but I enjoyed this class.
Her lectures are extremely boring, you literally have to fight just to keep yourself from falling asleep. But besides that the class is fairly easy she provides study guides before each test and quizzes so it's pretty hard to fail, study the guides thoroughly and you should pass.
I absolutely love her. She is a fantastic teacher! She loves teaching and explains everything thoroughly. She has infinite patience. I had a horrible PHY I teacher so I was afraid of PHY II, but she made everything very understandable. Do the problems in class and online HW and you'll be fine. Register early, her classes fill up fast!!
Great professor! Online hw, 4 Tests + Final.
Awesome teacher, tough subject. I was worried about taking physics II but she is very smart and a hard-worker and it comes out in her teaching. Definitely recommend her to all.
Awesome teacher! Loves teaching and makes sure everyone fully understands. Online Hw, 4 test and a final, definitely recommended! A lot of examples and tests are easier than any problem you'll do in class.
GREAT PROF!!! Physics is not an easy subject, but she made it easy! She explains everything you need to know to understand and master the subject. Absolutely recommend her! So thankful I had her.
Awesome teacher! Cares about her students and loves teaching.
Excellent teacher, actually use book samples to show concepts, very little HW, test are very doable if you go to class and she is very fair when grading the test. DO ALL YOUR LABS, thats the biggest part of your grade. IF you are at UCF this is the teacher to take. learned the hard way after taking class at UCF and Valencia East
One of the finest teachers I have ever taken! Dr. Khattou is a wealth of knowledge. That's saying something because I often will stump professors with my questions but not Dr. K. I took astronomy honors and the class was easy. She would essentially hand you the test in her study guides. If you want to learn a lot, take her she is fantastic!
Dr.K was one of the best professors I have ever taken, she's always there for you and willing to help with queries. What makes her class fun besides discussing the coolest astronomical things is her willingness to discuss star wars, star trek ideas, quantum physics and other question you've for her. TAKE HER! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
3 exams & final. Drops lowest test grade. Homework is online. She would get irritated with the class if no one participated. Took this class with orgo & microbio at ucf. Tough but do-able.
Prof. Khattou is very passionate about her subject, and very knowledgeable. She lectures using powerpoint but you don't need to take notes if you don't want to. She sends study guides for her tests and quizzes, and all of the questions on them are word for word out of the study guide. STUDY THE STUDY GUIDE.
I was told that this professor was amazing and that her exams are easy going. I took physics 1 and worked hard and passed with an A. I took physics 2 with this professor and failed. Her grading system and exams has CHANGED. do yourself a favor and get a different professor especially if you're heading towards the medical field.
Labs, quizzes, Hw, exams are all graded harshly. She wants everyone to be a perfect physicists. She does teaches but makes her exams hard to pass. I formed a study group and only 14 of us got an A. 7 students dropped out of the class because they couldn't handle physics 2 with her. I hear other physics 2 professors who teaches and exams are easy.
Took her for PHY 1, I passed the course with an A. She explains everything related to the chapters. Online homework is tough, you can ask her for help. Review all the problems she did in class before your exams and you will be fine. The course is not easy, but you need pay attention and complete all the labs.
Professor Khattou really wants you to understand the material and does everything she can to make sure everybody understands. 9 labs 4 test drops lowest test grade and final is only 10% of grade but is open book and multiple choice. Make sure you do all online home and labs because that is 45% of your grade. Overall very good professor.
I highly recommend this professor for physics. Yes, you have to go to class, take notes, and do all the homeworklabs. It's not an easy class, but that is to be expected for a physics class. You have to work for your grade, but she is very fair. She explains the topics very well, does plenty of practice problems and cares about her students.
Khattou is an amazing professor. Don't expect this class to be easy, because it is not. You have to STUDY hard if you want to pass. Labs are long but it'll help your grade greatly. There are 4 tests, 4 questions (2 per chapter). Her lectures are clear and easy to understand if you pay attention. She drops the lowest grade!! I highly recommend her.
Really nice. Helpful. If you go to class you will most likely get a B or above.
Dr. Khattou has an obvious passion for what she does. I took a two and a half hour class so lectures would get boring sometimes (as it would with any class) so I'd recommend a shorter class if possible. Quizzes and tests are super easy and she gives study guides for everything. She'll call you out if you're being disruptive! Very willing to help.
She is amazing. She really cares about you understand.
Great teacher, super patient. I had her for physics 2 and she actually made me enjoy the class compared to my physics 1 professor who was not so great. Highly recommend. Lets you drop a test and replace it with an easy optional test at the end of the semester.
