I highly recommend this professor. I alwasys hated bio. But he makes it very clear and he always uses example to help you understand. Don't buy the text book. His notes are enough also he uses blackboard. If you miss a class you can take the notes from there you won't be lost. So I ssay HELL YEA.

A week before exam , he tells all the quizzes the exam is going to cover. He tells page by page. All you have to do is study what he says and it will be an esay A, Trust me!!

He is an very interesting professor, who would integrate humor as part of his lecture. You never feel bored in his class, and the materials you learned from his class will stay in your memory for ever. Excelent professor

A&P1 Lecture. Really knows his stuff and tries to help students. One of the most caring and sincere teacher I've had. Textbook reading is a must, it helps alot. Lecture notes are in an organized format and breaks down each section of your reading. If you study well, you'll get an A.

the whole idea of this professor's class is that at the end of the day ,you the student should make the effort to read.He does make one want to read about the specific topic covered which is a necessity for any subject. He is a fantabulous professor!

U know.. before taking his class i read all this posts about him and i was worried Beleive me its all a bunch of lies. he is a good teacher very intelligent and is very clear in the lecture and concept explainations. his class is really interesting and i hated bio, now i like it. he is a very nice guy too. tests are easy just study well youll be OK

He is, by far, the best science professor I ever had. Took him for Micro and A&P I--he explains very well, but you need to read the texts too. Exams were very fair, and pretty easy if you study his slides against the text. Lets you study during labs before exams/quizzes. Very helpful and straightforward.

i loved this professor. very clear on wat he wanted you to know..exactly what he taught was on the test...if you took notes there is no reason you cant get an A...he might scare you at 1st but he tells you exactly wat he wants you to kno so stick with him

Samarrai is a good lecturer and is helpful when you ask questions - as long as he can tell that you have been paying attention. The one issue is that his tests are hard - not because of the material but because his test questions are completely incomprehensible. You can't figure out what he is asking!

Dr. Samarrai is an excellent professor. He is very clear and he has a wonderful way of presenting his material. He uses a lot of examples and analogy to make hard concept easy to understand follow. His online material is even better; it is supported with animation, video clips and extra links.

HES A GREAT PROFESSOR...he does have an accent..but u can understand him; he really dumbs it down for people..he posts his notes online (blackboard)...and u juse have 2 memorize the main parts of his notes..his exams are based on his notes so its a piece of cake..not to mention 4 a bio professor with an accent at times he can be really funny!

Dr. Samarrai is by far thebest professor in the world ! He really enjoys teaching. He really tries his best to make you understand the material. With all my experience, I have come to the conclusion that my best professors were those that really enjoyed what they were teaching.

Had his for A&P Lab...He was Extremely easy. At first he would scare you when he explains what would be expected in the course, but as you progress you would realize that the tests are really easy. His labs were fun, because it was basically a free for all...labs were mainly used for studying...Only bad was that he would leave during class. A+

This professor rocks! He uses different methods of learning like videos and images and he involves students so you really feel like you're part of the class. And the best part is you really come out of the class knowing the material. Must take!

Attend class, pay attention, study regularly, and you will be fine. His exams are fair because he knows a&p is alot of material. Those who complain about his rudeness are probably not ready for bigger challenges.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE PROF SAMARRAI. He is such a wonderful person, and makes the material very understandable. He answers any questions you have and doesn't make you feel stupid for asking them. If you take good notes, and study them, the exams are very straightforward. To get an A you definitely have to work a little harder than the average student

He's a great professor! His lectures are good, and he tries to make sure everyone understands what he's teaching. The slides on blackboard are the key to acing his exams. His lab is an easy A ! He's pretty funny, and chill.

Had him for lab, funny and laid back guy. But mostly makes up the curriculum as the semester goes, ie. random extra credit for answering questions correctly. Lab quizzes are pretty much memorize diagrams and label them. Sometimes word banks, sometimes not. Most of the time spent in lab is actually just studying the lab manual.

Over all a teacher that is clear and gives good grades if you at least try and show up to class.

Dr. Samarrai is a great and he is very helpful if you ask. Course is very organized. If you follow the instruction and do the work you will do well. You will not only learn but you will enjoy his teaching and will not feel the time in his lecture .