Professor Khattou is one of the sweetest and kindest persons you can meet. She shows a lot of patience with the students and is always willing to help. If you pay attention in lectures and read a little the tests aren't very hard. Although the Wiley homework assignments are no joke, they are very difficult. Overall an amazing person a real gem.
gives 4 question quizzes for every 2 chapters, quizzes can be tricky but quizzes can be found online searching the textbooks name. tests are cake she gives you a study guide with the exact question and answer. 1 presentation with a partner, you have to teach the class an assigned chapter. Long lectures and she expects you to pay attention.
Dr. Khattou is a great professor. Physics is of course a hard subject, but she takes her time to try to explain everything as simple as possible. 4 tests plus the final drops one test, and 9 labs plus lab reports to go with them. Test are 4 questions, 2 from each chapter so 2 chapters per test. She gives partial credit on test which really helps.
Certainly not an easy subject, but she really breaks it down to the best of her ability. Lecture is very boring, but she really cares about her students and wants you to pass. 4 exams (1 is dropped), 9 labs, homework (worth 25% of grade) and the final isn't too bad given the nature of the material. I got a B and didn't really study that much lol
Great Professor! This is not an easy class by any means, but if you study for it, you will do great. Make sure to understand the practice/hw problems as the test pretty much comes from those two. Ask her anything, she will be happy to help understand a topic.
By far one of the most passionate and sincere professors i have ever taken. She loves physics and it is very evident in the way she teaches. despite have a horrible physics 1 professor who dropped half way through the class, professor Khattou's teaching was so thorough, i was able to learn everything i missed from physics 1 AND get an A! TAKE HER!
She gives amazing lectures every time. Shes an excellent professor to take astronomy since shes very knowledgeable. I would only complaint about its grading because her quizzes are sometimes very confusing. But still, great professor.
I thought I was not going to like this class. However, she is really good to explain. I super recommend her because I have not finish my semester yet and I already like her. Very good professor.
One of the best professors in Valencia. Take her.
She is the best for physics! Only 4 tests (1 is optional, 3 mandatory ), 4 questions of homework, labs, plus final. Allows formula sheet for tests and cares about her students passing the class. She can move a little fast at first, but once youre used to her teaching style, it's very easy to follow along. Very nice to her students, highly recommend
Dr. Khattou is one of the sweetest professors I have taken in college. She is always there to help you, and she explains everything step by step. There is no way you will not pass this class with an A if you show up to class, do the Wiley homework, and practice the problems you did in class. I look forward to taking her in Physics II! Real Gem!
She is one of the best professors I ever had. I had below a 31 on the first exam, then below a 41 on the second. got below an 81 on the third exam and on the last exam I got below a 93. I did all the homework and labs and showed up to class and I passed the final and ended up with a B in the class. Shes great.
Physics is not an easy subject. You have to work hard for a good grade. Dr Khattou is an amazing professor. I can tell a lot of good staff about her. Guys trust me, she is the best. Just take her. I took 2053 with her and I am taking 2054c in the next semester.
Nice lady. She cares for you as a student. Her tests are calculations, but you get to bring one index card of formulas. What sucks is the physics lab you gave to schedule outside of class hours. These jerks working in the lab will give you a hard time, insult you, and make you feel stupid. It's bad enough you have to do lab on your own time.
Professor Khattou is so sweet and she seems to really care about students. Her test has only 4 questions but they are all easy if you go to class and pay attention. She makes physics become easy and understandable to you. If you're not a math or physics person I'd definitely recommend taking her.
The professor is amazing, the only thing to complain is the lab not being included on class time. You'll spend 2-4 hours each week at the physics lab
Absolute gem of a professor. Simply incredible! Very sweet, kind woman, who truly wants her students to do well. Physics is tough but she makes it so easy to understand and provides so many opportunities to do well. Labs are outside of class and 20%, homework 25%, final 10%, 4 ch exams 15% each with one drop. Easy to talk to, and SO understanding!
One of the best professors I have ever taken. Her tests are straightforward and basic concepts. She goes over hard problems in class and give simpler ones for tests while other professors go over easy problems in class and give hard ones on test. She is very sweet, it is very hard to fail unless you don't study, don't complete the hw and lab.
She's a great professor and understands that physics is difficult to understand for some oh her health science or pre-med students. She goes over a lot of questions in class and shows you how to do them step by step; making the exams a cake walk.
I took this professor because people said she was good, however, she needs to check her attitude. She gets mad when students don't know something or can't quite remember what she said. She does breaks down the topic, but she is rude when you make mistakes. The lab people are so annoying and confusing, just tell them what they want to hear.
The professor tries to help you understand, but she needs to understand that people have other classes besides her or have jobs and have to balance out their life. Why are you condensing students because they cannot remember things? Her tests are not from textbook like she claims them to be, and the homework is different from what she teaches.
Lovely lady!! She teaches so well.
worst prof ever. mad rude and not understanding at all..
She was great at the beginning of the semester, BUT her teaching style went downhill towards the end! She is very rude towards the class when students don't grasp concepts. She NEVER inputs hw/lab grades, only tests. This makes it hard to know what your current grade is. Her time management is awful. Crammed 3 tests in last 3 consecutive weeks!
She is a great teacher! Basically if you go to class, take notes & write the important formulas & concepts, you're good (she allows a notecard with formulas for tests.) She will also work on problems in class for awhile & personally help most students get the concepts. Physics is hard subject, but she's the best professor to help you succeed in it!
Professor Wafaa Khattou is a great professor. physics is definitely not easy I had to work hard for my grade and It was a rough semester because I barely studied, but she honestly makes it easy for us but you have to study and read the textbook! If you skip class, you won't pass. Make sure to do ALL of the labs and hw's and that alone will help.
JUST AMAZING!! she is the best professor I have had at Valencia. physics is so hard but she breaks it down into a much simpler way. She has been so helpful outside of class and through emails. She truly cares and wants to see her students succeed. The class is not easy, but she makes it a breeze!! take her I promise
Lectures are important. Beware, she is very condescending when asking questions and will frequently respond "we already learned that" and sigh. Grades everything literally the last few days of the semester so you have no clue what grade you have. She only grades tests in a few days. Good at explaining but talks fast. She is helpful and available.
Professor Khattou was able to handle the whole online switch pretty well. She's very nice and understanding. Your grade is based on hw, labs, and tests. The tests are not THAT difficult as long as you study the hw and her examples in class well. Her explanations are thorough and helpful.
If your a person who hates physics, its not because its necessarily hard. Yes its a learning curve. But it's because you had a crappy teacher. She puts her heart into it and wants you to enjoy it even if its not the funnest thing in the world. Super kind and has the best intentions to get you over the hurdle. Thanks professor!
She's such a caring professor! She makes sure that everyone understands the material and go over it as many times needed. She really cares about her students. I took her for both Physics 1 and 2 and her class really helped me with the MCAT.
I spend more on this class than I do all my others combined. She doesnt answer emails. Gives poor direction in labs. And doesnt care that you have jobs or other responsibilities. Tests are from 8-9pm. Due dates are given to you 1 week in advance. Can hardly understand her lectures. Thank god for the transcripts. Take another professor for online
The professor is not the best at teaching, I wished she gave examples of problems in her notes instead of using non-numbers like alphabets. The class is easy if you have good work to work with.
She is NOT an online teacher - and its VERY clear. She doesnt understand how to format an online class. Its group project heave which is 100% inconvenient. Her lectures are long and rambly so its hard to follow along and she writes everything in her hand writing which is basically illegible. I do NOT recommend her.
I hated Physics, but she made me enjoy learning it. Her video lectures are very helpful, helping you get deeper insights into the matter. You suppose to purchase the WileyPlus at $69, a learning platform including textbook which benefits you to succeed. The online labs are easier if you can use online tutor resource. 5 TESTs and 1 FINAL.
She explains material in a way that is easy to understand which is important because physics is hard. She is also very understanding and will accommodate any scheduling issues you might have. She gives good feedback on lecture assignments and tells you exactly where you went wrong so you don't make the same mistake twice.
Lectures are hard to follow & dragged out. Exams are not bad but its only 4 questions, two attempts per question, so one wrong question and your highest possible is already a 75% (maybe 78% if you get the units right) but the biggest prob is the lecture assignments they are not really like the exams or HW she makes them up and are unclear. Study!!
Taking her defines patience. She has a very thick accent, so learning from the lectures is kind of hard. I basically read the book and used lectures just to clarify things. Shes accessible for office hours and will help you with questions, but she does get frustrated easily in the process. There are group projects but you do your own work.
Many of my peers recommended Prof.Khattou to me. She is good at explaining concepts, BUT her exams are ridiculous. 3 exams + final. 4 questions per exam and a harsh grader. I have A's in Phy 1 and both Orgo's so good luck but her lectures don't help with hw + exams.