Solid choice. Had him for A&P 1. Held my attention during lecture and was able to explain things very clearly. His explanation of how muscle contraction occurs was the best.

Amazing professor. But you need to go to class, study the slides posted online and you will pass with an A. Always there when you need help. Funny and cool guy. Definitely will take him again. Highly recommend him if anyone ever need to take this class.

you should print out the slides and bring them to class b/c he teaches from the slides. When he draws or tells you something in addition then just write it on the printed slides or notebok. I always memorized everything the day before and got 90s. Theres no homework or assignments just tests. he gives like 10pts if you can answer a certain question

Best lab professor. get to leave early after lab is done. makes everything simple and fast.

Great profesor. Seems very hard and mean but its just his appearance he really helps you out. No hw. Not many test. Funny. As long as you read and memorize all his slides you can get an easy A. Not a tough grader at all. But he does not like to repeat himself. If you take his lecture then You really want to be in his lab class too

I hate biology with a passion but I have to take it because of my major. Professor Walied makes Biology so easy to understand and he's extremely funny. My classmates and I find ourselves laughing every class. He's truly one of those teachers you wish can teach all your classes. If you can't pass Bio 1101 with Professor Walied, school isn't for you

One thing i learn from this professor was If you can't explain it to a 6 year old, you don't understand it yourself! He always tried his best to help us understand in the most simplest way possible.

he is fantastic! he makes it super easy to understand everything but he is always willing to explain it a few times if you don't understand something. 4 test and that's all. Take him, he is an easy A if you put in the effort!

This was the easiest lab class I've ever taken! Just attend class and participate in the experiments for an easy A. Professor would show a video, explain the experiment for the day, and let the class do it on their own. At the end, he discusses what the results should be and lets us go. His class requires little to no work. Take him!

If you're unsure about taking him, just take him. He's a rare gem and probably the best professor you'll ever encounter. I loved that we didn't need to use the textbook and he explained everything so well. I'd take him again and again if I could. Super nice and hilarious, gonna miss this class.

He is one of the easiest lab professors ever. You watch a video on what you are going to do, he explains and then you do it on your own. One thing I will say is he is rude and can come off a bit strong but as long as you do your work he won't bother you. Also his quiz are easy. I just don't see how anyone would fail his course.

BEST PROFESSOR!!! Had him only for lab not lecture, he's amazing, super easy class, show up, watch a vid, he explains it briefly and then start the lab. Doesn't give extra work. Quizzes were vocab, just search on your phone and u leave early.

Prof. W. Samarrai is one of the GREATEST PROFESSORS I've ever had. His teaching method is easy to follow. If you don't miss classes, and take notes of everything he says, you'll be fine for the exams because what he says and teaches during the classes is what comes out on the exams. Try to take the lab class with him too.

The best teacher I had for a lab class. He is generous and doesn't give out tests. At the beginning of the class, he puts on a video to help us understand what the lab is going to be about and starts the lab class right away. he lets the students go early. And if you mess up something he helps you try to understand what's wrong. VERY KIND.

Lectures are long, Labs are super easy. For the lab quizzes you can use your phone to look up the answers and talk to your friends.

i had him for lectures and he was a good teacher, he gave review sheets, he did go over the slides quickly, but he will always repeat what he said at the end of each chapter. his tests and assignments very ok, it wasn't hard, but it was at the same time. honestly just study and you'll get a good grade

Only had him for lecture (online asynchronous).He was very straightforward and made your grade based on 4/5 tests, each test Increasing in difficulty. He provides many helpful resources to help you self study, as long as you do your part you'll be fine. Lectures are straightforward and goes over any confusing parts. Does not respond to emails

Straightforward and a bit intimidating at first, but if you do your work, he's incredibly nice and chill. Makes jokes, explains concepts really well, might let you go early for lecture and easy q's in exam and the lab has open-book quizzes all the time. Honestly, I need him for my anatomy class, he's just that good.

Absolutely loveddd this prof. He is very funny and chill. He lets you leave early if you finish your lab and gives you quizzes that are open book so there's no way on failing! If you have a chance to get this prof don't waste time, best you'll get.