I took her at UCF. Haven't taken the final yet and I already got an A. The trick is to go to lectures in person, read the textbook, and do the practice problems in the book. She's really sweet and caring. Half our unit exams were online with open-book + lowest grade drop. Physic isn't easy, but if you try in her class and you will do well.
If you can honestly take this course with someone else do it. Her lectures are NOTHING like her exams. She gives you examples during class that are great for practice and learning but if she feels like it she will not include them on the exam thus you're left with a surprise! Exams are 4 questions so fail 1 and say goodbye to the A on that exam.
PT2: She also writes her own questions and lets just say you will be trying to figure out what she wants for the 1st hour as her grammar is NOT IT. She's also very disrespectful at times, often subtly will call you dumb...so just heads up Valencia. This is not a quality professor. Also our final is open book yet no one has the book :)
Took her at UCF and she was great. Not very tech savvy but she is really nice and a good lecturer. My best advice is to do the Wiley practice problems and pay attention to problems she solves in class and you can get an A. Most exams online and straight forward. She has a thick accent but still understandable in my opinion. Drops lowest exam.
Very knowledgeable, this is the second time I took her class, the first time I had a lot of things going on and I wasn't achieving the grade I wanted. I took her again and I was more prepared, I had more time to study and get ready. She is very accessible in person and online and if you have difficulties, she will help you. Shes kind and cares.
For the person that complained TWICE: All her test material comes out of the BOOK. She is always willing to explain you further if you PAY ATTENTION. GIVES PARTIAL CREDIT EVEN IF YOUR FINAL ANSWER IS NOT RIGHT.SHE DROPS THE LOWEST TEST GRADE. PLUS she ALWAYS tells (plenty time ahead) that the final is OPEN BOOK and allows students to borrow HERS.
Absolutely the worst professor I have taken at UCF. Not tech savvy, does long equations on the board not included on tests, Tests were ridiculous and no one even showed up to her lectures. After the final exam she doesn't answer emails regarding critical information about your grade. She made an error with a grade and wouldnt answer my question.
Took her in Summer A at UCF. She is an amazing professor who wants students to really learn and have a good foundation in physics. Even though the summer made her rush through some content (especially at the end)her office hours was a great resource. Though not tech savvy, she makes an effort for the students. Would take her again in a heartbeat.
Really cares and is understanding towards her students. Took her in Summer A, so some topics were slightly rushed but I still found it manageable. Her tests are similar to the textbook problems she does in lecture, and she let the class decide what day we want our test.
She really cares about physics and she wants her students to succeed. Make sure to attend class as most of the tests are basically similar to the questions that are done in class. In-person and a few online exams.
Took it during summer A at UCF so it was very fast paced. But, her exams are fair as long as you study notes and do practice problems from the textbook. Genuinely caring and wants you to succeed so provides resources for you to do well. Great professor!
I don't like how the assignments are 4-10 questions with a single attempt. Doesn't make any sense and just makes it impossible to get a good even if you study. I'm tired of buying useless ''study'' programs that do nothing for me but drop my grade. Her lectures are fine but she expects the class to remember everything from Physics 1. Oh well.
Khattou was a great teacher who made it simple to understand complex topics. I took it at UCF in the fall, but I wish we met more than once a week. It felt like not enough time to properly learn everything. There are lots of grades and an extra credit opportunity at the end of the year that boosted me into an A. Most tests were online too.
Amazing professor who is really good at explaining content in a way all students can understood. She is quick to reply to emails and is super understanding of personal situations. Although attendance isn't mandatory, you'll do well if you listen to her lectures and do practice problems from the textbook.
She talks extremely fast. For a lighter subject that may not be a big deal but for a complex subject like Physics that requires a lot of thought, it is difficult to follow along with her and process the information at the same time. When it comes to tests and points, she is very kind and sparing but her homework is nothing like the tests or class.
Do not take at UCF. Her class structure is very poor. Her lectures are extremely basic for a college PHYSICS class with calculus concepts. It is near the end of the semester, but we are currently 4 weeks worth of material behind the other profs. Almost no assignments and bad grading scale The homework assignments are very hard compared to class mat
Prof Wafaa is very caring and will let deadlines slide + let you turn things in a couple of days later with no penalty. Her lectures were terrible, boring, and speaks very fast. A total of 4 tests worth 45% of your grade. The grade depends on the test. Does not do practice problems in class, you have to teach yourself EVERYTHING. Do not take her.
Great lectures that go over the basic concepts, but no practice problems or actual practice is given. Everything is self taught and the grade is nearly entirely exams made up of questions complex questions that are easy if given the right knowledge and practice, but become difficult due to the class structure
Grade depends on test (45% of your grade), everything else is either worth 1 or 2 points. No practice problems to help with tests are ever given, everything is self-taught. Score low on tests and you'll fail the class. Don't take her unless you don't work and have time to teach yourself everything. Very unfair grading scale.
Idk what everyone else is talking about but I found Khattou to be a great professor. Literally told us that the tests will have questions from the 10 question homework assignment(s). You definitely will have to practice on your own but thats college lol. As long as you do all the hw assignments and maybe some textbook questions, you'll be fine.
Khattou was an amazing professor. We had 3 exams, a final & homework assignments on Wiley Plus. Exams are fair & easy if you study, go to lecture & do practice problems in the textbook. She was nice and caring & assisted students in the classroom & outside. 9 labs which were tedious and long. The physics lab assistants were mean and condescending.
Prof. Khattou is knowledgeable in Physics, I can say that for a fact. But I found her teaching style to be difficult to follow. Her course resources and hw don't match what she teaches sometimes, and there is not enough clarity within the class structure. I found this class hard to manage because I did not have enough guidance for some questions.
Don't get wrapped up in her 5/5 rating really focus on the 4/5 difficulty. Moreover, this class is very difficult and it takes a previous foundation of physics to succeed. Choose carefully!!
Very difficult class. Studied a lot. A lot of self-studying. And it doesn't even matter because questions are pulled from anywhere. Do your self a favor and don't choose this professor.
Okay let me just say that this professor is super critical when she is checking everyone's work individually in class. if you require a little time to really grasp the concept, she will judge you hard and treat you as if you're slow, dumb, etc. her tests are not so hard, 4 questions all math and allows a notecard. not bad of a professor.
The professor is okay. She lectures too fast for my liking so I usually relied on Youtube or the textbook for help. Tests were also good, they were usually grabbed from in-class problems we did and/or homework. This class will require a lot of self-studying so beware; use the practice stuff given in the textbook!!! She allows a cheat sheet as well.
The professor had an accent, and she repeated herself a lot, so it was difficult to understand fully. She also talked fast. The professor expected students to know already the things she had just gone over. There were four tests, each with four questions on two chapters. The homework problems are harder than the problems on the test. Get tutoring.
She is very caring and lenient and clearly wants to see her students pass. Although she can be somewhat critical when reviewing your work on in class practice problems that was literally explained a couple of minutes ago. Tests correlate to the in class problems so make sure you understand them. The hw was much more difficult and not much help.
Mixed mode class, very short exams in person, homework was hard majority of the time, lots of studying/reading involved which will reflect in your grade, the more you study the better your grade, and lectures were repetitive but can be found online too. Straightforward class, the professor is VERY sweet and always ready to help!!!
Do yourself a favor and take her!! She is the most caring professor I've ever taken. She actually made me like physics. She is very understanding and wants her students to learn and understand whats going on. Exams were not bad(3 questions-2 chapters) plus you get a reference sheet. Homeworks and lab were the only annoying parts.
She's very sweet and helpful. There were four tests and she dropped the lowest score plus a final, where she allowed a formula sheet. There are in-person labs you have to reserve and if you miss three, you'll fail. The labs are easy though so go to all of them.
The teacher has a strong accent. While it doesn't block understanding, it can make you zone out because the lectures feel repetitive. The class is very test heavy two questions in person, with 2-4 more online after. Labs are annoying but easy to finish. No study guides either, just hope you studied the right thing. Lots of people got C's.
She was one of the worst professors I've had in the past seven years, to be honest.
Professor Khattou cares about students and wants them to succeed. Exams are fair if you do the practice problems and attend class. Unstuckstudy was a great resource for study prep.
This is the first time I write a review on a professor. Dr.Katthou is one of the professors that you will feel judged if you get the wrong answer and would leave you in the spot. There is no study guide, the homeworks do not help on your study since there are questions that you never seen in class. Professor speaks with accent and very fast.
Professor is a good person. but it stops there. The course is a joke. No study guides or practice. lectures barely help and all over the place, and the tests are SO HEAVILY weighted it will make or break your grade. 5 total. Definitely wouldn't take again. Labs are also a long waste of time and barley affect grade. Terrible terrible experience
I took both Physics I and II with Professor Khattou. I noticed some people complain about the accent, but she speaks really clearly. She heavily emphasizes logic. Her lectures are really clear. She struggles to keep on schedule due to the sheer quantity of information. Each class I took two exams on the last day. She does practice problems
